That would depend on what striking the pressure points achieve mechanically.
If it's just "does [some %] extra damage", then it would be a passive.
However, if it's something like outright paralyzing, stunning or disabling someone, causing them to suffer diarrahea or vomit or go completely numb, then that would be considered an active skill.

Bascailly, any combat skill with a particular effect, or that has a notable impact on the target/area it is used on/in, is an active skill. All active skills cost MP.

For example, in the case of a pure fight.

Something likethis would all be considered 'active skills':

Explosive Punch: Infuses your fist with fiery fury and, upon striking someone or something, unleashes a blast of explosive flames that both knocks the target back and deals physical and fire damage.

Stunning Palm: You strike an enemy with a well-placed, high-precision palm-strike that makes them flinch and become momentarily defenselss for a short time. Doesn't do a lot of damage but leaves the opponent open for successive, undefended beatings.

Sleeper Chop: With a carefully aimed chop, you strike a vital area of your enemy, causing them to collapse into a heap on the ground, fainted and useless. This skill only works against opponents' with exposed vitals though and is useless against heavily armored targets.

Jewelbuster: An inelegant attack where you punt a male enemy's crotch. Despite the outrageously low and dirty feeling you're left with afterwards, none can deny the efficacy of this attack, as it leaves the target writhing and helpless on the ground. Only works against male humanoids with no, or very weak, lower-body armor.

I hope this helps. Otherwise, I'll try to explain it ... Better, I guess? xD
There's no rush to make characters yet, guys. :P
On the topic though, I'd like to clarify something about the stats.

Vitality directly correlates to how much HP you have. The higher your VIT rank, the higher your overall HP.
Likewise, Intellect determines how much MP you have. The more INT, the more MP. All spells, or special abilities/moves/skills that aren't just a variant of a basic attack, cost MP.
I'm not going to set any rules or restrictions on how HP and MP works provided everyone plays fairly. I don't wanna hafta slap numbers and things like in-story post-cooldowns on skills just because someone with E-rank INt decided it'd be perfectly feasible to throw fireballs that blow up ina 30 ft radius one after another without pause...
In addition, the stats are not the same as in the 'Fate'-series. Ergo, there are no +/- modifiers to stats. You either have 'B' or 'A' in a stat, not 'B+' or 'A-'.
Finally, I know I mentioned somewhere that your characters' stats can change, but please keep in mind that for the most part, they won't. Most likely, you'll be able to raise you dominant stat in some way or another, but overall, you're not going to end up with 'A'-ranks in all of your stats, even if you hit level 100+.

Sorry to rain on anyone's parade, just wanted to clear this up for the sake of avoiding making a fuss about it later.
There's no player-limit until the OOC goes up. ;)
It's an interest check, if you're interested, then go ahead and say so. :P
<Snipped quote by BurningDaisies>

Gromgard: "Good kitty." and pats his head.

Ashara:
No, you cannot. Explicitly monster-like monster races would get attacked as soon as they apporached any humanoid settlement. Driders, Lamia, Cyclopi, Hapries and so on are not eligible races to play as.

Stick to humanoid and two legs, thank you. ^^
@Enkryption
Why not? Sounds fun.
Druid Girl turned her head when she heard the rather distinct thumps of the lizardman's footsteps. With a melodic 'Good morning~!' she greeted her big, red friend. As they were all together once more, she listned as first Steppe Archer said that she'd like to stick with the druid and lizard, whereafter said lizard agreed that there was no point in splitting up. This made a big smile appear on the druid's face and she nodded energetically in agreement.

"Uh-huh! I think we'll work well together." She added, even if they actually only had done two jobs togther, and both of them were very... Tame... But hey, you needed to start somewhere, right?

A couple swears and grunts from the kitchen later, and the inn-keep returned, carrying a bowl of steaming porridge and sat it down infront of Druid Girl with a heavy clonk. In addition, he dropped a roughly carved wooden spoon down next to the dish.

"There. Eat. Enjoy." He said gruffly, turning away and returning to... Whatever it was an inn-keeper did.

Druid Girl barely had time to blow on the food, before shoving it into her gob. However, despite her love for eating, she didn't seem too excited after tasting the... taste. It was, to be blunt, very bland - and not particularly well cooked either. A tremendous disappointment, and it showed on the girl's face. She looked like she had just seen someone strike a puppy, which had made her sad. She quietly, but unenthusiastically, ate her meal, spoon after spoon gently clinking against the clay dish before it was all empty. Once done though, she perked back up and turned to her allies.

"Well then, let's be off! The guild should be opening right about the time we get there." She said, getting off the stool at the counter and walking over the door, pushing it open with a bit of oomph.

Outside, the sky was still a bit pale and pink in places, but an overwhelming blue was slowly starting to creep across it. There were a few white clouds sailing lazily about, but nothing to worry or be concerned a bout. Palisade Town had yet to burst into full bustling, but there were already some people on the streets, and doors and windows were being opened and unlocked in anticipation of the new day. Stepping outside, the druid took a good, long and deep breath of the fresh morning air, exhaling with a pleased and refreshed sound. She looked back inside at her companions.

"C'mon, let's go! We don't want anybody else to snatch up all the good quests, right?" She jested with am exaggerated wink.
Hah, nice to see some characters popping up.
Just a pointer though, Afro.

The 'Profession' section refers more to a second-hand or alternatuve set of skills that are more focused on support, production or manufacturing.

If we use World of Warcraft as an example, you have the main Classes like Warrior, Rogue, Mage and so on, but each player can also choose two professions or talents in addition to their class.

These include things like Blacksmithing, Mining, Herbalism, Alchemy, Tailoring, Enchanting, Leatherworking and even Cooking and First Aid. Basically, the Profession-part in the CS isn't meant to state what your character's actual "job" is in the world, like if you're a Royal Guard or Military Commander or Skullery Maid, it's meant to denote any additional and useful vocation or craft you practice alongside your main RPG Class/Job.

Of course, I guess an Assassin could be a sort of Profession, in the sense of maybe an alchemist-blacksmith hybrid who fcouses on making poisons and/or concealed weaponry and such... Iunno. Just thought I'd bring it up to clarify, in case there were any misconceptions.
You could...

  • Have him arrive late to the meeting and be all indignant and catty about it.
  • You could have him emerge from a shadowy corner at the meeting and be outraged that Rodias didn't give him any orders.
  • You could have him go visit one of the other Chapter or Area Keeers at their domains.
  • You could have him go paw at Flan to give him food.
  • You could have him awaken in Zouyu's garden after a cat-nap.
  • You could have him inner monologuing about his greatness and owernship of the Chateau, while stewing in his own Chapter, all smug and cat-like.

Jst some iddas.
