Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic stories. I love fluff and whump in equal measure (well... maybe whump a lil more)
I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me if you like,
however I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Forward all complaints to @stone

Sando: Evening

Ah, Hawke had called him eager. Did he seem eager? It was true that Asante was very much looking forward to this job and taking on more responsibilities with the guild, but he wasn’t looking to betray his carefully crafted “shell,” the serious disposition he liked to put forward, regardless if most older Runners could already see through it easily.

"I heard," he confirmed with the other man with a nod, and despite himself Asante could barely fight the small smile growing on his face. Okay, he was a little eager.

His expression instantly changed back to neutral with the arrival of two - wait, three others. Two women, one human and one fae, as well as… That skavver. Really? It was hard to believe the guildmaster would assign the Zitan to this job, but who was he to question it. Asante had to grasp of hand language at all so he took to staring at the Zitan while Hawke handled the questions. Even as the woman, Karissa apparently, made some very suspect remarks Asante did little more than look at the people gathered. Look intensely. Glared at them, even. The young man crossed his arms and clamped his mouth shut tight should he let anything rude slip out. Didn’t want to make a mess of his first mission, after all. His displeasure was very clear on his face as he took stock of the group himself.

First, Hawke and Torvin - who’d just arrived with an armored man in tow. Asante completely trusted the veteran Runners, no issues there. The paladin he’d seen around a few times, never spoken to him but the man seemed capable. Next, Iyana. She was… confusing, but competent. Skahn, the Zitan, had been more or less actively avoided since Asante had first seen it - or, them - in the middle of his thoughts Asante scratched the back of his head and let out a single, hot puff of breath.

"I’ll ride alongside if it’s all the same," Asante said, choosing Team Boga. He did quite like the animals and he felt… not afraid of Skahn, who’d already been placed in the schooner, but... well, he didn’t really know how to process how he felt. Although Asante had steered clear of the Zitan as much as possible, he’d also kept an eye on them. They were nice, totally unlike the skavvers he was used to.

Lastly, the mage Karissa. She seemed to be close in age to him, and skilled with magic. Though despite her claim that she’d support them, she seemed to have some kind of issue with the Sunrunners at large, so could that claim really be trusted?

Asante thought on all of this as he went to move further into the stables, but he stopped short and thought it might be wise to introduce himself first.

"My name is Asante, by the way. Sunrunner," he punctuated the word with an intentional meeting of Karissa’s eyes before he moved on, feigning politeness, "looking forward to working with you all."

With that out of the way Asante picked out a shorter Boga with a brilliant purple mane of feathers. He gave the creature’s neck a quick and affectionate caress then began to saddle it up.

Still around by the by, will catch up in my next post

Compared to the previous night's meal, the freshly baked goods laid on the table before the group were practically heavenly. Not that Taras was one to complain about the quality of food, especially in this day and age... well, publicly complain. He was convinced whatever they'd left for them at the old barn barely qualified as bread. He'd eaten worse, but given the choice again he might have opted to chase down a rabbit or something instead.

"Another," the large man instructed, catching a server's eyes and gesturing to the pot of coffee. It was rapidly disappearing, but all the agents needed it after the scuffle in the woods. Now that they'd made it into town, Taras gladly ate his fill, ignoring the rest of the world outside the confines of their shared table. He ignored it, but wasn't unaware of it - even in broad daylight surrounded by fancy sights, sounds and smells, it would be dangerous and downright unprofessional not to take stock of the restaurant. It wasn't the only thing Taras was keeping an eye on either.

During their battle, three out of four agents' abilities were revealed. Yonaka, despite her devil may care attitude, had an incredibly powerful and versatile stand. Oscuro, small and fiesty, had a stand with a just as impressive ability. They were both a great deal larger than Taras' own stand, and better suited for battle too. Which left one among them who remained a mystery...

Lilliane - who somehow had procured a new coat from somewhere? - most definitely had a stand of some kind. It was only logical, given that the rest of them did. It was the reason they'd come together to investigate in the first place. While the women seemed to be getting along better overnight, Taras couldn't feel at ease when someone knew something about him and he couldn't say the same. To ask upfront would be embarrassing and weak-minded, but his heavy gaze wasn't at all subtle and likely betrayed his thoughts easily to those in the business of people watching.

Speaking of people watching, Taras turned his attention to the stage, though he snorted at Yonaka's comment about "Paree." He was really beginning to find her more humorous than annoying, but that was a thought for another time. For now, the music and dance. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen a show. It was kind of nice. Though the woman wasn't really his type.

"We should begin thinking about our next move," Taras eventually said to the group at large. What a buzzkill.
Sure! I gotta say you are all very quick, much faster pace than I am used to ^^;

Sando: Evening

It was looking to be a beautiful night.

There hadn't been a single cloud in the sky that day. It made for a blisteringly hot morning while the sun was overhead, but most days were like that. Still, as the day wore on and evening settled upon the city, the sky remained a cloudless canvas and soon enough the first twinkles of stars could be seen on the horizon. It was nice.

Asante was settled low on one of the cliff outcrops that bordered the entrance to the cavern city of Sando. The rocks jutting out above cast a cooling shadow over the area. Even though the sun was near gone, the heat wouldn't dissipate for a short while yet. The young man didn't mind the heat so much, but he still kept to the shade when possible. In fact, Asante had been in this exact shaded spot for most of the day. Earlier, after much poking and prodding of the Guildmaster, he'd been able to discover that some Runners would be assigned to take cargo that day: a large shipment that needed a schooner to haul. Well, wasn't that just the lucky break he'd been waiting for?

Though Asante had been living with the Sunrunners for a long time now, he'd yet to be officially endorsed by the guild. Until now, of course. He'd asked to be assigned to the mission and to his surprise he actually was.

"There won't be a better teacher to get firsthand experience from," the man had said, "first official mission, huh? Good luck, son."

The master's words had spread several feelings through Asante's body at the time, excitement being the primary one. He'd let a boyish grin grow on his face until the Guildmaster playfully laughed at him - then he'd run off to pack. He had the canvas bag he'd stuffed all his supplies into with him when he came out to the cliffs, and there he'd simply waited. The young Runner - yes, he was an actual Runner now after all this time - knew the group wouldn't be assembled for a few hours, but he was more than content to watch over the city's entrance while he waited. He could see the stables from his spot, a little distance away, and when it was time he'd go to meet them.

When he spotted two people that looked just a little more important than the usual guild member approach the stables, Asante figured that time was now.

He easily hopped down from his spot on the rocks, his bag slung over his back. He lingered just a moment longer in the shadow of Sando's entrance before he pulled a scarf over the top of his head and made his way toward the stables. The sun was low enough and his skin was dark enough that he wouldn't burn, but when the cold came he'd rather have the headwrap on now than struggle with it later. As he walked, the hard stone turning to loose sand, he tried to think what other Runners might have been assigned to the mission. There were plenty of people in the guild he'd come to like that he thought he might enjoy working with. Of course, there were an equal amount he would love to push off the edge of a cliff.

Might as well try to look on the bright side, he thought to himself, First official job and everything.

As Asante came up to the stables, his eyes sliding over the various transports - living and constructed alike - he walked directly over to the veteran Runner. He didn't know Hawke personally, but he did know he'd be one of the ones heading this mission.

"Evening," he greeted coolly, raising a hand. He'd known ahead of time about the job so he wasn't at all surprised to see that not many more had gathered.

Just the smell of hot coals under the iron grate was enough to jump start Zak's appetite, and when his stomach grumbled lightly Zak pulled his eyes away from where Galahad was talking with the Marshal and blinked down at it. Man, he couldn't wait to get some real food in him. Currently he had his feet kicked up on a now-empty cooler, still holding the neck of his first bottle of the trip between two fingers.

When he looked up again Galahad was already on his way back to them and the Marshal was... standing by, waiting for something. The red headed WARDEN's brows raised curiously. As the war continued, deserters were becoming more common, but the Barghest squad weren't deserters. That someone might think they were made Zak's skin feel prickly and put him in a bad mood. He'd leap right up to defend their honor if he had to.

"According to the Marshall there's a gryphon causing havoc around this sleepy little town. Anyone up for some big game hunting?"

Zak blinked again. Ah, well it was nice to hear he wouldn't have to risk being court-martialed. A Gyphon problem huh?

He looked over at the Marshal and gave the man a half-smile. Then Ray mentioned cooking them. His gaze slid over to the meat in the man's hands. So close to going on the grill. His stomach growled again.

"I'm in," Zak volunteered, raising his drink up in an imitation of a toast. Whether they ate before or after, not only was Ray right about availability, but it would probably help out the town. Place was on the verge of becoming a ghost town at this rate, probably gryphon problem or not. Still, they were WARDENs - shouldn't they help people now and then? A grin broke onto the young man's face and he stood up, stretching his neck. "Kind of lucky we stopped by then, huh?"

leaving New Bark Town

Relief flooded Flynn's body knowing that they weren't forgotten. Everyone's enthusiastic attitudes seeped out and effected Flynn, if only a little, and the red head let a smile form on their face. The expression became somewhat apologetic as Flynn turned their head to give Katalya their full attention. It had been a long time. Kat looked great - happy, perhaps a bit nervous, but that was her way. At least that was how Flynn remembered them, but the fact that Kat was even here as part of such a large traveling group was remarkable. She'd grown up, and Flynn deeply wished they'd been there alongside her.

"Kat," Flynn breathed out warmly in greeting. They could tell that the young woman in front of them wanted to reach out... but they were glad that she didn't. Getting back to their hometown and then meeting all their old friends again was enough to drive Flynn's inner emotions crazy, even if it didn't exactly show on their face. An embrace with Kat would have pushed Flynn over the edge, maybe even made them burst into happy tears. That would be embarrassing, not to mention unbecoming, so Flynn kept a slight distance between them. They hoped that their eyes showed how happy they truly were to meet again, though.

When Dante appeared beside Kat, Flynn's smile brightened even more, though his words briefly gave Flynn pause. That's right... we really did have a knack for finding trouble back then. I'd forgotten... and I had the nerve to even ask if they were the ones who forgot.

"Thank you. Thank you, everyone. It's... really nice to be back."

I'm a lot different now, though. I hope we won't be getting into too much trouble - or... maybe...? Flynn's thoughts trailed off. The whole of their group had grown up, everyone handsome and beautiful in their own ways, and now they were moving on, going on a journey. For Flynn, this kind of trip was more like... going back in time. Returning to something. Were they going to be stuck in the past? Or was going back a good thing? Flynn stood still, their face betraying none of the tangled thoughts in their brain - then, a chirp from below from Iris.

Flynn blinked and looked down, noticed Kat's Pokemon for the first time. It seemed eager to get going. A few other Pokemon had gone on ahead too, and the rest of the group was already getting a move on.

"Ah, you... we don't want to be left behind, right?" The Oddish at the trio's feet bounced up and down, staring between Kat, Dante and the Sneasel. Lately Iris had been a lot bolder than normal, and that was true now as well. Even with her torn up leaves, Iris looked positively radiant and ready to go. "We can catch up on the way, if you'd like. I know I would very much."

There were so many things Flynn wanted to know - how was Kat's mother doing? Tai? Barry's family shop? And Nao - she was gorgeous, but what happened to her arm? And those Flynn hadn't been as close with, what were they up to now? Zola looked well traveled, though she had looked like that even as a child too. Cho and Sam seemed fine enough, and the last member... one Flynn didn't recognize, but apparently had a vicious "Squegg" on a leash. Flynn eyed the Trapinch with suspicion and took a small step away from it before even starting to follow the rest of the group... then they realized that they had no idea where the group was actually going, but that was another thing they could find out while on the road. Honestly? The longer the journey, the better.
Around Phenac City

A Darumaka's little adventure through Phenac was hardly the strangest thing that had happened in the city in recent memory, not that the Pokemon would have any knowledge of the area's past - he was a tourist, after all. A very enthusiastic tourist. Bo's tiny legs carried him around the large fountain area about five times before he zipped off towards a nearby stair case. Climbing the steps took a little time, especially when it seemed that Bo made it a point to weave his way around every human and Pokemon in the area, stopping only for the briefest of moments to get a good look at them and chirp happily before continuing on. The sun bathed stone that paved Phenac was nice and hot, spurring the Pokemon onward as it investigated every little bit of the town.

Back on the lowest level of Phenac, the girl that proudly called herself Bo's trainer was just finishing up a late lunch. She'd picked up something or other from a small vendor and sat on a ledge nearby munching away at it. Now that she'd learned the city's layout and got herself fed, the next step was challenging the local gym - although, she should probably find her Pokemon first and get him fed too.

Zita hopped down from her perch and stretched lightly, raising her arms up and eventually transitioning to place her hand to her forehead, shielding her eyes from the bright sun. Bo was... there! ...no, that was a clay pot. Wait, there! ...nope, it was a kid's round and cute backpack. With a harumph, Zita scratched at the back of her neck.

"Who knew there were so many red circles around here," she mused to herself. Still, she wasn't worried about the Darumaka at all. He was probably just excited to be a new place. Just thinking about Bo's big eyes and goofy smile brought a grin to Zita's face and she started off, making her way back towards the city's center. He probably went up higher, she thought to herself, standing in the plaza with one hand loosely placed on her hip. He's got the right idea! But he's gonna be hungry as a Hippopotas as usual. I'll get him to give me a tour after I get some food in him!

"BO~!" Zita called loudly, startling a few poor passerbys with her sudden volume. For a few moments nothing changed in the area besides Zita earning herself a few strange looks, but eventually BO appeared - standing at the top of the staircase looking absolutely pleased with himself. The Darumaka pulled his arms and legs in close and rolled himself down the stairs and popping back into his usual shape once he hit the bottom. He waddled over to Zita quickly, and she met him halfway and scooped him up. His body was blazing hot, but he looked happy.

"Did ya find the gym?" She asked, and Bo practically vibrated with excitement in her hands. An affirmative answer, as it were. "Awesome, take me there as soon as we recharge your battery!"
