Since you brought up Raelis I should point out that his magic is not technically elemental as while FIRE would be an element, HEAT is not. So if we're gonna get technical, then Khazna shouldn't have been able to effect his magic at all, but I let it slide because I had no wish to have long drawn out arguments in which no one would change their mind.

Also, Raelis' magic is similar to Metz' earth pillar spell, in that the earth is natural, but the force the starts its movement is magical (and untouchable, if Skalla's earlier ruling is correct). So really the only thing Khazna should have been able to do would be stop Raelis' heat/light from being further manipulated till he reconnected with the heat/light with his energy.

But hey, it doesn't matter. While for the tournament that fight is counted as Greivous' win, I already know that it really wasn't one on his/her end (Not sure if you're a guy or a girl Greivous) due to the fact that my last post was basically a measure I had prepared in response to Khazna's seeming ability to predict almost anything and stop almost any magic with faaaar too much ease. That post can be summed up as "If you cut the threads, you're screwed, if you don't cut the threads, you're still screwed."

Oh yeah and @GreivousKhan if you think that magic doesn't have any defining principles and can work very differently depending on what form of magic it is, and if you think that should be irrelevant to Khazna's thread cutting ability, then you need to SERIOUSLY rethink that ability. As Melon said, the more broad/general that ability is, the more OP is, and even as it is now it's OP.

<Snipped quote by Rilla>
Well, I think Skallagrim accepted it under the pretence of it being limited in what it could affect to straight up attacks made of magic, which are only one type of magic and wouldn't inherently screw everyone over. The power is only as OP as it is because it's matched with a super-speed character with the metal equivalent of lightsabers. His character can move his arms so fast he's basically got a simple answer to all forms of attack. He could of literally ran circles around Metz and cut him to pieces, which is why I found the fact that he walked into Metz circle hilarious, because it was his only real chance of defeating him and it was such a longshot that I went into the fight resigned to having no real chance.

I mean really, this match-up is practically Sigurd vs Necroloth (probably spelled wrong) all over again. Except rather than having multiple arms Khazna just moves the ones he has really fast, and makes extra swords appear out of magical robots.

Also this, all of this! Raelis was massively disadvantaged that whole fight despite what anyone says, but because I am used to fighting ridiculous things, I managed to build up enough things to make it turn in his favor. Then I got ruled the loser even though the fight was neutral. If anything that should have been a tie and then I should have won due to writing quality and the fact that Raelis was disadvantaged, but was still able to match his opponent repeatedly, nullifying every assault and managing to keep coming up with new ways to try and harm his opponent.

That on top of my last post in the fight basically being something that Khazna, by all rights, shouldn't have been able to counter/nullify. But meh, I take solace in Greivous admitting he/she was saved by the bell, rather than having outright won.

Also, MelonHead it's "pretense," not "pretence," ;)

Monolith Graveyard

Player Limit: N/A.
Description: An ancient place, the Monolith Graveyard contains massive metallic structures composed of many metals such as iron, steel, copper, gold, and silver. There are a total of 500 Monoliths which are evenly spaced from one another. All Monoliths are 33 meters apart and stand at a height of 80 meters, making them truly impressive structures. The humming noise released by the Monoliths may have a variety of effects, but these effects depend on the combatants present as well as their intentions and alignment. The Monoliths tend to favor whomever is the weakest or most disadvantaged and will play to their strengths, attempting to even out the match-up through field advantage. In most cases of evenly matched opponents, the Monoliths' merely hum, and the sound produces no effect other than focusing the abilities and minds of those present to a minor degree.

The Graveyard is called as such due to a new Monolith appearing for every combatant who falls through contest within their bounds. The Monoliths are spread out in 250 rows and 250 columns. Each column is 3 meters from one side to the other, As a result the Graveyard is utterly massive and gains size for every fallen combatant. Currently it is 9000x9000 meters.

Adversaries always start 60 meters away from one another. While the pillars are not indestructible, the materials that make them up attract one another and so will return to their base form and levitate to their normal location when not manipulated by other energies. The ground of the arena is mostly level and is composed of reinforced stone. The floor conducts vibrations fairly well.

Unique Traits: The Monoliths constantly emit a faint humming noise. As the intensity of events around them raises so does the volume of the deep hum. Once the both combatants have unveiled their true power or the fight has reached a level of great intensity the monoliths begin to levitate above the rock formations that typically hold them down. The structures will move slowly from platform to platform.
Ah, my fault on that account. Remind me of Ryuku's height (although I am certain she is shorter unless he's a small person lol).
Kaiu IouchiryoKurohasu
Approach

Unsurprised that he had noticed her, the kunoichi continued her approach even as he rose to his feet upon the glass platform to face her. His swift response to her meant he had likely detected her somehow and his words revealed to her interesting things about his attitude, though nothing damning or terribly complex. He had been challenged before, she knew this by his words, his tone, and the way he held himself. He was confident, surely. She shifted her grip on the wakizashi, holding it so the blade's tip pointed backwards, its flat aligned with her arm. "Perhaps," she replied flatly before she drew three kunai in a split second and threw them from the hip with a flick of her wrist. They traveled so that one would graze his side and the other two would strike him if not blocked or dodged. She increased her walking speed, intending to close the distance.

She would need to see if his confidence was justified.
Taraatsu, Akine - The Soul Thief
The Cornered Beast

Then the unexpected happened, his location was drastically altered. As he came face to face with a multitude of blades, his eyes widened and his smile evened out somewhat. His blade came up, spirits released from its form, shooting out as they did so. He twisted his body, avoiding a ring or two, and a tanto, but he couldn't dodge them all. Some his spirits managed to intercept and knock of course, but a great amount of them sliced him as they flew by or impaled him. one or two passed through his body in his ribcage, slipping through his lung and causing a tremendous amount of pain to blossom.

It seemed that his recklessness had earned him a great many wounds, some of them which would easily become fatal.

He landed, collapsing to a knee and coughing up blood in the process. Spirits whirled and danced around him, batting away any further projectile attacks. He was managing them almost subconsciously. It was too bad he hadn't been able to predict their initial approach. He opened his mouth to talk, but as his lung moved, the tanto in it cut more, causing him to cough up more blood, not to mention the searing pain that the action caused. He channeled sound and chakra into one of his spirits, willing it to speak in his stead. "Well, isn't this funny," the spirit said. Akine's face was contorted in something between a grimace and a smile. He noticed he couldn't feel his left arm. It was still there, he noted with the eyes of a spirit, just...his body was blocking out sensation. "Going around all this time. Pain and suffering forming in my wake and at my arrival, and now here I sit, bleeding and about to die. It's ironic. No...no it's fitting, if I cared about that sort of moronic crap," he spat on the ground and felt his body shudder at the motion.

He raised his one uninjured arm and grabbed the tanto in his chest then yanked it out. He collapsed and threw up promptly afterwards. He wiped the bile and blood from his mouth and withdrew some pain pills, popping them back. They hit his stomach and immediately he felt the pain began to recede. He began pulling more blades out of his body. He didn't throw up this time though and all the while he kept his eyes on Chiyoko. His spirits were imbued with chakra by now, some having passed through him to gain it, others having passed through each other to take portions that the others had gained.
Timore Scarborough
Prey Afoot

Detecting her as she evaded, her movement taking her below the forest canopy, Timore's blade continued downwards back towards him. With a flick of his wrist he allowed entered the blade into a spin end over end and then he swung his arm diagonally downwards. The blade spun between trees, the line of energy getting caught and tied as he continued to alter the weapon's trajectory. Then he noted her weaving essence and he grinned, crouching in an instant, and placing his foot on the string of energy, connecting it. He turned and dashed at the tree he'd sent essence into and ran right up it, using the essence in it to allow him to adhere to its surface, and using the essence around him to amplify his physical strength and speed somewhat. IT wasn't something he could keep up, but it was useful in short bursts. In this way he ran up the tree trunk to the first set of branches, spun and intentionally slipped back and downwards, fingers splayed and new energy wires formed as the eagle flew at him. If it had followed him, the eagle would narrowly miss as his body slipped behind the tree, finding itself flying either around the tree, or through the V shaped divergence of branches.

As he had slipped backwards he'd flung his arms out, sending wires of energy outwards, their strength all amplified by his continued humming.

He adhered himself to the tree once more, a hand and his feet "stuck," to its surface so long as he did so. He could maintain that much better than he could running up it. It was the movement and physical amplification that was difficult on him.

Metentis slithered around his arm, downwards, its head and neck nestling into his hand and hardening. He brought the weapon up with his free hand, ready to use it. Threads of energy were weaved around it, and energy was channeled through it as it had been since he'd started humming. The glow in the fragment's eyes had brightened to a fierce glow and Timore's eyes glowed more noticeably. His tongue continued clicking and his humming shifted slightly, weaving patterns in the essence surrounding him.

He figured the eagle would be circling back around, and he'd be ready when it did.
I'm done with work after today. So I am likely to respond tomorrow after I sleep most of my day away (3 consecutive 10 hour night shifts, then riding bike home at around 12 or 12:30). THEN I'll be able to respond more than once a day! ^_^
