Bio

1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

Next to Conner in the Cabin 5 group stood a young woman with loosely waved red hair pulled up in a casual ponytail. With a large, broad frame adorned with equal parts fat and muscle, she wouldn't look too out of place wrestling a bear. She seemed to pay more attention to the two men with plant essences.

"Uhh, hah," the woman drawled, shifting a little uncomfortably as her turn came. "Ah'm Natalie Jackson, but most folks call me NatJack. Ah live in Mississipi, but ah have an aunt around here so it wasn't too hard ta get here. Uh... Ah think Ah have a soybean essence? Well, Ah had the wahld dream lahk they say the essenced folks do, an' Ah ain't never had any'a that soy stuff before, so whah would mah brain think'a that on its own? But Ah don't know what mah powers are yet."

NatJack took a breath like she was about to add something else, but a hesitant expression came to her face and she paused for a couple seconds before continuing.

"Ah love grillin' and fishin', and ah've won a couple competitions. For fishin', at least."

@LostButterfly92 @LuckyBlackCat

"Hello, everyone," a 40-something woman in the Cabin 2 group said with a dreamy wave. The chunky bracelets on her wrists clinked lightly as she continued gesturing throughout her introduction.

"I'm Dolly. It's so nice to meet you all. I live near Orlando. I have been blessed with the iris essence."

Dolly gestured to a delicate yellow flower in her hair. She pulled back some smooth black strands to show that the flower appeared to be rooted to her scalp.

"I can plant temporary flowers on other people, too. Would anyone like one?"

"Me! Me! I want one!" Destiny cried eagerly, jumping with enthusiasm and clenched fists in anticipation. Fauna chuckled and put her hand on the girl's shoulder to calm her down. "That sounds lovely, dear, but do remember to use your indoor voice and say 'please'," she reminded her daughter quietly, with a smile and a pat. Destiny stopped jumping and raised her hand instead. "Please! Please choose me!" The girl begged, quieter now, but still beaming with excitement.

"Alright," Dolly chuckled. "You may go first, since you asked so politely. Though there's plenty to go around." At this, she glanced toward Mara for a moment before returning her attention to Destiny. "This might itch for just a bit..."

Dolly parted the young girl's hair and touched her scalp near the back of her ear. As advertised, Destiny would feel an itching sensation for a few seconds, almost like ant or mosquito bites. Then, a thin stem emerged and quickly bloomed into a beautiful purple flower. The medium-sized accessory for Dolly looked comically, but cutely, big on a small child.

"Purple stands for wisdom," Dolly addressed Destiny. "You must be pretty wise for your age!"

"I am! I have the best grades in my class," Destiny boasted with a proud grin on her face and her hands on her hips. People in the crowd stared and gasped in awe. Even Abagail raised a brow and looked the girl's way.

"How do I look, Momma?" Destiny asked, scratching a bit at the roots that now covered her head. "You look beautiful, dear. Like a fairytale princess!" Fauna answered enthusiastically.

"Ooh! Thank you, mom. And thank you, miss Dolly!" Destiny said with a grateful curtsey, smile, and bob of her flower before returning to her mother's side.

"You're very welcome," Dolly responded. "It should last for about eight hours. Then it will wilt and fall off painlessly on its own."

Dolly shrugged with a wistful smile.

"It's not a 'save the world' sort of power, but it's a nice opportunity to add a little more beauty to the world."

"Oh dear... I've hogged the spotlight, haven't I? I'll make my fun fact quick. I'm a vegan and an advocate for animal rights. But not like PETA or anything, they're terrible."
I might be up for an aro/ace Virgo who is wondering why he/she is seemingly on a dating show
Heyyyyy just popping in again. We've lost some players and are open for more! It's a convenient time to jump in.
Corrie Strickman

Winter Carnival, Sports Booths

Corrie stood frozen in shock for much of Zaina's speech. The owl's first movement came when the hyena tossed her the ball, at which point Corrie flinched away and let the ball fall in the slush at her feet. After that, the owl blinked and seemed to snap out of it. Could... could this herculean hyena really be on her side?

Well, either way, everyone was staring at her now. Corrie picked up the ball and closed her eyes, attempting to take a deep breath. She honed her mind to focus on the zonkey... wait, no, her broth-- her ARM, yes, focus on the throwing technique. Corrie hastily let the ball fly. It plunked off a can, which wobbled for half a second and then stayed upright.

The zonkey allowed the smallest smug toothy grin while Corrie straightened up her posture and her face, determined not to show any emotion. The owl approached the zedonk and the hyena.

"Well, I suppose that is th-that," Corrie addressed the zedonk in a quiet voice, staring down the mammal's neck rather than dare to meet her eyes. "We may now exit each other's lives as swiftly as w-we entered... none the lesser for one fewer amicable contact, at least on my part."

Finished with her sick burn, Corrie shifted her gaze to the hyena's neck. She experienced dueling feelings of gratitude for being rescued and bitter shame for needing to be rescued.

"This may be a sizeable ask for someone who has already lent significant aid," Corrie began, "But I may require your particular skillset for a moment longer. Would it terribly inconvenience you to escort me a short distance away? We may discuss some form of remuneration, if you so desire."

Corrie felt satisfied by her intellectual translation of "I am still freaking scared, please help me big strong lady, I'll pay you."

@Argetlam350
@Dark Cloud Are there any kind of school clubs Felix might be interested in? Several of the characters are currently looking at booths they're interested in. The animals at the booth are typically played as minor NPC's by the player at them

@Argetlam350 I know it's my turn, thanks for waiting patiently. I pledge to post by Friday night at the latest.
Also, technically all calico cats are female.

But this is a world where humanoid whales walk to their humanoid hummingbird boss's house, so a mutated male calico is probably possible, haha. Or he could be a trans man.

EDIT: Oh, I checked to make sure I was right, and apparently a calico can be born a male. They have to have XXY, Klinefelter Syndrome.
Ty Westgrove

Vareena Town

The trainers' and gym leader's actions in the aftermath of the battle gave Ty enough time to catch up just as they were leaving to go to the gym. It looked like something went down, but it seemed to be all over, at least for the moment.

"I'm here?" Ty announced, sounding more confused than heroic. "Uh... jeez, what happened? Is he okay? Are we okay? Who is this?"

The punk trainer approached the unconscious stranger and sent out his Igglybuff, who immediately got the picture. Medic didn't have the power to even detect that something was wrong with Rheese's mind, much less heal it. She saw Rheese's burn as she checked him over, though, and started using Heal Pulse to do what she could for that.

"Should we call somebody?" Ty continued his flurry of questions to anyone who may answer, already pulling his C-Gear out. "Also hi," he offhandedly addressed the pink-haired stranger.
We had a rafflesia-blessed character in Cabin 7, but she left the RP
@Kale19 Yes, that one might be a bit stinky though.
Alrighty, big post just dropped. And with it will come some OOC explanation.

1. IC, your character's cabin number was assigned when you bought your ticket. Families could be grouped into the same cabin, but other than that it was randomly assigned. OOC, your cabin number is not assigned. You can choose which one you want, or you can decide randomly.

2. As the post implies, most of the schedule gives each attendee a choice between a "conference" activity and a "fun" activity, with the possibility of choosing neither and having free time. If you attend the conference activity, you are more likely to learn about lore and politics, and possibly have some sway in those matters. If you attend the fun activity, you are more likely to make closer connections and, well, have fun.

I have some ideas for activities, but I could certainly use some help brainstorming. Also, if there's something anyone really wants to do, I'd like to give them a chance to do it. So, please share any ideas you have for conference or fun activities. You can tell me through OOC chat, Discord, or PM.

3. I'm adding a rule about gaining new powers. If your character has a certain power upon character creation, you may increase or decrease the strength of that power at any time, within reason. If you want your character to gain a whole new power that wasn't mentioned at creation, you must put your idea in OOC chat or PM me for approval. You must also post three more times after approval before you can use that power. This is to prevent situations where a player magically creates a new power to get out of any random situation. (Now, if a character does that on occasion, it could be BADASS. I just don't want it to come cheap.) If you have ideas now for way into the future, you can mention them now. That way, your three posts after approval will be done long before you actually want to start gaining that power.

On that note, @GreysonEA, I am reinstating your original plan for calming powers with debuffs, should you choose to accept. If Alonzo remains within five feet of someone for five minutes, his calming aura can soothe their anger and de-escalate conflicts. There is always a possibility for particularly furious or strong-willed PC's and NPC's to negate some of this effect.
