I'm definitely looking forward to how our characters interact. I imagine Pam's going to try and manipulate Cato to do things he doesn't want to do, whilst he really just wants to keep Calvin safe.

Yeah, that should be interesting. Calvin is a little oblivious (driving into an area where people are shooting a mutant and crashing into said mutant, for instance) but he isn't stupid enough not to see manipulation if/when it happens. He's also a kid, which means he can't really be manipulated by Pam's sexuality. It should be an interesting dynamic.

Calvin is looking for his "family Jeep," so he'll probably bring that up to Cato at some point, but he wouldn't (or could even, for that matter) force him to go along with that. It's not like Calvin's sense of direction is good enough to know where he's going anyway :-P

In any case, I'm waiting for @RumikoOhara to post and then I can write a response to that.

In the mountains of Colarado..Oh and I graduated in 06 so the internet in general in that area sucked; it was all landline

I am troubled by this portion because I don't remember Pam moving away from the danger; moving in stealth is cautious and could be called skulking. Also knowing she wasn't planning on helping, Pam hasn't said anything to lead to that conclusion or done anything to display that intention

Not trying to be a pain about it

@Karos I interpreted it as Cato thought Pam wasn't going to help because of her fake hesitance, because of the way she was acting at that time, or because like Calvin said it wasn't odd to wonder what she was doing. Not a big deal, but I thought it'd be worth noting.
We had certain websites blocked on our school computers, but I mostly read articles online, so they mostly never censored the websites I visited. I also had a numerical link (or whatever the proper term is called) for the game Avalanche so I could play that whenever I wanted.

On the subject of the RP, I'm enjoying it so far. I'm glad I made Calvin a kid, he's been a fun character to roleplay as.
Before Cato addressed Pam, Calvin addressed the man. “Sure, that sounds cool,” he happily said. He was going to add more, but Cato had asked the woman a question, so Calvin wasn’t going to interrupt right now. He didn’t know his new travel companion very well, but the fact that he was between the kid and a potential (if unlikely) aggressor was a good sign. Maybe this guy would want to help him find the family Jeep? Maybe Calvin should learn this guy’s name before asking him to commit to something big like that though. First things first.

Listening to the woman’s response, the boy couldn’t help but feel like something was off. He didn’t feel like he was in any danger (although that could’ve been because someone else was in front of him), but Calvin thought that something was strange about this lady.

Even so, he didn’t want to potentially leave someone alone to their death. Instead, he inserted himself into the conversation, saying “lady, I almost got stabbed once ‘cause I offered to fix someone’s truck, so it’s not that odd. Still, my new acquaintance can decide if you come with us or not.”

Looking at Cato, Calvin asked “what do you think?”
@McHaggis this looks like it could be a fun RP! Add my name to the list of people interested as well.
Calvin looked back at the car; he had hoped the weird creature would be dead, but the kid wasn’t that fortunate. He then looked at some woman who was yelling and then at another man who seemed to be coming towards him. The boy could tell from the rifle on his back that this man had been one of the people shooting and that he stopped, so it was probably safer to be near a person who didn’t kill indiscriminately than the woman who wanted to shoot more.

After running away from the wreckage of his car to hide behind Cato, Calvin spoke to the man. “Thanks for not shooting, mister. I can’t fight much, but I could clean your rifle or something after this?” The boy then took his electric drill out of his toolbox just in case. He didn’t think the mutant would get this close, but just in case it did, Calvin would be ready. That or he’d just run away. Both were good options.

Then glancing at Pam, he asked Cato in a whisper “that girl’s walking kinda weird, don’t you think?”
@scifidude47 I made my introductory post a little vague towards the end in case you needed the mutant alive for anything.

It should be interesting to see how the roleplay develops!
(I'm typing this on my phone, apologies for any mistakes.)

Calvin was proud of his newest fixed-up ride. Sure, it had no roof or front doors and the floor was made out of some old wooden boards he found, but it ran! The people he was with said he was crazy for wanting to fix a 1995 Ford Taurus. Well, they were crazy for wanting to go back for more supplies without a car! It's not like they could carry even a tenth of the stuff the Taurus could.

Assuming he could find anything, of course. That's why he was flooring it. Nothing at all to do with wanting to see how fast the car went. So far 80 MPH seemed to be the point where the engine started making weird noises. Not bad. Maybe he could...

Suddenly, Calvin realized he was about to crash! There was some kind of mutant creature ahead, and were those bullet noises?

No time to think about it. There wasn't enough time to turn and dodge the thing, so the kid simply jumped out of the Taurus and let the car crash into the mutant. With any luck, it would kill the creature and Calvin could decide what to do next from there.

With all eyes on Calvin after the crash, he simple asked "what?" as if nothing important had happened. The car was totaled, but he could just always build another one, right?
@scifidude47 I have made the CS, everything except the strange behavior (which I cannot think of right now because I am tired) is on there. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.

@scifidude47 Sounds good, he's 12, so that comes with it's own weaknesses by default. It should be fun to roleplay once I have the CS done.
