Wrath side stepped another slash, bringing his own blade around in a deadly horizontal slash in an attempt to put an end to this fight. He was sporting dozens of new slashes and cuts all over his body, but that was far from the source of his exhaustion. No, what was making his blows slower and lighter was the fatigue. He wasn't sure how much longer he could go for at the rate he and the false Gomory were going, when suddenly it vanished, allowing the Nephilim to exhale in relief. His relief, however, was short lived, as he looked up in time to see what looked like a human slamming a sword into the pile of stones.
"No!" Wrath managed to stand and start to lunge forward when the holy energy exploded outwards, blasting the Nephilim back onto his back and sending him sliding a couple of feet back.
"So done with today..." Picking himself up, he watched as first Gomory disappeared, then the man who had destroyed the second seal. Before Wrath could really seek to get some answers, a boulder landed near him and had him up and moving. He spotted the portal user from before, laying on the ground looking beat to hell and scooped him up as he ran, going back out the tunnel he'd come in.
"Come on you old fool, you aren't dying here."Through the tunnels the Nephilim ran, trying to stay ahead of the crumbling ceiling behind him. It was close, he'd felt rocks and pebbles hit his head, neck and back several times, but he didn't slow down until he was in a newer part of the tunnels and running up the stairs of a subway station. Once he was sure he'd cleared the danger zone, he slowed and then stopped, panting, and laid the old man down against a wall. Looking back towards where the Cairn had been, he turns and slams his fist into a wall, breaking it partially.
"Well fuck. Uriel's going to be pissed."
