Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

@Jabber

If our characters become approved after the PM process, should we post them in the Char tab, or will you be posting the list of approved characters?
@SigilBy my count, Kafka's Yuri, Sho's Sigurd, and Fox's Etzo were all in the building along with Cricket. I think Gowi's Sibela was heading towards it, but Bai Suzhen's Dia and Jester's Nadijah were at the Gerudo fortress instead fighting the Moblins.

GM said Oasis was just a stone's throw from the Pillar where the Knight was taken by Rath and the other Shiekah, but I don't know if it's also close to the Fortress or not. It would actually probably be more convenient if the Gerudo Fortress was on the way or inbetween the Pillar and Oasis, so that Rath's group and the Knight could come upon the battle just as the others from the HQ are entering it as well.
@Korkoa Replied, but forgot to put the mention in and I don't think it works if you edit it in afterwards. Hope Damar's not too long winded for ya.
Damar

Coruscant - Processional Way
Seeking Guidance

Damar stopped as he was greeted by another knight, who wanted to know his opinion not necessarily on the issues at hand, but on Revan and Alek as Jedi, and where their true intentions lay. Damar nodded and greeted the man with a smile.

"Yes, I am Damar Maadik. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Knight Zale." He looked towards Revan and Alek where they stood, still giving speeches and answering questions or debaters from within the crowd. He put one hand on his chin, and paused a moment before he spoke.

"I wouldn't say the Council plans to do nothing...Currently, I believe their plan is to wait and see. I believe they have some foreknowledge of what is to come...but for some reason they've deigned not to share it with the rest of us. I personally don't agree with their methods, but I respect that they are more capable and wiser than the rest of us. I would be willing to follow their orders if not for Alek's zeal and...my own shortcomings." He sighed. "But, nonetheless, you asked about whether Revan and Alek's hearts are in the right place. Currently...I am not sure." He turned back to the other knight, who seemed to be--at least part--Balosaurian, due to his antennae. "They speak eloquently and with conviction, but I am unsure whether they mean to achieve justice and peace by pushing back an otherwise unreasonable enemy...or if they want revenge for their Jedi brothers and sisters who have fallen. Or even--and this is only my own assumptions, mind, based on what I have heard them speak of--even perhaps, they might seek glory among the ranks of the Republic fleets." He shook his head.

"I don't believe that the Jedi Order should become an engine of war, soldiers on the battlefield meant to meet the Mandalorians head on. But I do believe that there is something more we should do, something more we should learn, for this conflict. That is originally why I intended to head to the front lines myself, to not only assist where I can--not on the battlefield, unless need-be--but to learn more of what is going on, to see it with my own eyes before I make a decision. That is my shortcoming, I am afraid; I'm too curious for my own good." He smiled ruefully.

"As for whether or not there is another way...I would say most certainly so. In the case of Taris, which has already been ravaged by battle, it may be possible to wait out the Mandalorian occupation or infiltrate it to give aid to those left in the wake of battle. Medicine, food, other supplies, and effort that will surely be needed to rebuild what has been destroyed. One could also help other planets better prepare themselves, or attempt to act as a mediator...but from what little I know of Mandalorian culture, I do not think they could be reasoned with. I think that, given their lust for battle not for the sake of destruction, but merely for the glory of it, the only way they could be dissuaded from attacking a world would be to present defenses too impregnable, or capabilities too great, to take such a world without the destruction of a majority of their own forces. Hopefully they are not so battle crazed as to cast themselves into a self-destructive battle on purpose." He once again glanced towards Revan and Alek. It seemed that it would not be long now until their speeches were over and their band of like minded followers would be solidified.

"I myself will follow Revan and Alek, not to join their cause wholeheartedly, but in the hopes of doing what I can to guide and restrain the impulses of those whose hearts might be overcome with emotion. I am sure you have felt it too, rippling in the force...some of them feel a great compassion for their brethren and the peoples who have been devastated by this war. They want to help, so badly. But that same passion may very well overwhelm them." He sighed again. "Such is the start to the creeping influence of the Dark Side."
After the training session, should I have the ship arrive?

That would probably be for the best, as we've kind of run out of things to say and it seems like it's slowed down a lot. Everyone's either made the decision to follow Revan's group or is about to do so, so I personally think there's not much point in waiting any longer.

Should I wait a bit longer before having the Knight wake up? It seems like it's been kind of slow lately, although that could just be because of site maintenance issues.
Just throwing it out there, but would anyone be interested in a premise like this one:

Setting would be several decades into the future where little to no canon characters exist. Its a world where the justice had lost. Piracy was victorious and pirates simply roamed the seas doing as they pleased. You'll be RPing as recruits in the new marines. Unlike the old one, this organization is sponsored by individuals who wannt to restore peace to the seas. Their ranks would be made up of former marines, bounty hunters, ex-pirates and the like.

Any takers?

Honestly the entire point of a One Piece RP seems to be going on adventures like the Straw Hats do and pursuing all the different goals--find One Piece, find All Blue, become the strongest swordsman, etc--so removing the whole "do what you want cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate!" aspect of it would kind of defeat the purpose in my opinion. Unless these new marines have undergone vast reforms and aren't as Knight Templar as they are in the canon, being Pirates would probably suit the story much better.

As for whether it should be set in the future of canon or an AU, my vote goes to an AU where the canon characters have simply all been replaced by either player characters or NPCs of some sort. This would allow the GM to create their own Seven Warlords, Four Kings, so on and so forth. It would, however, be more work for the GM. Again, this is where communication with players can come in handy--you could potentially offer players that you think would do a good job of it the task of designing such important setting NPCs, as long as they don't end up doing things like "I call dibs on making a Four Kings character!" and try to use that as their MAIN player character. It'd be a balancing act to make sure people don't powerplay or intentionally bring the fleet of a warlord down on some first timer pirates just for funsies and to make themselves look "so extra special badass and cool."
Can't say whether or not I'm interested yet, as I don't know for sure if I'll have time for another RP, but I feel like I could offer some advice.

What seems to get most fans of One Piece to stick around are three primary things--the fights are probably the biggest one, followed by the sense of exploration, and then the characters. To make interesting fights, you have to have interesting villains. And when I say interesting, I don't just mean their powersets and fighting style, although that's also a big part of it. A good villain has to have impact and importance. Impact means that their actions affect the world around them, and importance is relative to the good guys. A mad scientist you've never met, who wants to take over the world, may not be as "important" as the petty mobster who forced a character's father/best friend/lover to go into debt and now threatens them when they don't have the money. You have to have a villain who can put up a fight, but they also have to be a villain that the characters REALLY want to fight in the first place. If they are recurrent villains, however, you have to consistently make them threatening so they don't end up like Team Rocket.

To establish a sense of exploration is hard in an RP format, I've found. One Piece has a lot of islands you can build on, and you can always put a lot of work into describing an environment or use nice pictures to get some visual aid going, but it's hard to synthesize player goals with "a place" as opposed to a "person or thing." In other words, the players are most likely going to be on an island to fight somebody, get a special item, or do something mundane like stock up on supplies. If you can come up with ways to make those goals tie into the environment you want them to explore, it'll probably be easier--for instance, to fight someone, maybe they have to find the hideout that's hidden in the vast jungle. Same thing with the item, maybe it's sealed inside an ancient temple. Even the gathering of supplies--maybe one of the characters is like Luffy, a huge glutton, and they hear about this island that has these specially raised cattle that make the most succulent steaks on the high seas. Then they find out that these steaks are insanely expensive, and the only way they might be able to get one is if they help the local cattle farmer drive off some rustler bandits.

Basically, turn "exploring the environment" into an adventure in itself.

Finally, the characters. This will heavily depend on your players themselves and their skills as writers. But, one thing you can do to help is communicate with them regularly, and often. Especially in this case--Character Arcs. One Piece has an Arc for each and every one of its primary crew characters that also serve to establish bits and pieces of the overall story. If you encourage and talk to your players about their backstories, their character's personal beliefs and likes and dislikes, you might be able to help them come up with ideas for their own arcs, which you would then execute alongside them, or you could create an arc based around them by yourself and just ask them if they're cool with you creating events/villains/NPCs that are related to them in some way. The only problem with this is that, in an RP, everyone wants to share the spotlight equally. So you'd either have to come up with a set order that everyone agrees with--"Okay, we'll do Bob's arc first, then Jane's, then Jim's, then Sally's"-- or else you'll end up with multiple arcs running concurrently, which is very hard to handle both from a GM and player perspective.

As for your question about an NPC captain or a PC one, keep in mind two things about Luffy as the captain of his own crew--on the one hand, he doesn't really do "captainy" things most of the time. On the other hand, he's ALWAYS the one who solves the primary problem. Like any main character in any story, it falls to him to handle the biggest threat while everyone else has their own opponents--which is another thing I should have discussed in the villain section. When you make a villain, make sure to give them plenty of lackeys so everyone can have their own 1-on-1 fair fight instead of a gangbang chaotic mess of everyone attacking one villain at once. But anyway, whether or not the captain is an NPC or a PC should address those things. Remember, in an RP everyone shares the "main character" slot. So your captain can't be the one to resolve all the problems. At the same time, the captain is the one that runs the ship. You'll need to decide "to what degree or standard does he hold order on his/her ship?" And depending on those factors you might find it easier to decide if it should be an NPC, a PC, or even a character made by another player instead of the GM.

Hope this helps and wasn't too long winded.
They've already noticed, you'll find that when I post about them they've been watching since the Knight emerged from the Temple and have simply been observing him.

Alright, he's out now.

Castle Town

The Temple of Time
The Knight Falls

Watching the Knight move was like watching a series of still pictures be flipped, page after page. The ReDead's screams came one after the other, keeping him frozen in place while their fists beat against his armor and their claws scrabbled at his helmet and chest, trying to rip the armor from him. Little did they know, the Dark World had changed the body inside along with the armor--for some reason none could yet see, the two refused to be parted. Even the visor upon the Knight's face, hiding whatever corrupted visage he had received, would not open.

Finally he jerked free of their spells, and brought his sword down in a mighty swing to split yet another corpse in half from head to groin. He swung at another, but the next series of screams stopped him before he could follow through. Still the blade bit deep enough into his next target to kill it, cleaving its side open and exposing the black, rotten pile of guts within. When he broke free once more, he let go of the sword with one hand and spun, slashing with both claw and blade in a whirlwind of death. Two more ReDead fell, and more only piled on. One dragged him down to one knee under its weight, hanging around his neck like a lover attempting a kiss. He drove his spiked helm into its face, smashing it into the ground, as his free hand caught himself before he could fall all the way to the ground and the sword lashed out again, cutting the legs out from under another adversary. Again the screams paralyzed him and they began to jump onto his back one after the other, attempting to crush and smother him under a dog pile.

The red light behind his visor grew brighter, the aura he emitted more wild, as his rage simmered hotter and hotter.

"URRAAAAAAARRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAGHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" He pushed against the ground with both fist and sword, his legs shaking under the strain.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! AH, AH, RUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" He shook them loose, a dog shaking away the rain, then chopped through them one after the next, caught them in a vice grip and shook them til their throats were crushed, kicked and stomped them until their skulls were smashed like ancient pottery. In a frenzy unlike anything even these dark, murderous creatures had ever seen in their time serving the Dark King, this Knight tossed them aside, smashed through them, and tore them apart.

Soon the soil turned to mud under the black bile spread across the long-dead grass, and the Knight's armor too was covered in stinking, rotten filth. He headed for the stairs, the sword slung over his shoulder in a loose grip. He still walked with a loose, predatory gait, but now there was fatigue there too as he left the horde of corpses behind. He stumbled, then righted himself. He lost his balance, and had to lean against a tree. Then he took his first step down the staircase. The light behind his visor began to flicker. He fell.

Seven years of fighting. Seven years of fighting to take one step forward, one single inch of ground, at a time. Now, he had made it back to the Light. He...had...made...it...back...

The red light went out, and the Knight lay still, sword still clutched in his clawed grasp...
