Shu let out a giggle at Takeshi’s claims as if incapable of denying them himself, finding them all too amusing in a number of ways. “I can’t act like not-myself! That’s really hard because I’m always myself”, he nodded, giving him a little smile, “Yes yes, I am myself. Maybe goof to you! But Shu to me!” It’s nice that he could admit that he is who he is and not have to hide it away, even if it did annoy Takeshi. It wasn’t his fault that he was happy that his friend was getting better and finding treatment. Maybe he would find more control as time went on too so that made him happy. Takeshi on the other hand still didn’t have that much control over certain aspects of him and even when pointed out Takeshi’s reaction still made Shu giggle. He did say the wrong things sometimes and laughing like that would prompt a hit in the leg from the doctor, even if Takeshi claimed he was innocent. “Ooh! Well, you no be nice sometimes so maybe that”, he smiled, scooting a little closer to him while still on the floor, “You should try be nice sometime then she be nice, yes? I’m nice! Maybe be more like me!” T’charrl was missing his parents a lot and hoped he could hold it together long enough for him to have some quality time with them, even if it meant he was going to be hidden away from the public for that time despite their desire to see him as well. He was happy enough letting his friends hang out with him and his parents but not random members of the public, especially when he had no idea how long he could stay close enough to normal. It made him worried of what they might feel when they heard he was a monster so the longer he could keep away from them the better, plus he wasn’t fantastic when it came to public attention. Sighing happily when Takeshi gave him the all clear to be with his parents he gave a nod, taking the crutches under his secondary arms. “Thanks…uhh, if you want you can still come visit us. My father would most likely want to see you all because you’re Saiyans”, he smiled, slowly sliding off the bed and leaning on the crutches, “I need to give you back my scouter anyway because of what Vegeta said about them. You can give it back to me in the morning. Is that alright with you?” Viral couldn’t understand why if they were so frustrated all the time that they’d want to stay with him, especially when it was only causing them pain to be around him. He shouldn’t be allowed out to do normal things if he was going to endanger someone everytime something happened that was the slightest bit off. He almost wanted to tell Vegeta that he wasn’t depressed but even then he wasn’t sure if he could pull off a lie like that just to make him feel better about his current health. The only way they could all be content was if he was ‘put into storage’ while everything was sorted so that he couldn’t hurt anyone during the treatment. At this point he wasn’t sure whether he was too far gone for them to fix, but the only logical thing he could think of doing was locking himself away. Vegeta was quick to protest his belief to keep to himself, but of course he would be trying to link how he was mentally with how his physical condition was. “You said yourself that you wanted to fix the worst of it first…and what’s happening to me happens to be the worst right now!” Before he could protest anymore to either of them it was Yumi who was quick to lash out at him in the form of a smack across the face, catching him by surprise and causing him to stumble a bit. Growling lowly he rubbed his face, staring at her at first before looking away as she only got increasingly upset over his words. He found it hard to understand her meaning of ‘love’ and couldn’t understand where this insistence to be around him was coming from even after he just got chastised for suddenly acting out, just none of this was making any sense to him. Feeling confused over what he truly wanted was probably the hardest part of this when he was so set on disappearing from their sights. Moving his paw from his cheek to his head he kept his eyes off her as he tried to nurse his confusion, gasping when she suddenly touched his arm and immediately looking to her once more. There was always a ‘we’ in her words and that pressure definitely added up in how he felt, pressing on his chest like an angry finger intent on forcing guilt into him. Of course he was going to feel guilty, this whole thing was concentrating on chastising him for his own intensions. Growling a sigh he slowly shook his head, keeping his paw pressed against it. “Even when I tell you to leave it, both of you grow defiant over my orders. I can’t win against either of you…” he spoke lowly, lowering his gaze, “Do you know how hard it is? The constant pressure to reveal my worries and defeats when I see no reason why it would make anything better! It’s nothing that can be fixed just because I said something! I know you want to help and…all those other things, but what’s it going to change? I’ll still be in constant pain with all these deformities that bring no benefit to me! I’m not angry at either of you for trying, but I just want this over and done with before I really do tear you both apart…”

Takeshi could see this whole conversation was going to go nowhere fast, probably best to drop it. Convincing Shu that he was being silly and not just "himself" was going to be impossible, unless that really was just how he acted... Which it was. Gah, this is why he didn't argue with his brother, it just made his head hurt! Narrowing his eyes at the younger boy he gave his head a rubbing, looking back over at T'charrl as he was getting finished up. "Hn... You're still a goofball, just so you know. Even if that is how you normally are." It was nice to see their friend getting back into the swing of things, and maybe in just a few days time he would be as good as new. Whatever T'charrl's plans were for the future, traveling with them or remaining here he was going to need to be healthy for it. Yet again Shu brought up a question of his character, making Takeshi turn back as he smiled slightly frustrated. "I am plenty nice," he began, squatting down and prodding Shu in the forehead, "I'm a hell of a lot nicer than I used to be, and that's good enough. If other people don't like it then too bad." Pausing briefly he frowned, hanging his head as he let out a long winded sigh. "I am getting really tired of being hit, though... Starting to worry if I might suffer brain damage because of it." "You'd better bet your rear we'll come and visit!!" Takeshi said, getting back to his feet with a smile, "I don't know what your dad will want with us, but I won't say no. As long as he's not going to do anything weird like poke at us or examine us." That was probably more Katas' speed though; why did it always seem like the hyper-intelligent people were weird? It was thoughts like that which made him glad he was just average, otherwise he could be a total nutcase. Looking at the scouter being offered Takeshi snatched it right up, giving a nod as he slipped it into one of his pockets. "Sure, no problem. We'll come by first thing tomorrow to see you, okay? And we'll try bringing everyone else along too." If by some unfortunate chance this would be where they went their separate ways then it was best to bring everyone along, otherwise someone could be disappointed they didn't get to say their goodbyes. For now though they had better get moving, seeing as T'charrl would want to spend time with his family. Dinner on the ship then, not so bad. "We'll see you later buddy, have fun with your parents!" Takeshi added as he made for the door, pausing to look back at Renthal, "Stupid doctor..." Gasping as the same clipboard was thrown at his head he ducked under it, promptly slipping out of the room afterwards. Yumi couldn't keep her mouth closed any longer, and this needed to be said. Whatever reasons Viral thought that they were doing this needed to be cleared up, and he had to understand that this wasn't some kind of obligation. Any guilt he was feeling, any sense of his being a burden to them, all of that needed to be done away with. So maybe she shouldn't have slapped the Beastman like that, but it had gotten his attention at the very least. Going into a fair long-winded rant she ended with a few soft-spoken words, placing a hand on Viral's arm to try and convey that she really wasn't angry with him. "Viral... We want to help, and you know we want to help, but we can't do anything if we don't know what's going on," Yumi reaffirmed, smiling sadly, "Saying what's eating at you won't fix it, sure, but it'll make it so we can. Instead of bumbling around in the dark like we have been we can focus on what the real issues are, and things will get better even quicker. Just talking to us about it and sharing what's on your mind will make this so much easier, on everyone. And it's hard, but it's the first step to you really getting better." "The truth of the matter is that we won't abandon you no matter what might happen," Vegeta continued, smiling slightly, "I've been called a stubborn bastard before, and never before does it ring more true than now. I've not been working tirelessly to help you simply because I was asked by my father, or that I feel some sort of sense of obligation, but because I want to. I want to help you, as does Yumi and everyone else. But we're incapable of lifting so much as a finger until you tell us what you feel, and what you're thinking. The only person who knows your exact feelings is you, nothing we can do will truly tell us that much." This had to convey the point, otherwise there really was no way of opening Viral's eyes. There was frustration, but not directed at him, and there was sadness, but only sadness because of sympathy. He may not want their attention nor might he feel deserving of it, but it would come regardless. Watching as Yumi went ahead and gave a hug to the Beastman, Vegeta chuckled lightheartedly, rubbing at the back of his head. "This sentimental business really doesn't suit me... But what needed to be said has been said. If you can just talk to us then we can really get on the road to recovery. The only reason we've been so against your wishes so far is because we know that if we did as asked things would only get worse. We insist because we care, and because we're trying to help. All you need to do is let us in, and we can do the rest."

T’charrl was pretty sure his parents would be happy to try and accommodate his differences and make sure people weren’t going to see him for what he was. Despite the people being fairly eager to see him he didn’t want them to see him quite yet, especially if something bad might happen during the process of confronting them. He was still in the process of mastering his powers and he was far from there. Keeping his balance on his crutches he took a few steps forward, just trying to get used to the weight and movement before giving Takeshi a nervous smile, “Umm, he’s not really into that examining stuff, I don’t think. If he was he would probably poke me for longer than he’d be talking for”, he sighed, looking down at himself, “He’ll probably want to see how much I’ve improved, though. I know that much…” Giving Takeshi the scouter he seemed disappointed that Takeshi was already moving to the door, sounding as if he wasn’t going to stay for dinner after all. “Uhh, you can come back for dinner, you know! You don’t need to leave for the ship just now”. Gasping when Renthal threw his clipboard he quickly looked to him, frowning. “Do you have to scare my friends off like that? You know how hard it is for me to make friends…” Shu was a little sad that Takeshi had decided to retreat from the room but Renthal was pretty insistent on attacking him with various things. Shu still found it funny, even if he was technically in the line of fire as well when he ran after Takeshi. Bouncing after him he giggled happily, spinning around on his heel when he managed to get out. “You should had said sorry, you know!” he smiled, bouncing on his toes, “Saying sorry makes everything better! It’s good to be nice and say sorry. Maybe you won’t get brain damage! What is brain damage? Does it hurt…?” Viral was under a lot of stress right now and his only way of showing it was through his expression of pain. He couldn’t handle it all at once. Yumi and Vegeta were really laying a lot on him even if they didn’t mean to, as if they were both peering down at him with a judgmental gaze while he was powerless to do anything. He felt so powerless for the duration, being forced to take it even when it was good intentions. Even as Yumi tried to comfort him by placing a hand on his arm he still felt small and powerless to act, trying to defend himself with words alone but the stress was still there. “Then what? I say things and nothing happens…nothing changes…” he spoke lowly. He couldn’t focus on anything that might help him recover because there was no way for him to recover just by speaking about his problems, so he thought. He felt completely powerless and he hated that. Only giving Vegeta a glance when he spoke up he simply looked away again, staring at nothing. He couldn’t compete against the pair of them in a war of words. He just couldn’t understand it, he was completely useless anyway so what was the point? They were never going to let him be. Finding no way out of this confrontation he felt enclosed and backed into a corner with kindness. Feeling close to simply running away he looked down at himself, his paw slowly lowering to hold his other paw before he let out a sudden gasp as Yumi grabbed him into a hug without warning. He couldn’t really get out of her hold when his arms were squished against his body, not to mention it was difficult to comprehend whenever he did get hugged. Getting all flustered thanks to both Yumi and Vegeta he tried to move but couldn’t, going slightly red in the face before he eventually sighed, giving Vegeta a frown before looking away. “I-…my first wish was going to be for my own life force, my own ‘Ki’”, he muttered, lowering his gaze, “I wanted Ki so badly. To have what organic lifeforms had so I could have my own-…but, after the Saiyans took me, they experimented on me, trying to infuse it into me. I soon realised even if I asked Shenron I would become no better than those Saiyans. Manipulating what I am…but, the power I would gain…it would be beyond comprehension…”Letting out a low growl he shook it off, eventually sighing. “My second wish was a little more complicated…but, I’m not saying anything about that…it’s too personal…”

Maybe Takeshi had misunderstood a little bit, having walked out like that. From how things were being said he thought they were going to have to leave and so he was, with a little extra encouragement from Renthal. Seriously, stupid doctor throwing things around, weren't doctors supposed to help and not hurt? Guy had the thinnest skin in the history of forever, getting violent over two little quips like that. How was he supposed to act towards someone who smacked him with a clipboard? Stopping just outside the door he let out a sigh, raising an eyebrow as he turned to look back at Shu. Sheesh, there was Shu telling him to be all nice again, it was getting a bit redundant. He was nice, at least usually. Not his fault the doctor couldn't take being laughed at; Renthal was so sensitive apparently maybe he ought not to be dressing like that. "Brain damage is when you're brain gets hurt, I figured that was pretty straight forward," Takeshi answered, "And hang on a second, will you?" They really should still do dinner, especially with how Shu had been looking forward to it. Plus it was nice to get a change of scenery, so any excuse to stay out of the ship they should take. Going back to the door and poking his head in he smiled slightly, giving a small wave, "Hey! We'll be coming for dinner, don't worry. Kind of forgot for a second, sorry." "If you'll only speak to us Viral then everything changes. Getting it out in the open will relieve stress, and it'll enable us to actually work on the real issues here. We may be able to help you as things are now, but opening up will put you on the fast track to recovery." Vegeta wasn't going to add the fact having Viral open up would provide them with some peace of mind as well. Having someone so close to you be depressed constantly wore on those around them as well, and goodness knows he was feeling the effects of it, as was Yumi. Astonishingly between his and Yumi's coaxing the Beastman did begin to speak, however tentatively at first it may have been. Compared to how things had been progressing at this rate hearing the wishes he'd had for himself were the first big step they had made in quite a while. Unfortunately it did not seem as they would get both, yet having even just one was enough to get started. "Granting you Ki isn't impossible, I'm certain the Saiyans went about it the wrong way," Vegeta mused, nodding as he placed a hand on his chin, "But Viral, think about it. When my father created you he did not grant you Ki, and can you guess why? You were his greatest success and pride, so I doubt he'd purposefully slight you. I think he made you strong enough that even without you could face any foe. Yes, your strength has waned with this mess, but we can bring you back to your former power, maybe even beyond it." Viral was wholly capable of fighting Ki users, and besides, he had his own form of energy. Arguably stronger than Ki Viral shouldn't forget he could harness the power of the sun to much the same ends, the only thing he was missing was flight. "I'll leave the choice to you. I can most likely find a means of giving you Ki, but I don't know if I could undo it. Personally I believe my father thought you did not need it, that you can become powerful enough without, yet I'll leave that decision to you." Yumi was pretty darn happy to be hearing Viral's wishes, even if only one. It was more than they had ever been given before and she was a little surprised by what he wanted. In a way it made sense, he was surrounded by Ki users and saw what it could do on a daily basis. If she were to be honest when she had first met Shu and Takeshi she had been the same way, astonished and excited by the prospective power of Ki. Now that she had access to Ki it was certainly nice, though she could function just as well without. Smiling up at her friend she released him at last, taking a small step back as she folded her hands together. "When we all first started traveling together you were the strongest out of us, and you never had Ki. Really up until you were taken away you were stronger than everyone, so you can definitely be again." Letting out a small laugh Yumi closed her eyes, her smile widening as she tilted her head to the side. Things were going to start looking up if they could keep this going, now she was excited for Viral. "Wanting Ki isn't selfish, by the way. I did the same thing but I don't think I was selfish by doing it. You're a fighter like we are, and any time there's a new technique or ability that can give you an edge in a fight you want it. I'm with Vegeta, I don't think you need it up I'll support you 100% if you decide you want it. I can even help train you to use it, if you'd like."

Shu certainly found Takeshi’s way of talking to be quite strange but he would go along with it, probably because everybody else thought his way of talking was strange anyway. He just wanted to understand how the world worked and what better way to do that than to ask questions. Tilting his head at Takeshi’s answer for brain damage he found it a little strange, not quite finding how to piece the words together and how they worked well together. “Ooh? Why damage as word for hurt? Why not brain pain?” he asked curiously before Takeshi decided to enter the doctor’s office again, tilting his head at what he was saying. He thought they were already going for dinner but whatever, it was nothing new to him. T’charrl felt a little sad that Takeshi sounded as if he was going to be leaving for the ship already, hoping he didn’t take his question to spend time with his parents very literally. They had enough food for many guests all the time and he would feel lonely if his friends weren’t there. Thankfully, Takeshi soon showed himself again and announced he was coming to dinner in the end. “Oh good, I thought you were going to bail on me”, he sighed, giving a nervous smile, “I’ll be ready soon. I just want to have a little check before heading out again, okay?” He hoped Renthal could maybe give him a check for any abnormalities, turning towards him. “Uhh, Renthal…is it possible for you to check my blood? I want to keep anything you find between you and my family. Just I’ve gone through a few uhh, changes…a-and wouldn’t mind having them on file incase I get sick and your medicine doesn’t help me…” Viral didn’t like talking about himself at all and that was probably the height of it for now, but of course that would be until something else popped up. If it would make them happy then they could at least know what one of his wishes would’ve been, even if they tried to make it a positive thing that he spoke up about it. He didn’t see it as at all positive, only that he was a lot weaker for making himself seem pathetic in wanting something so trivial as a wish. It would change his life for possibly the better, plus he would be much more powerful than he ever could be as he is now. Nobody would be able sense his energy when it would be secondary to his own and he would be able to do what he could never do before; however, it was still going to be a distant memory. Hearing Vegeta talk about giving him Ki didn’t really lift his spirit, knowing it would be forcefully placed instead of given to him as a gift. It would be risky and not in his design as the Saiyans soon found out. “He did not give me Ki because…it wouldn’t work”, he spoke lowly, letting out a sigh as Yumi finally let him go, “…To give me Ki would be to extract the Ki from another being. My energy is already as artificial as Ki could be…yet it doesn’t grant me the same abilities as everyone else”. Really he didn’t know why he had been created in the way he had been, especially when the answers he got before didn’t come clear enough to him. He was told he was created as experimental life, but he had been given so much and yet was forbidden from using them unless he wanted to get cause trouble. He couldn’t use most of what he had been granted already and it frustrated him. Staring at his paws for a moment his eyes soon moved to Yumi, staring at her as she tried to make him reminisce about the past. He may had been strong then but he wasn’t strong now and couldn’t catch up no matter what they said. Growling lowly he shook his head. “To grant me the Ki Vegeta speaks of, it’ll never be the same Ki I desire. It will be artificial and experimental…something not done before…” he spoke lowly, “You would have to try hard to implant a new energy into these damaged genes. It’ll never be the Ki I want, but it would be close enough…”

Why did Shu always have to ask questions? About everything? Jeez, he didn't know the specifics about brain damage, he just knew it was a thing. Sighing to himself Takeshi scratched at his head, placing one hand on his hip as he glanced over at Shu. "It's... I don't know, I have no idea why it's not called brain pain," the older boy replied, "Damage means... I mean it's the same as hurting or injuring, basically. So saying you had brain damage means you hurt your brain, get it? Good." Shy of that brief, hasty explanation he'd just provided Takeshi hadn't the slightest idea how to elaborate on the point further. Really explaining medical stuff to anyone was too complicated for him, he'd admit that. They really should figure out what exactly they were doing too, whether it was going back to the ship or staying here. Takeshi thought for a moment they should leave since T'charrl wanted time with his folks, but then it dawned on him he'd probably not spend all his time with them. Doubling back to the room he made sure their friend knew they would be around, nodding his head in reply to what was said. "Sure, we'll uh... I guess walk around the city a bit. Go spend time with your mom and dad, we'll come back in a bit." Exploring the town might be fun, it wasn't so often you got to see an underground city. Turning to Shu he smiled knowingly, pointing down the corridor they had come from. "How's about you lead the way buddy?" "Your friends truly are imbeciles... You know that right...?" Renthal asked, having waited for everyone else to get out of earshot. "They're good kids, I can tell that much, but not the brightest bunch. I suppose we take what we can get though." Pushing the glasses up on his face a little the doctor glanced over at T'charrl, tilting his head to the side hearing the request. It wasn't unreasonable, though he was a touch confused as to why they were doing it now. Drawing blood after being so exhausted and potentially on an empty stomach would leave the Prince feeling weaker than when he had come in earlier. "I suppose I can do that boy, but you know I can't keep things from Her Majesty. If she comes knocking I'll hand it over, but I can at least promise I won't go out of my way to tell her." To draw blood he'd need a syringe and a vial, as well as some disinfectant and gauze; nearly everything Renthal would need was in his storage cabinet. Fetching every item on his list the doctor took out a clump of gauze, nodding his head towards the bed once more. "Take a seat and we'll do this. I don't want you passing out or anything." Imbuing Viral with Ki wasn't wholly impossible, and Vegeta was even willing to wager his father had considered it at one point. Given the fact it hadn't been done he could only come to two conclusions; introducing Ki into Viral's body would not work outright, or it had been considered so late in the process that giving him it would be improbably difficult. Granted, so would be introducing new genes now, with Viral having some twenty plus years to his name. His body would change of course, as did Yumi's with her operation, but it was hard to say what might happen. "I suppose it's true we can't give you your own, genuine Ki. Unless..." There could be a way actually, albeit it would be extremely difficult. Putting one finger to his lips Vegeta folded his other arm behind his back, starting to pace as he sometimes did while deep in thought. "If I can take the culture of your cells... Introduce other cells to it... Theoretically by splicing them together your cells could incorporate the Ki. They would be your cells but they would have another person's Ki, thus perhaps granting you use of Ki. And that Ki would be finite, but if your body adapts to having it then I would think you might form your own. Of course, splicing DNA and then distributing it into your body and trying to make sure it manifests itself correctly would be far from easy, and a job to consider down the road. For now we focus on improving your health first." Yumi wasn't entirely sure what Vegeta had just said, only able to pick up the gist of the matter. "So we'd basically make it so he could make his own Ki, instead of giving him someone else's?" she asked, nodding to herself understandingly. It sounded like it would work, then again she hardly got any of it so what did she really know? If there was even a marginal chance of granting Viral's wish they should take it, if only because it might give their friend something to be hopeful for. There was the matter of his second wish as well, but since he was so reluctant to share it and they'd already pried out some information she wasn't going to push for it. "Thank you for sharing that with us, Viral. I think it's a great wish to have. And who knows, maybe it will come true some day!" If they managed to bring back Aito then the possibilities for the Beastman were boundless. Should they return to earth they would have both Aito and Ikura to work on making that dream a reality. Raising her arms up over her head in a stretch Yumi smiled, folding her hands behind her back again, "So what do we do now? Anything you want to do Viral?"

Shu didn’t understand why Takeshi was getting so impatient with him, especially when he was asking some good questions. He wanted to understand how normal society worked and how he was supposed to function in normal society and under their language rules. Tilting his head slightly to try and find out why certain words existed together he frowned a little when Takeshi dismissed him pretty quickly too, rubbing his head in mild confusion. “I was just confused…” he mumbled, not feeling too happy with that explanation. If it came to some important chat about brain damage then he wasn’t going to understand why it had to be specifically to the brain. Scratching his head in confusion he squeaked when Takeshi finished things up with T’charrl, his eyes peering into the room briefly before quickly standing up properly, swinging his tail. “Me lead way? But only been here one time”, he sighed, trying to think on where they should go before he bounced on his feet, “Ooh! To big tree! See big tree! To the houses and cities!” Bouncing down the corridor happily he made a run to head on outside, not appearing to have a care about whether he was going in the right direction. T’charrl gave Takeshi a little smile and a little wave as he headed on out, letting out a sigh once he was gone before his attention went to Renthal, frowning. “Well…I mean, Saiyans may not be as smart as Kaesstrians, but they have their positive quirks”, he sighed, rubbing his head, “They’ve all been through a lot too. I feel I can relate to them through that fact”. He really did enjoy being around his friends but there was no doubt that sometimes they weren’t the smartest bunch in the galaxy. That didn’t matter at all to him, especially when he was learning just as much from them as they were learning from him too, at least he hoped they were learning new things from him. Smiling at Renthal when he accepted his proposal he gave a nod. “My mother knows about the problems I face as I travel, but my father…I’m not sure if he even understands any of it”. Slowly moving back to the bed he calmly sat down, moving the crutches to the side before giving Renthal a smile. “I’ll lay down if I feel I’m going to faint. This is more important than me falling on the floor again”. Viral didn’t see how it would be possible to be everything he wanted to be with implanted Ki, but if it made him come close to that then that was going to be good enough. He needed to grow in power and that was going to help him even if it was just a dream. He didn’t know what might happen to him if Vegeta did modify him or if he would ever be able to go back to how he used to be, but that would be another trial to him and nothing more. Frowning when Vegeta gradually decided to speak as if he was imagining the process in his mind he just stared at him tiredly, unable to understand what he was trying to say before eventually deciding to look away, letting out a long sigh. It was just like him to talk science around him without giving a definite answer, just that it might be possible or might not be very easy to do after all. “’Forming my own Ki’ sounds like too much of a longshot just because I’m using someone else’s…” Not feeling entirely confident with himself now that he just gave Vegeta an idea of an experiment, he was fine with the fact that it had caused them both to stop berating him for not saying what was on his mind and dismissing the fact that he nearly hurt Yumi. Just because he had talked about his first wish didn’t mean anything to him and only made him feel embarrassed. He was still going to be a danger to the pair of them and still believed they shouldn’t be anywhere near him right now, not unless they wanted to get hurt. Grumbling at Yumi’s positivity he turned away from her. “There are greater wishes to make than those to gain more power”. With little he could do about what he told them he simply tried to forget the conversation even happened, his paw going back to his head. There was no need for all that fuss he received and all the mixed emotions that were thrown at him, especially when he put Yumi in danger first and foremost. “I don’t care what you do or what I do. The more I do the less I can control myself. I would rather I do as little as possible to remain in control. You two sure have a knack of forgetting who you’re talking to…”

Takeshi just had no idea how to explain Shu's question, and that was frustrating to him. He was the one that was supposed to explain things to the little guy, and when he came up short he got really ticked. Not much he could do about it now, probably would have to ask Vegeta for a better explanation. Glancing over at Shu sadly when he basically had told his brother off he let out a sigh, wondering how he could make it up to the little guy. They had some time to kill before dinner, so maybe some exploring around the city would do some good. They could go see whatever Shu wanted to, he'd probably like that. Hardly having voiced the opinion a few seconds earlier Shu took to the idea like bees to honey, darting off down the hallway without any warning. Sighing he looked over at Haku exasperatedly before shrugging his shoulders, the two of them chasing after Shu. "Hang on Shu, we don't want to get lost!" Takeshi shouted, trying to stop Shu from going the wrong way. It was left up here, right? Since they had come out of the throne room on the right they probably needed to head left to get back to the gates. "Shu, take a left up ahead!" "They've been through a lot then, hm? I bet they've been part of that war the Saiyans are fighting," Renthal mused, pouring a bit of the disinfectant onto a cloth. "I heard the Queen speaking about that, apparently your friends had mentioned it before. Nasty business, I can't imagine the kind of wounded those fights create." As the doctor in the palace part of his job was tending not just to the royal family, but to troops as well. Over the course of this last power struggle he had seen all sorts of injuries, yet they had all been done by weapons. If what he heard was true and Saiyans could shoot one another with strange power then there were goodness knows what kinds of wounds. It was nice the Prince had found friends, but perhaps he was better off trying to make friends with Kaesstrians. "Maybe your falling down isn't a problem for you, but do you know what your mother would do to me if she found out?" Renthal asked, frowning as he grabbed T'charrl's arm and began swabbing it. "If she learned I had let you collapse on my watch she'd be hysterical, and I like my head attached to my shoulders. At any rate you're going to feel a small pinch boy, so hold still." With syringe in hand he isolated a vein, carefully pricking through the skin and sticking the needle in. Drawing up a small portion of blood he removed the needle, offering new gauze to be held over the mark. "Stay here while I take a look." "It's not that much of a long shot, honestly. All we would need to do is enable your body to generate Ki, which we could do by imbedding some of your own cells with that potential. So long as they take and begin to spread then you'd have access to Ki. With your naturally hastened healing abilities we could create a small superficial wound, apply the cells and they should disperse in a matter of moments. Granted it would be a short while until we actually know if anything has happened, but it is plausible." It was an ambitious task, one that was perhaps a bit out of his expertise. Should they decide to try and give Viral Ki it would require an awful lot of careful work, work that perhaps only his father was fit to do. For now they should try to keep the Beastman occupied, long enough to hopefully bring him down from that momentary lapse of focus he'd just had. Returning to the ship would perhaps be the safest course of action, yet that was something Vegeta would much rather avoid. "We want to give you the liberty of deciding so you don't feel confined to our decisions," Vegeta explained plainly, "We're trying to let you make choices as not to make you feel like you have no free will. Think of us as just passengers for the moment, we're only along to do whatever it is you pick." -------------------- Finally, dinner time! All that wandering around the city coupled with chasing Shu in the trees had worked up one hell of an appetite; Takeshi hadn't really eaten all day, so at this point he was near ready to chew his own arm off. On the walk back to the palace he swore his stomach was grumbling loud enough to echo off of the cave walls, and more than once he was tempted to just go to a nearby store and grab something to eat. The others were probably hungry as well, but neither of their stomachs were audibly grumbling. Placing a hand on his stomach Takeshi let out a groan, hanging his head as they moved along. "So hungry... I want food..." he lamented, looking at the ever approaching palace. "A nice big steak... Or a pizza... Ooooh, I miss pizza..." He was all caught up on Earth food again, what was he going to do exactly now that they were on Kaesstra? Fruit, fruit, fruit, that was probably all that would be at dinner tonight. Shu would be in heaven, Haku probably didn't care, but jeez he just wanted a nice plate of meats. Sighing softly he glanced over at Shu, narrowing his eyes before sticking out his tongue childishly. "I wouldn't be so hungry if you didn't make me chase you through half the city, you dope," Takeshi said, groaning again as his stomach grumbled, "Man... This stinks."

T’charrl didn’t want Renthal to get in trouble for his antics no matter how strange and out there they were so falling over was probably on the list of ‘stupid ways to get Renthal in trouble’. If he fell over and bashed his head he probably wouldn’t have long before his mother came stomping down the hall to ‘talk’ to Renthal. He may need to remain with Renthal for a little while, maybe get something to drink while he worked on his blood. Looking to his arm as Renthal took it he soon gave him a smile. “Don’t worry, I won’t go anywhere if it makes you feel any better”, he spoke, giving his arm a quick glance, “She knows I’m here so she’ll be around soon enough probably. Might as well stay here until she comes to check on me.” Looking away as Renthal removed blood he let out a sigh as he took the gauze, pressing it against the tiny wound. He did hope he wouldn’t need anything new if there was any new developments, especially if they were going to turn out to be pretty negative. If there was going to be any changes to him he hoped they would involve him having an even less chance of becoming sick. Viral could choose to go back to the ship or continue venturing through the forest, but both had their negatives when it came to doing very little that would benefit him. He wanted to be free but if he did that he was liable to attack one of them. He probably would have a better time not having them around but they were pretty set on being with him. He hadn’t been alone since his condition got worse. To have Vegeta talking science to him just made him feel pretty stupid, even if it was concerning him. It wouldn’t be the same Ki and he knew that; he wouldn’t be able to do everything what he wanted to do with it but he guessed he’d still have a way to do the firing thing and maybe fly by himself. “It’s a matter of whether my body rejects the new cells and I just start dying or whatever…” Not entirely sure to where he should be going or what he should be doing he simply frowned as Vegeta tried to give him some motivation, turning away from them again and began walking. “Fine…if you’re just passengers then I’m going to find somewhere to relax. You don’t need to lie to me either. I know you’re here so I don’t run off into the forest somewhere mewing and hissing to myself as I run on my hands…” Shu was really excited over the prospect of food, running around all hyped up after their little venture. He really enjoyed this place even if he couldn’t really tell whether it was day or night, but that wasn’t bad for him when he could walk off any sort of tiredness he may have by eating a whole lot. He was excited while not being very subtle about showing it off. “Ooh! I love food! I love food!” he squeaked, bouncing around to Takeshi, “Pizza?? Pizz pizz pizzaaaaa…! What a funny thing! What funny!” He may be a little tired but he wasn’t exactly showing it when he was happily bouncing all over the place. He hoped he would get plenty of fruit at dinner, especially when Kaesstrians tended to eat a lot of it anyway. Giggling as he bounced about at Takeshi’s side he looked up at Takeshi when he called him a dope, tilting his head slightly. “But you get food now! Didn’t need to chase me”, he squeaked, giving him a smile, “Would not run if you weren’t chasing me! I didn’t make you do anything”. Viral had made sure he wasn’t going to get lost with them or get too distracted by the time it got dark, but was fairly aware that he was on a bit of a wander without much of a clue to where he was going. Searching for somewhere to relax regardless of Vegeta and Yumi he continued to move onwards, pushing through some of the foliage before finally finding what he was looking for. There was a large tree with what looked like pools of water coming from the ground. It was rather serene with even a shaft of the planet’s energy leaking from the ground as if it was a fountain, almost as if he had been trying to find that energy the entire time. Even if it wasn’t his own energy it was still like pure solar energy. Slowly moving towards it he held out his paws as if it was a fire, not caring particularly about the tree that did give him a desire to climb the moment he saw it first. It was an ideal spot to relax, even if it was a bit out in the open for his liking.

Takeshi was all about eating right now, and almost anything at that. Fruit was a bit boring but with his stomach grumbling incessantly he supposed it would have to do. Nothing quite compared to what he normally got on Earth, mostly because he could get lots and lots of his favorite foods there. Knowing that most of what he might want to eat wasn't on this world made him a bit bummed out, if only because he wasn't overly keen on loads of fruit. "You've had pizza before, Shu, remember?" the older boy asked, smiling exasperatedly, "It was that round thing with the cheese and red sauce on it, you liked it. I wish we had that here..." If they were lucky maybe they could go to the kitchen, find one of the cooks and see if they could make something like it. Probably wouldn't taste near the same, and actually Takeshi wasn't all that certain he wanted an alien pizza to begin with. After having played an impromptu round of tag with Shu he was hungrier than before, if that were possible. Narrowing his eyes at his brother Takeshi groaned, both hands grasping his stomach dramatically. "I wouldn't have chased you if you didn't get me slapped by that lady!" he said defensively, "I mean seriously! You asked if she had babies, and she was just big! Why didn't you get slapped for that?" Haku was trying his darnedest to not laugh right now, finding all of this pretty amusing. He wasn't sure what he expected when he'd be wandering with two Princes, but this certainly hadn't been it. Exploring an alien city, making friends with the locals, and enemies in Takeshi's case, it was all pretty fun. Now they were going to some big dinner with T'charrl too, that should prove to be nice. He was getting fairly hungry by now as well, and far as he was concerned any food would do. Fruit was hardly something that was plentiful on Kortal, and he'd not really had much on Earth either so this was bound to be interesting; so long as it was edible he didn't really care. Looking over at the brothers as they went back and forth he smiled slightly, rubbing at the back of his neck and letting out a small chuckle. "To be fair... You said she was just fat. Shu made a mistake, but you called her fat," Haku said, looking up and shirking back when he was glared at by Takeshi. "H-Hey, you did it!" Vegeta had no issue with allowing Viral to decide what they were to do, certainly not in such a secluded area. Yes, perhaps the Beastman was correct in assuming he was tagging along for insurance purposes. It wasn't that he didn't genuinely want to be here, because he did, but he was coming along too in order to make sure nothing went wrong. Already once had the Beastman lashed out, which struck the possibility of his going back to the ship clean off the slate. As they walked through the woods there appeared to be no signs of any relapse, and they made it quite a ways into the forest before finally stopping. It was difficult to say why they had gone such a long way, but if this was where Viral wanted to be then so be it. Wanting to allow their friend some privacy Vegeta grabbed a hold of Yumi's shoulder, putting a finger to his lips before nodding in the other direction. They would stay nearby, but there was no reason to be right at his side. Looking around at the trees in the area he found one with a wide branch, flying up to it before taking a seat, laying his legs out with his back against the trunk. Yumi joined him, sitting further down and hanging her legs over the edge. They could see Viral from here, but hopefully that didn't mean they would disturb his relaxation. "Your friends should be here soon enough, and I believe everything is in order finally. You must be excited, T'charrl," Yusef said, smiling at his son. Given that the Saiyans should be arriving within minutes the royal family was waiting in the dining hall for their guests, the food still waiting in the kitchen to be served. As it was a special occasion, celebrating T'charrl's coming home, the General had dressed up in better attire than he might normally wear. They were still military garments, but padded jackets and leggings were replaced with a colorful robe showing his status, several medallions and ribbons on a red sash across his shoulder. It was nice having their child home again, and he was certain there were plenty of stories he had to tell. For now though they would focus on the meal and having a nice evening together, something they hadn't done in nearly a month now. "Do you imagine your friends would like some entertainment for tonight? There's a musician here from one of the other kingdoms, he's been here a few days, I think you'd enjoy it at least. We can ask him to perform at dinner if you'd like."

Shu was all sorts of excited to get food even when he was needing it really badly, even when his energy wasn’t exactly the best right now. Despite his low energy he was incredibly bouncy and hyped up, probably because he knew he was going to get his favourite food. Bouncing around happily he did listen to Takeshi describing the pizza, giggling happily. “Hehe! I remember now! It was looong time ago…long time ago! I don’t remember very well, though…” he spoke, thinking of how long it had been before he clapped his hands together, “Ooh! Maybe we get again! Maybe Miss Yumi or friends can make pizza?” He would really like some pizza after that, missing a lot of foods that Takeshi had that wasn’t raw. It made him happy to be able to have the opportunity for all those kinds of food, but it didn’t mean he didn’t like his kind of food the best. Walking along happily he squeaked when Takeshi accused him of purposely getting him in trouble, staring at him for a moment before his eyes quickly went to Haku. Giving him a staring at for a second he bounced on his feet, turning back to Takeshi. “Ooh! I said babies, you said fat! I no like being called fat and you no either!” he giggled, bouncing away from him towards the palace, “Babies better! I saw babies! Did you see babies? I saw, I saw!” Viral needed to figure out what he needed to feel better when his body was constantly on the verge of collapse, his mind doing no better. The energy was supposed to help him through it all and if he couldn’t find a way to fix it using this then he didn’t know whether he was supposed to do on this planet to feel better. There was too much forest to find the sun to be of any use here, but he was able to find a way to compensate at least. Standing in front of the small funnel of energy he soon quickly looked around, trying to see where Yumi and Vegeta went off to. Getting a little suspicious he decided to look up and around, eventually finding them both in the tree. That was a little eerie of them to move on up there like silent watchers, especially when they would be carefully observing everything he was doing. Feeling a little paranoid that they might speak ill of him while they were up there he grumbled, moving slightly closer to the energy until he could feel its odd heat. It would probably scorch anybody else who decided to get too close but to him it felt warm, almost numbing his senses. Letting out a sigh he eventually sat down in front of it on the dry soil, hoping to bask in the energy that spouted out of the planet. Whatever Yumi and Vegeta were doing he couldn’t help but feel paranoid over it, as if they were analysing him from afar like scientists. T’charrl was fairly anxious even if it was his friends coming to dinner. He didn’t see how anything could go wrong but there was still always going to be that problem with his parents disapproving of their behaviour. He had spent a long time with his friends and knew how they acted, even if it wasn’t their fault. Still with his crutches he stared down at the floor in thought, confused to how he was supposed to spark up a conversation. It was nice to be back with his family and was looking forward to spending some time with them after this. Smiling to himself his attention soon went to his father, giving him a few nods before looking away. “I am pretty excited. It feels like forever since I came back…even if I’ve been here all my life”, he spoke, smiling, “I really enjoyed travelling…apart from a few uhh, ‘aspects’…” He didn’t want to tell his family how hard it was for him to control himself, thinking it might be too much trouble for them to know the problems he faced and how painful everything was. Letting out a sigh to calm down he looked back to his father, raising his brow before looking away, tapping his claws together. “Oh wow, really? Yeah…I mean, of course they would! Maybe they’ll like our planet even more hearing them. Maybe it would be fun for them too. Is there anything else planned? Why is the musician here, anyway?”

"I'm sure someone can make pizza for us if we wanted, or I could even make it. I mean maybe, I doubt they have the stuff for it here." Ugh, there was just no winning. He wanted to talk about food because it was delicious, but talking about it was only making him even hungrier. If they were lucky they could get one of the cooks to try making one, if they were taking orders. He wasn't super keen on a fruit pizza either, which is probably what they would use. Fantasizing a bit about the food he was again annoyed about the woman from earlier, still absolutely convinced Shu had gotten him hit. Haku of all people then came in with his two cents, giving his own take on what had happened. He was right really, but Takeshi was much too stubborn to admit that. Grumbling something incoherently under his breath the older boy stuffed his hands into his pockets, sighing as he looked at the now visible gate of the palace. "She wasn't pregnant, she was fat. Not my fault the lady can't stand being called fat when she's fat," he said, "Forget it anyways, not a big deal. Let's just grab dinner while we're here, yeah?" It was awfully convenient that the guards noticed them coming up the pathway, and evidently they were expected as there was no annoying pat down or security check. Waving to the guards as they walked past Takeshi smiled expectantly, pausing when they got inside and there was no one to greet them. "Uh... How do we get to the dining room again...?" It was nice to have T'charrl home, and while Yusef might like a dinner alone as a family he wouldn't deny his son his friends. Company should be nice, and while a touch odd he knew the Saiyans were good kids. To think that their son would end up befriending people from another planet, it was oddly fitting for him. For someone that struggled with his own people the General almost could understand why it took another race to finally befriend the Prince. Now that he was something of a hero to their kind and renowned for defeating Garesh there would probably be others, but those were friends looking for things other than simple friendship. "I'm glad you've enjoyed traveling, I can only imagine the things you must have seen," Yusef mused with a smile, "I'd like to visit another world if I ever get the chance, it would be a once in a lifetime experience." To think that kids so young were traveling amongst various worlds, he couldn't even begin to fathom what that was like. All he knew was Kaesstra, and even then really just his own kingdom and the closer kingdoms as well. To travel into space... "Hm? Ah, he's come by because he's acting as a sort of messenger as well. The other neighboring kingdoms are curious about what was happening here, and I'm thinking they want to get a sense of who is in power now. As far as they know it's still your mother, which they may or may not be thrilled about." "There's nothing else planned for the evening, unless you'd like something else," Eslaria interjected, "As for what the other kingdoms think of me I can't really be bothered to care. There's enough to be concerned about here at home without fussing over what our neighbors think of us." They weren't even really on bad terms with the neighboring kingdoms either, as there hadn't been conflict in quite some time with any of them. At worst there was silence between them, though the norm was a mutual understanding that each was its own kingdom, and should be left as such. Conquering one another was a thing of the past, nowadays every power was left to attend to its own affairs. That being said any sort of trouble in any kingdom tended to catch some attention, and it was natural to be both curious and concerned. Leaning forward in her seat the Queen rested her elbows on the table, folding her hands together and resting her chin atop of her hands. "I don't doubt that the other kingdoms are going to be interested in your friends too, and what it might mean for them. We need to make sure this man doesn't see them as a threat in any regard, otherwise it could give cause for concern. So T'charrl, please do make sure they behave themselves tonight?" Giving Viral some space to enjoy himself didn't seem like such a bad idea, especially not if they hung around here. Getting out of the ship was a good start, but given some time to himself in a nice place should really help take some of the stress away. That thought aside Yumi had been asked to have a chat with Vegeta, though she wasn't sure about what; the topic was likely private given they were distancing themselves from Viral. Expecting it to be about the Beastman himself she was a little taken aback when he had asked, looking down at the ground below as she contemplated the question. Not an easy thing to answer, especially considering how torn she felt on the subject. After a few moments of deliberating she let out a long winded sigh, folding her hands in her lap and frowning. "It's hard to say if I want to go back to normal or not, honestly. I mean it's weird being like this, but there's things that I get from it too. I can do all sorts of things better now, and really there's nothing that's bad about it," she explained, glancing over at Vegeta and getting a disparaging look. "Okay, aside from apparently having lapses in my memories there's nothing bad. Maybe that will go away though? It could just be a temporary thing." "I hate to say it, but I very much doubt that. Memory problems don't just 'go away', they get worse," Vegeta explained, "I don't know what's causing it, nor can I say why it happens when it does, but it's something we seriously have to look into. I've not done any real examination since you came back, so there's no way of knowing every detail of what happened. I'd like to think you're stable in your current condition, but if I have to be brutally honest I'm skeptical. They were working with something they were unfamiliar with, and applied that in a short amount of time. If I had to put a number to it I would say there's an 85% chance that something is amiss, and that is being generous in your favor." This was not a conversation that Yumi wanted to be having, he could discern as much by her crestfallen look. He had to be straight with her and let her know what the deal was, lying to someone who was ill was just wrong. Still, she was a friend and he really did not enjoy sharing this with her, no matter if he thought she should know. Reaching out he placed a hand on her shoulder, giving it a small pat before smiling. "Look... I'm going to get working on it as soon as I can, and we'll have my father back to help soon enough. If you decide to keep this then we can do that, and he'll be able to make sure nothing goes wrong. So don't worry, alright? It will work out."

Shu couldn’t wait for food and could almost run on ahead without them if it wasn’t for the fact that he should be staying together for now, especially when there was guards about. He might get in trouble if he ran right into the palace without saying who he was, even if he was distinguishable compared to all the other people who lived here. “Maybe have stuff, maybe have stuff nearly like stuff for pizza? They have fruit so why no pizza stuff?” It would be nice to have some stuff like that again even if it wasn’t natural, so long as he didn’t get sick from it. He rarely got sick but he still worried about it all the same. Giggling at Takeshi trying to stand up for himself he quickly glanced at the guards, doing the same as Takeshi before bouncing on after him. “Dinner! Yum yum yum!” he squeaked happily, turning to Takeshi quickly before bouncing on ahead, “Follow your nose! I can smell the food!” T’charrl hoped his friends would behave around his parents, knowing his mother didn’t particularly like their attitude and his father was a proud man but could still feel the sting of his mother’s rage when it did happen. It was always going to be a worry when his friends didn’t quite know how to act like royalty that they were apparently. He didn’t feel bitter about them acting out sometimes, just worried that they might make his mother angry. Sighing a little in anticipation he gave his father a little smile before looking away again, rubbing his head, “A few of the worlds were really rough…I mean, I couldn’t go on one and another was really hot and painful to be on. You would have to pick the right places to go, I guess…” he chuckled, trying to make it sound as if it was possible in the future; maybe it would be, but he was still worried his father might end up killed in space since he loved battling so much, “It’s really dangerous in space…then you can’t walk”. He didn’t mind the fact his mother had taken power for now when she was the true Queen, his interest in taking over her not being his top priority right now when he still had all of his problems. To be tossed in front of many other leaders and declare he was in charge when he could barely stand was probably the worst thing he could do. Looking to his mother he gave a nervous smile. “Well…you’re stronger than they are so even if they objected they can’t do much about it, right?” he spoke before sighing, rubbing his neck, “I hope none of them were allies of the General, though”. T’charrl wasn’t feeling good about seeing the other leaders at all when none of them could possibly understand what he was going through and what he was. It was still hard for him to accept and he still didn’t know whether he was stuck like this. He was confused to what he truly wanted, but what he did want rid of was this aching pressure that constantly told him he was abnormal and a freak of nature. Letting out a sigh as he rubbed his chest he gasped when he realised his mother was talking to him, staring at her curiously before nodding. “I-I will! I will. Don’t worry. They usually behave around company…usually…” All this silence certainly made Viral feel confused for once in his life, his inability to find peace even when he was by himself starting to show. He thought he wanted to be left alone but upon finding himself without company left him feeling uneasy, as if it was unnatural for him. Staring into the shining energy spouting from the ground his eyes soon went to the dry soil around it, sighing as he found it only to be a problem for him. He was confused by this feeling, his desire to be by himself proving to be a confusing time for him. Maybe it was because he was around the others too much and got too comfortable with it, finding solitude to be undesirable. He didn’t want to be confused like this, it made him feel as if he was starting to regret what he didn’t do in his life. He wanted to believe he had plenty of time before this illness got the better of him, but thinking it through only made him feel as if he was just trying to deny the inevitable. He did wonder how long he could hold out for.

"I really doubt they have the stuff for it, seeing as its an alien planet. I doubt they'd have any idea how to make one unless we wrote them instructions." Come to think of it Takeshi wasn't overly sure how to make one himself. When most of your diet subsisted of meat and fish you really couldn't cook much else outside of those. That was a perk of having a group like theirs, other people could do the cooking for you! 'Course it didn't help that the actual cooks hated cooking normally, and the other people who could make meals were off doing their own thing. At the very least they were being fed for tonight, something which had Shu all kinds of excited. Passing by the guards and heading into the palace Takeshi immediately realized a problem; they had been here before, but none of them knew exactly how to get to the dining hall. Frowning he looked down either corridor and ahead to the stairs, giving his head a scratching. Where he was utterly clueless it sounded like his brother had more of an idea, bounding off after some scent apparently. "Hey... Wait! Don't go running off!" he called, sighing as he jogged after the little guy. "Shu, slow down! We don't know if this is the right way!" Eslaria was every bit as curious about T'charrl's travels as her husband, but now was not the time nor place to be discussing it. This was a family dinner, the first in some time and she wanted to focus on the family, not some adventures. After the meal sure, it would be good table talk, but right now she had other things on her mind. Far as she could remember about his friends they were nice enough, if not a touch unusual and even somewhat bothersome. The Queen wouldn't fault them for being unaware of Kaesstrian customs since that was a bit unfair, though that didn't mean it didn't agitate her. Given the fact they had a visitor from another kingdom as well she was concerned about how they would behave during dinner. "I'd like to think I'm the strongest, but I'm not going to delude myself. If I'm perfectly honest we don't know what the deal is in some kingdoms, there are probably new leaders I haven't even met yet. And when you consider there's a handful of people in our own kingdom who could match me, well, I hardly think of myself as the most powerful," Eslaria explained, smiling slightly amused, "The most stubborn perhaps." Speaking of stubbornness she was adamant about T'charrl's friends behaving tonight, and she was certain to make sure her son understood that much. His response hardly did much to instill that much confidence, but she would have to hope that he was able to keep the Saiyans in check. "Well for their sake I hope that usually becomes always." Yumi really did not enjoy talking about her issues like this, especially when she was hard pressed to accept she even had them. Logically what she had been told made sense, and it certainly would explain her small lapses in memory. Thinking that she would randomly get angry or strike out like that was unsettling, as it essentially placed her in the same position as Viral. Maybe hers wasn't as severe, but there was still that concern. "I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best, believe me, but it's kind of scary. I can understand why Viral and Shu are always so against talking about it now, it's not fun." Having the topic brought up was making her feel uneasy and isolated, which didn't make too much sense. Why she was getting this sensation of loneliness confused her at first, until she happened a glance in Viral's direction. There it was again, that weird notion that she could pick up on what someone was feeling at that moment. It had to be coming from Viral, Vegeta didn't certainly come across as lonely. "I'll try to keep that in mind, but right now I've got something I need to do." Sliding forward and off of the branch Yumi landed on the soft earth below, folding her hands behind her back as she slowly approached Viral. They thought having some alone time was what he needed, but evidently it was only hurting him. "Viral? What are you looking at?" she asked, smiling kindly as she stopped a bit away, "Mind if I sit with you?"

Shu couldn’t understand how Takeshi had such a lack of senses when it came to being able to sniff out food when he was hungry. He thought all Saiyans could do it since he could and yet there was Takeshi all unable to find his way because he couldn’t follow the smell of food. He was not terribly sure where the way out would be but he didn’t have much of a care either. He wanted to get to the food and he was going to find it whether they wanted him to pop in first or not. He presented himself pretty well in front of others, even if he was a spastic little monkey-boy. Giggling as he ran off down the halls he looked back to Takeshi, eventually deciding to bounce along instead of run. “You just too slow! Silly Takeshi!” he giggled and spun around, bouncing on off down the hallway, turning a corner before finally finding his destination. Coming to a full stop immediately he looked to the table, staring at it before to his friend and his parents. Giving a happy wave he turned around, seeing if Takeshi had found his way. T’charrl praised his mother highly and knew she was very strong, he felt it many times whenever she slapped him. He would be scared if he had to go up against his mother in battle even with his new strengths and powers. To have someone challenge his mother to a battle for supremacy would be against everything their culture and laws. “Well…i-if they ever have a problem with you, I’ll stand up for you too!” he nodded before raising his shoulders, “I mean…you can do it yourself! I’ll still be there to stand up for you…” T’charrl sure felt he was saying all the wrong things to please his mother, but he would definitely fight for her if anybody opposed her. If he could control himself he could be the strongest fighter on the planet even without his powers. “Don’t worry. It’ll be on my hide if they act out. I promise they’ll behave…” Giving his mother a smile he gasped when the sound of feet could be heard, turning immediately to the door and seeing Shu standing there. Smiling happily he quickly looked up to his mother before to Shu, pointing to an empty chair. “Hello! You can sit here if you want. Food is done!” Viral was angry at himself for all of these feelings that were haunting him, making him feel terrible for even being alive. He didn’t know why he was still alive when so many things should’ve killed him, yet there he was sitting staring into the ground as if expecting answers from it. If he was alone he would’ve died long ago, but it didn’t help that there was always going to be that seclusion he would feel even when around everyone. They were not going to be around forever and would eventually find interests and ‘Human desires’ elsewhere, at least if he lived that long. It was terrible to think he was going to die this early in his life as everything slowly enclosed upon him and overwhelmed him. Slowly reaching up and rubbing his head he didn’t take notice of Yumi as she decided to approach him, his eyes barely moving when she spoke up. Letting out a grunt he lowered his paw, scratching his face instead. “Thought you wanted to talk to Vegeta about whatever”, he muttered, keeping his eyes to the ground, “’Gossiping’ or whatever it is you lot do…”

Eslaria knew she was in power because of inheritance, not through an outright show of power. That wasn't to say she wasn't a capable warrior, because she was, but she wasn't going to delude herself into thinking she was unbeatable. That was one problem Garesh had, and he'd fallen quite hard as a result. Smiling at T'charrl she nodded her head in appreciation, "There's no one I would rather fight alongside, T'charrl," the Queen mused, glancing over at her husband, "Well, maybe both of you. We've never really had to fight, the three of us, and I hope that day never comes." Could they do it? Most certainly, the three of them were capable, more than any one of them on their own. For a fight to warrant all three of them to join in however couldn't imply anything good, so Eslaria sincerely hoped that need never arose. On another note it was a good thing that T'charrl was willing to take the blame for his friends should they act out, especially since they had arrived. Hearing the doors being pushed open the Queen looked across the room, smiling slightly seeing Shu standing there. Offering a small wave in return she chuckled, shaking her head as her son called his friends in. They weren't lacking for enthusiasm, that was for certain. This wasn't going to end well, Shu probably had no idea where he was going. If there was food to smell then Takeshi wasn't picking up on it, maybe because he wasn't used to sniffing out fruit. Seriously, the little guy could pick out a planet with fruit on it from space if he really wanted to, he just had a way of finding it. Maybe they should have an intervention for him, try getting him to eat something more. Not the time and the place for worrying about that, mostly because Takeshi was much too hungry to care at the moment; a platter of fruit actually sounded like heaven the closer they got to the meal itself. Surprisingly the route that Shu picked happened to be the right one, and they ended up getting to the dining hall in no short order. He came in a ways behind Shu, and Haku was even further behind still. Skidding to a halt at the door the older boy smiled exasperatedly, placing his hands on his knees as he let out a long winded sigh. "Hey there T'charrl! Told you we'd be back!" he announced happily, waving to their friend as well. With Shu being given a seat he assumed he could take one as well, going over for the chair beside where his brother would sit. Taking a seat down in his spot he smiled eagerly, rubbing his hands together as he did so. "Oh boy, food... What's on the menu?" "There is no menu, and normally people exchange greetings or say some sort of thanks before sitting at someone's table," Eslaria remarked, narrowing her eyes at a shirking Takeshi. Ah yes, he was the pigheaded one that she had some issue with before, how could she forget. Shu was odd but well behaved, and she knew nothing of this third boy. If he was a friend of T'charrl's then it didn't much matter, he was welcome as much as anyone else. Waiting for everyone to be seated she looked over at a pair of swinging doors, waving for a few cooks to bring in their meals they had prepared. One after another carts with numerous plates were brought in and delivered, placed before everyone sitting at the table. "I know you Saiyans enjoy meat, so I had some prepared for dinner. If it's not to your liking then there's plenty of other foods as well." Lids were then removed from the dishes, and a colorful array of different foods were presented to everyone. A lot of what they were serving wasn't what they would normally eat, but given this was a special occasion Eslaria saw no reason not to be a little exuberant. Placing her napkin in her lap the Queen smiled at her son, gesturing for him to take some food. "Since we're celebrating your coming home I think you should get food first, T'charrl. Take whatever you'd like." "I did talk to Vegeta, and now I want to talk with you, if that's alright," Yumi replied with a smile, "It wasn't really gossiping anyways, you really think he'd bother with that? He's way too anal to waste time on simple chatting." Maybe cracking a small joke at Vegeta's expense would lighten the mood some, it at least got a giggle out of her. Taking a seat on Viral's right side she looked at the ground curiously, craning her neck to the side slightly as she tried to figure out what Viral was looking at. It looked like a mini geyser almost, a small hole in the ground with some steam seeping out of it. Just by sitting where she was she could feel the warmth, albeit it was hard to appreciate it when all around them was plenty warm as it was. Even still Viral was fascinated with it somehow, so she'd not detract from that any. Crossing one leg over the other she leaned back, placing her hands behind her as she glanced up at the canopy above them. "Feels nice, don't you think? Just being out here in the woods, not having to be anywhere or doing anything."

Shu was pretty happy to find his friend and his family, giving his friend a happy wave before looking to his friend’s mother and father. “Hello! I am Shu!” he chirped happily before giggling, toddling over to the seat pointed out for him. He was quite happy to be in this position again where he was getting free food for doing nothing. Climbing onto the seat happily he looked to T’charrl’s parents before to T’charrl, smiling happily. “They no be far! I am excited for food”. He could barely contain his excitement but it wasn’t enough to have him bouncing around off the walls and all over the place. He knew when to sit still and was pretty happy to do so too, smiling happily as he stared at the table. Squeaking when Takeshi and Haku eventually entered he bounced a little on his chair, his eyes soon going to the carts with his eyes staring deep into the plates of food. If there wasn’t people around he would’ve ate straight off the plates. He was going to wait until it was okay for him to eat, hoping he didn’t end up insulting someone. There was no question T’charrl would stand up for his mother and father if they got in trouble, knowing he would risk losing his family if he didn’t try to protect them. He may have all sorts of abilities unlocked with Ki and what not but it was still going to be an honourable fight without using his obvious advantages. Feeling fairly happy when Shu arrived he invited him to sit to which Shu did fairly promptly, being strangely patient for a Saiyan like him. Giving him a smile, he let out a sigh before letting out a gasp as Takeshi and Haku arrived too, giving them a wave with his eyes going to his mother. He hoped they would behave without him having to say so, but as Takeshi decided to take a seat his head dropped into his shoulders slightly when his mother could only get annoyed at him already. He probably should’ve taught them table manners around his mother and father when they were in the palace. “Sorry, mother”, he nodded, raising his shoulders slightly, “I should’ve said something”. Feeling a little guilty he kept his head low before glancing to his mother, giving her a little smile before his eyes went to the food. He didn’t know he would get to choose first and had a sudden hunger rush go through his head, getting almost giddy before forcing himself to calm down. “Uhh, t-thank you, Mother! Thank you”, he spoke quickly before immediately reaching out to the plates, taking various portions with all four arms, filling up his plate pretty well compared to what he usually took. This was going to be great, especially when it was going to be his first proper meal upon arriving home. Viral thought he would be better being left alone but Yumi didn’t think so, especially when she was always around him making sure he was okay. He may never be okay but she deserved her own freedom away from him, especially when he was holding her back. “Then whatever the hell you naked apes do! I don’t care”, he grunted, not caring much when it came to what they might talk about together, “Your attention span really is non-existent, huh…” He couldn’t have much of a care when it came to why Yumi was here or what she was wanting from him, but all he wanted to do was try and clear his mind; however, he was quickly finding himself unable to do such a thing and was finding it hard to keep his mind off his inevitable negative thoughts. It was hard to keep away from those thoughts when everything he had been living up to was slowly starting to crumble around him. Staring at the small energy funnel he scratched at the soil with his claw, frowning to himself before his eyes slowly went to Yumi as she spoke up again. “…I’ve never had to be anywhere…or do anything”, he spoke calmly, looking away again, “I’ve had no purpose for my actions or where I go. It’s always been that way. Always the follower, never the leader”.

Shu was nearly hopping out of his skin over food, and if they didn't feed him soon he just might. By some miracle the little guy was actually settling down some at the table, even if he was still clearly not totally relaxed. Takeshi wasn't relaxed either, though that was mostly because he'd managed to upset the Queen within 10 seconds of showing up. Speaking of miracles it would be miraculous if he managed to get out of dinner without getting smacked by someone. Taking his spot beside his little brother Takeshi smiled apologetically, looking immediately to the food as it was brought out. Initially he wasn't all that enthusiastic, but hearing that some meats had been prepared for them made his eyes light up. Now it wasn't just Shu that was all giddy for supper, though both of them was going to have to wait for T'charrl to serve himself. Seemed fair enough, it was the guy's first night home after traveling around and all. Waiting patiently for T'charrl to get what he wanted Takeshi helped himself quickly to some meat, a few sides of fruit and what looked like some kind of bread. Satisfied with his arrangement of food he licked his lips eagerly, rubbing his hands together as he debated on what to start with. This was an awful lot of food, way more than Haku was used to seeing. Normally when in the Saiyan ships he got a single plate, and it wasn't typically as much as T'charrl had even. Even back on Earth he rarely had such a feast, now he was all excited at the chance to really chow down. Letting the others get their own helpings of food first he smiled eagerly, grabbing himself a mix of everything he could fit on his plate before figuring he should leave some for the others too. Glancing down the table he looked at the Queen curiously, averting his eyes as he bowed his head a little, "Uh... Thank you for the food, miss..." he mumbled, not wholly sure how to address her. If she was a stickler then she probably wanted to hear something along the lines of 'Your Majesty', yet when he looked back she seemed fine with just 'miss'. Relieved to be in the clear he figured it was okay to eat now, going first for an odd looking purple fruit. At least he thought it was a fruit; squishy to the touch and really smooth, it wasn't anything like he'd ever had before. Sniffing at it he took a tentative bite, eyes widening and lips puckering in surprise at finding it was quite tart. Not wanting to seem rude he wasn't going to spit it out, not that he was going to enjoy it. Swallowing back the morsel he shivered slightly, going for something else instead. Yumi stuck out her tongue childishly at Viral, letting out a light laugh after in response to his criticizing her. She certainly didn't take what he was saying to heart, not when she was sure it was his stress talking. So long as she maintained a positive attitude maybe some would rub off on Viral and improve his outlook, even if only marginally. This was such a nice change of pace for them, getting to do whatever they wanted with no sense of haste; Viral's condition warranted haste, but that aside they were free to do as they pleased. "Well... You're technically leading us now, aren't you?" Yumi asked, looking over to her friend with a smile, "You're deciding what the three of us do and we're coming along, so technically you're leading. And who's to say once you're healthy you won't be leading us places? I'd for one be happy to follow you." Yumi was going to get a little silly here, hoping that perhaps acting lighthearted might do some good for the Beastman. More likely than not he was only going to become confused or off put, but she wouldn't know until she tried. Sitting up straight she struck a casual-military pose, her hand straight over her brow as she adopted a serious expression. "Commander Viral, I would follow you to the edges of the universe, sir! I'll also gladly make you yummy food whenever we eat!"

Shu would’ve grabbed the food the moment it was sat at the table if he wasn’t concerned with embarrassing his friend, especially when he appeared to be so nervous. He could tell just by looking at his body language that something was wrong and where that was being directed to, the focus definitely being on his parents. Takeshi probably didn’t notice much when it came to T’charrl, but so long as he behaved everything should be okay. Waiting for T’charrl to get his food he almost bounced on the chair, smiling happily as he grabbed an assortment of food whether fruit or meat. He always found the fruit on this planet to have many unique flavours and textures yet they were always sweet in some way. Sweet was his favourite. Waiting a second as he looked around to see if everybody else was eating he soon started himself in delight, munching down the food as if table manners didn’t exist. “Yum yum yum! Yummy food!” T’charrl was definitely very hungry but he had to be careful about eating too fast or too much. He needed to get used to what he could handle and would probably stop when his mother and father came to a stop just incase. It was difficult trying to adjust again and he still wasn’t used to it. Eating the food carefully as to not rush it he smiled to his mother before down at his plate again, letting out a sigh. “It’s nice to be able to visit home…” he spoke calmly, shifting a little, “Not bad for first time living nearly independently, huh? Did you believe I could do it? It’s okay if you didn’t”. He didn’t know how his mother might feel about him having to struggle a lot on the way here but thankfully he had got back to normal just in time for coming home. It would’ve been awkward since nobody would be allowed to see him other than maybe his mother but while he was in hiding. He wasn’t feeling anything bad yet and hadn’t been all day, at least not having to struggle with any feral instincts. Viral was already getting annoyed at Yumi. It didn’t take long to get to that point and was almost wishing he was alone now. She sure did know when to be completely inappropriate and this was one of those instances. Letting out an annoyed growl he shook his head and looked away again, staring back into the funnel of energy. Yumi trying to justify him being a leader made very little sense to him as a whole, her idea of ‘leading’ being a whole lot different than what he meant. He didn’t lead them anywhere, they were merely following him to make sure he stayed sane and didn’t end up using his foot to scratch behind his ear and hiss at random shadows. Giving her a glance he soon let out a sigh, giving his head a shake as his sigh soon turned into a groan when she called him ‘Commander’. “The hell are you saying? What are you doing…” he groaned, slowly covering his face with his palms, “Is today the day you wish to kill me through verbal torture? That’s not what I meant…and nobody’s going to call me that again, anyway!” Letting out a sigh he lowered his paws, staring at them for a moment before to the funnel of energy. “I just…want to know what I’m supposed to be! I don’t have a clue, nobody has a clue. They all say ‘be what I want to be’ but it doesn’t make any sense! Was I just created to ‘look after Vegeta’ and expire when he was mature enough to look after himself? I don’t know…”

The food was really good as it turned out, at least the meats were. While he had meat on his plate Takeshi was almost reluctant to go for any of the fruit; there wasn't a whole ton of meat prepared though, so unless he was going to be selfish and take it all he'd have to share. One nice thing about waiting to take his food was that he could gauge the others' reactions and figure out just how some of the stuff might take. Not so much Shu, he was eating everything he could get his hands on, but maybe Haku. Glancing over casually at the other boy Takeshi had to cover his mouth to stifle a laugh seeing him try the purple fruit, making a mental note to avoid that. No problem, he'd just stick to everything else then! Sticking a slab of meat with his fork he popped it in its entirety into his mouth, smiling contently as he began chewing it up. Just to his side there was Shu munching away like no tomorrow, and he might well be saying something if he wasn't too focused on chowing down himself. Besides, if it was really bad the Queen would say something, maybe even hit Shu. An awful thing to wish on the little guy, but when you were the one always getting smacked and yelled at you almost wanted someone else to get it for a change. Maybe it wasn't the idyllic family meal, what with the Saiyans eating like they were borderline starving, but she was glad T'charrl was here nonetheless. In stark contrast to their young guests Eslaria was taking her time with her food, cutting it apart and chewing up bit by bit. It was delicious, yes, which mean all the more reason to slowly savor it rather than engorge oneself. If this was how those boys typically ate she shuddered to think just how much they might go through in a single sitting normally. Watching the three of them with a bit of curiosity for a moment she glanced over to T'charrl after a moment, smiling in his direction. "You made it back home, and you're better than you were so yes, not too bad. Considering what you probably went through while traveling I'd say you did an exceptional job my dear." Not only had the Prince left on less than savory standing but he'd done something no one of their race had ever done before, and he returned better for it. To say he was accomplished and well of all things considered was an understatement, it really was a monumental feat. "I have to ask, if it's alright, what was your favorite world to visit? What was it like?" Eslaria asked, smiling as she leaned forward slightly in her seat, "Your father and I have been trying to imagine what it was like, but I'm afraid we're not all that creative." Perhaps being a little silly wasn't the way to go about this. Viral wasn't appreciating the attempt at lighthearted conversation at all and almost seemed to even be getting fed up with it. Okay, maybe she'd be more serious, if only to keep from agitating her friend. "Do you not want people calling you commander? Or do you just think no one will?" Yumi asked curiously, tilting her head some, "I think you could be a commander if you really wanted to be. Maybe it would be for the rebellion, people I know you don't really like, but you'd have a position again. And once you feel all better I really can't imagine anything keeping Korian from offering you a position like that." Viral was a good fighter when healthy, and he had a mind for strategy. Someone like that was special, and it would help that he had experience fighting the Saiyans as well. The biggest problem really facing the Beastman in getting any kind of position would be his past with the rebels, and whether or not they were really open to him or not. Contemplating her friend's complaints for a moment Yumi pulled her knees up to her chest, laying her chin on them as she wrapped her arms around her legs. "What you want to be... Well it really is up to you," she reiterated, glancing at the vent of energy lazily. "Maybe at first you were made just to help with Vegeta, and maybe that part is over now. But that doesn't mean you can't find something else to do, and that something else can be whatever you want. It doesn't matter much where you came from, you're still your own person and the master of your own life." Looking at Viral she gave a warm smile, laughing briefly before gesturing to herself. "Of course, if you really want to I could always use some help! I'd love to have someone with me to kick butt with all the time."
