Mid-August, Malcolm's favorite season was fall. It was cool and crisp outside and the sun didn't shine much, so it made it easier for him to be outdoors. He enjoyed the fresh air, not so much the burning sun on his pale skin. Despite the false acclaims that vampires couldn't be out in the sun, he did. They could but only for a brief period of time before it would slowly start to burn the flesh of their skin. It was mid afternoon right now. He was dressed in black jeans and a white t-shirt with a v cut. He had on his black and white sneakers and his brown hair tousled. He had on black sunglasses and was laying outside. He'd been out here for about five minutes and decided it was time to go in, that and it was almost town for dinner.

The start of the semester had only just began. He spent summer vacation in the Arctics where it was always cold and the sun seemed to no exist. He had stayed with his uncle who was over five hundred years old there. He enjoyed himself, but now it was time to get back to the Academy. It was his second year and though he may not tell anyone, ever, he actually enjoyed being around other people like him. People who were different and wasn't human, other vampires like him that he could relate to.

Classes were to begin the following Morning, it was only Saturday afternoon. Malcolm headed to the wing where the donors lived. They each had their own personal room where they rested and even their own kitchen where a personal chef cooked them meals to keep their energy up and blood flowing through their delicious bodies.
Autumn had taken a walk to the woods. She stood in the middle and raised her hand, leaves flew around her. She giggled as a leaf ticked her cheek. This was her favorite thing about being a witch, was getting to do things like this. She preferred to use her powers on nature. She liked to raise water from a fountain, make leaves fly around and give a slight wind. It was relaxing and she enjoyed it. She lowered her hand and the leaves followed, they spiraled down and fell around her. She clapped and jumped.

It was cool outside so she was dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a beige sweater. Her blonde hair was down and she had on her black glasses. She usually wore contacts, but she lost the on her travel here so she was stuck with her glasses. She wasn't too fond of them, what guy would want a girl in glasses? None she had went to school with or had the pleasure of knowing. Autumn repeated the process, raising her hands and watched with glee as she leaves followed her hand up and swirled around her.

Lulu

Lulu gritted his teeth as he smiled and waved towards his parents as they left for their car. His room was all packed up now despite how much time his mother had managed to spend organizing it all. He'd have to fix that later.

He straightened once the car was out of sight and a true smile appeared on his lips. Finally, a chance to relax and be himself. His father was always so... intimidating. Chuckling, the dirty blonde, ruffled a hand through his hair and turned around to look at the campus. Striking blue eyes scanned the surrounding area, looking for anything interesting going on. Lulu wasn't one for waiting in his room for something to happen. No, he much preferred stumbling onto trouble all on his own, which he did quite well.

Being such a nice day out, Lulu had on his usual jeans, a long sleeve grey button up along with a suitable black vest and blue tie. The blue, according to his mother, complemented his eyes, whatever the hell that meant. In about an hour, if he didn't find anyone, he'd probably just go change into something more comfortable, mainly a suit. the vest wasn't really doing it for him...

A few minutes into looking around, Lulu noticed something weird about the forest. As windy as it was, that was a bit too much... wind. He blinked, narrowing his eyes to try and get a better look when he noticed someone moving around deep within the forest. Normally, one wouldn't be able to see that well, but being supernatural had it's perks. A smile on his face, Lulu ran over to the edge of the forest, and inspected a bit closer.

Taking his first few steps into the forest, he began to more clearly see the figure of a young blonde female. Lulu bit his lip slightly, grinning.

Time to make a move, Casanova. He told himself.

A few seconds later, after checking his breath, Lulu walked up to the girl (Autumn) proudly.

"Hey there." He greeted simply, putting on what he considered to be his most charming smile. Lifting an arm, Lulu attempted to lean against a tree only to fall when there was no tree next to him to lean on. He felt the painful shock of the twigs and rocks he fell on but quickly scrambled back to a standing position. He crossed his arms slowly, trying to ignore the pain he now felt on that side and gave the girl a bright smile.

"I'm... Lucas. Or as my sisters call me, Lulu." He explained, winking at her. The poor guy did all of this without knowing whether the girl had even heard him or not.

After a long journey by boat, and a tough journey across the land, Aldric finally arrived at the Supernatural Academy. He generally avoids running into people as he can not stand their stupidity and often ends up turning them into his undead lackey. This wasn't his most favored choice as it means the local authorities are looking for missing people, which causes unnecessary trouble for Aldric. As he gazed upon the school all he could think was, This is where I have traveled so far to reach? Not even my skeleton butchers deserve such a rundown living area! Hopefully the knowledge of the inhabitants is not as wretched as these buildings.

He made his way through the front doors to find the headmaster. He noticed students mingling and scurrying about. He wished to find the headmaster to hopefully work out a deal to have the greatest quarters, if there are such things in this place. Walking into the main hall he saw many students sitting around, studying, and chatting. "Peasants, which of you can take me to the headmaster? I have need of his services," yelled out Aldric. Hopefully these lowly creatures were of some use.

Isabella had walked through the forest for hours before she decided to approach the academy. It was unusual for the girl to be nervous for school, especially meeting new supernatural beings. She likes people, she enjoys their company and would love to make more friends at school but THAT made her nervous. Isabelle never noticed how nervous she was until she felt her hands tremble as she ran them through her red hair to brush away any stray locks of hair from her face. She exhaled softly, "It’s only school. I mean, it’s not school yet but.. I should at least check it out.” she said to herself, finding it rather easier to talk herself into calming down. She paused in the middle of the forest, slowly turning her head to see that she has been walking away from the school and not toward it. The anxiety of meeting new people made her cower into the forest. Feeling frustrated with her nervousness, Isabelle stomped her foot on the ground, exclaiming “I am not going to chicken out! I will march up to that school and say to anyone I see and make friends and move on with my day!”

Slowly standing up straight, Isabelle smiled to herself and smoothed down any wrinkles on her outfit. Instead of just walking back like she originally planned, she shifted into a large gray wolf mid-stride as she walked back to the school. The gray wolf stood over six feet tall, and her coat showed now unusual markings on it’s back, only natural colors that made her blend easily with the forest. The wolf sprinted through the forest, running closer and closer toward the academy and almost bouncing off from each tree to give it more speed. The wolf finally slowed down; she caught the scent of two other supernatural beings in the forest and emerged through the bushes where it’s golden eyes find two owners of the scent.

Mia

She'd been sitting in the main hall, minding her own business when she heard a loud bellowing voice that made her jump and spill all of the contents of her lap onto the floor... The only thing she was really worried about was her computer as she checked it over for any scuffs or cracks. Luckily, none such marks appeared.

With that out of the way the dark haired brunette turned glaring green eyes up at the figure the voice had come, prepared to yell at him,

"Hey, you scar-" from only to clam up when she took in the entirety of him. He was... huge and... intimidating. She straightened slightly, her eyes widening at the sight of him. The glowing blue eyes weren't helping Mia at all. In fact, she felt compelled to check her pants for wet stains right about now.

"P-Peasants?" Mia whispered, blinking at the nature of the being. What compelled her to do what she was about to do was beyond her but Mia suddenly stood from her chair, her computer once again falling to the floor. After realizing this, she quickly scrambled to pick it up again and put in on the seat delicately. Then, with a determined look in her eyes, she faced the demon... thing and pointed in the direction of where she assumed the 'Headmaster's' room was. She hoped to God she wasn't wrong because she wasn't really sure what this guy would do to here if she weren't.

Would he strangle her? Remove her heart? Gouge out her eyes? Cut her hands and feet off? The morbid thoughts only served to tense Mia up as she stood there pointing like a lunatic.

Footsteps and a voice behind Autumn startled her. She jumped and the leaves fell around her. She turned to be staring at a boy- a rather handsome boy- dressed in a vest. She watched with widened eyes as he said hey, then she giggled when he attempted to lean on an invisible tree and fall. She felt partially bad about it, but he was a cute awkward type- much like herself. "You're funny." She stated and blushed. Did she really just say that? Out loud, to him? Wow was she stupid or what. "OH, uh, I mean..." She stammered and put her hands behind her back, fiddling with her fingers nervously.

"I'm Autumn." She said, not looking at him. She felt her cheek burn with a blush. "Are you okay?" She asked and approached them. "Did you hurt your side?" She asked, concern etched on her face. She placed her hand on his side and a soft glow left the palm of the young witch and lit up his side. She had just recently practiced the art of healing. She had purposefully made marks on herself just to practice with her healing- and it worked. She was happy she was getting better and better at conrolling her powers every day.

Lulu

He felt his entire body go numb and hot as the girl turned to look at him.

Okay... So... She's prettier than I thought.

Pretty hot? More like a babe.

Shut up, will you?

All of this went on inside his head, not a single movement from his body. After a few seconds, he was going to say something else when he heard her voice.

"You're funny."

He blinked. It was like the world lit up around him. the words echoed in his mind and he lost himself for a moment. To her, it probably looked like he was simply staring at her, more than likely daydreaming. Which he wasn't. He just stood there, the words replaying in his head like a record.

"You're funny."

...

Her laugh... echoed in his mind. It was like a symphony of... he couldn't think of what it sounded like, it just sounded amazing. If she'd said anything past "You're funny," he wouldn't have known it.

Dude... Wake up.

He came to as he felt her hands at his side and then... A warm feeling exploded in his stomach. He jumped, shocked, and fell on his ass. After a few seconds of trying to comprehend what had just happened, Lulu pulled a hand up to rub the back of his neck and chuckled.

"M-Maybe you should do that anymore." He told her, laughing at himself. "It's not everyday you get healed by a pretty lady." He continued, his face turning beet red.

#FLAWLESS.

Dork.

ARGH!!

"M-May I ask for th-" Just as he was about to ask for her name, Lulu smelled something. Turning, he noticed her. A large grey she-wolf with large golden eyes. Narrowing his eyes, Lulu stood slowly and took a step towards the pretty lady, getting in-between her and the beast. He didn't know exactly what she was exactly and the sheer size of her sent shivers of fear down his spine. Not to mention... The smell of her blood. It was enough to drive him crazy. So much blood... strong... rich blood... His eyes dilated and he swallowed, trying his best to keep his instincts at bay.

Autumn smiled at his compliment. "I'm not that pretty..." She said, suddenly feeling self conscious especially due to these stupid glasses. Man, she needed to get replacement contacts and soon. He was cute and dorky, just about his type. She liked cute and dorky. "Uhm..." She mumbled, not sure what really to say next. She felt awkward just standing here. Was he okay? He seemed to zone out- then that's when she realized they weren't alone. She usually kept her guard up, but she had let it down talking to this boy, why? She was usually so cautious.

"No, she's okay. I can tell." Autumn said, stepping back in front of Lulu. "Hello." She greeted, bowing her head. "I'm Autumn, and this is Lulu." She said, pointing to the boy behind her. It was a werewolf, or a shewolf more like it, but from her aura Autumn could tell she was kind and not a bad person. She kept her posture and smiled to the shewolf. Her colors were beautiful and she seemed beautiful herself. "Do you go to the Academy?" Autumn asked.

The she wolf paused in front of the two and immediately sensed that the male turned out to be a vampire, the hackles on her back rises at the sight of the vampire. A race that did not take the werewolves too kindly but she would not let their ancestor’s rivalry spark her anger. She lowered her head, the first sign of submissiveness and hopefully a sign to let the vampire know that she meant no harm in crossing paths with him. Her eyes never left the two as slowly moved away from the vampire and his companion.

Isabelle shifts back to her human form; her arms raised up in the air as if she were surrendering. “Don’t bite! Don’t bite!” She yelps, slowly inching away from the vampire. She glances over at the With he was with then lets out a soft sigh of relief. Maybe she can help me. Isabelle thought to herself. She gulps, finally mustering up the courage to say “L-Listen, I’m not going to hurt you guys. I.. I um.. I just wanted to say hi, just tell him to chill out...!” She asked the Witch, hopefully she can ease the tension between the wolf and the vampire.

Lulu

Lulu blinked, watching the pretty lady step out in front of him and say something about how the wolf wasn't dangerous. Just as he was about to argue that point, the damn thing changed into a girl and started talking.

Lulu... blinked yet again, trying to make sense of everything. So... This girl was some kind of healer... and the other was a werewolf? He should have known from her scent, but for some reason he just couldn't pick it up very well. Probably the wind.

With a sigh, Lulu poked his head out from behind the pretty lady, who introduced herself as Autumn. "Sorry. I just... couldn't smell you very well. The draft, yanno?" He explained, chuckling a bit awkwardly. He still had to suppress the urge to rush up and bite the wolf's neck, though it was a bit easier now that she'd changed forms. Maybe that was what he should call her... Wolf. He chuckled to himself again and shook the idea away. She probably wouldn't appreciate that.

He eyed Autumn then Wolf and then turned back to Autumn. He was in a pretty girl sandwich. If he didn't know any better, he'd say he were dreaming.

"So... uh... What do we do now?" Lulu asked, feeling a bit... awkward about now. His eyes shifted from side to side, trying desperately to find some way of keeping a form of conversation going. "I'm... uh... guessing we all go to the academy?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck again. He felt his stomach rumble out of the blue, a loud noise that echoed through the forested area they were in.

"Ack!" He called out, his hands coming up to grasp his stomach. Chuckling awkwardly, he explained to the girls, "It seems as though my stomach is angry with me. I... uh..."

How to put this delicately.

How about, if we don't go soon, I might end up breaking my oath and biting Wolf.

That won't go over very well, dumbass.

"I'm... uh... rather... parched." He spoke finally, hoping that they understood the message. "I need to head back to my room and get something in my system." He explained, grinning a bit. He felt... really awkward now. Which brought him to another point...

Why had Autumn not done this to him? He hadn't realized how thirsty he was until this she-wolf came out of the blue. It was like her being around him made him thirsty. Plus it probably didn't help that he hadn't spent much time around werewolves. His uncle had never liked them much and therefore had never socialized with them.

Autumn stared awkwardly between Lulu and the wolf girl With being a witch, their scent was masked by a spell. She had to make sure it masked or she'd be bait for vampires. A witch's blood was rich and intoxicating to vampires, or so she heard. Autumn never chanced it. When he asked what they should do now, she shook her head and pushed her glasses up her nose. "You two can go ahead. I'm going to.. er, stay and practice..." Autumn said softly as she stepped from them. It was clear there was some sort of intense attraction between the two, so she left them be.

When her back was to them, she frowned. She needed to clear her thoughts. Of course someone who looked like him would go for a beautiful girl like who. She was flawless, and here she was. Dorky and awkward. Sighing, Autumn lifted both arms as leaves circled her. She began to do something a little different and made shapes in the air with the crunchy leaves. She hadn't really had a boyfriend so she wasn't sure how to talk to boys, so maybe it was her who screwed this up. Oh well, he was better off not being around her anyways.

She still wasn't in complete control of her powers so when she got angry she still could do some damage and become dangerous, which is why she tried to keep her anger in check most of the time.

August..... even as the sun's blistering rays basked and sizzled against her pale, ghostly complexion, the girl couldn't help but feel no warmth at all piercing her frail skin....skin marred with several cuts, several red and black scars, the grisly results of her claws scraping across the fragile flesh, the searing...hellish agony giving her some sort of release, some sort of comfort as the blood trickled down her arms and fell from her slender fingertips. She covered the scars with the sleeves of her black hoodie and pulled the hood over her head, concealing her tired, bloodshot eyes, ugly streaks of red bristling around an orb of emerald green like crimson lightning, thick, black chasms weighing deep under her eyelids as a result from countless nights left awake lamenting and trapped in lachrymose. "Another year....." She whispered to herself. "Another....fucking.....year....." With a solitary stream of tears quietly seeping from her left eye, Liz sighed deep and mournfully, basking a glance downward unto the school campus as a soft breeze graced her cheeks. She couldn't feel anything....no warmth....no solace.. All Liz felt inside....was cold...empty....lifeless...

She stood atop the academy's belfry with only one intention left in her mind as her chosen epitaph sounded through the black and red earbuds she had stuffed in her ears, her mp3 player nestled in the front pocket of her hoodie. One more sigh escaped her shivering lungs and exhaled into the Autumn air past her quivering, pierced lips. She was going to do it..... Maybe this time....it would work.

"Things not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel

Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now she's gone"

She prepared herself, taking slow, gradual steps towards the razor end of the ledge, again glancing down to what would meet her at the end....the cold, hard ground. Liz inhaled, taking as much air in as her lungs allowed her in this dreadful...final moment. "Here goes....." She whispered. "Maybe this time.....it will work."

'No one but me can save myself, but it's too late
Now I can't think, think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye"

3....2.....1..... With a mental countdown, Liz counted away the ultimate seconds of her fate and closed her eyes softly before......her foot met with nothing but air as she stepped off and began her violent descent towards demise, not fearing it but.....welcoming it.....greeting it onward with the intention of death to finally take her....finally rid her of this disgusting existence....and ferry her elsewhere, perhaps to those dark reaches where she knew her mother awaited her. The wind howled ferocious in her ears as her body plummeted from such a steep height, time seeming to stagger and stagger as Liz moved closer and closer to hitting the ground with full terminal velocity, enough to shatter every bone in her body, enough to liquidize her organs and spew them all over the fucking ground, but she wanted it...no she NEEDED it! But....at the last second before her face even met with the grass and the gravel, Liz's eyes snapped open and she was jerked upwards by a force of flames shooting from her back, the flames forming into a pair of badly burned wings with feathers as black as ravens of a cemetery. Gently, Liz's wings flapped, and rather than smash face first into the unforgiving soil.....she descended gracefully and fell unto her knees in a painful but quiet fit of sobs. "Fuck.......fuck.......why? Why can't I..........? FUCK!!" Bitterly she buried her fist into the tear-stained ground below her knees and struggled to stand on her two buckling legs. She failed....again.... Why did she even bother to end her life anymore?

He found the darkness peaceful. A place he could concentrate and have no worries of showing his true form. Within the forest was a small cave that delve into the depths of the Earth, this place became his favorite of spots to go to when having nothing better to do. He hardly had anyone he could call a friend so he was accustomed being on his own, especially after the years he had been alive. While the humans he had studied seemed to see a long life as being a century, he merely viewed is as a brief period of time that fluttered by.

While the cave was a nice place to go and practice his abilities along with trying to unlock the knowledge of where he came from, his true home was the school that the forest resided near. Though the school was filled with what would be called his kind, he still felt somewhat out of place amongst them, while the others knew at least what they were and where they might of come from, he had no true knowledge of what he was or where he came from. The only pieces he found that could give some identity to what he was were the odd tales of angels and demons, yet which one was he? In the end he decided to say he was a bit of both and leave it at that.

A new semester was coming soon and despite his summer away from the school, which involved mostly remaining in the endless abyss of tunnels of the cave system below or trying to grasp some new human concept that seemed to appear every few decades, he knew his time in the darkness was at an end for the time. He left the cave that he called his temporary home and shortly came onto the school grounds, still within his true form. His figure was odd, consisting of two wings that seemed to have odd forms of feathers. A cloak covered most of his torso and legs but his arms and feet could still be seen, showing a odd blue color with whitish silver veins coursing along them. While most people would only have two arms though, he had four, another set protruding just above where normal beings had arms. His face was hidden within the shadows of his cloak never to be viewed by the outside world yet occasionally the brief flicker of a glint suggesting eyes were within the cloak showing he must have a face of some kind.

What greeted him on his return was something that always made him curious. Once again it seemed that the one called Liz was trying to commit what the humans called suicide. At least that was what he assumed. He had seen her do it before but never stopped her really because he had very little knowledge on how to socialize plus she never seemed to be in a mood to actually speak towards anyone and assumed that like he, she preferred to be alone. Yet despite how she seemed to have an aura that pushed others away, Sealameet did actually admire her and felt sorry for her. She was unique and beautiful for what she was as he saw it, why would she wish such an untimely end of her life? If he could actually work the nerve and speak to her perhaps he could get an answer but for now he merely walked towards the school.

Aldric saw as a young woman stood up and pointed towards a door. No words. His first thoughts of her were that she was commanding and straight forward. "Madame! What is your name?" he asked. He understood that it would be best to have "friends" who weren't his undead minions in a place like this. Before she could answer, he bounded towards and stopped in front of her. "I am Aldric, The King of all these dead and undead. Come with me and I will share today's bounty from the headmaster with you," he said as he stretched out his hand towards her. I must get to know this person. Having a commander will be necessary for my future plans, thought Aldric.

Mia

A small squeak escaped from Mia's mouth as the demon... thing spoke to her, asking for her name.

"Mi-" She jumped back as he came closer to her, her eyes round and wide with fear. She felt the soft cushion of the chair behind her as she fell back but soon bounded back as she tried standing as tall as she could manage against this... thing.

"I am Aldric, The King of all these dead and undead. Come with me and I will share today's bounty from the headmaster with you,"

She felt herself stiffen as he spoke to her. Bounty? King? Undead? What kind of crap was this Aldric... thing spewing? She had to fight very hard not to change forms right now. It probably wouldn't do much for her situation right now.

"I-I'm Emilia... Or... Mia if you'd like." She told him, eyeing him without moving her head. "What... bounty are you talking about?" Mia asked, trying not to look the guy... thing... in the eyes. She also needed to stop referring to him as thing... It probably wasn't polite. Should... she call him King? If she thought about it, it kind of made him seem less... intimidating in a way. This way, she could stop thinking about the fact that he scared the living daylights out of her and think about how silly it was calling him King.

"Can I just... call you King instead? Seems like a fitting title for one such as yourself." She asked him, trying her best to play along with his game, whatever the hell it was.

Aldric sensed that his appearance might have spooked Emilia by the way her voice was caught midway between stuttering and trembling. Even so, something about it piqued his interest.

He took a step back, deciding to be polite, and responded, "Greetings, Emilia. It is pleasant to know at least one of you here is respectable." He enjoyed being called King and told that it was, "a fitting title. "I will gladly accept being referred to as King, madame. Before discussing the treasures of the day, I wish to know the one I work with;" Aldric had remembered that this was a school for supernatural beings. His earlier thoughts of needing a commander returned.

"As for me, I have lived for many Eons, the only lich to have walked this earth. If not, the only one of us who matters. I have survived the rise and fall of all great nations, obtaining and collecting the knowledge of them all, much that has been lost to the world today." He pulled up a nearby couch to rest on as he stared deeply into her green eyes awaiting her response.

If he could actually work the nerve and speak to her perhaps he could get an answer but for now he merely walked towards the school.

Through the blurriness of her tears, not a whole lot was able to be made out in crystal clarity, just a bunch of bizarre and convoluted shapes amalgamating with one another into this indiscernible mass of colors, yet a few of the colors stood out to Liz, familiar shades of blues and whites that seemed to form a stray figure casually passing just a few feet from where she would've nearly crashed into the ground. She wiped her eyes with the side of her hand, and in that instant everything returned to her clear, even the figure. She had known that somewhere in this school, there were others like her, the mixed breeds known either as Fallen or Nephilim, Fallen usually being the male determinant. Liz hadn't actually known, but she knew of the Fallen called Sealameet. In ways, he was just like her, a loner, an outcast, an asocial creature that chose not to associate with anyone or anything of this academy. He was always so mysterious to Liz, her sometimes pondering upon what his true face resembled, the face he always hid behind some cryptic illusion or in the thick, obsidian shadows of his hood. Sometimes....Liz herself wanted to approach him, wanted to speak to him, perhaps wanting to know who her fellow Fallen was.....perhaps......to gain a companion she could find some solace in.

But nine times out of ten, she was dissuaded from even pursuing some kind of inquiry of Sealameet, held back by such damning fears. What if he was just like them? What if he too rejected her? What if he wasn't interested at all? These assumptions, they would turn her course away from the Fallen and back to their own accords, back to Liz exiling herself from the rest of the school and finding some place to hide, usually the academy's music room where she would draw in her sketchbook or fiddle with the grand piano that sat perched beside the large bay window overlooking the surrounding forests. Hell, she always felt safer alone.....just never understanding why. With a debilitating glower darkening her eyes, Liz breathed quietly and fished from the pocket of her hoodie a small red pack, surprised it didn't fall out in yet...another failed attempt on her own life. She ripped open the pack with one of her sharp claws and pulled from it a cigarette, shoving it in her mouth and clenching it between her lips. She had no lighter, but that didn't hinder her at all, for she raised her hand to the bent cig in her mouth and soon it ignited into flames lighting the cancer stick. Liz took a drag of it and into the cool breeze of nearing autumn she exhaled a phantom wisp of white smoke before realizing, "Shit!" She left her bag atop the belfry. Again her tattered wings flourished from her back and to the air she took, landing with both feet once more upon the spot she had fallen from deliberately. She snatched up her black messenger bag, adorned with a few buttons and key chains and only containing a few books, most notably her sketchbook, and again flew back down to the earth below, dismissing her wings once she was mere inches from landing.

Yep. He's weird.

Though, it was nice of him to... take step back and address her with her full name, though a bit... formal and stiff.

"As for me, I have lived for many Eons, the only lich to have walked this earth. If not, the only one of us who matters. I have survived the rise and fall of all great nations, obtaining and collecting the knowledge of them all, much that has been lost to the world today." He explained, taking a seat on a nearby couch.

Mia blinked, her eyes following him. Though her fear was still prevalent, the comical value of how serious this guy was made it a lot less... severe. She smiled, a big toothy grin that forced her eyes shut before replying to him.

"Well... I can turn into a cat. And other creatures... if that's even useful at all." She spoke, shrugging her shoulders as if it meant nothing to her. Which, it really didn't at this point. In a school like this, she was probably one of the most normal ones despite having been alienated at all previous establishments. Still, she'd rather she had her brother's gene and that he were the one sitting here talking to Mr. Lich King.

"But... Wow! That's a really extensive resume you've got there, King." She continued, chuckling to herself. "I can't imagine all the crap you've seen through your lifetime." She added, her features softening a bit as the realization came to her that he must be this way because of years of living in this crap hole. Not exactly the best place to spend your time if you have other choices, she imagined. Then again, she wasn't one to talk. Compared to him, her world must be so tiny and microscopic.

But... why was she getting so philosophical all the sudden? "I guess... if you really want to know me..." She began, after thinking a moment...

"My full name is Emilia Rayn Mitchel. I'm 18 years old, much younger than yourself I imagine, and I'm a shapeshifter." She explained, looking up at him. It was the eyes, man. The eyes threw her off. It would be much easier if he actually looked kind of human, but no. He looked like some demon antagonist from one of her fantasy novels she always read.

"The form I most often take is what one would call the 'Common House Cat', not to be confused with their bigger... more anger counterparts. Of course, I can shift into them too but... it's kind of useless in this kind of environment to be this huge beast, taking up all the space. Besides, it makes me look fat..." Sh rambled, her eyes averted to look over at the floor. While she waited for King to respond, she walked over to where she'd been sitting and gathered up her things, putting them all in her large green purse before slinging it over her shoulder and walking back over to stand in front of him again.

"But yeah, just call me Mia." She finished, her hands held behind her back.

Aldric stood up to face her, towering at least two feet over her.

"But... Wow! That's a really extensive resume you've got there, King." She continued, chuckling to herself. "I can't imagine all the crap you've seen through your lifetime."

"Do not use sarcasm on me, Emilia," he resounded in a deep tone. It's not very often I find someone with the bravery to act like that towards me. Mia is much stronger than she lets off to be, thought Aldric, having only seen her rough exterior she puts on. "I admire your will to stand up to me, but do not get in the habit of it," he said while glaring into her eyes. "Come with me to the headmaster's office."

He turned to walk towards the office. He noticed her body language and the way she acted, and had become very interested in her. A shapeshifter, huh. I have not had the pleasure. It seems quite useful, Aldric thought. He turned his head towards Emilia to speak. "I know what a house cat is, Mia. I have been around thousands of years longer than you, do not think this knowledge would have escaped me," he said in a demeaning tone. "I do believe that the lion, king, or queen in your case, of the jungle, is much more fitting for a woman of your stature," he stated softening his voice. He had begun to admire her, which was a rare thing for Aldric, the King.

Rather half hearted, Liz flung open the doors to the Supernatural Academy and trudged inside lugging her bag and the crushing weight of remorse bearing down on her physical and mental well-being. She paid not a single mind to any of the students surrounding her, grimacing inside at their jovial chattering and fanciful laughter. Ugh....why were they all so fucking chipper? She sighed taking another drag of her smoke, noticing on the far end of the corner that one chick, the shape shifting girl who always turned into a cat....one of Liz's favorite animals..., talking away with some really tall guy who, in Liz's honest opinion, looked like he crawled out of a grave. He even reeked of graveyard rot, a pungent and stomach churning odor that was only masked slightly by the scent of Liz's menthol cigarette. Breathing out more smoke, Liz nonchalantly snuffed out her cig on the tile floor and made her way past the two. They were all so damn happy. Why couldn't she be like that?

She pushed her way through the throngs of giggling bastards, carelessly knocking a few down in her haste to escape the maelstrom of good feelings, feelings Liz considered she never deserved to have, and also to escape the main lobby. Her boots clacked down the hallway as her pace quickened, just to get away from all of them....all those people she would rather not associate with. Just to occupy her mind, she kept reading off the room numbers inside, 302.....303.....304.... Till finally, 305...... Sanctuary at last. Liz couldn't throw herself into the room fast enough, slamming the door behind her with an echo that ricocheted off the cold stone walls of the empty classroom. Room 305, the music room, it was a bit larger compared to the other classrooms, with a chalkboard that stretched wall to wall and a big open space in the middle where sat chairs arranged in a large circle. On the far side of the room, next to the intricately and beautifully carved stained glass window that lit the room in so many bright and mysterious colors stood a polished grand piano. For once, a small...rather wry smile inched its way across Liz's lips as her bag slipped from her shoulder and fell to the floor with a soft thud. She positioned herself behind the elegant instrument, stretching her rather slender arms and her dainty fingers towards the ivory keys. First, she sounded a few notes, looking for the right few to conduct the melody that resonated within her head before finally her fingers went to work translating that particular melody out into the open air. Gracefully her fingers danced about the keys, each note that played culminating with the others until Liz's masterpiece was constructed arpeggio by arpeggio. The melody.....it was more of a requiem, dark, haunting, melancholic, but absolutely beautiful and such a sweet, sweet sound that echoed through Liz's ears as she resumed playing, but as she did so....she could feel her eyes growing hot and her vision becoming blurred.... This very melody she played.....it was.....her mother's favorite.... "Mom......" She whispered amidst the notes, before giving a final decrescendo and finishing her requiem with a faint, fading low note.....
