Monday 08-17-2015 I will start accepting characters for evaluation. @Rilla Will provide me the list of the top 8-10 and I will send a group message to everyone to gauge interest in participation.

On Monday 08-31-2015 I will start the tournament with the match-ups and arenas set for each pairing.

This seems like a pretty cool image for my character even if she forgot to put on pants. I've come up with the basics of her backstory and personality.

Well that sucks. I was really hoping to join in on this one, and I know my fight with yoshua171 won't finish in time.

Yep. I am not in so we need one. But thus far the characters I have seen look good. Some clarifications will be required but so far impressive.

In theory, if you can finish and win, you can join.

Otherwise, Skallagrim can choose a placement.

Alright, I have contacted the people on Rilla's list. SgtEasy will not be joining this tourney so there are two spots open and need to be filled. I will get names from @Rilla officially and send them a message to check interest. I need those who want to participate, @LeeRoy, @ImportantNobody, @DjAtomika, @Vordak and @yoshua171 to PM characters that fit the parameters established in the rules. If the alternates do not want to participate I will review our options with Rilla and go from there.

I already have an idea on who'd I'd like to enter with. If you want someone to fill a spot that's open anyway. Assuming you'll have me. Which you probably won't. :K

I thought up my character's powers. I don't recal anyone using crystal related magic here. She's from a race of humans who has different body manipulation techniques and her's is to generate and control crystal structures, but she can only form certain shapes she's familiar with so she can't just be creating any convenient object. We are at a decent power level but a "create any shape desired" part of an attack seems a tad op.

So far I am really liking the characters submitted. I will be pming those accepted by the middle of next week. If I ask for a tweak it may be Monday, but so far I haven't really found anything screaming NO!!!!!. If I have already pm'd you please get me a character by no later than Wednesday so i can look it over before I start to work out brackets and battlefields.

I have some questions.

Is it possible to know about this tournament before hand? I.E choose to go there?

Is it possible to bring NPC's like WOTW. Great for RP potential there.

Is there post battle healing?

Can we watch others contestants battle like the Viewing screens in WOTW?

Is sabotage a thing in this?

Yeah I'd love to see a fleshed out lobby like WOTW, definitely a must-have for character development.

I didn't want to start reading the IC until I was at least accepted.

I never really asked if there was a lobby, that seemed obvious at least. Else it would be a very odd tournament. Though I do wonder if there's a cafeteria now. Also I was more wondering if healing is done in a chamber or something like in WOTW or if you just heal magically or something(I'll assume that includes regeneration- and weapon loss replacement?). What about the NPC thing?

And is it possible to steal your way in to an invitation? Like take it from someone else?

Melon asked about a lobby. You can heal yourself or allow the area to heal you. Either option is open since I just said healing but nothing specific. No you can't steal an invite.
