It was late at night, and Robin couldn't quite determine when exactly it was, since she'd been forced out of bed by Batman's calling and didn't have time to look at the clock to see when exactly it was, all she knew was that she had to get suited up and leave, as soon as possible, because someone had broken into her father's oh-so popular business, Wayne Enterprises. The knowledge that Bats had given her was brief, but he knew she'd understand. There were a small group of guys and apparently one woman, who had snuck in unnoticed and taken a woman hostage who worked there in her office. They were after some sort of files that belonged to Bruce, something he didn't want to get out, obviously. She knew her mission. Get in, get the hostage out, keep the files in, and make sure the group is tied up and ready for the cops whenever they showed up. Nothing she hadn't dealt with before.

Robin gently swung from the building she was atop into Wayne Enterprises, situating herself on the wall by a window, which she pushed open silently with ease. It all seemed easy enough, and she'd thought nothing of the mission herself. But what she didn't know, was that she wouldn't be doing it alone. None of the kids knew it yet, but it was a simple test from Batman. A test of how they worked together, how they managed as a team, without adult supervision. He'd had all of their mentors send them out late, saying they were busy with their own assignments and couldn't currently deal with the one at hand. And Batman certainly wouldn't make it easy for them, but maybe, just maybe they had a chance...

Shutting the window, she looked through the empty office and headed for the door, trying to be as quiet and cautious as possible, using her small wrist sensors to scan the area... And three red dots had shown up to the west, while two of them had shown just ahead of her... At least they weren't far away. But it was strange, she saw others suddenly show up, too... were there more? She really didn't want to deal with any more than she had to.

"A simple mission, no more?" He had asked his mom, she assured him, simple, two or three guys tops. A favor for the bats, she said. And yet, here he was, standing in the middle of a nondescript Wayne Enterprises building floor. With his two pals next to him tracking intently. Sniffer, true to name, was sniffing out the enemies and relaying locations to Clarence, he wanted to find all the enemies before he struck. Rasubosu, on the other hand, was making a racket with intensifying growls. "What is it?" He asked, speaking in barks and yips with a little bit of body language. "Somethings wrong, I feel it." The little fighting dog said, still growling. "Don't worry 'bout it." Sniffer said, sniffing at the air. "We're gettin close!" Sniffer said, perking up a little bit. Clarence smiled, finally a battle. "Time to unwind." "erif ll-" He was stopped by a tiny set of teeth on his ankle, "Hey what the hell!?" He asked, "People are showing up like crazy!" Sniffer said urgently, which was a little out of character. "Friend or foe, I don't know.." He said, back to his normal self. "Just wait." Sniffer relayed.

A little solo job to work for the big bad Bat. That's what ran through Kid Flash's head as he ran from Central city to Gotham and straight to Wayne enterprises. The kid let out a whistle and smirked. "Alright. Time to bust a few heads and show the what I..." He stopped when he saw something or rather someone swing into the building. "Oh this is gonna be fun." He said as he sped up the wall and into the building. He's memorized the position of his friend and didn't waste any time in getting to her.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" He asked in a low voice imitating a thug as he hugged Xavier from behind making sure not to touch her anywhere he might get killed for touching. He was pretty sure she wouldn't get scared. Maybe, Still he couldn't resist greeting her in a way that wasn't normal. "So what's my favorite little bird doing here? Couldn't resist the chance to hang out with the awesomeness that is me?" He kept his voice low as he spoke to her.

She had learned easily to recognize voices, even ones people attempted to "mask". It was still very clear who the voice belonged to, though, and it didn't scare her one bit. How could it? It belonged to the same young speedster she'd wound up on missions with so many times before. This time, though... he wasn't really supposed to be here. "I could ask you the same question, mysterious voice." Turning her head only a little to look at him, she put a smile on her face and continued to look through her computer... Three hot spots getting closer to them... Apparently, either their enemies were mobile... or someone else. "I'm here on a solo mission for the Bats. Gotta free the hostage if there is one and make sure nobody gets away with any important paperwork. Bats didn't tell me I'd be having company though, threw me off a bit. What are you doing here? Going for a jog in full costume? Trying to impress a girl? Sleep running? Fridge empty? Or you just missed me?"

Kid Flash chuckled a bit quietly hearing her speak. "That's funny. I mean of course I missed you. But I'm here on a solo mission. My mom and dad told me I should handle it cause they were busy with the bat on official League business." He said calmly holding her calmly. "But it's great to have a babe like you at my side. That just means this'll be a lot easier." He said before giving her a small playful kiss on the cheek. "Plus. I might not have been have trying to impress a girl earlier, but I will be now." He added cheerfully as he let go of her and stretched out a bit preparing to head in. He was also thinking up a plan. A good one at that. "We play this right and I can get the hostage out while you go all stealth on the baddies." He suggested. :Or you can get the hostage out while I distract the baddies." He then said calmly. It was a team decision right? At least like this things could get done a bit quicker.

The ground and nearly everything was covered in a thick layer of snow and crunched softly each time someone were to step on it, Super girl was behind both Robin and Kid she was watching Kid and Robin flirt with one another, she was trying to be stealthy and not ruin their cover," So uhh, you both trying to save the day or make a date because I could save everyone and while you both do it and tell bats about this." Karen told them, she wasn't trying to be a pain, but she didn't want to listen to the two flirt during the whole rescue." Wait doesn't Wayne tech have some type of program to handle this ?"

"Aw come on Supergirl. We're just having a little fun while we work." Kid Flash said before stopping. "Wait... First Robin, Now you... What's going..." He stopped when he felt something bind him. "Woah... Seriously... What's going o~" He stopped and made a gurgling noise when the water rushed over him. When the flow stopped he spit out some of the water which had gotten into his mouth and sighed. "Gee... Backwards words and weird things happening... I wonder who else has joined us." He said in a somewhat monotone voice. He didn't enjoy being bound and the water didn't help.

"So all four of us are here right now." Kid Flash said thinking a little despite his annoyance at being doused with water. "Either none of the higher ups knew they were sending us at the same time or we're being tested." He said thinking logically. "I've already got a reworked plan if you three are up for it." He then said not wanting to dwell on the water. He'd bring it up later though. He was sure Clarence knew that.

Super girl held her breath while the water blaster over her, Robin, and Kid Flash, when Kid was bringing up how they were showing up one by one, this made something pop into Super girl's head," Yeah this is either two things from what I can guess. Either this is a trap set up by a smart super villain, or this is a test to show team work. I think Zatara or Zatanna has just arrived to help us out on this rescue op." Super girl looked down to the water's remnants and thought about Kid running on this floor while the floor was wet." Nope you should head to a different floor or try not to run, you will slip and fall, leaving us to save your butt." Super girl said to Kid.

Jumping out of the way quickly, letting Nathan's words fade from her mind in an instant, she looked down from the bar on the ceiling she'd planted herself on to survey what had just occurred. It was natural for her to jump out of the way, since she'd been caught off guard, which she mentally cursed herself for. Plus, it was better to be dry than wet. "Clarence..." She muttered, dropping from the ceiling and landing on her feet with a small, quiet splash, considering the thin layer of water on the floor. "Dude, what the hell." Robin opened her computer once again. "You attracted their attention." The three dots in the distance were moving closer. "We can pretend it was just a pipe bursting, if we get out of here. KF, you won't be able to run on this... You'll come with me." She wrapped her arm around his and turned to Supergirl. "Supergirl, I doubt they'd show up if it was intended to be a solo mission, no matter if all of us are here. If it's a test from Batman, they really wouldn't. If it was an emergency, they'd radio us. So until we know for sure we assume we're in it alone. Find a place to hide, and hurry up, before they see you." She made sure she had a tight grip on Nathan before she used her gear to lift them to the bars on the ceiling, pulling him up with little effort. She knelt on the bar, making sure her cape didn't dangle and they were hidden from sight. "Make sure to look at their faces, in case it's anyone we've dealt with before."

KF sighed. It wasn't like the water would make him utterly useless. Still he liked this set up. "Be honest. You just wanted to be lone with me again didn't you?" He asked with a small smirk. Of course that wasn't the case, but a guy could dream. "Don't you think we should save that type of thing at least until after we've gone on a few dates?" He asked keeping his voice in a low whisper. "Or at least until the other two aren't here?" He paused. 'Unless you want them involved." He joked a bit watching the men below. His photographic memory kicked in. "Hmmm... It's a little dark. Can't get a good read on 'em." He said almost instantly switching into hero mode. Who were they? What could they do? He was sure if the small team worked together properly this could blow over pretty well.

" No thanks I'm not the hiding type Robin." Super girl told Robin and Kid flash.the trio of guys that were coming had caught Super girl by surprised, two of the guys aimed down to her, Super girl shot her heat vision at the two guy's weapons making them drop their weapons. The third guy sprinted towards Super girl; he was planning on bashing her in the face with the butt stock of his gun, but right when he had gotten close enough to her she grabbed the gun and tossed it to the floor, Super girl picked up the guy and threw him to his two buddies that dropped her guns.

Clarence quickly hid in a nearby supply closet when Robin called it out. At the first sign of fighting he came out and saw that Supergirl had handled it. "Good job." He said to her. "Now let's keep moving." He said enthusiastically. He looked at the group, 'Yeah, Robin, Kid Flash, and Supergirl... Defiantly a test.' But, he wanted to keep it to himself just in case, that well, it was part of the test too? "Mr. Wayne is going to be paying a pretty penny for that." He said whistling as he walked by the damage his magic-gone-wrong had caused.

"Biggest league benefactor, hope that doesn't change." He mused to himself, Batman would have his head... Figuratively speaking of course.

It didn't take long to die up the criminals and release the hostage. Still... It was all too easy. "I know what you're all thinking." A deep voice came from behind them. "It was supposed to be easy, but you were still supposed to work together. That would mean listening to each other." Batman lectured calmly. "Supergirl. It's understandable that you could handle them without breaking a sweat. But what if there had been another with the hostage. Or explosives. Anything could have happened and you could have cost the lives of the hostage and your teammates under any other circumstances." He turned his attention to Clarence. "You. You arrived and attacked first rather than doing recon and seeing who you were attacking. It was reckless and dangerous." He said before looking at Robin and Kid Flash. You too didn't take it seriously enough and should know better." Obviously he wouldn't bring up flirting right now. There wouldn't be a point.

Originally we thought that it was time for you all to form a team and venture out on your own, but obviously that isn't the case. It's not about how each of you do things. You still aren't ready to listen to each other and work properly as a team as opposed to a group of individuals." Yes a team was jut a group of individuals, but the meaning in what he was saying was evident. At least it was to KF. "Now you three can go home. Robin. Let's go." He said turning to leave without another word.

Kid Flash sighed. "Right..." He said before sighed. "Karen. Clarence. I'll see you guys around." He said with a somewhat disappointed look. "And you know maybe a little sooner than later right?" He asked directing that part more towards Supergirl and making it apparent. Still the small bit of disappointment was noticeable. Without another word he shot off like a rocket moving at sonic speeds. Soon he would be home where he would change, bathe and go to bed hoping not to be disappointed anymore. At least he didn't have school since winter break had started. And it was almost Christmas. Only 5 more days. He thought.

Her annoyance at Supergirl's outburst was apparent. It wouldn't go over well with Bats if she couldn't even keep her friends under control on a simple mission like this, which as expected, really turned out to be a test. "Bye KF... See you later." When Batman showed up, she already knew she would be having to leave, and probably hear it later, but at least she took the mission somewhat seriously. More so than the others. Even though she kind of felt it was wrong, she wished the other two hadn't shown up, even KF, really. It was true the two could've managed it easily, they worked brilliantly as a duo (which Batman, she was aware, had taken note of) even if they weren't incredibly serious. That wasn't really the main problem here; Robin worked fine in a duo, she had been in one her whole life. But with a team? No. Co-operation with one person was difficult enough as it was.

"It wasn't my fault." She crossed her arms as they left the room, following behind him with crossed arms. "Me and KF were going to deal with it, and then Clarence and Supergirl showed up, and... yeah." Not thinking of a better argument, and deciding to give it up now, she climbed onto the windowsill of where she expected Batman had entered, and soared out onto the ground, using her tools to land safely on her feet.
