Incorprealism: Nicholas's magic lets him to go incorpreal. While incorpreal, nobody can sense him in any way unless he gives them permission (For example, his partner). He moves quite faster when incorpreal, one reason is because he flies. He can not effect the physical world while incorpreal. However, if an item is small enough, he is able to bring it with him into the incorpreal realm.

The Pendant: Nicholas also has a pendant that was passed down generation to generation since long before magic became illegal. It allows the user to summon weapons with certain effects, such as fire or ice. Only one weapon can be summoned at a time (meaning to change from a fire weapon to an ice weapon would require making the fire weapon disappear before the ice weapon can be summoned), and each person can only summon a certain type of weapon. Nicholas can only summon glaives, where his great grandfather summoned maces.

History

Nicholas was the fifth and last child in the Zerenity family. His father, Quan Zerenity, owns Zerenity Locomotives, a train system that spiderwebs all across Fiore. He wanted his children to go into the businessman business, and all of them did happilly except Nicholas. He wanted to be like his great grandfather (on his mother's side_, a mighty wizard back when magic was an everyday thing. Since Nicholas's father grew up taught that it was evil, he forbid that Nicholas followed that path.

Nicholas's mother, unbeknownst to Quan, supported Nicholas. She gave him the pendant her grandfather used, and told him that one day, he would be apart of the return of magic.

Nicholas kept the pendant a secret from his father, but when things got difficult, he would pull it out and imagine being a might wizard, fighting off the greatest criminal master minds there were. However, he began to lose hope in his dream. He began following the path his father wanted him to, and forgot about the pendant.

As time went on, Nicholas's mother began to get terribly sick. The doctors said that she didn't have much longer to live. The whole family went to visit her, but one by one, they left until it was just Nicholas. The next day, she passed away. One week later, Nicholas took the pendant and ran away. He was twelve years old.

He went from town to town, looking for someone to train him, until eventually he found Lamar, a kind man who had taught himself Incorprealism. At first,

Nicholas thought about going on until he found someone who could specifically teach him how to use the pendant, but decided to stay.

He stayed with the man for six years, learning everything he could. When he learned Incorprealism, the pendant was simple. After he turned seventeen, he thanked Lamar (a lot), and left to join a guild.

Personality

Nicholas may act over the top at times, but he can quickly calm down if it is required. He is a very good listener, which is a rare, and very appreciated trait.

To fit in, to be liked, to be known as a powerful wizard who stands up for his friends, to prove to his family that magic can be used for good.
