Gullibility is really irrelevant. I personally don't feel so strongly about SW myself, but no one has really any way of discerning whther it's a legitimate spoiler or not. Plus, spoiling movies is a very sensitive ordeal.

If it's still impactful without that boost, then it's a mark of good writing. Literally exactly what I said in the first place. Saying there's a boost if you don't know beforehand agrees with my original statement.
