Maybe players should consider adding something like an "interacting with:" header to their posts.

Player Character
interacting w/: PC1, PC2, PC3


Possibly @mention the players as well? Maybe adding a location tag when PCs are separated?

Or am I overthinking things...?


Definitely something to consider.

Should maybe add that to the sheets too, just when exactly the students got to the school, because we got some new ones, some who've been there for a while, and some for only a year or 2.

Yeah all well and good guys, but I'd add it to your sheet so people can reference it when needed.

Allison has been at the school since the Spring, for example. Thus she knows the people, but hasn't established much yet.
