Name: Devon

Gender: Male

Pokémon: Totodile

Ability: Torrent

Nature: Bold

Backstory: As a human, Devon's life was...Adventurous? If you count getting beat up by many wild Pokémon due to misunderstandings as a child. Young Devon was always interested in Pokémon, and thought the best way to interact with them would be to befriend wilds in near his home towns of both Hearthome and Goldenrod. (His parents live apart due to work reasons, but are still in love and share Devon throughout the twelve months of the year.) His naive way of making friends via butting into the personal space of wild Pokémon angered most he came across. Thus leading to many painful injuries, and frequent hospital visits. These unfortunate events did not daunt Devon however. He continued to attempt making friends with Pokémon and eventually succeeded. Making friends with a female Starly outside of Hearthome that he named: 'Flappers'. Thought childhood the boy played with the bird for years until they grew apart due to conflicting goals. Devon became interested in becoming a Trainer, and Flappers wanted a family of her own in the wild. The two parted ways when Devon was nine years old and have yet to encounter each other again.

Just before being brought to this strange new world, Devon was a happy, sixteen year old Pokémon Trainer. Collecting the badges of both Sinnoh and Johto while travelling with his five beloved team mates. Shock the Ampharos, Cyan the Marill, Quill the Monferno, Missy the Mismagius, and Nasir the Zoroark.

Personality: Devon is an outgoing used-to-be-teen who is very social between small groups, but cannot handle being the centre of attention in a large crowd. He’s quick to make friends, mostly leaning towards those with the same light hearted attitude as him. Though he can adapt to others of a different mindset with little time. Devon is patient, but does have his limits for things like long journeys with no excitement or stubborn Pokémon. His temper may seem almost non-existent, but do not be fooled. He is relatively good at hiding anger thanks to him seeing his fathers stern expression not change for sixteen years. That has been helpful in many situations such as dealing with childhood bullies. He may seem distant at first, but he does feel a sense of purpose to help others. Going out of his way to do so. He is competitive, taking offence to challenges and accepting them with little thought in the moment that sometimes lead him to misfortune. Due to being around others for most of his life, Devon is also bothered by being alone for long periods of time.

Team: TBA

Moveset:

Water Gun
Ice Fang
Bite
Rage

Special Features:
His back spikes are a light brown instead of the normal red, and his irises are a deep brown. Reflections of his former self.

Memories: When he first awakens, Devon will know literally nothing. Confused and in a daze for a bit before he regains his composer, he will then begin to remember powerful memories bit by bit. First will be his name, then his human status, then slowly he will rediscover fond memories of friends, family, and the past.

Name: Pip

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Kricketot

Backstory: Was raised by his doting mother Lyra, a Kricketune that was an intelligent and influential member of Valiant Village. He called her "Ma" and always admired her, though she was very stern. She went missing a few months ago when she tried to rescue another Pokemon from a dungeon, but neither of them ever came back.

Personality: Pip is very quiet, thoughtful, and often nervous around new people. He's a very level-headed and calm Pokemon, not as rash and abrasive like his best friend Jaki. His moves utilize his strengths, namely singing and bug-type moves that he's known since he was hatched, because he's not inherently a very good fighter. He was frequently bullied by bigger and stronger Pokemon when he was younger. He hopes that by fighting alongside Jaki and helping others he can become stronger. He admires and misses his mother, who was headstrong and brave; he hopes to find out what happened to her by going through dungeons and exploring.

Team: Team Clawtune, with Jaki

Moveset:

  • Growl
  • Sing
  • Headbutt
  • Bug Buzz

Special Features: From a physical standpoint, he's just a normal Kricketot.

Name: Jaki

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Gligar

Backstory: Jaki has no idea where her parents are; they disappeared when she was a young hatchling. She fended for herself in the wilderness for a long time before arriving in Valiant Village, where Lyra adopted her. After Lyra disappeared, Jaki made it her goal to become an explorer and formed a rescue team with Pip to not only find their dear Ma, but altos help anyone else who needed it.

Personality: Jaki is hawkish and quarrelsome, a natural-born fighter. She's often very warm towards others, and in known around town for her loud and cheerful personality. She's very impulsive and fiery, and she's as quick to pick a fight as she is to crack a joke. Jaki is very protective of Pip, whom she fully considers to be her baby brother.

Team: Team Clawtune, with Pip

Moveset:

  • Poison Jab
  • Fury Cutter
  • Brick Break
  • Screech

Special Features: She's notably smaller than the average Gligar, measuring about 2' head-to-tail instead of 3' head-to-tail, a fact that vexes her daily.

Gender: Female

Pokémon: Mawile

Ability: Hyper Cutter

Backstory: Raised in Seelie Village with other Fairy-type Pokémon, Celty lead a relatively peaceful existence throughout her childhood years. Despite having no biological relatives—as she appeared one day hatched from an egg—she has lived with a caring father-like figure, a Dedenne, up until she was old enough to strike out on her own.

As a child, she befriended a small Eevee, Lucrecia, which she grew close to. They went to school together, and did everything together. As they matured, Lucrecia eventually evolved into a Sylveon due to her strong affection towards Celty. Lucrecia founded a Rescue Team named Team Ribbon, with Celty as her partner. The two braved dangerous dungeons to help hapless Pokémon. Their team began to expand, and that's when...

Lucrecia suffered a near-fatal injury, resulting in a comatose state.

Personality: Celty, at her core, is a kind-hearted, caring individual. That said, it's clear the loss of Lucrecia has shaken her to her core.

Name: Zaru

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Chimchar

Backstory: Zaru was born and partially raised outside the village. Their tribe usually travelled from one place to another to hone their talents further. They would climb mountains, travel through forests like it's any other day. That was Zaru's everyday life and he enjoyed the heck out of it. He and his brother would usually compete on who's better which just makes Zaru better and better. They were one happy family but then their parents got sick and soon died from this illness because they didn't have the necessary herbs to heal them.

So Zaru and Rick departed for Valiant Village, the nearest village to their position. They managed to ease in perfectly thanks to the hospitality of the people there. He didn't think about it much but he was interested at Spirit's Guild. It was for explorers they say. Before he knew it though, he had gone through four seasons in the village already and he grew up. Despite coming from a family who can't stay put, he seemed to be very relaxed and just watched the other pokemon play. Suddenly, Rick up and left and said that he didn't want being stuck in one place. He asked Zaru if he wanted to come but the chimchar politely declined and stayed at Valiant Village.

Another year passed after that and he finally decided to join Spirit's Guild. Although this would be his second year there, he still hasn't joined a team yet. He usually takes applications that are basic and that's why he managed to get by without a team. But he seemed keen on joining one so he can get to more explorations. Sometimes, even a laid back pokemon has the spirit of an adventurer after all.

Personality: Zaru's the type of pokemon who is very laid back. He seems to just go with the flow, and doesn't seem to think about what the future has in store for him. He is friendly and usually spends most of his time basking in the glory of sunlight while sitting on a tree branch although he likes rain too of course. He also likes watching other pokemon play around while he simply watches, not seemingly intent on joining in on the fun. It's odd that he isn't as hyperactive as pokemon his age but that's just the type of guy he is.

Although this doesn't necessarily mean you can't pump him up to go on expeditions. Actually just say the word and he'll spring to action. He won't take the lead or become one of the most hyperactive person but he will follow around and try to help as much as he can. Despite being very laid back in his free time, he's seen to still be more agile and quick than most Chimchar's out there making him quite an asset. He isn't afraid to get down and dirty and can hold himself against a real fight.

Team: Zaru does not have an established team, yet.

Moveset:
  • Ember
  • Fury Swipes
  • Flame Wheel
  • Taunt

Special Features: Looks just like any other Chimchar but he's more agile and stronger than average.

Family: Rick the Monferno - Older Brother (Traveling)

Guild Affiliation: Spirit's Guild

Name: Drogo

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Salamence

Occupation: Treasure Hunter

Backstory: Drogo was raised in a family of proud Salamence. They were rich bankers who really earned every penny they had. His mother and father thought him from a very young age that he should appreciate what he has and if not then he'll have to work for what he wants to have. That is the start of Drogo’s love for money. He had started exploring dungeons dungeons as a job and even entered an exploration guild once.

But then something went wrong. His parents were attacked while on the way for a transaction with a client. He was in the guild back then and he dropped out after inheriting his parents’ money. He deposited all of it to the bank and began exploring dungeons again but as a treasure hunter.

Although no one knows where Drogo actually lives. Some say that he moves around, some say in a small village that is unknown to others while some go as far as saying that he lives in the dungeons. He does not disclose this information to anyone else, even his friends. They also say that he has more money than what he has in the bank, way more money, and that he hides that in a secret place. Whether these are true or not eludes everyone who knows him.

Personality: Drogo absolutely loves money and that is why he goes around defeating dungeons to collect a lot of treasure. He doesn't do anything to hide this part of him. He is greedy in terms of money and wouldn't give any to people unless it would benefit him as well. However, he does not steal from innocent Pokemon and does not kill others for it. He can also be a good friend given that one wouldn't expect him to give you some of his riches.

However, he still has brains and does not easily give in to the lure of money if he thinks it is a trap or if he has to risk his life to get it. After all, his life is more important than small chunks of gold and jewels.

He has a sense of loyalty to people he deems worthy of it. People who gained his trust, people who fought with him and had his back. They are the only exception to his endless greed. But even then, it is only a small portion on what he has.

  • Dragon Breath

Name: Dylan

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Mudkip

Backstory: Before all of this started, Dylan grew up in a suburban community, and lived a relatively normal life. However, being young and foolish, he tended to procrastinate various things (or at least try). Homework, chores, family obligations; almost anything was fair game to pushing back. His grades and motivation quickly decreased, and was frequently scolded. He valued his time with friends above all else. What he lost in procrastination, he made up for with general care for his friends He often was afraid that he'd lose his friends, so he tried to make them happy whenever possible. However, when one of his small group of friends had to move away, the group started to fall apart. Dylan slowly grew depressed, and with nothing better to do, stopped procrastinating. He worked with little emotion or enthusiasm. Only when he found a new group of friends did he become happy again. He continued to do his work (though still tried to get out of it here and there) and found a balance in his life. Currently he has no memory of his human life, only knowing his name, and knowledge of Pokémon.

Personality: Dylan tends to be wise for his age, due to the world wide web, as well as having to deal with some stress. He also puts others before himself mostly, however, he leans on those he trusts or absolutely needs help from. He tends to keep his true feelings and issues to himself, not wanting to bother others with his problems. Dylan enjoys to play games and has a competitive side to him when he plays. He makes friends fairly quickly (if they seem nice to him, that is), and once he considers someone a friend, he'll hold on to that title for as long as he can.

Moveset:

Special Features: Nothing too different about him, besides his eyes being a silver/gray instead of black.

Name: Amelia Feuille

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Pancham

Backstory: Amelia Feuille was born into her father's shop on the edge of Valiant Village; born to help tend the counters, resupply the food stock, and serve hungry customers - often coming by with a small apron to hand a steaming bowl of soup to a new explorer. Her father would often recount his tales of adventuring upstairs at the fire, explaining his once robust career - like saving small pokemon unable to fend for themselves from big, monstrous brutes. As a young lass, the pokemon would often listen in awe, her jaw open and eyes wide as she listened to her father's old stories. The girl was desperate to grow old and become a brave adventurer, just like her dad. It sounded like an amazing prospect; saving small pokemon, helping those in need, adventuring - it was all she really wanted.

As Amelia grew older, and her father's anecdotes began to repeat themselves, she began to doubt her father; once looking up to him as a intrepid, heroic dad, she began to try to see past his curtain of valiance. It seemed an adventurer's job was saving these "small, defenseless, weak" pokemon from the big bad villain. As if the pokemon couldn't care for themselves and they had to rely on the machismo explorer to save them. Was her dad really bravely mapping out areas with his teammates, defeating attacking pokemon, or swooping in to mark out an area and beat up it's locals? As the years passed, she began to grow rancorous. It seemed her father wasn't really the old, lionhearted explorer she grew up with, but a washed up old coot.

The Pancham began to obtain a particular interest to the tales of the outlaws of old; recounting how they stole items, robbed pokemon, and even held them hostage at times. Their stories never seemed to repeat, and they never seemed to run out of material. Amelia abandoned her silly idea of being a dorky adventurer and saving pokemon from the big baddies, and instead adopted the idea of being a cool, nefarious outlaw that stole items, robbed pokemon, and was generally greedy and sinister. Her outlaw career, however, would never really take off; being naturally goodhearted, most attempts at joining a gang having been laughed off, and was once even rescued by a team ( the mere thought! ) after getting tangled up with a nearby gang.

Amelia currently resides in Valiant Village, having stopped tending to her father's shop ( she still lives with him, of course - where would she get food and a bedtime story? ) to begin trying to be a proper thief.

Personality: Amelia Feuille is stubborn, young, and impressionable; and she has a particularly problematic "rebellious" streak. Her father, Takeo Feuille, is a bold, jolly pokemon. Once having been a brave explorer in the Spirit's Guild, he now lives a more tranquil life with his own shop on the rim of Valiant Village, and spends his time rambling on about his past adventures to Amelia, spelunking deep in dark dungeons and mapping out areas with his old teammates. The daughter of the explorer, however, has a severe aversion to even the idea of being some stupidly valiant explorer dedicated to justice and all that junk. No, she'd much rather prefer a role on the less than virtuous side of things; taking the role of a scummy, villainous outlaw that the explorers would hunt down.

Amelia Feuille tries to model most of her personality around some old, retired outlaws that she had a habit of listening to, recounting old tales of kidnapping, stealing, and attacking fresh explorers. While Amelia attempts to be villainous, looking forward to eventually becoming a big and brutish Pangoro, her righteous morals and natural kindness often end up in her completely failing. She often tries to be rude, bitter, and mean to most pokemon she comes across, despite almost all of her natural instincts telling her to speak up and apologize for being so crass. The young pokemon had even once tried stealing something from her dad's restaurant, but returned to him an hour later bawling her eyes out and sniveling, after which he treated her to ice cream.

Pokemon: Luxray

Occupation: Law enforcment Pokémon

Backstory:

She came to Valiant village several years ago covered in wounds as a Luxio she had gotten after a fierce battle with outlaw pokémon. After spanding many weeks in recovery she slowly started helping out just enough to get by and pay her medical bills. However she was distant to everyone and didn’t raise a paw in anyone’s favor but her own. However years later she actually came to join Spirit’s guild after much persuation. At this pont she slowly started open up to other pokémon as they showed her friendship and teamwork.
Eventually she came to admit to them that she was indeed not quite innocent herself, she was in fact an run away outlaw, and the ones that had given her those wounds several years prior was in fact pokémon she once had called ’friends’. With her past admitted she found it surprising that these pokémon didn’t throw her out or throw her to the ’mightyenas’ no they accepted her as she haden’t done anything bad for years and after settling on a ’dept’ for her to pay off with her work they let her live on without trouble.

At some point after that she evolved and came to join the Law Enforcment as she hussled with some outlaw pokémon, she felt like she finally had found her calling in life and that her past was way behind her. After she had settled down she fell in love and eventually had a child of her own, nowdays that child don’ t need as much care and she mostly focus on her work unless needed elsewhere.

Personality:
Tzerah is somewhat cold towards pokémon she don’t know yet and trust dosen’t come easy to her at all. She’s not one to nag unneccessarily or raise her voice unless its the only option left. Those that know her a bit closer however will find that she’s quite sweet and caring, and that she’s much softer on the inside than what is mos toften shown on the outside.

Pokemon: Zorua

Backstory: Milton was raised from an egg by a Umbreon called Luna, and she's always been his mother even if she, at one point, told him that she was not. While Milton is, in general, rather curious of who his actual parents are, he always thought that they would reveal themselves if they actually wanted to see him. It hasn't been a bad thing to be adopted and he's really happy with his Umbreon mother. Milton still attends school and its classes while living in a smaller village. However he's not above sneaking off on secret explorations and has at times ended up in his share of trouble. And while liking to play pranks on fellow Pokemon, he's not known as a troublemaker.

Milton want to join Spirit's guild as a full fledged member some day, yet as of now he's a trainee and can only take on missions in his free time after school or during weekends. Milton have a two siblings that is Luna's real children a brother and a Sister, his brother have moved out of town and live in the big city somewhere as a fully evolved Leafeon. His sister, however, is still an Eevee and attends school as well. Milton is very defensive of her, and would protect her with his life if needed. If she's in trouble, Milton would rush to her rescue no matter what situation he was currently in.

Personality: Milton is very kind actually, even if he at times can be a prankster and play tricks on fellow Pokemon he's usually quite quick to put things right before someone get harmed in any way by his pranks. This have usually led to most Pokemon in town not taking ill when he play a prank of them, as he always apologize after wards and make it up to them if needed. His pranks are usually quite harmless to boot as he don't want to hurt anyone. Protective of allies and Pokemon in need of help, he's also slightly gullible due to trusting others rather easily.

Name:
Hat

Gender:
Female

Pokemon:
Snorunt

Backstory:
Hat was born somewhere cold, in the middle of a group of Sneasel. She had been found, still in her egg, abandoned in a ruined building. They, thinking a little kid to look after sounded like loads of fun, wound up hatching her a month or so after being found. The Sneasel were delighted to see the baby Snorunt in her little hat, and immediately decided to name her exactly that, Hat.

As months passed, they took her on their various adventures, exploring all sorts of fun places, like cities, caverns, castles, and more. It was always very exciting, and they were always very happy at the end of it. Eventually, when she’d grown to the point of being able to talk and recognize evil monsters, they decided to put her to use, usually as a lookout. She was pretty good at being a lookout!

After a few years of this treatment, she started to get her own little personality. She started to grow envious of the pretty treasures that the others would get at the end of their adventures, and often stole little things from the loot before they were distributed. She was usually caught, and subsequently punished by Sney, the one in charge of looking after her most of the time. She didn’t learn not to steal, though. She just learned not to get caught.

After an even longer period of time, she started to be asked to be put into more active roles on the team. By now, she knew that they weren’t usually actually exploring abandoned castles and towns to defeat evil monsters and earn all the treasure they got. Rather, they were exploring, raiding, and looting fully populated castles and towns for all the wealth of the Pokemon within. Most of the time, anyway.

Somehow, this didn’t really bother her. The Pokemon had stuff that they wanted, so they took it. It felt natural to take things from the weak and inattentive when they weren’t looking. The sneasels agreed.

Years more of this sort of life, Hat was a proper adult. She could take care of herself, fend for herself, and provide for others. She was a functional member of Team Windchill, and treated the rest of the team like family.

The rest of the team, though, was getting older. They were getting slower, weaker, and slipping up more. The leader, Weave, attributed this to sloppiness, and drilled them for discipline. Everyone, though, knew that it was just age. They had to retire, soon.

Eventually, Weave brought an idea to the team. They didn’t really have the money to retire, and there were many, many bounties out for most of the team. They couldn’t just settle down somewhere. Instead, he said, they should pull off one big, last heist, to get all the wealth they could need for the rest of their lives.

The place was a Kecleon storehouse, well-hidden and guarded. They would sneak in during the night of a blizzard, steal all the most valuable things they could, and escape before they were even detected.

That was the plan, and the plan failed. Somewhere along the line, one of the sneasel was spotted, and the whole guard force was brought to bear. The entire half of the team responsible for going inside was captured, fortunately not including Hat, who was on lookout once more. The half of the team that escaped split, mutually agreeing that sticking together was just a good way to get identified. Hat, for the first time in her life, is now alone.

Alone and wandering the cold forests of the north, she eventually came upon a town. There wasn’t anything exceptional about it, other than that it was currently host to a team of explorers. After being inadvertently forced into a conversation with them, she learned of the faraway Valiant Village, where she could likely get enough money from the guild’s own pile of loot to live off of. Lacking money or a better plan, Hat decided to make her way over.

It’s been a month of slow travelling since then, but she’s finally arrived at the outskirts of the town.

Personality:
Greedy and sneaky enough to try to steal from a Kecleon, but cowardly enough not to. A small, petty criminal of the lowest caliber, always careful to ensure she does not get caught. Dishonorable, rude, and only diligent when it comes to feeding her lust for wealth.

Gregarious only when she wants something, quiet at all other times. Avoids conflict.

Team:
At one point a part of the late Team Windchill, an icy outlaw team of mostly Sneasels. No longer with them, as the team broke up after the leader(and half the team with him) was arrested. Managed to always escape without being identified by police forces, and thus lacks a bounty or criminal record.

Moveset:
Powder Snow
Leer
Double Team
Ice Shard

Special Features:
One of her teeth was damaged in a fight, and eventually replaced with gold. It’s very shiny now.

Family:
Long-lost mother and father. Nothing is known about them, save for an unintelligible map of some variety found with her egg, which she carries with her under her hat.

Guild Affiliation:
None.
