PersonalitySnarky, smart, and a survivor through and through, Jessica Conroy is a force to be reckoned with. She's stubborn and ruthless, cold and calculating, not one to be tied down by useless feelings when there's a job to be done. More than most, she understands that some sacrifices must be made in order to succeed and she's willing to make those sacrifices. She has a wicked temper, one so fierce it's frightening. She values loyalty and bravery more than anything, and she thinks a traitor or a coward to be no better than the scientists that chase them.
HistorySince birth, Jessica and her twin brother, William were surrounded by the supernatural. Born into a coven based in New York, her parents took it upon themselves to train them to be some of the best they could be. Her father taught her the language of magic, how to carve powerful sigils that could serve as weapons in their own right. It was an unusual childhood, but a happy one none the less.
And then, they scientists came. They'd heard rumors, of course they had. But they hadn't believed that the supernatural community could be so blind to such things, and so they had shrugged them off as just stories. Oh the irony. The scientists came in the dead of night, and they came with weapons. William and Jessica were only sixteen. They watched as their father was knocked to the ground, his last words to them slipping out of his mouth. "Run." This instilled a fight in Jessica, and she and William did just what their father told them. They ran. They trained. And then they started to fight back. Taking out scientist convoys, killing off their informants. In the past few months they've built up a reputation, as people who come when called out to, people who won't let the scientists win without a good fight.
AbilitiesElemental Manipulation - Jessica can manipulate the four basic elements, magic that she learned from her brother, although she is much weaker with earth and water than with fire and air.
Language of Magic - Her father taught her how to read the ancient language of magic, and in turn, how to make runes that could protect buildings or people. She also knows runes that can send an electric shock through someone, or even one that blows up on contact.
Spells - With the right materials and incantations, Jessica, like any witch, can cast a multitude of powerful spells.
Weaknesses Anything your average human is weak to, Jess is weak to as well, not to mention anything that dampens magic.
