Quinton

@Vicier

While Quinton still stood in the doorway, his attention was brought to Xerxes, the angel's words stunning him for a moment, not because they were something he was hearing for the first time, but because the Angel was trying to speak for werewolves, when he wasn't one. Quinton could understand the need to connect, to understand, your child, but Quinton also knew that you could never truly understand what it was to be a werewolf. Hell, he didn't even understand what it was to be a girl. Abigale in teenage years was going to be fun. Hopefully though, there would be a pack to help him with that.

Abigale was going to wind them around her little finger.

His attention turning back to Xerxes as the Angel dared to take the spotlight away from what was important in that room right now, the young pups who would be confused, and in need of someone to understand, to take that spotlight away from them, to take the authority away from Zoe...that was overstepping. That was undermining everyting that Zoe would be for these pups. Quinton turned his attention to Zoe, still standing in the door way, although he doubted that the boy would run off now, now that the danger of taking Syleste away had been pointed out to him. He didn't even need to look to Zoe to understand that she was pissed. No, he could understand that very well. And he knew that Zoe was very close to walking.

As first one girl, and then the teen speaking for himself, and his imprinted mate, Quinton left the door, nudging the boy back into the room, he approached Zoe, silent, he reached out and lay a hand on her shoulder. "The pups need you" He said softly, keeping his eyes on her. "They need you, and I'll be there, every step of the way. Don't throw it away. You're a good alpha, Zoe" He gave her shoulder a squeeze, and stayed where his was, crossing his hands behind his back. "They need you, and want you"

The Twins

Gage stared at quinton then the exit beyond the man. He wanted to run. He wanted to run so damn badly....but then again the guy was right. Syleste was hurt. His attention momentarily shot toward Xeres whom showed he was an angel. Then he was nudged back in the room where in front of everyone he crumpled. His eyes focused on Zoe as one by one each werewolf accepted her and he shook his head.

"Why should I trust you?" he held Syleste close and it was clear he needed her right now. "You are capable of manipulating me easier then the people I live with."

Aron had stared at the Angel then blinked at gage. "Gage....I trust her" "You trust everyone which is why I can't" Gage's jaw clenched then unclenched as he broke down. She had so easily controlled them. He slowly debated several things. He could hand Syleste to aron and run. But...he didn't want to leave her. He slowly sunk to the floor and held her gently to him. A part of him wanted to accept her...wanted to trust. But how could he. The last time he trusted he ended up being manipulated.

Aron inhaled knowing what he was about to do would probably break down Gage more. He looked at Zoe and let his eyes meet hers. "My name is Aron Brooks....and....and I accept you as my alpha" the part that was left out but clear in his tone somehow seemed to hang in the air. please don't take advantage of that

Gage looked at his brother with a look filled with so many emotions. He trembled but managed to not jostle Syleste. Gage said nothing but rather waited for Zoe. She would say something....and how she said it would affect him greatly.

"You think you're real smart, aye?" Linus snapped, becoming increasingly irate with everyone's assumption that he should be perfectly alright with being kidnapped and not ask any questions. "I don't think this has occurred to you, but I don't bloody know this Callie girl. I've been given no reasons to trust her. All I know is that I've been carted off to her place with no explanation and she's given me some magic pieces of wood. You think I should be kissing her arse? He scoffed, twirling the charms around in his hand. He wasn't even sure exactly what they did, but they seemed to be keeping him calmer than he otherwise would have been. Even though that was technically a good thing, he was still convinced that it was some kind of bribe or something.

"And why's everyone telling me that I'm magic? I mean, it's odd that you all know this and I don't. I'm not saying I'd be surprised if I was, I'm just a bit suspicious of how much you lot already know about me, that's all." He fell silent, watching the people in the room out of the corners of his eyes. None of them had given him a good explanation for what was happening. Even if what they said was true, that they just wanted to give him a place to stay out of the goodness of their hearts, that was a bit creepy to say the least. And misguided. Besides, he was still waiting on an explanation from Callie herself. It seemed that she'd organized this; at least that was how everyone else was making it sound.

Zoé's explanation aligned perfectly with the fact that Sebastian already knew, and filled in a lot of the blank spaces. The identity of the enemy Alpha still remained unknown to Sebastian, however he suspected Zoé knew who it was. As the woman continued along with her speech, Sebastian slowly forced himself to relax, standing behind Xerxes and Cassie to remain near Syleste and out of sight.

Sebastian wasn't entirely sure why, but an irresistible urge to protect Syleste had overcome him. Maybe it was because she was the only non-were, or perhaps that she was a Siren like him. Maybe her vulnerability with her blindness drew him to shield her, but the reason didn't matter. If he needed to, he would fight each were in that room to get her to safety.

As Zoé began to finish her speech, she made a gesture that made Sebastian's heart drop into his stomach.

“All but two of you are healed, aren’t you..? No pain… no injuries… and you know deep down, that you feel better than you ever have before in your entire lives… A wolf attack doesn’t leave you like that. It leaves you like this.” The Alpha motioned to the two Sirens, immediately and effectively alienating them as the odd ones out. Any hope of his identity remaining a mystery vanished the moment she pointed to them.

Sebastian's entire body tensed as he fought to keep the growing scream within his throat down. Every fiber in his body, every neuron in his brain, screamed RUN.

But no one moved on them; no one really even gave them more than a glance. They were all too preoccupied with their transformations and Zoé's commanding address to worry about the Sirens.

Gage moved across the room towards Xerxes and Syleste, gently taking her out of the doctor's arms. "I'm sorry about... me." Gage spoke softly, shaking his head. Sebastian took an instinctive step forward as Syleste was taken away, however a glance from Gage reminded him of his place. The Siren lowered his eyes to the ground and moved backwards, pressing his back against the bed behind him.

"Gage... Gage, don't run." Aron's warning was ignored as Gage attempted to leave, however Quinton's presence immediately shut down any hopes Sebastian had of being able to walk out of the hospital room.

Panic once again overtook Sebastian as he forced himself not to let loose a scream that would burst eardrums. Calm down! Pissing them off will only end up getting you killed! Fight it. Breathe. Be serene.

"Klamath Falls has always drawn the supernatural to it; species of all kinds. What Zoé is telling you is the truth. That was no ordinary wolf that attacked you all, but a Werewolf. Zoé is the alpha of her pack. By bringing you all here, she has claimed you all as her own, despite another being the one to turn you... and..." Xerxes voice commanded attention as he spoke to the pack, instructing them. As he spoke, Xerxes slowly began to undress, which unnerved Sebastian slightly. Any time he had seen a fully turned were, which had only been a couple of times in his life, clothing had been markedly scarce.

"I love you, Cassie. And I'll always protect you... Forgive me." The wings that sprouted from Xerxes' back took the Siren completely by surprise, causing him to release an audible gasp as the glorious wings flew into their position laying flat across the Angel's back.

"You used to call me your guardian angel when you were little... I've wanted to tell you a thousand times as to how right you were..."

Cassie's reaction was tame, considering the given circumstances.

"Then why didn't you?" Cassie's voice was full of emotion, which pulled at Sebastian's heartstrings. Cassie was always sweet and soft, and it killed him to see her suffer. "But...you're wrong, Dad. Zoe can't claim us...we have to claim her"

Cassie's words commanded attention as she stepped towards the Alpha."My name is Cassandra Arvantis. And I am a werewolf. And you...are my Alpha"

Sebastian watched in awe as Conner followed suit and pledged himself and Kaylee. Aron wasn't far behind, also giving his allegiance to Zoé.

Questions swam through Sebastian's head, mostly consisting of the confusion of the pack bonding he was witnessing, which he was pretty certain was quite unorthodox, and his place in it all. The fear of ending up just like his mother, dead at the claws of a Werewolf, filled him with uncertainty and dread, however he wasn't going to take it lying down, bleeding out in the middle of a hospital with no help.

Swallowing hard, Sebastian limped forward past Cassie and Xerxes towards Zoé. Syleste's presence was still acutely clear in the Siren's mind, however he had abandoned his unreasonable hope of fighting past the Alpha.

"I'm not a Werewolf," He began shakily, swallowing again before continuing. "I... S-Sirens have no place in a pack. I don't belong here. We don't belong here."

Sebastian forced himself to meet Zoé's eyes, staring into the crimson depths as panic began to rise in his throat again. The terror of facing an Alpha was clearly evident on his face, however he stood as tall as his broken form would allow him to. "What do you want us to do?"

Cody watched what was going on, a little baffled. It wasn't the werewolf thing, it wasn't the Angel suddenly in their midst-or rather suddenly revealed, it wasn't anything like that. He looked to his friends, perplexed. The young man watched them, contemplating things. He shook his head, and sighed softly. While he was sure it was very affirming to do what they were...it was show, he was sure, as he looked up, meet Zoe's eyes, and nodded, before turning back to Aron, He didn't think the show was necessary. The books he'd read...well, they were fiction, but wolves just needed the behaviour, not the display of it, to accept an alpha, right?

So if he simply accepted her, then that should be enough, right? He sighed again, and not caring, he leaned in to nuzzle Aron, All Cody really wanted right then was to go home. Go anywhere, really, so long as it was with Aron. Maybe they could go to the tree house. As Sebastian spoke, Cody turn his eyes towards him, studying his injuried friend. He carefully extracted himself from Aron, and slid off the bed, approaching Sebastian, he stopped by Gage, and looked over Syleste, hesitating. He hoped she would be okay. He gave Gage a smile,

He looked to Sebastian again, "Sebastian...you were attacked, the same as us...you're our friend...i'm not going to abandoned my friends just because...we are what we are now" He said softly, not wanting Sebastian to feel abandoned, that he didn't belong. He looked to Zoe, hesitated, unsure of...this pack thing...and he wanted to know, if they could accept their friends.

"I'm five" Abigale said, "I'm smart...but I don't know everything. There's a difference!" she said, stepping forward, she looked up the the boy, her eyes narrowing slightly, "Don't swear!" She shoved him, "You've been given no reason to not trust her!" She stared at the boy, "She's let you in her home! She's accepted you, gave you charms! She's willing to let you stay, to give you food, and a roof over your head! why are you so ungrateful?" she demanded

She glared up at him, "Never made things happen, when you were scared or afraid?" She said furiously, "I've lived the supernatural world all my life, my mother died when a hunter, when my pack was kill, so believe me when I say, you're a witch." The young girl looked away, biting her lip. In that moment, she was just a child, who missed her mother. She sighed softly, and looked back to the boy.

"I will be a werewolf, when I'm older. Mag...mag...Maggie is a druid" She said, looking to Magnus, and giving him a small smile. "He knows things." She looked back to the boy, "you have a chance for a home" She said softly, and threw caution to the wind, she hugged the boy, her small arms going around him, she knew that she might get herself hit, but...she didn't care.

"You don't have to be alone..."

Linus immediately shoved her off of him when she threw her arms around him. "Didn't I just say not to touch me!?" He snarled, taking several steps back to widen the distance between the two of them. Clearly, this girl didn't give a damn about his boundaries. The more the little girl argued, the more irate Linus got. So far Callie had yet to speak for herself, but everyone was telling him to believe Callie. Not the kind of situation he wanted to stay in. "So far you've given me exactly zero reasons to believe anything you say. What does your dead mum have to do with how you know I'm magic? Why'd you even bring that up? Honestly, you talk all smart, but really you're just as daft as the rest of your lot. And you're bloody five! What makes you think I should listen to you? Damn, I'm twice your age!"

Still, he didn't seem to be trying to leave just yet. Their motives for wanting him here were suspicious at best, so he wasn't wrong to be worried that they might go to drastic measures if he tried to escape. He placed the charms down, feeling that regardless of what they were, it wasn't a good idea to take them. He didn't want to owe anything to Callie before he found out what she was really up to.

"You're all daft. Every last one of you." He hissed, eyeing the room in a mix of fear and menace. Hopefully this would be resolved soon, or else he'd have to figure out the real extent of his supposed magic powers...

"And yet, you're acting like a baby cause you don't want to admit you want help!" Abigale said, a little sadly, as she stepped back from him, "Whatever, just go be a grumpy, bitter little boy! Seems to be what you want. I was just trying to be your friend" She started away, glancing about for Remus, wanting the pups comfort. Abigale bit her lip, the suddenly confident girl seemed to sink, bowing down slightly, she sighed to herself.

There weren't many things that Abigale scared Abigale. But going to school scared her. She'd never been around kids her own age much. What if she didn't have any friends? She glanced back to the boy, it was clear she wasn't good at making them. Wanting her father, Abigale looked about her, sniffling. She looked about for Callie, kind of hoping that her father might appear, but knowing that he was busy. As it seemed was Callie. Her eyes landed on Magnus, and wanting some comfort, Abigale ran towards him, flinging her arms around him, she hugged him as tightly as she could.

It wasn't the same as having her father, or Callie, but Magnus was an adult, and right then, she suppsoed, he would be enough. The young girl sniffled again, "I want my Daddy" She whispered, closing her eyes tightly, "I'm never going to make friends..." She opened an eye, risked a glance at Linus, then closed it again.

Magnus raised a brow at what was occurring in front of him. Im too old for this He shook his head and composed himself. "I have an ability called The Sight. With one look i can tell what you are. Though warlocks and witches give me problems. He lightly lifted a hand and a small ball of light formed itself in front of his now snake like eyes. "Witch child...you need training in order to not be a danger to well everyone. That is why you were brought here. Though you could have stayed in the hospital which had newly turned werewolves who are experiencing influxes of aggression." He lightly snapped and the ball puffed out in a cloud of shimmer. His usual flair picking up as he tilted his head. Eyes flashing back to normal.

"It is not my place to teach you as you are not the kind I normally help. I would not recommend leaving. With there being all the chaos...you will not find anywhere safer then here." Or the clinic or my place In the vet clinic there were several small runes scattered to protect it...his house had more. He was suddenly taken off guard by abigale. Both her comment and suddenly being hugged. He seemed to freeze there before he gently put a hand on her as some form of awkward comfort. I need a drink....so many drinks

"Well, you weren't doing a very good job of it! If you really wanted to be my friend, you would have treated me with an ounce of human respect and decency!" Linus snapped at Abigale. He was getting more than sick of her self-righteous attitude. He raised a hand to strike her, but then Magnus spoke up and Abigale ran over to him. What Magnus said actually cleared some things up. Again, he wasn't sure why Callie didn't just come forward and say this herself, but it did kind of make sense now. Maybe magic wasn't something the outside world was equipped to deal with, and it would be better if he stayed with his kind, so to speak.

"Finally, someone decides to answer my questions. What took you so long, mate?" Linus said, sounding a lot calmer than he had been even under the effect of the charms. He even smiled a little, though it faded back into a glare when he saw Abigale glance at him. He was really starting not to like the little girl. She acted like she was smarter than he was, and he found that intensely aggravating. Especially since nothing she had said made any sense. He still kept his distance from everyone else, especially Abigale, since she had made it quite clear that she didn't care that he was uncomfortable with physical contact.

Abigale had never lived in any other world then the supernatural one. She hadn't lived a normal life either. Running from the hunters with her father, hadn't exactly instilled a normal childhood in her. And she was five. Respect to her was giving hugs, was...trying to help. But she was five, and might not understand everything, understand how to use her words to portray something, but she knew one thing. Respect worked both ways. "If you really wanted that, kid, you would have at least given us your name" She said, her voice muffled slightly, before she looked up at Magnus and gave him a big smile.

"Thank you, Maggie..." She said softly, the young girl steeled herself, looking back to Linus, "If you weren't so willing to believe...the bad in people, maybe you would have got it sooner. Can't help stupid I guess" She retreated from Magnus, and crouched, watching Remus come towards her, she held out her arms and hugged the wolf-dog pup to her. "I've five. Decency doesn't mean much to me...and given that I've spent three years running...when there was no such thing as Decancy...you can just go jump in a lake" She flopped back, Remus settling himself against her.

"You're such a good boy, Remus" She said softly to the pup, holding herself close to the dog, she leaned her head against him, looking away from everyone, she leaned back against Magnus, closing her eyes. In moments, she was asleep again, seemingly quite comfortable in the position she was, hugging a dog and leaning back against someone. And yet, she looked like she could wake at anymore, as if she had gotten use to sleeping lightly.

"What, you think I'm going to feel bad for you after you talked down to me and called me stupid?" Linus scoffed, forcing down a laugh. "Where do you think I grew up? Where do you think my parents are? You think YOU had to fight for survival? You've had your dear old daddy holding your hand the whole way. Never lived a day alone in your life, I can tell." He grinned wryly, stepping forwards to stare at her as if she were a dead animal. He really had no sympathy for the little girl, but then again he barely knew what sympathy was. He couldn't really recognize when people had good intentions. And good as Abigale's intentions may be, truth be told Linus thought she was the most arrogant person he'd ever met.

"You've got no excuse, girlie. You've got your head so far up your own arse you can chew your food again on the way down! You chastise me for being wary of people who kidnapped me, you ignore me when I ask not to be touched, you call me stupid and then you try to pull the guilt card. It's enough to make me sick, really. He turned away after that, biting into his lower lip. He was feeling the effects of nicotine withdrawal start to sink back in, but he didn't pick up the charms. He didn't want to rely on someone who hadn't even properly explained herself yet.

Magnus raised a brow as the two children interacted. He rubbed his face before sighing. He was used to dealing with animals and supernaturals of at least 18. This was a new and terrible experience. He looked at Linus. "Witch child...Would you kindly get out from the corner and sit somewhere more open?" He then looked at abigale. She was sleeping. Guess he wouldn't be moving too much. Or he could wake her up. He gently went about waking her. "Wolf pup would you take remus and move to one of the seats? While I think you have good intentions....some people do not appreciate touch. And I think you both could use space from each other" Please move without complaint please

He looked back at Linus. "If you are against the charms I do believe I have something for nicotine on me. But....I figure since Callie is in the kitchen perhaps I could teach you something" What is it about kids that made him this tired. This tired and willing to get them to stop growling at each other. If they didn't cooperate he was going to have to be more creative. This is what I get for avoiding my instincts for over a century.

"I apologise, Alexis, you can examine the kitchen, I have to go and deal with whats happening" Callie said with a sigh, as she retreated from the kitchen, back into the living room, just in time to see Linus essentially verbally abusing Abigale, despite the fact the girl was asleep against Magnus. She waited a moment, and then she approached Linus. "That girl is five years old. She watched her pack be killed one by one, finally her mother who was still holding her was killed. Someone hunted down the pack, killed them, leaving only Abigale and Quinton. Can youimagine how she must have felt, everything her father had to leave her with a stranger, on a fall moon, so that the Hunter wouldn't find where she was, wouldn't trace him back to her? Can you imagine how she must have felt, never knowing if her father would come back each full moon? She's five years old, and she's had more suffering then someone 12 times her age. She's had more suffering then you, and yet, she just wants to be happy. Just wants others to be happy as well. She's five, amd doesn't understand boundaries, doesn't understand personal space, she's five, teenagers were just attacked by a werewolf and she's probably terrified a hunter will come, will destroy the life her father has managed to make for her. She's five, child, and just wants a friend"

Callie spoke calmly, picking up the charms, she moved over to Linus, "you do not realise how close Abigale came to being like you. Living on the streets, alone, and hunted. You think her arrogant, when she is just trying to adapt to a world that wants her to survive. When she knows stuff, bjt doesn't know how to articulate it. You are expecting a lot for a child, because despite everything, that is what Abigale is, a child. She's five years old, and despite everything, she puts trust in people."

Callie sighed softly, "I know you have suffered yourself, I know how hard it is to live on the streets. I have been tnere myself, only recently. I also knlw what it is to be new to the craft to not have any idea what I'm doing, what i am capable off. And i know, clear as day if you don't change even a little bit, if you don't begin to trust and believe in people, you will go dark side." she said, and quickly she looped the charm for addiction over Linus's head, not once touching him, flicking a glance over to Magnus, and letting him know that in no way, was she letting him fuel the childs addiction, much less, at the moment, teach him anything. "Do not remove that charm, i won't have you seizing in my living room when I can do something about it. You keep on going on about being kidnapped, but i am not the person tnat kidnapped you. I will not hold you against your will, but nor will I allow you to walk out of here, when you will deteriote, when you will seize. You want answers? Fine"

Callie shifted slightly, narrowing her eyes at Linus, hands on her hips, "I, quite like you, were born a witch. You wish to know why you are here? Because the alpha of this town, Zoe, wants you to be here, because she knows I can help you. Because in ten years, she doesn't want to have to kill you when you go bat crap crazy. Because I can help you. Because right now, this is the safest place you can be. Because not even two hours ago, a horde of teenagers were attacked by a rouge werewolf-because yeah, they exist. Because Klamath Falls is a beacon for supernatural activity, and if you don't believe me, which I can tell you don't, how about a little demonstration, and i'm more skilled then Alexis" Callie didn't even mutter a few words, she merely twisted her fingers in a few hand gestures, a minature lightning storm forming in her hand, to dance and spark a moment, before dying.

"You, child, are ignorant of the world around you. I can help you. My charms are quite exquisite. And they are harmless. The ingrediants are all herb and plant based. And with a little bit of magic, they become something wonderful. I will never give you a charm, or spell that will force you to stay, that will take your will away from you, your choice. Never. Because I am not a black witch. I am white, and I plan to make sure, whether you stay or not, that you don't go black." She shifted, and with a little bit of power, the front door opened.

"Go, if you so wish. I won't keep you against your will, child. But I can teach you, I can give you a home. With Zoe's help, and her families, we can ensure that the police won't even know you exist. We can get the paperwork to foster you, quite easily. Its your choice. Do you want to go out there, be alone again, and maybe die each time you have a seizure, or do you want a place where you can get help, without having to steal from hospitals, without having to fear the cops, and whatever else is out there? Its your choice, child."

Linus's mouth dropped open slightly in absolute shock and disgust. Callie had come storming out of the kitchen, and instead of offering console to the child whom her colleagues had kidnapped, she stood up in defense of the girl. Over the course of her lecture, she insinuated that Abigale had "suffered more" than Linus, even though she clearly had no idea where Linus was from and what had happened to land him on the streets. She then went on to assert that Linus should cut Abigale slack for being a child, even though Linus was only five or six years older at most and a child himself by anyone's book. She then threatened him with "going dark side" if he didn't start believing and trusting people who bloody kidnapped him. She topped it all off by calling him ignorant.

The whole thing was surreal, really. He couldn't believe that an adult would be so ignorant (for lack of better terms) of why a child might not be keen on being kidnapped, talked down to by a peer, and treated as if he should have known all this magic business that he hadn't grown up with. He was taken aback, more than anything. More than a bit upset and perhaps a little frightened, but mostly just completely and utterly floored by Callie's complete lack of understanding.

"...Well." He choked out after a long silence. "T-thank you for that charming display of the white side of witchery. I think... all my questions have been duly answered. With all due respect, I'd absolutely love to see what the dark side has to offer." He forced a wide grin, backing off towards the door. "Good day, chaps... and for the record, Magnus, I appreciate your efforts to help. But I really must decline." And with that, the witch child pivoted around and sprinted out the door like a bat out of Hell.

"No, you don't, Linus, You really don't..." Callie spoke his name, sighed, her voice filled with a fear that caused it to shake, "You can't run forever" She watched him go, a little sadly. She walked behind him, stood at the door, worried. "I'm sorry...The offer is always here, child." She watched him go, heart heavy. There was darkness to the air, and she hoped the child would be alright. "I hope that you will understand...before its too late. I hope that you will let me understand, before its too late..."

There was still a wolf out there, and with Zoe distracted by the teenagers...Callie didn't want to think about the child out there, alone, unprotected. Perhaps she shouldn't have let him go, but how could she ever gain his trust, if she kept him there against his will? Hopefully he would keep the charm on. She didn't want to think what might happen if the boy took it off, couldn't get any nicotine. A fragile child...And it was saddening to know that he couldn't sepearte her, from those that had kidnapped him. She hadn't asked for him to be brought to her, but she was willing to open up her home, to let him in. She would have let him go, earlier, if the house hadn't locked down. And maybe there wouldn't have been as much damage done, to send him running.

Perhaps the damage was done. Perhaps this was the boys decent into darkness, and she couldn't do anything about it. Sighing, Callie muttered a few words of magic, ensuring that she'd know if the child was near anything supernatural and in trouble. She'd jump to the closest Lay-line, and be there to make sure he was okay, even if he didn't want the help.

"Please be okay..." She had another young witch to deal with, but Callie stood there, heartsick. Would she fail the next generation of witches? Callie stood uncertainly in the doorway, not knowing what to do, before she sighed, and went to return to Alexis.

Alexander Flores

Location: Turner's Garage

Turner's Garage in Shadow Falls was a local business owned by the local gearhead himself, Turner. The business wasn't big and it wasn't booming but the place made due just fine. The building wasn't especially close to any other shops or businesses, more on the outskirts of the main part of the city. It was late, and technically the garage was already closed. But Alex was working a little overtime, though it was hard to say if he'd even be getting paid for said overtime. The place was currently a little shorthanded so they were behind on jobs, Alex had just opted to try and get more done before he left for the night. Turner, had gone home hours ago leaving Alex to close up on his own, which happened about half the time.

Earlier he'd heard several sirens rushing by, heading for the hospital. Both ambulance and police sirens, causing him to wonder what his mother was up to currently and what was going on. This had only distracted him from the grind for a few minutes before getting back to it.

Alexander stood in the service pit underneath one of their clients cars, staring up at the under carriage of the vehicle with a look of frustration. He was wearing a dark blue jumpsuit with black smears of oil and grease here and there, his forearms and hands looked the same as the sleeves were pushed up while he worked. A TV played up in the corner near the office area, a soccer game was going on and the man had been listening to it as he attempted to decipher exactly what was wrong with Mrs. Jones damn mini-van. The van was brought back seemingly every other week with the same problem or a new one ailing it. Turner claimed Mrs. Jones was only doing it to try and get Alex's attention, but Alex blew that claim off. While he wasn't sure the woman understood he played for the other team that didn't mean she'd go through all this trouble for something along those lines, Alex was sure the van had some underlying problem he hadn't thought of.

The game in the background started blaring a horn as one team scored and in his concentration Alex missed which team it'd been. Peeking from between the car and the floor of the auto shop he could see the scoring. Huskies-4, Kings-6. "You've got to be kidding." He grumbled, his fist hitting the auto shop floor followed by a slight hiss at the stinging sensation whilst he pulled the hand back towards him and giving it a shake. Alex moved a few steps to his left whilst in the pit back to his original spot, then with a huff he decided to take a break if not quit for the night. So he moved out of the pit slowly and into the lobby of the shop where the customers could wait if they wanted. A desk, some lobby chairs, a plant, and finally the vending machine that was Alex's destination. He pulled out his wallet and put the bill into the machine choosing the can of Sprite, and once he'd retrieved it he stepped out the front door for a moment of fresh air.

The night air felt nice as Alex leaned his back against the building and proceeded to drink his beverage. The only light in the immediate vicinity was one streetlight and the light spilling out onto the sidewalk area from inside. Otherwise he was in a rather empty parking lot except two vehicles, one being his own and the other being a broken down clients Mazda that hadn't been moved inside because lack of space. Staring out at the lights of Shadow Falls just down the hill from Turner's establishment, Alexander released drawn out sigh whilst deciding whether to be done for the night or not. And just what he was going to do with the rest of his night if he did leave.

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Cedar Ash Inn
Interacting with: Abigale Matson, Callie Lenson@Caits and Magnus Bane@BlackPanther

Alexis, for a moment, roamed the kitchen. Trying to take it all in. Some of the herbs and leaves the young warlock recognized. But those that she didn’t were in the vast majority. With her finger she traced it all, trying to get a feel for them. Surprisingly some leaves were soft while others slippery. Some were fresh though most seemed to have been dried. Eventually, she kneeled down to the one thing that bound the whole place together. A, to Alexis, massive magical circle. Of course, she was no stranger to the magic circles. But this one was absolutely, mind-bogglingly massive. And it wasn’t like it was half-empty either. Every line, every marking, every minor detailed felt like it harmonized the entire circle. Like it was meant to be this big. Carefully she ran her finger along the edge. Circles had a tendency to gather or channel magic. Alexis didn’t know what it was exactly. But they always seemed to almost ‘hum’ with the earth’s endless flow of magic. This one was far from an exception. When Alexis touched it, she thought for a second she could almost see the magic run through the world around her. It blew in the wind, it ran with the water and crawled through the earth beneath. It felt so serene.

But while magic itself was clearly a calm force right now, other things weren’t. Alexis wasn’t deaf to the commotion happening within the next room. Alexis merely nodded when Callie apologized and moved towards the other room. But the little warlock was ever a curious one. So as Callie came out of the kitchen, Alexis remained in the kitchen but opened the door just a little. So she could peek. A shiver went down Alexis’ back as Callie told Linus about Abigale’s life. What was even more odd was the strange whispering she started to hear in odd voices. Old voices. “The witch is right.” One spoke, airless, lipless from nothingness. “There are so many things in this world.” Another spoke, not quite with the same voice but with the same ghastly tone. “So many dreadful creatures!” A third voice joined the whispering chorus. The bodiless voices kept whispering amongst each other. They were barely audible. But still very much there, in Alexis’ mind.

Then Callie started talking about Zoe. The name dropped again. Zoe, the woman who could command Magnus. Zoe, who could order a fallen angel around. Zoe, who could even ask a favor from Callie. And now, Zoe the Alpha werewolf. Alexis felt like she would meet Zoe sooner, rather than later. “But look now, child.” Said one of the voices as Alexis had dropped into her own thoughts again. She was right in time to see Callie summon her spell. The young warlock’s reaction was quite clear: pure wonder. She couldn’t control a simple gust of wind in the house. Yet Callie summoned a miniature storm in her own living. Alexis stood in awe with her mouth open and eyes wide. “Witness…power.” One voice said, after which all the other voices died down.

Only children would talk about evil so casually. Only fools. Of course, Alexis wasn’t well versed in any of the concepts of magic. Until two hours ago, the concept of white and dark magic was utterly strange to her. But she figured that they didn’t call it blue or red magic for a reason. Whatever dark magic was, it had consequences. Alexis felt rather lucky she hadn’t, accidentally, dabbled in it. But she felt rather angry at the stupidity of the kid. In a spree of bad decisions, he eventually ran out of the house.

Alexis never fashioned herself as courageous. In fact, in private, she’d call herself a coward sometimes. Often for not acting out against her bullies, fearing their reaction. But she, sometimes, called herself a coward because she didn’t say what someone really needed to hear. Though, right now she had cowered behind a door a little too long, watching it all unfold. She opened the door and walked up to Callie, saying: “Callie, I-I only know you for a few hours now. I think. I just… wanted you to know that I think you’re a good person.” She then looked at the front door through which Linus ‘escaped’. “Even if some people don’t realize that.” For a moment she remained silent as she kept her eyes down as she fidgets with her fingers. “So –euhm-“ she looked up again, now at everyone in the room. “Who’s Zoe?” she sheepishly asked. To Alexis it felt like the stupidest of questions. How could she not know the absolute leader of all supernaturals in Klamath Falls!?

Magnus Bane

Magnus watched Linus leave and slightly heard the spell she used. He paused in the doorway before seeking out an owl. His left eye shifted for a moment to snake like before he turned. Once again his left eye is blinded to the room, yet he navigated it fairly well. He sat down in a chair and debated if bringing out a flash where children are is really that ethically wrong. Magnus forgot about that once he saw how callie was. "He will be alright. If anything happens to him you will know and I will tell you what is happening." The owl he was watching through let out a faint hoot and he felt himself sigh.

Magnus tilted his head when Alexis appeared out of the kitchen. She asked about zoe and that caused him to rise out of the chair. His gaze went to callie for a moment before going back to alexis. He opened his mouth ready to answer but closed it and slid his hands into his pockets. Zoe was the alpha werewolf of the pack he had chosen to align himself with...so he wanted to answer, but he did not feel like getting his eyesight snapped back to him.

Once again he debated the moral side of drinking in a room that had a small child. However, he felt somewhat suspicious of the girl standing there. What was she all about anyway and how did she perform that blood magic so easily. He was very tempted to ask her to tell more about herself, but that was certainly not fully his place. She was under Callie and magnus trusted the witch.

Callie was still troubled about Linus. She looked over to Alexis when the girl approached her, wondering if this would be the beginning of the end of her teaching. Was Alexis going to walk out, as well? She stiffened slightly, preparing herself, part of her still on Linus hoping that the young boy was okay. She watched Alexis, ready for the blow. What she wasn’t ready for was the girl to say what she did, and Callie stood there, blinking a little faster than normal, as she sought to gain control of herself before she fell apart. ”Thank you, Alexis.” She said softly, her voice a little uneven as she spoke. Why did she feel like a terrible person, then? She drew in a deep breath, steadying herself. ”thank you, Magnus. Would you mind taking Abigale up to her room? She can’t sleep there all night” She said, managing to give him a small smile. Callie knew full well that Magnus was terrified of children, and yet someone had to take the girl back to bed.

Poor thing. She was going to have a long road ahead of her, the adult like little girl would always struggle with such things, and Callie’s heart went out to the girl. She glanced to the front door again. Was there something else she could have done, to convince Linus to stay? Maybe she should have told him, about her visions and what had led her here. But no, she doubted the boy would have believed her. She looked back to Alexis, and scooping up Tigre once more, she motioned over to the chairs by the fire again.

”Zoe Flores. She is the alpha here in town, the leader of the pack. She is a powerful supernatural being, and a woman I respect very much. Let me tell you a bit about werewolves, in general. You have the alpha, who is, regardless of age, or gender, or even whether they were bitten or born, being the leader of the pack. You have two types of alpha’s, one who stole power from another alpha, and then you have true alpha’s, who ascend to that position based on their personalities, these alphas are more powerful, and they are born for the position, you cannot steal a true alpha’s power. Zoe is the later” Callie said, ”And then you have the betas, still kicking quite a punch, but they are, generally speaking, beneath alphas. Then, there are omegas, the normal wolves generally speaking. And finally, The lone wolves. They don’t have much power, not being apart of a pack” Callie said, deciding for the moment to leave the rest out. It didn’t need to be said, just yet.

”It is enough to Know that Zoe is out there, that she has Klamath falls best interest at heart. You will meet her, soon I think. You need not fear, Alexis. She is...she can be a tad cold, and reserved at least until she knows you aren’t a threat. Which is reasonable, she has her pack to think off. However, I think we won’t bother her for tonight, nor perhaps tomorrow. She is going to have her hands full with the new additions to her pack, I’d think”
