Personality: Watari Ena is, first of all, shy and timid towards those that are new to her. However, once she gets used to a person she is much livelier compared to before. Still, if someone interests her she will eventually gather the courage to talk to them, though not get too attached: it hurts her to have to say goodbye to them after constantly transferring. Ena likes to try new activities and food, though her concerns about maintaining her weight lead her to exercise fairly regularly to keep her. While on the subject, Ena likes to do physical activities such as run every morning and is always up for a little bit of climbing, no matter where it may be.

Ena is a very curious person, having always been interested in the rumors that make it to her. This includes the various ghost stories that circulate. Finally, Ena is nice to a fault and treats others in a manner of respect at the very least and values her friends, for she does not have many due to her constant transfers from school to school.

History: Ena was born under a father who was and still is an officer in the Japanese Self-Defense Force(JSDF) and a mother who is a businesswoman who frequently travels abroad. At first, Ena went whereever her father went living in a nearby apartment along with her mother as the parents decided that she will live with her father. As a result of staying with her father Ena was widely considered a military brat and detested this fact. Despite her feelings about the subject, her father taught Ena basic discipline and self-defense, emphasizing "Ena, you will eventually need this either to protect your friends or yourself. Pay attention!" And so, throughout her years of schooling she always had those lessons of hand-to-hand after school either through her father or a trusted family friend, giving her no time to do any other activities such as clubs or looking into any rumors that piqued her interest. Though Ena liked the work-out and enjoyed the time she spent with her father, she always felt that her curiosity was unsatisfied.

Ena's mother, on the other hand, was not home as frequently as her father who was on garrison duty. However, when she was home Ena was always happy to see her mother who brought souvenirs from all around the world. This ranged from a small bald eagle statue from the United States to the recipes for a "biscuit" from Britain to the Chinese calender from China. These little curiosities always brought up questions in her mind, in which her mother always answered kindly. Lesson wise, Ena's mother taught her to be polite to everyone and not be afraid to to satisfy her curiosity if given the chance. She also taught Ena how to be productive at home, something her father was not good at.

When Ena was nearing her time to choose a high school, her parents told her to choose any school she wanted, with a recommendation to Yurei High School due to it's ease of access for the both of them. Both respecting her parent's wishes, desiring a stable place to stay and passing the entry exams, Ena's parents gave her a modest sum of money and allowed her to live in her own apartment. Entering the school, Ena heard plenty of rumors of ghost stories and other supernatural tales. Upon hearing that the occult research club was now open, Ena's curiosity won out and she decided to join the club, both to satisfy her curiosity for the ghost stories and attempt to make new friends.

Skills:

Knows self-defense hand-to-hand techniques- Ena knows self-defense and though hesitant to use it is willing to do so for any friends she makes. If frightened, Ena may resort to these techniques by instinct.

Fit- Ena is fit for a person who is not in any athletic events due to this lifestyle being beaten into her from day one. Though no champion by any means, Ena is at least good at endurance runs especially. She is also a avid climber.

Disciplined- Ena was taught discipline from a young age and knows how counter her instincts if the situation calls for it.

Organization- Ena is good at organizing, and is in fact a neat freak. To her, everything has its place and there is a place for everything.

Orientation-wise, Ena goes both ways. She never put any thought in whether she likes men or women but is attracted to whoever catches her eye.

Name: Asahiro Yuki

Gender: Androgynous Female

Age: 18

Appearance: Yuki, in her love for confusing others, kept her dark hair short like that of a boy's. She claims it's easier for her too. Her eyes are hazel brown that often links with happiness and mischievousness. She stands at a tall height of 5'10". She has a rather athletic type of body and obviously not well endowed with her assets, not that she minds. Surprisingly, she managed to convince the school to let her wear the male uniform. On causal days, jacket and pants are the way to go.

Personality: Yuki is a rather fun loving girl which gave birth to her being alright with people confusing her for another gender and even feeds the confusion just for fun. She doesn't take a lot of things seriously and is the type of person who just lives in the moment. She's quick to try new things but doesn't stick with anything for long, hence why she joins athletic club practices but was never an official member. Nothing has caught hiercomplete interest yet it seems. Her usual cheerful attitude makes her a pretty approachable and friendly person. Though for people who want to have intellectual discussions, she's probably not your girl. Although she can have pretty smart inputs, her tendency to not want to think too much about things gets in the way of this.

Yuki is a big fan of horror and supernatural stories. It makes for a good movie, a good book and a good story if written properly after all! However, she doesn't truly believe in the supernatural. She finds that this only happens in movies and people put 'based on a true story' for the extra spooky factor. However, she doesn't openly deny belief when people start talking about how they encountered otherworldly spirits and the likes. In fact, she would likely express extreme interest in the subject and have them recount their whole experience. She's quite curious on whether or not these alleged spirits actually exist but hasn't actively sought to explore herself... until now at least.

History: Yuki, unfortunately, lived a childhood of a bullied person. Her androgynous appearance often caused this. Both males and females teased her and alienated her because of her appearance and she found herself with no friends in her school. "Well, at least I wasn't physically abused," she would often say at present time when recounting this tale. When her parents caught wind of this, they decided to move towns so Yuki can get a fresh new start. And a fresh new start she did get. She grew out her hair so that she would look more like a female even if she didn't like long hair. While they didn't understand at first, they grew to like Yuki. Her best friend at that time helped her overcome her hatred over her androgynous appearance and even deemed it as 'cool'. She cut her hair short after that and she started to frequently joke about it and confuse both underclassmen and upperclassmen alike about her true gender.

Upon reaching adolescence, it became apparent that she could play her 'what's my gender' trick a lot better. Her voice, instead of becoming high pitched like most of her female friends, remained the way it is - low for a girl and average for a guy's. She also got involved in a lot of other sports - often using her androgynous appearance to be able to play with the boys - and she found great love for it though she just couldn't choose which sport she liked the most so she just bounced between sports. This continued on to her highschool days. All was fun and well but then her mother became ill and her father was working twice as hard to be able to pay for hospital bills. That was when she knew she had to work as well. Her focus on the current events in her life is the reason why she doesn't care for the future - she had to survive the present first.

Imagine her surprise when he found a note with pictures in his locker. It was blackmail! It was join the Occult Club or else this will spread to the whole school type of deal. It was pictures of her working. She laughed it off and approached the club president herself. She assured that the president only needed to ask her to join and that there was no need to blackmail her. Yuki joined immediately after talking it out with the president and giving her back the letter and pictures "just in case she decided to leave". For once, she figured that maybe she finally found something that she would stick by... not including the fact that the president could always blackmail her into submission.

Appearance:
She has a long blonde hair and amber eyes that she inherited from her foreign mother. She stands quite tall compared to girls on her on her age, around 5'8". She is pretty well-endowed compared to the other girls of her age, a fact that is especially visible once she's in her gym uniform, to the delight of the boys. You will most likely see her with a smile on her face.

Personality:
The prim and proper princess of the school, she has many adoring fans that would love to have her in their club. However, she instead joins the occult club, which many thinks doesn't suit her at all. After all, she's one of the smartest students in the school, so there's no reason why she would believe in things like that. They are mistaken however, as she has an open mind and doesn't think that ghosts and other supernatural beings could not exist. It doesn't mean that she believes they exist either, so that is why she decides to join the occult club, just to see if there's any weight to the supernatural rumors floating around in the school. She is a curious person after all.

Being in the last year and studying for her college entrance exam, she is quite the responsible person. But sometimes she can feel a little bit stiff in her mannerisms, always speaking politely to everyone. She also often doesn't get a joke, thanks to her being overly serious most of the times. This leads her to become somewhat distant from everybody else, only having Yuki as a close friend.

She is quite easily embarrassed by the display of anything sexual, even including those of her own gender. She tried not to stare at the other girls while they were changing before gym class while trying to cover her own bra and panties from their eyes. She never really showed her discomfort in a really obvious way though so the other girls never really picked up on this odd habit of hers. This is the main reason why she rejected all those underclassmen who tried to ask her out, well, other than she not really knowing anything about them.

History:
Daughter of a CEO of a large company, she was raised in a high class environment. She went to school every day on a car, driven by her family's driver. Her friends quickly noticed that, and combined with her refined and elegant appearance, quickly applied the Princess moniker to her.

She also joined the occult club as a way to spend her free time in an interesting way, as back home, her parents were often preoccupied with their own works so they didn't have time for her. This led her to having her own independence, like telling the driver when she had a change in her schedule, since they trusted her as their responsible daughter. So there would be no problem with her staying until late night for the occult club if she wanted to.

Skills:
She is smart and well-versed in pretty much all of the subjects being taught at the school, especially since she had private tutors to help her with her studying. She is not as well-versed in the manners of the occult however, as she really didn't have any interest with it until now. However, she is a quick learner, and she will gladly pick up a book or two to learn about the supernatural being the club is tackling.

Name: Zane Wulf

Age: 17

Appearance:

Personality: On the surface, Zane seems to be a delinquent. He often comes into classes late, often with bruises, and is constantly getting into fights. The kendo club once tried to invite him, but fled when he glared at them.
In truth, Zane suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism that makes it hard for him to understand others. This is the reason he rarely speaks, as he spends more time than most attempting to comprehend what they were actually saying to him. It takes a while for thoughts to get lodged in his mind, but when they do they don’t leave.
One of these thoughts is a sense of justice and honour. The reason he started getting in fights was because he saw one of his classmates getting attacked by delinquents. He beat them senseless, but they had friends and those friends had friends, and... well, you get the idea.
The main passion in his life is the study of history. You might say he’s a bit of an otaku in that area. But due to his delinquent reputation, the clubs to do with history were too scared of his presence. Out of all the clubs of that ilk, only the Occult Club was crazy kind enough to let him join.

History: Zane’s family runs a swordfighting dojo just out of town. Since a young age, his father put him through hellish training, in order for him to inherit the dojo. Although Zane wanted to become a historian, he couldn’t bring himself to tell his father. As such, he continued his training while studying in secret.
At school, up until high school, Zane remained under the radar. A loner, yes, but not someone to take note of. That all changed during the first spring of high school. He was walking home from the sports store, having gone down to replace his practice swords, when he came across one of his classmates being extorted by a group of ne'er do wells. He stepped in and told them to quit picking on the weak.
Naturally, they took this as incentive to fight. With his swords in hand, the fight took less than five seconds. The delinquents told him they'd remember this, which confused Zane who thought that would be obvious. When he told his father about what happened, he suggested that he carry his practice swords around as a precaution.
Word got around about the swordsman, and delinquents from all over the prefecture called him out to fight. A point of pride, in his father’s opinion, was that he had never lost in a one-on-one fight. But Zane didn’t care about that. The reputation he had built up meant that people avoided him, and thus they ran away when he tried to join the history club. When he saw the advert for the occult club he figured, why not? Demons and the like were parts of most cultures, and it’d be interesting to see their take on the supernatural.

Skills: A regional-level swordsman. He uses a style that shifts between one and two swords, designed for adapting to the flow of battle. Though he only allowed to carry wooden swords, it still strikes fear into the hearts of his fellow students when he unsheathes his blades. He has an affinity for the study of history, and is proficient in reading Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.

Name: Shibuya, Haru

Gender: Male

Age: Eighteen

Personality: Haru is a bashful young man who tends to stutter when spoken to. Paired with his colossal lack of confidence, it doesn’t seem to help that he has terrible luck; he is always conveniently there when disaster usually strikes, making him quite fearful of everyone and everything around him. Quite the maladroit, he is potentially a danger even to himself. Despite being such a klutz, he does the best to not to be a burden to other people, especially his friends. Because of his mild disposition, he has been made a target of by bullies; thus he becomes easily attached to people who showed him kindness, and if they would become his friends he would do everything to be of use to them—even if it meant facing his fears.

History: Haru was but an accident in the life of his father. Because of the grandparents’ pressure on wanting a grandchild, the father convinced the mother—who was his girlfriend at the time—not to drop the child; eventually marrying her soon after the boy was born. Being a mishap, Haru wasn’t really given the love he should’ve had; thus the grandparents chose to raise the child instead.

The boy grew up with his grandparents—knowing the vast lands of the countryside all his life in the small town they lived in—barely seeing or hearing a word from any of his parents besides the occasional monthly allowance given to the older couple. Haru felt detached to the toys his grandparents claim to say were from his parents; though eventually they stopped telling him those claims. Being a very young boy then, he chanced upon his grandparents’ conversation late at night; his parents were planning a divorce that year. Whether understanding what that meant or not, to Haru, it was his grandparents who really mattered to him ever since.

His life with his grandparents was quite peculiar—when compared to another boy his age—for reasons that his grandparents themselves were peculiar individuals. His grandmother was a traditional Japanese woman—though considerably a little too paranoid with the occult; whilst his grandfather a painfully staunch zealot when it came to anything related to extraterrestrials. Despite the eccentricity of the couple, Haru loved them very much; unfortunately thanks to them, he had grown to be a paranoid individual as well. It couldn’t be helped when his grandmother would tell him of Japanese folklores and ghost stories; these tales meaning to scare children into behaving have proven to be more than effective than it should’ve been and persevered throughout his adolescence.

Being quite a sheltered, weak-witted boy, Haru was often taken advantage of, and this was no different when the infamous Occult Club President approached him with a proposal to join her motley group. Although a little apprehensive, and mildly terrified at the concept, Haru meekly accepted her offer. Besides, it was the first time he had been welcomed forced to join something that didn't shun him away at the mere sight of him.
