He doesn't know what they are yet, I was going to have him figure it out next post, and join the demons. Either from someone character, some NPC, or just helping them kill the humans.

That's not how the War works. If he's fighting right now, he should have a clear view of what Demons, Angels, and Humans are. Unless he was just born into the Nexus yesterday, his ignorance is not accepted. Furthermore, this also causes complications for other players in interacting with him so I suggest taking away this trait.

@TheWindel The whole thing was that he essentially was born into the nexus yesterday. He just got out from the weird ass pocket dimension and the first thing he did was suck a bunch of info from the random dude, he just got here basically. If that's not OK I'll think of a way to change it, but he's not going to be ignorant of what demons and angels are from much longer. He just doesn't know yet, he's gonna figure it out next post. Again, I'll change it if that's best.

EDIT: also you're probably right about how it might be awkward about him not know of the other races, I'll change it so that he knows about them in the same way a common human knows about them. The person he absorbed the memories from thinks about them as far off things, so he'll know what demons and angels are, but he won't really know what they look like. Makes it easier for RP, so he can interact, but still be interested in these new things.

@KoL He's in the graveyard killing the spirits and undead? The post said there were undead there, and since they are shaped like humans he considers them like that. The plan was for him to meet a demon person, probably vampire rose chick and have her get him to join by telling him he can kill a bunch of humans in the war.

Also did I misread the post, I thought the whole place was a giant graveyard? So I was just having him pop in in some random section of the graveyard, and eventually end up where the other people are. Where he sides with the side that looks least like humans, eg. Demons. If that doesn't work I can change it, but I can't see what you mean by he's already in the basilica.

He's description is incredibly hard to understand. You described light rays over head but that only happens in the basilica for the time being. Also, the entry posts makes it clear that there's only one way to get in there and it's through the faction specific portal. I can let this one go, since he was out of the RP for ages so it's possible that he reached the Graveyard on his own.

Either way, please make something less confusing next time. It's impossible to tell what's happening on your post without outside questioning like this. At least decide on his proper position and make that clear for us. Could make it so that you don't induce us to think that there are humans there when there's none as well, by using narration to explain that this is Maven's delusions, not what's really happening.

Also, keep in mind that Victoire would know that he's around, if he plans to sneak on her, unless he's a robot or other undead that's not a vampire/lich/similar thing. Also, currently she's on the Demon sector of the battlefield, planting traps, be aware of that if you plan to approach Victoire.

Other than that your post is relatively good, but please don't be this misguiding in the future.

I'll accept this. But this needs to be made more clearly for players on an OOC level.

@KoL My bad, I was trying to describe that the lights were in the sky and far way in the distance. Also I'll make sure to show that the undead he thinks are humans is because of his delusions. Sorry about the messy description, made sense to me, but then again I got the whole thing in my head. Editing it now.

EDIT: Alright I finished an edit. Changed the description of when he first sees the undead and calls them humans so it now says he says that because of his delusion. Changed the description to show that the battle with Zac and Henry is far away. And changed the description so it now says he landed in The Graveyard when following after the guy's soul. Anything else you think needs changing would bee good to hear. Trying to make it as good as possible.

Quick mention, but Henry didn't punch Zak at all. He fired a corrupted hammer of lightning at him, Mjolnir to be specific. Just a heads up.

Just for the record, the holy fire Zak is using is harmless to allies. The lava could be fairly dangerous since its molten earth but the extreme heat radiating out for the hundred+ meters doesn't effect the "pure of heart" aka forces of heaven.

Slow down, dude. Zack is starting to disgust me, this last post is close to the maximum I'll accept he being able to do. Seriously? Miles upon miles of unbeatable destruction without any form of preparation, just by standing there?

How is ANY OTHER CHARACTER IN THIS BATTLE BUT HENRY AND, THE OP AS HELL HARVESTER (which I'm actually going to look closely into as well to avoid the kind of thing that Zack is doing from happening twice) ever get even close enough of Zack to fight him?

That's really disgusting me, spewing forth continuous nuke levels of power, so slow down. At the very, very least, using this much power (that is probably way to close to Eye User levels of relevant exaggeration) will kill Zack in the process out drain him of power in the blink of an eye.

We have stick Henry and Grafdakka for that less absurd power playing in the past. Do not ignore this, Zack is at the very least go out of power in a very short order, of not not outright kill himself from too much exertion.

Oh, and let us not forget nosell man, aka Zeruel, who learned that no one is ignore the hard way.

In all sincerity, despite the crybabying about the Vassals (mainly Juno), even I was never shameless enough to did out this level of "You ain't gonna beat me", wide area kill zones out of the blue. If Zack pushed the argument forward, I'm really gonna strike him with the GM hammer. That's not a request at this point.

Poor Henry, he doesn't realize that anyone that gets too close to tungsten-melting fire (tungsten is the most refractory natural metal, melting at temperatures in the excess of 3k Kelvin) would get evaporated in a flash, literally.

Trying to observe this fight is like trying to watch a nuke explode with naked eyes, at this point, no one would like to do that for the 100% chance of going blind.

@KoL...There is no miles upon miles. The heat radius is just over 100 meters. That's 50 meters in each direction increasing by feet per minute around Zak. Not miles upon miles considering a mile is about 1600 meters. Then the Zak that shot into the ground created even more lava "for miles" downward I.E. the chasm which I did state was directly below Zak and Henry.

But of course Zak is going to burn out after the fight or at least that was the plan once we exchanged a few epic blows and damaged each other. Then after an awesome fight going all out, Zak would go unconscious at least, if not die. Only I was hoping to get at least a single hit in on Henry at some point with at least one thing but of course not a single scratch and barely a sweat as he easily avoids or deflects everything even though this is everything Zak has and is apparently bored with it. Zak's full force...The proverbial and literal final form he has. I didn't intend for the fight to be that much of a spectacle but considering it takes a lot to even compete with the ability of creation itself I thought I would try. That's why I didn't complain about it when every single attack was rendered completely ineffective. I just tried to work around that fact to see how hard I would have to try to get a hit in...like...one. Not even a significant one but it's not fun to bring out your characters full force only for it to be shaken off like its childsplay. So yeah I'll admit I kept upping the play until Zak could at least seem to be on equal footing with Henry. Obviously to no avail as even all the absurd disgusting ridiculousness you just pointed out is just as easily dealt with.

All that said, I have no problem toning down or editing out whatever the issue is. I haven't been around in the roleplay long enough to push the limits of power and it was just explained to me a little while ago the word super weapon had a whole new meaning in this universe and what we typically consider to be a super weapon would be like a water gun by comparison. So my frame of reference hasn't been totally established accept by looking at the more powerful cs's in the character section. So I'm fine with changing or applying anything. Just let me know.

Alright, I kinda see things from your perspective. I've been dodging a bit too much for this one specific fight and I can see that it would be quite annoying to have everything your character does be shrugged off. However I would like to point out that Henry literally cannot afford to be hit at this point. You've escalated to where if Henry gets hit at all, he will die. He won't just die, he will be atomized by any of Zak's attacks. I would have been fine with just a normal battle with Zak throwing around fire spears and Henry shooting at him or trying to slice him in half. You escalated to max power immediately. But I do recognize that writing Henry to be so bored is aggravating coming from the other side of things.

@KoL

And yeah realistically speaking Henry would've died from just the heat. Wasn't aware of the specifics behind it but I know that under normal circumstances anyone would die once you've hit a certain temperature. However we're operating by anime rules right now, which means Henry can survive in insanely high temperatures because he's got the super special heat armor on. Unless you say he can't. In which case, fuck.

@floodtalon@KoLI was thinking anime rules as well Basically XD. Like to be honest I just wanted it to be an even fight or at least seem like one. You know, earn the victory...whichever of us. But that boundary got pushed further and further away.

I haven't read everything of these replies yet, since I'm rather busy, but this is what I'd like to point:

The ground began to quake, trembling as magma and flames churned below the surface. Massive shifts in the landscape continued to rend across the graveyard. Buildings and gravestones sunk into the lake of molten rock, melting away as a fiery chasm slowly began to form at the heart of the battlefield. Miles of catacombs and cave systems directly below the battle between Henry and Zachariah had begun to collapse as the ancient foundations were filled with lava and melted away. The extra archangel swimming through the sea of fire as if it was water spawned several circles of runic symbols which trailed behind him along his path. He cut through the underground, traveling on tides of magma that bent to his will. Heavy stirring motion churned out of the circles and beings of fire began to form. Monstrous shapes swam beneath the coalescent wasteland, breaching the surface with large glowing talons as they slowly emerged. Titanic wings made of holy flames tore their way up from the scorching soil, displacing mounds of charred dirt and lava as they reached up into the sky. With a massive wing beat, a cyclone of sweltering winds swept over the land as the large winged beast of incandescent flames ripped out of the molten chasm in a massive explosion of debris and smoke.

I said that yesterday on this very thread. Do not deceive me or anyone else, with your flowery descriptions. If you write miles, it's miles that everyone is gonna imagine. Purple prose is good only up to a point, when it makes the text incomprehensible (which Zack has a very big tendency of doing, as I notice), it becomes a serious problem.

The only guideline all of us have to understand what's happening inside of the story is what any of us write, so... being clear could save us from a lot of headaches like this in the future, right? How many times was it that I said this on this very thread... to various people? Ahh... I just can't count anymore.

The hammer solves all problems, after all.

I feel I should also mention that Henry is definitely struggling in this battle. Aside from Juno this is the toughest foght he's ever been in, the reason he's so bored is because Zak doesn't have anything to say lol. I feel I could've communicated that better in my posts so my bad on that one.

@floodtalonI was leading up to dialog but it was supposed to start when Zak spilled Henry's blood :P. Gotta say...Henry was making that really hard. I do apologize for taking it so far though. I wasn't trying to disintegrate Henry, It just seemed more and more like it would take a miracle to even tickle him with all the doors and armor that appears to be anti Zak in the heat absorption properties. And it would be kinda awkward to write all that crap i wrote over the last three days just to peter out like...well...a candle...only with less flare.

Ok, so here's the deal. I'm not saying any of you cannot be powerful, that's fact. Henry is obviously fairly more powerful than Zack thanks to his Eyes, but I'm not asking anyone to die outright.

However, escalating the fight in a couple of turns to a level where no one else can even get close to it without becoming finely atomized particles, isn't doing favors to no one. Edits of IC posts are heavily frowned upon for their capacity to cause unneeded chaos and delay/completely change people's replies.

So, I say that, like every single character that has overextended and overexerted their powers up to now, Zack will have to pay the price by realizing his mistake when he goes out of power or burns himself in a very short order. It simply wouldn't be fair if we had bashed people in the past because of that and didn't do this to him so that's not really a question here. He dying because of hubris must happen in one or two posts at most.

Henry is mostly cool for the time being (given that he's trying to use his powers in a smarter way this time and I can actually see that he was struggling there for the first part of the battle), but I suggest that he gets at least tired, if not exhausted after this clash and has to avoid relying on his eyes so heavily for sometime. It doesn't need to be for the rest of the battle, but at least for a while he should need to catch a breath. Of course, Henry can always overextend as well, but he tasted the consequences of it on his flesh more than once in various battles. I guess that he knows what will happen if he pushes too far.

Other than this, I have no qualms other than implore for people's posts, in general, to stop deceiving each others because of excessive purple prose. This has become an increasingly complex problem to deal with and I'd like to not have to yell at you like a rabbid tiger every two or three days because of it.

After all, come on, I learned to be clear on my posts (to a point that I don't think is really needed, since I don't like setting hard numbers on this too much, but well), after the complaints about the nebulous nature of Victoire's roses echoed around for too long. I'm not asking any of you to not do anything that I'm not doing on my own. There's a pretty clear count down to doom on foot of my posts (a very, very slower one compared to every other battle Victoire has ever been in, should I say). Everyone here knows what happens when the roses grow to a size that they'll regenerate/keep growing at a faster rae than anyone can burn/destroy them.

If, and that's a big if, any Vassal controlled by me ever drops around to fight anyone actively (since they still exist as anti-idiocy deterrents, after all), then I'll afford to be nebulous given that they are living plot devices. Even with them, I never deceived anyone with purple prose on my posts and don't think I'll. There's no for anyone to know what's happening if the text isn't at least easy to understand.

This is the only thing I wish all of you get to understand. Because I'm none too happy of having to come here to do this kind of announcement for the third or fourth time in less then 2 months.
