Dubstepp regarded Karma's comment and tapped his chin. He never contemplated the concept of secret reward. It remained possible that Dubstepp's deed could lead to future events. As of now, the musician did not find a relationship meter in his menu. Like the Sims, there is no telling if he made friends with certain NPCs. After completing the guard quest, the chances of friending the guard master were up for speculation. Dubstepp's hopes were lifted when he began considering the man might invite him back again for better quests and rewards.

The musician nodded and said bye to the players near him. They all took off to prepare for the upcoming dungeon. Dubstepp placed his chin on the table and started to release an annoyed moan. The kid still thought the dungeon was a mistake. The risk proved to be way higher than the reward. Even then, Dubstepp wasn't entirely sure about the party's classes. Most of the team resembled a mage or a long ranged fighter. He hoped the two close-ranged fighters would be capable of fending off monsters.

Dubstepp sighed and pulled his head from the table. He rubbed his chin, thinking how everyone left to prepare for the journey,
he figured he should do the same. The kid left the inn and started striding down the street. His eyes squinted at the incoming light.
No matter how many times Dubstepp tried to tell himself, he kept forgetting none of this was real. All his senses sent messages to his brain that this was too realistic. The sun bathed his visible skin; it almost made him shiver.

Dubstepp shook his head and entered a nearby store. The establishment did not have a lot of elbow room because of its merchandise for sale. By immediate inspection, Dubstepped noticed only general goods for purchase. Looking at the shelves, the musician acknowledged he could at least find something of use. The kid did find some first aid lying around some medicine. He looked at the item and wondered if it was a safe purchase given that Karma could just heal him.

Dubstepp decided to buy the first aid knowing that there might be times when Karma is not around for a convenient heal. Going through the small aisles, the musician found more items for the dungeon. He picked up a canteen at the front counter. Dubstepp greeted a bright, young woman behind the desk. She flashed a comforting smile and began tallying up the items. After the order was said, Dubstepp fumbled for the right coins.

The musician headed back to the Inn to fill his canteen with fresh water. He looked at his menu for his remaining Renn and frowned. He acknowledged that after taking down the dungeon supposedly, he needed to find another quest to pay him. Once he got his canteen filled, he headed to the rendezvous.

And so the shopping continued. As soon as Alisea sighted the teachers all other concerns fell away. Her earlier, steady pace was discarded as her feet quickened, all but running to the NPCs that would teach her Actions and more Spells. The first she reached was the Universal Action Trainer; upon inquiring the price, and being informed that learning a level one Action cost only twenty-five renn, Alisea's eyes lit up. The mental calculation was done instantly; now she only had to decide which ones to choose.

The magess went through something of a transformation, mentally--though there was a subtle, physical change, too. Her mind honed in on the singular task of studying each and every option open to her, and determining which would be in her best interest. As her thoughts focused, her gaze reflected the shift: blue eyes shone so clear and sharp they could almost cut flesh. The magess moved from one teacher to the next, finding those she could learn from and mentally discarding those outside her class. She explored each Spell and Action as much as she could, learning everything about them the NPCs would share before she purchased any. In her head, Alisea was prioritizing which abilities she wanted most.

However, upon reaching the Universal Spell Teacher (she had introduced herself, but Alisea hadn't truly listened to the woman's name) Alisea paused in her search. The teacher was explaining Chakra Magic. Alisea asked again to be sure. Without another moment of hesitation the magess asked to learn Chakra Magic, gladly handing over the twenty-five renn. Accepting the payment, the teacher gave her a brief tutorial, first demonstrating its use and then allowing her student to practice once.

"Aster! Reylan!" Alisea called, the excitement unmistakable in her voice. Gathering her comrades to the teacher, and placing each hand on one of their shoulders, Alisea gently pushed them forward. "Learn Chakra Magic!" she commanded. Where were all the others at a time like this? Everyone needed to have this spell! With this, they would be able to survive indefinitely in a dungeon!

Leaving those two to their own learning again, Alisea finished perusing and began purchasing. Spell: Fire Strike; Wind Blade. Action: Dash; Palm Strike; Stunning Punch; Sidestep. The cost had mounted quickly, but she had enough remaining to buy a day's worth of supplies. With that business finally concluded, the magess closed her eyes, breathed in until her lungs were beyond full, and released her tension in a long sigh. When her eyes opened again, the sharpness was gone. Her perpetual soft smile returned to its place, and she returned to the side of her companions.

Alisea checked the time; she found more than half an hour had passed while she was studying and acquiring. It was nearly time to meet back with the main group. [i]And I do hope these two had a nice time while I was away,[i] came the playful thought as she slid into the space between Reylan and Aster once again. "One more stop for road food and I will be satisfied. So? What did you two purchase?"

Karma walked through the busing streets of Genesis city, moving through the crowd what players and NPC's alike with his hand press up against his temple. His eyes and ears kept a lookout for Reylan and the girl with a sword, through his primary was too buy some wares to prepare for today's operations. But before meeting up with Reyland and the other girl Karma spotted the mage shop where they sell magic wares, So Karma decided to see what they have before looking for his group.

Karma has then greeted a man in his 40's. "Welcome!" The shopkeeper greeted him before beckoning him to come closer to the front counter. "You must be a mage, come in and check out my wares...I'm sure you find something you like." The shopkeeper told him with beaming conference.

Karma saw no reason not do so even though this guy seems a bit bashful. Karma then looked at the man wares and noticed the Wood Taliman. "Excuse me but how much is that?" Karma asked him nicely, and just like the index suggested the shopkeeper proudly give him a wooden talisman for 100 reni, leaving him with 81 reni to spare.

Afterword Karma then left the shop and found Reylan, The sword girl(Alisea), and the samurai girl(Aster). "Hey!" He called out to the group before proudly showing them the Wooden Talisman hanging around his neck. "I read on the index, that Mage gets a discount on their first talisman purchase, so i decide to buy this. It only cost 100 Reni instead of the 200." Karma informed them proudly.

Aster held her hands out in a defensive motion, palms facing Alisea. "Oh, no, that's alright. I'm really not too interested in the whole magic thing. Thank you, though." She closed her eyes as she waited for everyone to finish up their shopping, and just took in everything around her; the scents, the blurred sounds, and the blessed absence of so much light. She nearly fell asleep; overall air of warm familiarity in the marketplace lulling her into a sense of security that she scolded herself for after.

Once Alisea asked about purchases, she finally had something to keep to herself. "I bought a secret weapon. I don't know if it'll work, but I'm hoping I can test it out soon. I heard something about unique skills that can be awarded to unique players, and so, if I'm lucky, this'll be a pretty decent advantage." He hand went to her pocket, where she felt the silky length of silvery-white cloth she'd bought. "Who knows. Maybe it'll make things worse."

The moment Alisea spotted the skill trainers was like watching a kid enter a candy store and she quickly darted off, leaving Reylan a bit lost for words. He looked over at Aster and simply shrugged with a light smile and then made his way to the trainers as well, trying his best not to leave Aster alone. He would need to be very careful with his choices, money was tight for him and he could only justify buying at most two skills based on the priced.

His process for selection was much less involved than Alisea's, simply looking at the raw description of the ability to determine its value. He only had the universal and archer trainers to work with since he doubted he could use a skill from another class. He spent little time at the Archer trainer, more so memorizing the next skills he would get when he got to level 5. He turned his head as he heard his voice called "What's up" Before he knew it, Alisea in her excited state herded him and Aster to the trainer selling the universal skills "Woah, wait a sec!" but she was already off, leaving them with one directive.

Reylan looked at the magic skill Alisea seemed so adamant about since he was just about to see this trainer anyway. A free action to restore a bit of MP? That could be the kind of edge that turns around a battle, this was an almost critical skill. Aster didn't seem to realize how handy this skill could be "Aster, I think really should get it. It costs no mana and restores some instead, even your actions cost mana so while it is magic it would only boost your fighting ability." He hoped she would change her mind as he purchased that skill and one called 'Bounty', which was an investment that he hoped would help offset his class's costs. He had hardly noticed she had moved to a different spot during his last purchase and moved to rejoin her.

For a few moments as he walked over, he saw Aster more relaxed than before and he had to admit it was pleasant to see. She seemed so tense around him that he hadn't gotten to see her relax yet. Even though they had walked next to each other as they shopped, letting Alisea go crazy, there still was a silence that stood strong. Reylan was not sure how to break it, he didn't want to say or do something that would make Aster dislike him so he said nothing instead until Alisea returned. A secret weapon? Was that what she bought while she was gone? "A secret-weapon sounds kinda cool." A bit of excitement thinking of what it could be coursed through him "Well I learned Chakra Magic and Bounty, which give me some extra Renn at the end of quests." Reylan was starting to grow concerned with how much he thought about money now. Just as he was finishing up he heard Karma's voice ring out to them wearing some kind of strange necklace "Hey Karma, man a discount must be really nice. Wait I thought you had a staff?" The excitement seemed to fly over his head. Honestly he had no clue what the difference between one was.

Admin's Timeskip - DAY 2, 10PM

You passed off your second day moving towards the dungeon after spending morning time as you choose. It is now 10pm. You just spent all day marching to your first dungeon: "The Hill's Sorrow" from Genesis. Even though nothing eventful happened on the way, you are all still pretty tired and hungry. You will camp outside the dungeon entrance for the night and go in first thing tomorrow morning.

OOC

So this is going to be the pre-dungeon rotational posting. Basically every time we set on a dungeon raid and initiate it (like right now) I'm gonna do one of these posts to get things organized. Everybody do ONE post each for the night. The order in which you post will be the rotational order for the entire dungeon raid. You can just small-talk, eat food, set up camp, etc. After everyone is done posting, I'll post again to initiate the dungeon. Essentially the speed at which things will progress from this point will be determined by the players since its going to be rotational.

Also don't worry too much about making mistakes and such as we go. First time we are doing this rotational combat system so I'm expecting a lot of hiccups. We should be master at this towards the end though haha.

Aura was gone. That single thought dominated his mind from the time they left the comfort of the city to their current location near The Hill's Sorrow dungeon. He had no clue whether she simply left during the night or if.....no, he didn't want to think about that possibility. Somewhere in Talrae, Aura was out there on her own....he wouldn't accept the ulterior. Still, it bothered him that she would leave so abruptly after seemingly changing her mind earlier during their talk. A new objective now came to him, every chance he got he would search for Aura. Whether she wanted to be found or not, he would learn where she was. This was the cause of his silence as they marched, only using simple and short replies if someone addressed him. It might seem silly to be upset about someone you hardly knew, but he had felt a friendship between them. Now one of the only people he knew in this world was missing.

The physical exercise of the march relived some of his worry and anxiety, the heaviness of his legs fighting for recognition in his thoughts. It was perhaps thanks to his agility and being reasonably fit that the long walk had not completely kicked his ass, though that didn't help with his growling stomach. He would have to thanks his parents for pushing him into sports instead of letting him play video-games all day long. While the scenery was certainly stunning, the lack of anything happening made it quite a dull transition. He had a new kind of appreciation for fast travel in games and faster in-game time.

Reylan helped set up a crude camp for the night, mainly the creation of a fire to keep them warm and light up the night. He found making such a fire extremely difficult without flint or logs of wood to fuel it, he tried in frustration using the tip of an arrow to create sparks on some wooden twigs and anything else he could gather around that was flammable and barely managed to get the tiniest of flames started. That was until Alisea came over and with a flick of her wrist, caused the entire thing to engulf in flames. Reylan nodded with a sheepish smile in thanks. After that he jammed a stick into the pork they got the day before and did his best to cook it, recalling all those weekends camping with his folks. The long trip had given him time to clear his mind and focus on the now, there was nothing he could do about Aura leaving them "So, anyone got any good scary stories?" He smiled huddled over the growing, fire. They had plenty of time to talk about strategy on the way here so now was the perfect time to relax before tomorrow. His hands took out the small knife he had purchased at the start, cutting a slice in the meat to see if was done enough. Seeing a majority of pink and barely cooked he sighed, and extended it out to Dubstep who he knew had some cooking skill "Could you please cook this for me, pretty please?" he asked hopefully. Otherwise he would do his best to cook it using his meager ability, it was better than nothing. A big grin and chuckle came at Alisea's response, it was certainly creepy enough.

After he ate his cooked pork, Reylan went to practice with the new rapier that Alisea had 'loaned' him on a defenseless tree. His uncle was a fencer but Reylan had never bothered to take lessons or even watch him in competitions so he only had the basic gist of how the weapon worked. He bent his elbow in front of him, extending the pointed end of the weapon outwards the trunk and with a fierce gaze sent the first thrust into the hard wood. A flurry of strikes came afterwards, feeling his agility work towards accelerating his movement and attack speed. Manual dodges and sidesteps were incorporated as he got used to attacking with it, it probably wouldn't do as much damage as his bow but that wasn't the point. This would keep him alive longer if an enemy got close even without any sword skills. After exhausting what energy he had left, he laid down on the grass next to the fire and easily fell asleep.

The journey--and particularly setting up camp--had revealed dozens of holes in their preparations. Nobody had a skill for firebuilding. Working off of no skill at all, Reylan had managed to coax the gathered brush into a flame (not with flint, of course, because nobody had brought some; instead Alisea had given him a light--carefully). Still, tat was something they would need to fix. Alisea was relieved to learn Dubstepp had a cooking skill; combined with Dirk's searching skill, they were able to keep the party fed--barely. Another item to improve upon. Sleeping for the night was going to be uncomfortable, all the more so if she was the only one who had purchased a blanket.

There was more. Beyond the failed preparations for an actual journey (something a gamer never had to be concerned about when playing on a screen), the party was still untested. They had run into a disappointing lack of trouble during the march, so all Alisea had for calculating was what each person had shared as they walked. Putting Dirk in the front was obvious, and he seemed quite happy there. Aster would be alongside him--and the pair had worked together already, so their cooperation should be a step above the rest of the group. The rest being Dubstepp the mage, Karma the healer, and Reylan the archer. Reylan had his rapier, so he could probably provide the best cover at mid-back--and that could help with his accuracy, too. Alisea would be alongside him, for the same reasons. Dubstepp would stay full back to keep Karma safe and lend fire support as he was able.

That was the general idea, anyway. Alisea had no idea what the dungeon would look like. If it was narrow corridors, the support at the back would have a hard time attacking around their allies at the front. If it was wide open, the chances of having only one front and a safe back were slim to none. A worst case scenario would be having to raid a settlement of some kind with back alleys and branching streets crisscrossing its entirety. It was a vain hope, Alisea was certain, but if the dungeon could just be medium sized rooms all stacked neatly next to each other that they could clear one by one, the raid would be easy. Or if it had to be in the open, let them be atop a rise or hill where the mages could destroy enemies before they could climb up. Or better yet--

"So, anyone got any good scary stories?" Reylan asked over the fire.

Startled out of her thoughts, Alisea looked at the archer over the fire. She had to replay the words in her mind before it registered. Even when it did, at first she wanted to dismiss it off-hand. But her eyes caught his over the crackling flame, and the magess paused to consider. She had been trying all day to assemble a workable strategy in her mind. There wasn't anything more she could do. Now would be a good time to think about other things--about rest and relaxing so they would all be ready for tomorrow.

"What? Do you mean ghosts and ghouls?" Alisea asked, the hint of an impending tease already in her voice. "We probably shouldn't say anything that would upset a ghost; I think I saw one following Aster on the march here. She might still be around, listening."

That was right. She couldn't stay focused on the numbers the entire time. People needed to relax and laugh, too. In an environment as stressful as this, all her comrades would need some relief. She could help them with that. That was what being a teammate meant--helping the members of your team, not just practice and improve, but also stay positive before the big game. So Alisea smiled and laughed with the others until it was time to roll out her blanket and go to sleep.

The trip was less arduous and more quiet than anything. Theo wasn't in the mood to talk or be over dramatic like he usually was, and the others simply chatted among themselves. Eventually, the group made it to the dungeon - rolling hills that extended far , blocking one providing a melancholic feeling with the setting sun. The group quickly began to set up camp - thanks to his skill in searching, Dirk was to search for food... which he did poorly. It wasn't like he wasn't skilled... well, he was, but that wasn't the main reason. The hills were mostly barren, containing only grass and occasionally monsters. To gather enough food for the entire party, Theo had to walk a distance away, where he was able to scavenge wild fruits and nuts. By the time he returned, Theo noticed several people already had food, like the pork they earned on the hunting quest. He also noticed that they had set up a fire, which was lucky since he didn't see any of them with tools. Theo handed out the meager proportions he gathered, before eating his share quickly. He wanted the day to be over as quickly as possible.

"So, anyone got any good scary stories?"

The question was followed by Reylan asking the man he had originally partied with, Dubstepp, to help him with his meat. Honestly, Theo never particularly enjoyed scary stories or movies, and he never thought of Dirk as having any fears. Nevertheless, Theo thought the situation was kind of strange - they were in a game of death, and they wanted more things to scare them! Still, Theo wasn't scared for himself - he was more scared for his companions. Kajin's death was still uncertain, but it was the most likely thing that happened... Dirk possessed high health, and a few abilities meant for tanking. His companions, on the other hand, were mostly squishy classes.

"What? Do you mean ghosts and ghouls? We probably shouldn't say anything that would upset a ghost; I think I saw one following Aster on the march here. She might still be around, listening."

Theo faked a smile at this, choosing not to interject in the conversation. Instead, he wondered if the other's noticed - several people were missing. Kajin, Aura... No one mentioned them. Did they simply not notice, or were they afraid of talking about them? Theo was simply upset that one of his only friends in this game is already dead...

How much damage did he take? Did he take any at all, or was it simply instant death? Hopefully it was peaceful, at least. The most depressing thing wasn't Kajin's apparent death, however. It was the fact that, despite this, Theo still wanted to remain in this game.

A man died. His body may have been a collection 0s and 1s, but his personality was human - and somewhere, his real body was now nothing more than a chunk of meat. Despite this horrible atrocity, Theo was still excited to be in the game. He wanted to be the hero, he wanted to be Dirk forever. Theo was scared that despite death having been proven as real, he was still hungry to remain in this world.

Theo just noticed he had been largely ignoring the conversations going on, and decided to remain silent unless he needed to say something - he still didn't feel confident in being Dirk after Kajin's passing.

It didn't take long for Karma then get tired of the journey. Part of it was Karma being more brains then brawl, the other part was part the hangover from late night incident. Nevertheless, Karma soldered through the trip so the group didn't have to stop on his account. he, however, keep talking to a minimum to avoid excessive thinking. Thankful after hours of travel everyone to the sight of the dungeon during the hour of twilight. When everyone talked about calling it a day Karma threw no objections all he then was let himself fell on his arse before panting heavily.

Camp was then set up and Karma then took the pork he got from one of the boars and give it to dubstep to cook before thanking him sincerely. He then sat down on a log before he begins eating and drinking. Reylan then pops a question.

"So, anyone got any good scary stories?"

Kamra then raised his eyes from his plate and turned the carefree archer. "A scary story? well...I could tell you the story about a group of people who end up trapped in a video game....but something tells you already heard that story before." Karma told him a joking matter, making it apparent with a forced smile on his face. before getting taken in by the friendly environment as his hangover symptoms begin to fade. This journey was going probably going to be a long one so he may as well take whatever enjoyment it can offer.

As the night begins to past Karma begin to yawn, Karma then prepares his sleeping bag before climbing in and waiting for himself to fall asleep he was kept up by the thought asking rather not Aura was okay.

Dubstepp did not realize how long the trip would last. He expected the walking distance between the town and the dungeon ranged from five minutes to ten minutes. The vast world of Talrae slapped him once he stepped out of the town. Every hour that passed as he walked only made him think how insignificant players were compared to the environment. Similar to reality, a person's problems are truly small.

Dubstepp joined the server because he figured there waited potential for him to become 'something' bigger. The lush green fields and the numerous monsters along the path reminded him about his situation. The virtual game's capacity was not of a fun mini-game, but of a real world. Keeping particularly quiet, he chose to speak only when spoken to. Waking up in the morning exhausted him and the long trek only tired him more.

Dubstepp sighed, he became relieved that the party chose to rest. Laying down on the floor in complete defeat, he stretched out his legs. Dubstepp dubbed the journey unbelievable and unreal; the hours in the day were lost. The sun disappeared to let out the night sky. Looking around, the musician perceived the darkness as unsafe. Monsters might lurk on the outskirts of the camps. The party was nowhere near the safety and comfort of the town.

Dubstepp snapped out of his negative processing when Reylan called to him. He cracked a smile and sighed under his breath. Having an efficient cooking skill meant he was going to have to make the entirety of everyone's meals. With a thumbs up, he agreed to cook the piece of pork. Though Dubstepp trained his cooking skill for his personal benefit, he was glad to assist others. Prepping the pork and cooking all the sides evenly, he roasted the meat until he determined it was ready for eating.

"Anybody else?" He asked before cooking his own pork slab. He forgot all about the boar quest; the experience was mundane compared to what happened after. Looking at the yellow sparks of the fire, Dubstepp began contemplating once again. He observed the players around him and started to get a tickle in his throat. The outcome of this journey disappointed the musician. Dubstepp couldn't tell if the others knew, but some people had chosen not to show up to the rendezvous.

Many scenarios played in the musician's mind. Obviously, the group of people that met at the Inn last night was way bigger than the players sitting around the campfire. The missing individuals possibly chose a different group to raid with or they chickened out. Another probable outcome was that players died before meeting with the others. Dubstepp shivered at the thought. Most of the no-shows he did not have the chance to greet them, but he did know of one individual.

The fact that Aura didn't show up left Dubstepp uncomfortable. Dubstepp figured he would lose someone eventually to a boss or a tough mission. He acknowledged parties were going to change in time; however, he did not expect it so soon. Although, he did not know Aura very well, she was capable of bringing morale and spirit to the team. Even then, she seemed like a great leader type. Glancing over to Reylan, he wondered how the archer felt about it. No doubt he noticed her disappearance.

Dubstepp sat back on the ground and began to gnaw on his pork chop. The lack of plates and forks forced him to miss the comforts of fine dining at the inn. Eating his meal only took a matter of minutes, he then took out his journal and reviewed his previous bars. "I think I might have ordered the season pass for this game. That's pretty scary."

The fire was a bit slapdash, but warm enough, and it created an aura of general well-being that was welcome indeed. Aster found herself relaxing more than she was accustomed to in the company of relative strangers. Of course, she had never really had real friends back home, so it would have been a foreign experience even if they hadn't been in a world made up of ones and zeroes.

Sticking close to Alisea, the person that she was the most comfortable with, she laughed along (a bit more quietly than the others) at the good-humored jokes being thrown back and forth. She even shot a good-natured scowl at Alisea after the jest about the ghost, figuring that it was all in good fun. It didn't stop her from glancing over her shoulder a few times, though. She wasn't a naturally paranoid person, but then, this wasn't the real world. For all they knew, ghosts were a very real enemy in the game. She shuddered, both from the increasing cold, and from the thought of fighting specters, and scooted closer to the fire.

In the light of the fire, Aster ate an unpleasant dried biscuit, and then pulled her secret purchase from her pocket. The cloth was still as white as ever, but in the firelight it seemed almost luminescent. As an afterthought, Aster tied it to her sword's hilt, in the style that knights of old might have tied the handkerchiefs of their favored lady.

As everyone began to roll out sleeping bags and blankets, she sighed, realizing that, unfortunately, she had failed to pick up anything of the sort. Instead, she thanked her foresight in choosing quality clothes, and stayed as close to the waning fire as was safe, not wanting to bother any of her teammates. Huh. That was a concept. Teammates. She smiled at that, one arm tucked under her head as a makeshift pillow, the other tightly grasping the handle of her sword.

Admin - DAY 3, 10AM

Morning... and it's time. You enter the dungeon "The Hill's Sorrow" and you see a wide open area with rolling hills before you. Curiously enough however, the pathing of the dungeon only leads to places in-between the hills and the hills themselves are off-limit areas for some reason. You immediately come to a realization, your job is to navigate between these hills while fighting off monsters in order to reach the dungeon boss's room.

Your first experience in dungeon combat doesn't come without delay, immediately you reach Area A and spot 3 Hill Wolves growing and bearing their fangs against you. They seem wary but hostile and slowly pace towards you, ready to pounce.

Summary

3 Hill Wolves appeared.

OOC

Remember to ask questions whenever in OOC, I'd be happy to answer. If you have any other narrative you would like to have to describe events from last night (Day 2), use a hider on top of your post. Anyways... good luck and have fun!

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Reylan was several feet ahead of the the rest of the group, he had volunteered in the morning to lead the way using his high agility to scout the path ahead. Of course once actual combat started, he would fall back into formation. Upon his next level he should invest in abilities to enhance his scouting abilities, it would likely become useful in later dungeons as well. A arrow was already notched in his equipped bow as they entered the dungeon, his in-game menu opened displaying the map just within his cone of vision.

He felt motivation arise within him remembering the large party that had gathered last night and the small numbers they had now, wherever they were this was for them "We're coming up on Area A now." Reyland felt strangely calm despite the inherent danger they were putting themselves into. Perhaps it was the fact others were relying on him and that he had their support as well. No one seemed to mention their missing members yesterday so before they went further, he wanted to correct that "Before we do this, Let's remember not everyone is here with us right now. Aura, Kaijin...let's do this for them!" His conviction that they were both alive only grew, nothing would convince him otherwise.

Silver eyes narrowed on the three biggest wolves he had ever seen, their menacing eyes making him hesitate and slow his pace "Dirk, Aster up front!" he commanded without even thinking "Dirk take the two on the right, Aster the left." The two on the right corresponded to Wolf 1 and Wolf 3 while the left Wolf was number 2. He spoke fast but as clear as he could, they only had 200 HP from what he saw but no risk could be taken "Karma focus on healing Aster or Dirk if they need it, Dub and Alisea conserve your magic as much as possible." The command weren't too bossy he hoped, he felt at a loss considering their potential leaders were gone. He let the others fall into place before taking aim and shot an arrow at Hill Wolf 1, starting the first battle of their first dungeon raid.

Alisea - mage
Health: 400/400
Mana: 1100/1200

Reylan was taking charge. It began with a speech--a short declaration she could assume gave at least himself motivation--and sashayed into him giving orders--in an almost polite way. It wasn't the greatest example of leadership Alisea had seen, but in this case she was happy to follow. "Conserve as much as possible" was already on her agenda; although, nobody brings a mage to a dungeon just to babysit.

Every person in his and her place. Alisea could see the three large wolves that would be their opponents. The mobs' grouping made luring one impossible, but Reylan expressed his confidence they could handle all three at once without suffering heavy damages--expressed it by drawing back his first arrow and taking aim. For a moment time stalled. Adrenaline seeped into Alisea's blood. Her pulse quickened, her breathing grew quick and shallow. The corners of her lips drew up.

With the strum of a bowstring, the battle began.

Sliding sideways to give herself a line of sight past Dirk's sword arm, Alisea raised her hands and called to mind her chosen spell. Reylan's arrow sank into the first wolf; Alisea followed quickly by invoking a Frost Bite on the second, the one farthest right. Her focus was on its forelegs, first up high where they connected to its torso and then down toward its paws--everything she could burn to slow its movement. Dirk would have an easier time if they didn't both come at the same moment; and beside that, Alisea needed some mana depleted to test the spell Chakra Magic.

Dirk Davidson

Health: 2000/2000
Mana: 450/500

Reylan appeared to be the one leading the charge for the group, taking the position with little argument. After all, Theo surely didn't feel like leading that morning. The party entered the dungeon after the night had passed, with Theo and Aster in the lead. They progressed a little slower than normal, considering the paladin's class mobility, but they quickly reached the first group of enemies.

The wolves were far more intimidating than the boars from earlier, mostly due to their large size and teeth. Still, Theo moved into the front in order to protect the party, before Reylan called out orders. Theo didn't feel confident in letting Aster tank one of the wolves, but there was no time to argue - especially considering the dire situation. An arrow flew past Dirk, effortlessly sliding into wolf flesh. Dirk didn't have time to to assess the damage, however - a bolt of ice flew from Alisea's direction, hitting the wolf farthest to Dirk's right. Dirk wasn't paying attention, however. He quickly made his way towards the wolf that was Alisea aimed at, doing his best to prevent it from going down the narrow passage that led to his squishier allies.

As he moved, he began to cast Aggravate, unsure if he would be able to finish casting in time to prevent the 1st wolf from attacking Reylan. As he did so, he made sure to keep his shield facing the 3rd wolf, protecting himself from it's attempts to attack.

Karma

Health:600
Mana:1300

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Today was the day to once again to face death...thankful Karma as of yet had to face it alone. Today his group was bigger, and the morale felt higher; it was like everyone was the same page. Reylan was acting as both the scout and the leader; to which Karma dared not objected though he was a bit worry something told him Reylan would get himself killed so easy.

Soon enough the group found trouble in the costumes of wolves patrolling area A, and the time to back out has passed; not that Karma was planning on it, everyone seems ready to risk their lives if it means escaping this fuck up game, and Karma was no different. After Reylan had shot an arrow to start the fight he ordered Dirk to fight off two wolves, Aster to fight off one, and him to keep the two healed up showing he would make a decent leader. "Roger!" He yelled out following after Dirk and Aster with a wooden staff in his hands and with flames in his eyes.

While Dirk and Aster were fighting the wolfs, Karma was right behind them; not too close yet not too far. Alissa however ignored Reylan order by casting a spell, If this wasn't a life or death situation Karma would have stopped to facepalm himself, yet he stayed mostly focus on the fight, holding his staff in front of him just in case he needed to heal someone or defend himself. He however, doesn't plan to cast anything other than healing spells unless one of the wolfs tried to run off.

Mana: 650 >> 600

Dubstepp found trouble sleeping again. He slept more than he did yesterday which did provide benefit. He felt slightly active and didn't receive a 50 health point deduction. Even then, Dubstepp demonstrated fatigue in his eyes and stride. The morning forced him to bicker and groan in solitude.

After he and the rest of the party entered the dungeon, he began to become more awake. The threat of death shook him enough to keep his chin up. It has now come to this. Dubstepp disagreed with the idea of tackling a dungeon at such a low-level. More than likely, his party remained okay on taking risks. Being a mage, Dubstepp became comfortable standing in the back. This meant if worse comes to shove, he can flee to the exit without any struggle. The only problem: would he be able to up and abandon his team if it calls for it? Would he be sane if he does run out?

Dubstepp snapped out of his mindset when the party stopped when confronted by a pack of wolves. Pulling his hands in front of him, he prepared to lend a helping hand. He acknowledged the statement from Reylan regarding the missing individuals. Dubstepp kept note of their names; he barely knew them, but he might meet them again in the future. Watching as everyone attacked, Dubstepp decided to help attack the wolf with the highest health.

He took note about Reylan's advice concerning his mana usage. Contemplating on a spell, Dubstepp chose to only use his lighting finger trick for right now. The attack showed the usefulness and only depleted 50 points of mana. He would save his summon for another fight coming up if it calls for it. Dubstepp pointed his finger at the wolf in the middle; stepping to the side to get a clear shot, he initiated a stream of lighting that passed through the party to electrocute the wolf.

Aster

Health: 1,000
Mana: 200

This was it. The moment she'd been waiting for. Finally, Aster would have the chance to do something to repay the relative strangers who had given her so much. Maybe they didn't see it that way, but she certainly did. With a deep breath, she ran forward to the position she'd been given, sliding her katana free from its sheath without any unnecessary flourishes. This was not the time to show off. This wasn't a game. No, this was the most real that life had ever been. It was with surprise that Aster realized she was smiling, excitement for the confrontation running through her like a drug.

With an uncharacteristic eagerness, she swept forward like a wave, blade whistling ever so slightly with the speed of her movement. The reminder to conserve mana echoed in the back of her mind, then was shut out, as she raced to meet the enemy. Almost without thinking, she triggered her skill, depleting half of her mana, but allowing her to fly instinctively into a flurry of slashing strikes, three in a row delivered in a fluid motion which was only made possible by the game's combat engine. The attack was called triple strike, and it was felt surprisingly natural.

As the first of the three strikes was delivered, Aster heard a strange, roaring yell resounding in her ears. As she executed the second, she identified the source as herself. It was something incredibly foreign, yet also somehow seemed to fit the new person she had started to become. As she leaped up to deliver the third and final strike of the combination, she leaned into the new feeling, and yelled harshly while delivering the last strike in a mighty two-handed slash across the nape of the beast's neck. As she touched back onto the ground, she skidded backwards a bit, weapon held naturally in a two-handed defensive stance.

Admin - DAY 3, Dungeon

The attacks were effective; even though the wolves were on alert, the quick strikes proved to be fast enough to surprise them. The wolves howled in pain, bearing their teeth even further to show their angered state. Simultaneously they howled, attempting to show the might of the wolfkind. The wolf effected by the frost magic immediately began to tear off the icy hindrance with its teeth, attempting to gain freedom so it may jump on its offender. The one facing off against the Swordsman was interrupted by the Paladin's Aggravate. Instead of going for the Swordsman, it went ahead and swiped its large, clawed paw at the figure with a small shield. The last wolf who had been hit by the arrow and Lightning magic was left uninterrupted and ran straight towards the Archer who had managed to stick an arrow into its side.

Summary

- All wolves used Howl at once.
- Hill Wolf 1 lost 100HP to Reylan's arrow and ran straight to Reylan. Lost 80HP to Dubstepp's Finger Lightning.
- Hill Wolf 2 lost 150HP to Aster's Triple Strike and attacked Dirk.
- Hill Wolf 3 lost 20HP to Alisea's Frost Bite and slowed. It has broken out of the ice.

- Dirk, take 120HP worth of damage.

OOC

Not bad for first rotational. Glad it happen within a week (lol...). Just a couple of comments from your local friendly GM I'm nice trust me. Only real comment actually is about narrating the results of things like arrows hitting targets. There is a chance they could miss (or else what's the point of Weapon Wielding Skills? lol). Actually this is not a huge problem as long as it doesn't happen ALL the time, I'd be happy to let the players decide when things happen and doesn't as long as its fair. As you face more powerful opponents, there may be ones who can use things like counter-magic or dodging abilities.
@Duoya - I feel like you could have throw in a normal attack in there as some Spells and Actions have shorter casting time (players can use their own judgement on this). Up to the player however.
One more thing... it would help me A LOT if you can put summaries down at the end of your post. Not that I dislike reading your posts but sometimes its confusing to tell who did what to who exactly. Like:

[ h r ]

Summary:

I cast Frost Bite on Hill Wolf 2.

EDIT

Oh one more point (sorry for the mini wall of text), it'll help if you became familiar with your own weapon. So different weapons obviously have different strengths and weaknesses. And writing that into your narrative will be awesome (and help me not point them out later). For instance, Maces have a higher center of mass and therefore takes more time to swing them and recover from the swing. Compared to a Sword which will have a balanced center of mass therefore allow you to have more flexibility. So it'll be reasonable to assume that you'll need more Agility to swing more often with a Mace compared to a Sword. But of course, Maces will have the property to deal more damage and break armor items. Another good example is a spear. You could narratively write to say that you dodged the opponent's attack since he was wielding a short weapon compared to your long weapon.
You gain more knowledge and Weapon Skill, you can even go into more complicated things like "Mordhau" (a real technique... look it up) to spice up your writing.
