@BBeast Helvana was born a while before the Xerxes battle took place, although more than a month has passed since then, so Xerxes is probably already destroyed. Also, I'm not up to date with all the posts, so what exactly happened to Amestria? Or at least point out which of the posts mention what happened.

Also, Portfolios can't be repeated even with different Domains? Helvana should pay Athanasios a visit.

@Slime, The events surrounding the Xerxes battle haven't been posted in their entirety to the IC (because we needed to move on and they weren't getting written). The details are here and here. The latter link is particularly pertinent: Xerxes is no longer on Galbar. The other parts of Amestris are still around, although I'd imagine that there'd be a bit of geopolitical unrest.

As for time, unless you have a compelling reason to be before the Xerxes battle, you are now chronologically after the Xerxes battle.

As for the Portfolios, the GM team will get back to you on that.

@Rtron, what's left of Xerxes on Galbar? A crater? Regular ground?

Mostly a crater, some outlying ruins on the edge of it.

Vestec took the vast majority of them into the Realm of Madness and had them make up the center of his Arena holy site.

@Slime, we have decided that you should tweak the Portfolio to avoid too much overlap with Athanasios, although because you're only Demigods and have different Domains we can be slightly more lenient than for Gods. One suggestion we came up with for an alternative perspective on the Portfolio, which I think fits quite nicely, is (Nurture). This is consistent with the time it takes for Helvana's healing methods, fits the Darkness Domain a bit better, and also opens up broader character opportunities (although it is only a suggestion).

Of course, the Might you had been investing towards (Healing) still counts for any similar Portfolios.

@BBeast I was thinking about using (Mending) instead since, as you mention it, the healing process is slow (although I don't really know if there is any real difference between healing and mending) but (Nurturing) is a lot better. In fact, it fits well with a plot point that I'll address in my next post or the one after. Thanks for the help.

Well, I wrote pretty much this entire thing in one shot over the course of the night.

There will be more and more exciting Marquisate posts eventually, but heads up that this will be my last non-collab post for a while. I'm writing a novel this month and that will take up the vast majority of my creative powers. Also, exams.

Guys, I'm thinking of adapting the first Shaqmar post and submitting it to a writing competition. However, that might require us to take the post down for an undefined time period as the competition in question requires that the submitted piece not have been published anywhere beforehand (unless it's a 'personal blog' or 'personal website'). I would have to cut down the post a bit before submitting it to the competition, so it will certainly not be the exact same piece, but large extracts will be the same. We can save the post in a private message that everyone has access to or something of the sort and put it back up whenever.

What are your thoughts on this?

Two hours till the deadline O.O I've changed the post tremendously - pretty much every name from Y'Vahn to Qulut (who the hell is Qulut? >.>) are changed. I think at this point it really is an entirely different piece. We wouldn't even need to take down our one...right?
