This is my -revised- character: Jack Riptor.


Full name: Jack Riptor
Nickname: Ashe. This nickname was given by his uncle Frasier, when Jack was just a little boy.
Jack was with his uncle when Jack tripped and fell in a big pile of ashes. Frasier found it comical and thus he gave Jack this nickname and kept calling him 'Ashe'. Because Jack loved his uncle very much, and he -secretly- liked the nickname, he decided to take on the name Ashe as his second name.
Age: 29 years old

Height: 5,9" / 1.80 metres
Weight: 152 pounds / 69 kilograms
Hair Color and Style: Blonde hair, reaching his shoulders, with a tail on top.
Scar(s): Jack has a scarred line on his right cheek.

Skills and abilities:
Jack has been very intuitive since he was a small child. One of his abilities is that he quickly learns new languages.
His strong intuition also helps him to communicate with animals and to know his next direction according to his 'inner compas' (intuition).

For defensive causes, at age 22, Jack has started to train his swordfighting & natural healing skills.

Jack's hobby is making music on his guitar, tin whistle or harp. He has been playing since his 7th birthday, when he inherited the three musical instruments.

HIStory:
Jack's father and mother were both teaching at the local school when Jack was born. He was a good and healthy baby. The small town boy was raised to believe anything is possible and can be created with faith.

As a teenager Jack was already a famous musician in it's birthplace and surroundings, after he inherited a guitar, a harp and a tin whistle.
He played in a band called "The Merlins", mostly in pubs and inns. However often they would travel straight to Eastern parts of his country to perform for crowds ranging from hundreds to thousands of fans.
The band fell apart a few years later after that and Jack decided to go live at his hometown once again.

Jack was still single. His parents were thinking about retiring and becoming globetrotters. When Jack heard this he decided to built an own home just outside his birthplace. There was a vacancy for becoming a District Keeper, and naturally, Jack got the job when he had offered himself.
As a keeper however it was important to know how to well defend himself and his district. This was the reason for Jack to move into his uncle Frasier's house while his own house was being built.

Frasier and Jack had a close connection since Jack's birth. Frasier always calling by his nickname 'Ashe'. His uncle Frasier served the army as a soldier and as a commander-in-chief.
From him he learned basic self-healing skills and swordfighting technics.

Now we are a few years past that. Jack is still District Keeper and is also travelling around the globe to meet other people.

Nhia from an outsider's point of view might be seen as a free spirit and a reckless one at that. She is sun kissed and always driven to the water ever since she was a young child. People that she have encountered have stated that she is quite charming, but on the other hand so are the angler fish that dwell down below. Some of her quirks include: Eating sunflowers seeds and biting her lower lip when she's thinking about something. Nhia can be heard humming or or whistling when she's in a cheerful or happy mood.

Skills & Abilities
Nhia is a fisherman's daughter so she excels in fishing, sailing, and a bit of navigation.

History
"Come now Nhia, sing a song for our guests, you have always had a beautiful voice as light as the bird that brings your daddy home." a father called to his child. The family had invited several sailors over for dinner to celebrate a safe journey, and the good season they had for fishing. The family and several other families had found their home next to the sea and used the resources of the land to survive as well as flourish. "Come Nhia, sing!" her mother now insisted, as the guests smiled and nodded their approval.

"Nhia!" the young girls mother exclaimed, her face a crimson red at the embarrassment her daughter had given her in front of their guests, while her father let out a hearty laugh. Nhia giggled, "I learned that one from the neighbor boy." she gleamed, her soft round lips upturned into a grin. "Bed." her mother retorted, as Nhia's smile then dropped to a pout, "But Mothe-" the girl started, and was given a stiff finger pointing towards her bedroom in the small home, "Now." her mother finalized the command, sending Nhia away.

As Nhia aged, she always had a pleasure in riddles, songs, and the casual practical joke. Though many of her friends and family, besides her father found no pleasure in this, the girl remained the same. "Honestly Nhia, you need to mature just a little, you're over fifteen years old now." her mother pleaded as they sat down to wash their clothes. Nhia smiled and nodded, it was often easier to just agree to what her mother had to say rather than fight the cause. The two continued this sort of conversation; Mother lecturing her daughter, while the daughter half doesn't pay attention and half just says "Mhm, yes."

"Your father and I think it time you be married." her mother bluntly spoke, noticing her daughter's lack of participation. Nhia responded once again, "Yep." before noticing the words that had been spoken, "Wait, what!?" the girl exclaimed, dropping the clothing she had held as her blue and grey shaded eyes widening as she glared at her mother, "I'm not ready for that." she chuckled, picking up the article of clothing and dusting it off slightly. "I'm just not ready for that." she repeated once more, handing the item to her mother and walking away with out another word about it.

Nhia didn't want to be forced into a marriage so young, so during the night she packed up as much as she could and took to the only place who seemed to understand her- the sea. She has been out to sea for six years and has finally decided to come back to land, looking for life to bring her another way.

Other Appearance Traits:
Saeras is of average shape and breast size with a slight hourglass curve to her figure. Her crystaline eyes are accented by her dark war paint on her face, as is customary in her village when a child comes of age to be a hunter. She has two claw marks on her left cheek from where a bear had attacked her while she was hunting and another on her thigh from when she fell from a cliff and skewered her leg on a sharp branch.

Saeras wears little to no armor either, as she prefers mobility over protection. If she must, she wears a cuirass made of boiled, hardened leather and fur, fur lined leather armbands and greaves to protect her shins. All this is usually worn over a hooded forest green tunic with a dark brown long sleeved shirt and leggings underneath.




Skills and Abilities:

-Maksmanship: Years of hunting and defending her village from hostile tribes has made Saeras into an efficient and deadly archer. She could pin a bird by its wing from yards away, but that's not to say sometimes she does miss her mark. Even so, she has the eyes of an eagle and can swiftly deliver an arrow down range.

-Stealth: When hunting their prey, one must be as the predator. Saeras has learned over the years to move quietly and to be unseen. She is proficient in stalking her prey and using both shadow and natural foliage to her advantage. These skills also came in handy for ambushing enemies in the forest.

-Tracking: As any hunter, Saeras can track her prey easily by any sign they leave, whether it be footprints, broken branches, sound, smell, etc.

Disabilities:

-Uneducated: Growing up solely among her tribe, Saeras does not speak nor understand any other language than her own. She also cannot read or write.

-Unprotected: Wearing virtually no armor at all means she is more vulnerable to any attack. Hence she prefers to take enemies by surprise than face them head on.




Hobbies:

-Cooking: Well you can't just eat venison raw. Saeras will admit it is more out of survival than recreation, but she does enjoy it. The smell of roasted venison and vegetables simmering in a hearty pot of stew warms her soul and brings her solace when she is troubled.

-Music: On nights when she was alone in the forest, her ocarina kept her company. She would play a tune upon it to keep her mind at ease and not go crazy from either the frigid cold or the lack of human companionship, as hunting tended to take her miles away from her home.

Saeras hails from the far north from a tribe of hunters and gatherers who lived in the snowy pine forests. Her mother was frail and weak when she gave birth. It was no surprise to any she would die. Her father was left then to raise her. One of the village's hunters, he trained his daughter in the ways of the predator. He taught her how to draw a bow and make every arrow count and how to stalk her prey and become a ghost in the wild. He was a harsh but fair teacher, and under his wing Saeras grew to be a hunter herself.

Life was hard in the north. Food was often scarce, and if the bitter cold or hungry predators didn't kill you, the other tribes would. Saeras' tribe had been involved in many bloody conflicts over the years. The surrounding tribes often attacked them, trying to wrestle their territory. By her early teens, Saeras had killed both man and beast. She was not adept in the way of sword or axe as her other tribesmen, but her bow saved her life countless times on the battlefields of bloodstained snow, as did her knowledge of camouflage.

A few winters had passed, taking her father along with them. Years of conflict and bloodshed had left its mark on her people. Slowly, her tribe was dying. It seemed each day that passed, a loved one had to be buried. The constant warfare had driven away the animals of the forest, their only source of food during the hard snowy season, and left the trees barren of their ripened fruits. Saeras knew these were the end days of her tribe, and rather than endure the pain of seeing her people wither away...she simply left...with hopes of one day bringing an end to her people's suffering.

Years went on. She had traveled the land far and wide, with only her bow and her ocarina. She had seen how other people had prospered and were fruitful. In short, it made her envious and mournful of her tribe's stubborn will. She knew they would refuse to move. It was the land of their ancestors, the forest and the mountains, but the land was barren now and gave nothing to them.

It was upon standing on a hill overlooking a flourishing hamlet...that Saeras wept. She wept for her people, who she knew when she returned...would no longer be there... It was not the cold nor the starving that brought them to an end...but their own foolishness.

There was no point in returning, and so, she tarried down the hill and began life anew.

History:


Quest for Phoenix Down

Born in a church and showered with blessing of the god of light, Erwald was gifted with the magic of light and healing. He was then tasked to heal people from their physical sufferings. Erwald got really upset after seeing people dying in front of him, as he did not have the ability to save people from serious injuries or sicknesses. At the age of 21, he decided to leave the church and go on a journey in search for the legendary skill/item to revive the dead.

Father's Inheritance

When the boy was not in church, he would spend his time in his father's (a mechanic) workshop, learning about building and fixing machines. He was really obsessed with how much he could do with simple programmed robots and would spend day and night just to perfect his creations.

Blacksmithing
knows his way around a forge and able to create at current basic armor although he doesn’t wear much himself in the way of that. When it comes to weapons however Fatir can just about create anything that he has drawn or anything he can think up.

Fatir developed this skill as he grew he had always had an active imagination and Sacred Blacksmith he apprenticed under encouraged him to never lose that creativity, “creativity is what makes being a sacred blacksmith so much fun the minds the limit” His teacher always said

Physique
Working in a forge from a young age Fatir without even his own noticing had gained a fighters physique this included but not limited to endurance, strength, speed, stamina. This was all thanks to the lifting bending moving and practicing. His Teachers motto “Never forge or make a weapon you don’t understand so to drive this point home Fatir was given books upon books upon books about weapons from all over (Still in the process of reading them all.)

Abilities

Mystic Forge
Thanks to being a Sacred Blacksmith Fatir is able to use a spell unique to only them. The Mystic forge is summoned after a fairly long incantation and the possession of a special artifact. And upon summoning Fatir may draw a weapon from said forge and imbue it with magical abilities up to 3 max. but putting that many abilities on a weapon at once causes it to form rather brittle.
No enchantments – a solid 21 strikes before it breaks
1 enchantment – 14 strikes before it breaks
2 enchantments – 7 strikes before it breaks
3enchantments – 3 strikes before it breaks

Weapons encyclopedia
Fatir doesn’t just read the books given to him he doesn’t just comprehend them, no as he reads he drifts into a trancelike state where as the information is absorbed its being written into the center section of his brain although he is deep within the trancelike state he is aware of his surroundings. After the info is learned and stored Fatir is able create these weapons with the help of his mystic forge.

Darkvision
Thanks to being a drow descendant Fatir is awarded a few of the drowlike abilities albeit they are all heavily watered down. The 1st being simple darkvision if a person was to extinguish all te torches in a room Fatir could still see clear as day. However he is no good in magical darkness

Fairy Fire
Another drowlike ability, Fatir is able to call upon 5 golfball sized balls of fire they serve but one purpose and that’s to provide light, they cannot burn nor harm anyone but can be broken down and manipulated and reformed again the only limit is your imagination.

Weapon Mastery
If Fatir can forge it he has complete understanding as to how to use it, knowing its flaws and weaknesses

Imbue (I can explain in depth about the enchantments if necessary)
When using the Mystic Forge Fatir has access to certain abilities he can place or imbue a weapon with currently he has access to basic enchantments, Ice, flame, Lightening, sound, brilliant energy, mercy.

Appraisal
Basic for a blacksmith can tell certain qualities of ores and precious gemstones simply by holding them and analyzing them.

Personality
Excitable (In regards to weapons). Fun to be around. Hardworking. Optimistic. Doesn’t get angry easily but when he is angered its physically noticeable his eyes turn crimson and he becomes violent.)

History
Fatir was bought up by his then to be presumed mother who was an inn keeper. She was a softhearted woman and raised Fatir to be a man she wasn’t to soft on him but wasn’t to hard on him she pushed him to get out and play with the other kids but that didn’t really interest him much, what did interest him was the local forge it was ran by a massive man who only went by G. he seemed to have an obsession with wolves. G made what seemed like endless amounts of weapons but had 3 in particular that he would not sell and a set of armor and cloak that was as black as night. Needless to say Fatir couldn’t explain why he was so drawn to this place.

It happened by sheer luck that one day he was looking from the sidelines and G noticed him and cracked a smile and a chuckle before ushering young Fatir over and with no real warning put the boy to work. Moving ingots each week he was given more and more to do. As time went one G had begun to talk and teach Young Fatir more and more and everynight Fatir would come home and speak of the things that G showed him and taught him the conversations that they had. But there was a longing for more in Fatir, he wanted to craft his own weapon the pull to do so was almost uncontrollable. It happened in the middle of the night he awoke in a cold sweat and there was a deafening noise in his ear and a pounding headache BANG BANG BANG CLANG CLANG CLANG he stumbled down the hall trying to make it to his mothers room but passed out on the way.

When Fatir came too he was laying in his bed but the sounds didn’t stop he cradled his head and loosed a deafening howl of pain. His “Mother” Loosed a deep sigh she knew what was going on. He was beginning to come into his birthright. And his “Mother” retreated to her room returning with a necklace and placing it upon his neck the sounds dulled and Fatir fell into a deep sleep. In this sleep fatirs mind was flooded with knowledge of weapons a plenty but as they were learned they were locked techniques were learned and just as the weapons knowledge was locked aside the chant (Found at the bottom). After a few days Fatir had awakened as though nothing had happened. Upon heading back to the forge he was given a series of tasks as any other time and watched G while he completed his tasks and almost in an inexplicable manner began to call out each of the steps in an almost trancelike state,

Flattening. Breaking. Sorting. Stacking. Folding over. And over. And over. And over. And over. And over. And over.

Shaping the Casing. Shaping the heart of the blade. Assembling. Drawing. Forming the point. Shaping. Rough finishing. Clay Coating. Firing. Hardening. Shaping

Foundation polishing. Rough Polishing. Remedial Midgrade. Fine Polishing. Mudstone Polishing. Grain Polishing. Powder Polishing. Temperline Polishing. Burnishing Polishing. Point Polishing. Final polishing. Hilt FITTING.

G stopped part way through to see Fatir standing engulfed in a flame as a huge sigil created itself from the engulfing flame and after he finished the chant a blade of iron bathed in white fire was created but the moment he touched it, it shattered. G saw this and knew without a doubt that while rough around the edges this boy was the real deal.

10yrs later

Fatir was a damn good pprentice by now and had decided that there was more to see and other weapons to be learned of and created and while the books were great he wanted to get out there and see the world he wanted to experiment with other ores and find out other combinations of weapons he could create so after a long talk and a few tears he bid his mother and G farewell as he packed up and took off to places unknown.
