Robin Marshall

Location: Abandoned House
Interacting With: Miranda, Heather, Olivia, Finley, Declan

"Just some odds and ends––spooky, but not the smoking gun we were hoping for," Robin added after Heather had listed off what they found: the picture, the box. If they were pieces of a puzzle, the whole was still indecipherable. "We came down because of the noise, and the shaking. Better safe than sorry, you know? That PI fucked up his leg upstairs, so the house's already had one victim today." Reassured now that the basement group was still alive and evidently unharmed, he felt rather silly for rushing down to check on them, especially when it interrupted their investigations of the top floor.

"A secret room, huh?" Robin said as he looked around at the grizzly implements, as well as the big find of a shoe belonging to Riley. That didn't bode well, but it was better than finding a body. Maybe she'd been dragged off? "Think the original owners of the house built it? Because they needed a... dungeon, or something." It was quickly veering too close into True Crime territory to be comfortable, not that it ever was.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Her house
Interacting With: Robert, Jenna and Siegfried

She was still shocked about the whole, summoning and talking to a demon thing that it took her a moment to realize fully what he had just said in answering Jenna's question about Riley. She had been close to finding her! Everything about that basement was actually making more sense now, especially if Riley had been there. The mayor made a deal with a demon though, and that did not really sound like the best thing, it also made her wonder what exactly that deal was. She was also wondering what the plan for Riley was.

Then the next words out of his mouth made her worry yet again, since he said something about coming after the three of them. She got a little closer to Robert, not wanting anything to happen to the kid because of something she and Jenna had decided to do. Lydia looked over at her cousin, wondering what she would end up doing, since this had been her idea. Not to mention the fact that this guy literally said he was going to break out of that circle soon and come after them, maybe this whole thing had been a really bad idea.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive

Jenna raised an eyebrow, staring at the demon. She had seen plenty of horror movies and for whatever reason, an actual demon wasn't nearly as frightening as the girl in the Ring. Maybe it was idiocy that was keeping Jenna from being terrified - or perhaps it was her fight or flight instinct kicking in, telling her to hold her ground and fight. "Your master? So you're just the hired help, then," Jenna summarized, staring at the demon. She then flipped through the book some more, looking for any spells that would catch her eye - preferably ones that could be used to hurt the demon.

"But if you are so hellbent - pun fully intended - on coming after us next, I guess I have to phone a friend," Jenna murmured, pulling out her phone. She sent a quick text off to Abe - Hey Gramps, I have a demon in my basement. All yours. -J She figured that Abe and Kosara would be able to deal with the demon and she glanced at her cousin for a moment, curious as to how Lydia was holding up. "But while we're still having this lovely chat, who controls the would be king?"

@BlueSky44 @Morose Siegfried continued to calmly pace around the devil's trap sighing slightly as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, getting a bit annoyed with the three little runts. "I'm more of his right hand man." He said turning to look at Jenna directly, as she searched around the demon book. She would see a spell however it was all in a very old form latin, he eyed the girl as she searched through the book. "Once i'm out of here, nothing can protect you." He said giving her an evil grin, Robert was getting really nervous and uncomfortable and tugged on both of the girl's shirts to get their attention. "I'm really not liking this at all, we should leave like now." He said, Siegfried stared down at Robert and gave him an evil smile. "You should listen to the wee lad. But if you really want to know, my master Asmodeus will make his return very soon." Jenna would receive a text from Abe rather quickly.

@Dragoknighte Halsey looked at Harry for a moment and started to nod a little bit, a lot of people seem to have been coming to her lately asking something about the case. "I can certainly lend some time to you detective, this place has been dreadfully boring anyway businesswise that is. Come around back i'll brew you up some tea, or coffee whatever you young people drink these days." She said as she waved for him to follow her behind the counter and into what looked to be a living room of some kind. "Though the question is pretty broad, what specifically would you like to know about our lovely little town?" She asked as she walked over towards the small kitchen and started to make some coffee and tea as well.

As Olivia looked at the shoe and sock that was there, after a moment Miranda confirmed that it was Riley's sock and shoe, which she now did recognize as well. "They are Riley's." Olivia said calmly confirming that it was actually their friend's which was a bit of a good and bad thing as well. Good thing was because she was here, but bad thing was also that she wasn't even here at all anymore letting out a slight sigh as Olivia rubbed her eyes for a moment. It was still a bit scary that they were so close and she just hoped that Riley was still alive.

Finley would get hit with another vision, it was at the lake it looked to be around midnight, the clouds were clear and she'd notice the full moon there in the sky. There was also five streaks of light out in the sky, and they all seemed to congregate and point over the lake itself, as the ground shook and something started to rise out from the center of the lake, then the vision quickly ended. Olivia looked at the others and thought for a moment. "We can leave if you think theres anything else that you guys want to look for here?"[/color] To Olivia she was content on leaving this creepy place, and inform the police as well on what they actually ended up finding.

Abraham Serafin

Location: Red Lake Townhall/Library
Interacting With: @rivaan Kosara Koleva

Abe listened as his niece started to go over the information, it was good to know that this wasn't the first time that has happened, as Abe was listening in to her as she spoke. He nodded there were some good ideas that could be very helpful and even useful against the demon. "Sounds like a plan then." Abraham said as he reached for his phone as he started to feel it vibrate and then quickly got up, it was a text from Jenna that she managed to snag in a demon somehow which was surprising and shocking as well. He watched as his niece turned and quickly dashed out of the townhall and towards Halsey's shop.

To Jenna:
Okay listen to me very closely, and I really do mean it. Get the hell out of the room, grab some salt pour a line over the windows, and then under the door. Make sure that whatever your holding the demon with is not broken, and just stay outside the room until I get there."

Abe quickly hit send as he turned around and started to hobble and move over towards the exit and made a beeline towards his car and quickly got inside it, and quickly drove up to catch up to his niece. "Change of plans, Jenna managed to get her hands on a demon, we need to head to her place now." Abe said as he pushed open the door to let Kosara in.

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
Halsey's shop

Harry wasn't sure what to make of that look that Halsey had given him. Did she think that it was a weird question? Well it kind of was, but that wasn't quite a "What did you just ask me" look. Perhaps there was something related to all this that she didn't want to share. Harry made a mental note to keep a lookout for any cues that she might be trying to conceal any pertinent information. They could be verbal, but they'd most likely be a bodily action. A sudden shift away in the gaze, a lowering of the head, closing off of the body, something like that.

"Coffee," he responded to Halsey's invitation to have some sort of beverage during their chat. He'd already had a cup earlier at the B&B, but really that was nothing compared to how much of the stuff he could drink. But she also confused him by referring to him as one of the "young people." He had stopped thinking of himself as that awhile back. He was a bit into his thirties at this point, and he had long since lost touch with what teenagers these days thought was "rad" or "hip." Perhaps in comparison to Ms. Halsey he could be considered "young," but that wasn't a really good metric for age, especially once you started getting advanced in years. Just like how it wasn't a good idea to use yourself as a meter stick for what was short if you were especially tall or especially short.

"How about we begin with the earliest you can go," Harry said as he pulled out his notebook and pen, opening the former to a clean page. He had a feeling he'd have a lot to record. "Like a time period around the colonial era, when Red Lake would have first been founded. Also, don't be afraid to leave in any supernatural rumors or stories. Those as well could potentially be related to the disappearance of Ms. Walker." The private investigator walked over to one of the seats by the coffee table and sat down, crossing his injured leg over the healthy one, pen at the ready to begin scrawling down anything that caught his attention.

Interacting with: Robin @McHaggis, Miranda @Damo021, Finley @FantasyChic, and Olivia @Nallore

"We hadn't checked out upstairs yet. We should probably do that. Just in case there is something up there, though I doubt there will be." Heather went back up the steps to the second floor taking them slowly, then turned into the master bedroom as she had been about to do before the "earthquake" had distracted them.

Upstairs in the master bedroom, Heather found another photograph. The person in it looked like Siegfried. She was certain of it, but she wanted to compare it to the other photo. "Can someone bring me the picture we found earlier? I want to compare it to this guy." It was a very old photograph back in 1828 it's very hard to see but she could make out his face in the picture.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Library

"Say what?!" Kosara asked as her dash halted as suddenly as a lightningbolt from a clear sky. She looked at Abe in disbelief, half about to ask him if he was just messing with her for fun and giggles, but then saw his expression as he was waiting for her to get into the car so they can go whereever Jenna was. She looked around for a moment before jumping into the car and putting the seatbelt on." Just to check do we have any deviltrap bullets with us?" She asked slightly concerned.

"Smart girl, I knew she was trying to dig up supernatural lore and learning things. Hell she was talking shop with me 'hypotetically'. She was up to something, but didn't expect this so soon." Kosara smiled and shook her head." Jenna's a smart girl indeed. Well better hope that trap they pulled holds the demon until we reach them because things will be dire... we'd be lucky if we find anything intact on her body if the trapped demon gets their hands on her. Guess we will have a chance to see first hand what exorcism incantations cause to a demon. I hear it hurts them real good. Also I'm sure there's some holy water back in the trunk. This will hurt the bastard."

After the disappearance of Riley, Kosara now only hoped that they get to Jenna in time. If that trap fails it was almost certainly an end to the ones who trapped it. Stupid girl, she had to tell them what she was planning. Both of them with Abe would have helped her with it.

Finley Alestair

Location: Abandoned House

Before Finley could collect herself with her newfound clues, she was struck with another vision. Really the most inopportune time for one considering the number of people in there that didn't know she could see visions. The vision itself made her blood run cold. The lights went towards the lake and something started to rise out of it. And then it ended as quickly as it began. Really, her visions were not super great sometimes. She didn't sign up for any Cthulu levels of insanity. The only people she could tell were Olivia and Declan, but she wouldn't do so now.

"I don't know about everyone else, but I've had it with serial killer mansion for a day. I'm gonna head outside." She walked past everyone, stopping briefly at Olivia before she whispered, "I had another vision, meet me outside." She then made her way back out. She hoped no one had the idea of contacting the police. First, they would get in trouble for going into what was probably still considered a crime scene. Two, the police would take whatever evidence they found. And three, they were incompetent and would muck it up, no doubt.

Robin Marshall

Leaving the basement, Robin wondered about the scene he'd left behind, more of a movie set than anything else. Finley had the right idea –– getting some air to shake off the discomfort of finding actual evidence –– but it seemed rude to just leave the others to wait out by his van. He followed Heather to the second floor, where he waited inside the master bedroom, but by the door. The picture he'd stashed earlier was a massive weight in the inside pocket of his jacket, or so it felt. That he was technically stealing it from a place of interest was more to blame.

He brought it out as requested, stooping over her to get a better look at the matching image she had found.

"Let me know when you wanna get out of here," he said, spinning his van keys around his index finger. "I wonder if we can find out who that Siegfried guy is in town. Or if anybody inherited this house, or something."

Lydia Weaver

Location: Her house
Interacting With: Robert, Jenna and Siegfried

Lydia was not too thrilled with the way that this conversation was going, and somehow Jenna was not freaking out at all about this. She was just standing there, asking a few questions calmly, when this guy could probably kill them in an instant. Lydia was starting to wonder just how long it would be for the guy to break free and come after them. She was starting to back away a little more, towards the door, away from the demon guy, since she did not know what to do.

"Uh, Jenna? I'm with Robert on this one, maybe we should get out of here," she said, sticking real close to Robert still. This was not going to end well, and she had no idea what she was doing in this situation still. Jenna had asked her questions, gotten some answers, now it was time for them to leave, but Lydia didn't know if she should leave Jenna alone, though she really didn't want to. She was starting to panic even more, but she remained somewhat in control of her emotions, trying not to go crazy or anything by how freaked out she was. She hated being in this situation.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive

"Asmodeus?" Jenna asked, trying her best not to laugh. She wasn't sure if it was just built up insanity from all of the emotional trauma she had been going through lately, having her entire life upended by a single letter that told her any family she thought she had was a lie. "Were all the good villain names taken by comic book characters?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She was pretty certain that given he was a demon, fear was the last thing they wanted to show or express. It seemed like advice that would've been given in a horror movie. "It's alright, he's not getting out of that trap," Jenna reassured Lydia.

She then flipped through the book, spotting a few more interesting spells. "We'll be back, NPC underling," Jenna then said to the demon as she shut the book, motioning for Lydia and Robert to leave the room before she did. Once they were all out, Jenna locked the door behind her and grabbed the salt canister for baking from the kitchen, creating the thick salt line just as Abe had instructed. She then did the same thing with the windows. "Right, well, Abe is coming to deal with the demon. However, I think it's safe to say that they've intended Riley to act as a host for Asmodeus - but I doubt it's working or they would have done it already...which means she's dying but we still have time."

@BlueSky44 @Morose Siegfried just simply shook his head towards Jenna on his comment on his master's name as he continued to patiently pace around the circle. Seeing Lydia's and Robert's fear made him smirk even more. "Oh I can sense your fear little ones it is quiet tasty." Siegfried said as he watched the three of them leave the basement and heard the door close behind them. He was patient after all, as he simply stood there. The salt would hold him back for awhile at least along with the devil trap, but he had quiet a few tricks up his sleeve as well, it would be a few minutes until Abe and Kosara would make it there.

@Dragoknighte "Coffee it is then." Halsey said as she started to get the coffee brewed up, as she went towards a cupboard and pulled out two coffee mugs and waited for it to be brewed up. She listened in on Harry's question it now narrowed it down quiet a bit as she started to go back and think back to Red Lake's founding. "The town itself dates all the way back to April 13th, 1773 its founded was Avery Johnson, his descendant are still in this town, and still own the family house as well." Halsey said as she heard the coffee maker go off, and headed back into the kitchen and started to pour two cups of coffee. Then she turned back into the living room and set down the cup in front of Harry.

"Though the natives in the area did not like the idea of them moving in the area and in 1780 there was a dispute that ended up killing the town's founder, and then five years later fighting starts between the locals and the towns people. Rumor has it that a group of Satanists were the ones behind the fighting, worshiping the demon Asmodeus who has been rumored to be trapped somewhere on these lands imprisoned thousands of years ago." Halsey said as she looked directly towards Harry as he took whatever notes that he needed.

"I think it is a good idea to leave as well.." Olivia said she looked around the room, it looked pretty abandoned now as well and she couldn't see or find anything else that was movable that revealed any other secret compartments. As Olivia was about to leave she felt Finley stopping her and whispering into her ear. She was surprised that Finley actually got another vision and simply nodded as she started to leave the room. "I'll meet you by the front door then." Olivia whispered back to Finley as she started up the stairs, and waited by the switch and pulled it. She watched as the door started to close behind them again as the room shook slightly once more sealing it behind them.

Olivia looked at Heather as she mentioned a picture and started to head back towards the main part of the house, and then found the picture once more and came back and made her way towards Heather and handed her the painting. "Here you go Heather." Olivia whispered back towards her before motioning for Finley to follow her and then leaned herself up slightly against the side of the house and then looked at Finley and looked around. "So what did you find?" Olivia asked, Declan was of course close by as well appearing to be interested as well as to what Finley had seen.

Abraham Serafin

Abraham watched as Kosara quickly got into the passenger seat of his car and then started up the car and quickly started to pull out and started to drive through town. He listened to his niece as she spook and shook his head towards her, he didn't have any devil trap bullets and those would take a bit of time to get. "Sadly I haven't had time and didn't think we would need any until now things were peaceful and no demon activity." Abe answered his niece as he drove and stopped at an intersection at the center of town and sighed slightly as he leaned back in his seat and looked at her for a moment.

He didn't like the idea that Jenna ended up seeking the demon out, but he had to give it to her she was pretty resourceful when looking into the supernatural on her own. "I'm just wondering how exactly she found a way to make a devils trap." Abraham said as the light went green and started to continue to drive and made his way closer towards Jenna but it would be another couple of minutes. "We will get the answers that we need from him, so do not exorcise him just yet until we have what we need from the demon." He told her.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Abe's car

She sighed and shook her head, pulling the long bag from the backseat where she was keeping her sword." That's why I guess I should be prepared..." She mumbled and pulled a permanent sharpie to circle a few devil traps on the blade itself. It wasn't the most elegant way of doing it, but dammit it could probably buy a few moments or something. At least she was good with the drawing circles if nothing else." Well might keep it in place if I stab it for ehh... a few hours maybe. Depends on how well the ink holds. Also this is a good point to always make more bullets just in case we ever need them. Having good provisions and stock is what wins wars."

"I know my job, Abe." Kosara replied with a shrug." Exorcising also pains them to hell so it can be used for interrogation... by the way do we have any syringes? Holy water in the veins is a real good way to get them talking!" Kosara smirked, putting the sword bag in the bag and tossing it under the back seat.

"Well doesn't matter... She's a good girl, but we will need to put her under control or training... she already knows how to summon demons. As hunters we cannot leave her to move about free... Either we teach her the way of a hunter to put that knowledge to good use or we have to find a way to stop her from using it. Either way is not a good solution, but better that than her ending as the next demon summoner or an evil witch. Demons after all are the source of many witches." She added with a hint of desperation and fatigue.

Finley Alestair

Location: Abandoned House

Finley moved outside, waiting for Decland and Olivia to follow her. The others were still interested in the house a bit, which was perfect as she didn't want to explain it to them. It was hard enough bringing Olivia into the fold, she didn't like or trust the others and they didn't deserve to know.

Olivia finally made it outside and Finley came up to her, along with Declan. She glanced around, making sure no one was around, before she spoke. "Ok, it wasn't anything great, but there were all these lights going to the lake, and then something started coming out of the lake. It ended before I could see it, but my senses are telling me the lake is important and probably the next step. It wasn't until night though, so we have some time. Not sure if you want the others to come along, but I'm going tonight. I'd rather not bring a large group, but it's up to you."

"Thank you." Heather said to Robin and then held the photos so he could see them both easily. "We could try city hall. They probably have records. We can look at who has owned this house." She opened the back of the photo frame again in the off chance there was something important in it. Again there wasn't and she closed the picture and put it back down where she had found it.

"Let me do a quick sweep of the other rooms, check the closets. Then we'll go." She was ready to go now, but they were here to check the house. They might as well do a complete job of it. Mind you she wasn't going to be checking the floorboards for hidden boxes, but she did want to make sure there wasn't anything obvious. The group doubted that the PI had gotten to the upstairs, but that didn't mean the cops hadn't so it was likely that the upstairs had been cleared of any other actual evidence. That thought made her start to doubt that Sigfried was important. She checked the other rooms quickly but didn't find anything that stood out to her.

"Okay let's go." Heather said and started back down the stairs slowly.

Miranda Burke

Location:Abandoned House Interacting with: Heather Ali, Robin Marshall, Finley, and Olivia:

It didn’t seem to be any more of a reason to hang around this creepy place, they found clues that confirmed Riley at some point was in this disgusting place, poor girl… They seemed so close but yet so far away, another thing that caught the attention of Miranda was the incompetence of the deputies, sure some may not be the best but she knew there was some there good at the jobs, so how did this gets missed? Sure the police don’t exactly have a supernatural department. But still this was important. She took some picture while Finley, Oli and Dec had physical evidence, truth be told Miranda simply didn’t want to be in this place anymore.

The group bit by bit made their way out, Heather and Robin had made their way into the house to probably double check things, was probably a smart move, but that place certainly has had it in her eyes, maybe it should be knocked down. Nothing good can come from a house with secrets like that. While the other trio had gone off to their little group to have their little private chat, Miri was contempt to go over and lean against her car.

She would leave but it was possible someone might need a lift back, hopefully not another awkward silence drive with Finley. She had time to think about what they had seen, but just what in the hell kind of voodoo shit was going down? She was still getting to grips with werewolves let alone more sinister things whatever they may be. For now, she checks the pictures she had saved on her phone while waiting to see if anyone needed a lift.

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
Halsey's shop

Harry listened to her words and wrote them down in shorthand as she spoke, not really paying attention to what his hand was doing. It was more like how a grandmother would knit while holding a conversation then an intensely focused record keeping like how he normally scriblled down everything he thought could potentially be important. Perhaps his sloppier than normal note taking would come back to bite him in the ass, but he wasn't worried about that at that moment.

"So these supposed Satanists," the investigator interjected, picking up his cup of coffee and taking a sip before continuing, "I imagine that those suspected of being Pagan, let alone devil worshippers became quite infamous figures in the history of the town of Red Lake, regardless of their true status of being guilty or innocent. Would you happen to know more about them? Names, occupations, ownership of any historically significant features in the town. Things of that nature." Could one of these Satanists have been that man who's image he's found in the abandoned house? Very likely, but the fact that there was supposedly an entire group of these people could be far more significant than the actions of a single man.

Lydia Weaver

Interacting With: Robert, Jenna and Siegfried

Lydia nodded her head in agreement with the idea of leaving the room without talking to this guy anymore. He was giving her the creeps, and she knew that Robert wanted to get out of the room too. She was glad when Jenna finally stopped asking the guy a bunch of questions, even though she was getting a bunch of answers to her questions, that probably was going to be useful or something. When Jenna headed back upstairs, she didn't hesitate to follow her, just glad to get out of the room.

She listened to Jenna's words about her suspicions about what was going on with Riley. It made sense, at least from her stand point of not having any sort of idea what she was doing. Jenna seemed to know what she was doing, and talking about based on her words, but she was still confused about things, but it didn't matter now. "Alright, sounds fine to me... I'm going to be honest with you, I'm still a little confused on the whole demon thing... she said, but there wasn't much else she could do.

Jenna just shrugged. She wasn't really sure how to explain the demonic activity anymore than she already had. "Look, next step is simple - demons seem to just be parasites. So all we need to do is figure out who Sig-bitch is possessing and then ask around to see if anyone's seen him. He's probably just operating out of his house or something." Sure, maybe she was being blunt and just getting to the point, but it was the way she operated. They had a decent lead on how to find Riley. Jenna was certain that if they could find the house of the poor sap Sig-bitch was possessing, they'd get another lead.

"Anyways, did the guy he was possessing look familiar to either of you?" Jenna asked, getting a glass of water and drinking it slowly. It wouldn't be too long until Abe got there and she was already feeling mildly irritated with the questions he was going to ask her. She couldn't help but wonder, however, how he'd react when she revealed that she could see ghosts. Of course! "Maybe I just need to ask the Mayor who the demon is possessing and if they had any other known meeting points, beyond the abandoned house...I doubt they'll use that location again."
