Appearance: Joryldin looks very average for a vampire. Having only been turned recently, he's no taller or more muscular than the average human (he's actually kind of scrawny). Joryldin's face is smooth and appealing, but not to the supernatural extent of his peers. Dark grey hair covers eyes that are almost perpetually red, and hidden further by a large hood.

Personality: In almost all scenarios, Joryldin is quiet and reserved. When he does speak, he's unsure and nervous. He's kindhearted for the most part, likes to help where he can and make a difference in other people's lives. It takes a lot to get any sort of reaction from him other than melancholy, but when you do get a rise out of him, his temper is explosive!
Bio: Born human and orphaned at age 5 when his parents were executed for speaking out against the vampires, Joryldin had grown up loathing the world's social order. Left alone on the streets to fend for himself, he prayed every day that he wouldn't become a mage and be forced to be some vampire's plaything. Living on the streets made him tough. He stole to survive and killed more than one would-be kidnapper. No way in hell would he get caught up in human trafficking, he would [b]NOT[b] be anyone's slave.
It wasn't until about age 11 that something put the brakes on his rampant spite and fiery independence. A widowed vampire countess, who's husband was killed by lycans in the war, nabbed him off the street. He nearly stabbed her before she had a chance to put him under her thrall. As far as vampires go, she was a saint. Patient to a near ludicrous extent, tolerant of his rampant disrespect and unreasonably loving. She took Joryldin in and raised him as her own.
Spending his adolescent years in vampire society was like torture for him. Their pointless authoritative control over everything in his life drove him up the walls, and he was nearly killed several times for giving his superiors a piece of his mind. It got so bad that his mother was given a choice. Either turn him, or he would be executed for his disrespect like any other human would be.
Seeing no other option, his mother did as told. Joryldin protested, furious at even the idea of being turned, but she was his new mother and she cared about him, so he accepted her embrace. Something other than Joryldin's body died that day. He was never quite the same. The burning defiance towards the world was smothered when he became another cog in the vampire's machine.

Deep down, he's ashamed of what he's become and treats humans as *better* than him. He's afraid to feed, and hides his eyes because he doesn't want to accidentally mess with someone's emotions. He's neglected to feed and nearly gone feral on several ocasions, and his biggest fear is that everyone will see him for the monster he sees himself as.

The water line of his eyes is a deep vermilion, as if sore and irritated. His skin, free of any kind of blemishes, holds a very porcelain aesthetic to it. His iris' are a washed down amber, dull and lifeless. His hair is short and spiky, often left disheveled and untamed. In his right ear he sports a single earring, with a matching nose ring in his left nostril. A tattoo of a three headed serpent coils around his right arm and along his shoulder blade, splitting off so that a head rests along each collar bone. The final head drapes around his neck, like a noose.
Personality
To put it bluntly, Dominique Astorio is a bit of a wreck. Emotional, volatile and downright dangerous at times, the young Pureblood has an attitude problem that has drawn the ire of many. He tends to isolate himself through his actions, making those around him feel uneasy in his presence. His abusive relationship with his father has made him emotionally distant and has stifled his social skills. Being born into a noble family has made him very entitled and spoiled, abusing the fear of his father's influence on Lord Peiron to force lesser Vampires into entertaining his childish whims. With little regard for anyone but himself, Dominique doesn't seem to care if other's are put at risk during his thrill-seeking shenanigans.

When he was younger, he was compliant to the his father's every desire. The young boy was praised often for his proper etiquette and appropriate mannerisms. Though as the years went on, the burden placed on Dominique would only grow. Eventually he began to slip and make the mistakes, which were harshly punished. The punishments became more frequent - once a month, twice a week and then numerous times a day. All for such petty reasons; using the wrong honorifics when addressing an elder or placing the wrong inflection upon a word.
Dominique, living in constant fear of his father's wrath, was too afraid to even speak. He isolated himself from others, thinking he could please his father with utter compliance. There was no pleasing him. With all eternity ahead of him, it would seem Dominique's father was content to abuse him for what felt like sport at that point. So eventually, Dominique snapped. Nearly a century old, Dominique had had enough of being his father's plaything and revolted against his captor. His little tantrum nearly completely wrecked the manor his father owned. After that, Dom gained a reputation among his peers for being a loose cannon. Wild, unpredictable and dangerous. His rather beat him within an inch of his life, furious at how his own son had almost destroyed all the good favor he had built with Lord Peiron. He told Dom he could barely stand the sight of him; and that he would be sending him off to Noila Academy before the ungrateful brat forced him to do something he'd really regret. Minfilia is a young lady who understands the importance of her role in society as a Mage. She is stern and by the book, preferring not to deal in nonsense. If there is a job worth doing, it's worth doing well. She is often seen as a little too serious for her age - but her meticulous work ethic and obedience is a quality highly sought after by Vampires seeking a Mage partner. Yet make no mistake, Minfilia's actions are self serving. She understands that everyone, even Vampires, are resources to be exploited. To attain power and influence, she must play their game. Minfilia isn't above stepping over people to elevate herself, and she certainly has no issue swallowing her pride and playing the part of a subservient puppet. Years of wearing a different face in order to manipulate others had led her to be quite talented at it. Coupled with her general secrecy and dislike of discussing personal affairs, most don't know Minfilia enough to assume she has an ulterior motive.

Why fight when you can laugh? Why work when you can sleep? Ike is not the picture of "Vampiric Royalty" not by far, but he is in fact a pureblood of house Eve. In his youth he was an obedient little boy, doing everything he was told and learning all he would. In time though, came his current mindset. The more he learned about the world, the more he really did hate it. The world was fully of greedy, hate filled people be they vampire or human. Everyone worked for their own goals, no matter their outward appearance. Despite pessimistic and overall "Fuck it" attitude for life, he is a very friendly young man who loves to see people around him having fun and forgetting for once in their lives ( or their undeath ) forgetting the troubles of the world. He is slow to get moving, and extremely difficult to anger, but once he is moving he is a terror to behold.

Like all who grow up in the Houses, Ike was given a very formal education that included being trained in weaponry and combat. Though he disliked fighting, he was found to be extremely effective at hand to hand combat due to him being naturally quicker than most vampires he found himself fighting. Due to this, he was gifted a pair of Silver and Steel Brass Knuckles that he keeps on himself whenever possible.
Unexpectedly, many find him to be a good example of a Young Eve, always trying to keep neutral, constantly diffusing situations and often being the final say in many situations. He already has begun to enjoy his time at the Academy, albeit mostly because he has somebody to talk to who is not a servant of some kind or contantly looking down on him because of his youth.

Mariette Carlisle Eve
Mariette's choice of clothing does nothing to hide her curvaceous body. She is usually seen in the latest outfits with a tight fit. Of course, she would prefer to wear baggy attire that conceals her form, but it would be unbefitting of a noble. At five feet eight inches, she's tall but certainly not towering over anyone else. Her naturally dark hair falls in layers past her shoulders, in varying shades of red and brown. Her eyes, though red when she's hungry, are usually an emerald green color. She has creamy porcelain skin, without a nick or scratch in sight due to her enhanced healing.

Mariette is a genuinely curious person. She craves all kinds of knowledge and wants to experience everything that she can throughout her eternal life. In her youth -before she learned what was proper- she used to question her superiors' orders, wishing to know why things were the way they were. Usually, she was punished for it. However, she never pleaded to get out of those punishments, preferring to know what it was like to be disciplined so she could gain that experience and move on with her life. She believes that the day her inquisitiveness fades is the day that she is truly dead.
When she is interacting with other nobles, it's like she snaps into a trance. Gone is the overwhelming energy she has when she chases experience. It is replaced with a cool persona, one that is calm and collected. She only lets her excitement and curiosity out whenever the noble in question has earned her trust. Even then, it's usually lessened.
Mariette isn't pessimistic or optimistic. Rather, she is realistic. She knows that her mage will eventually die and that a new one will take their place. She knows that the treaty was signed by both parties, but that it favors her kind. She realizes that she will never experience the channeling and usage of magic no matter how much it kills her that she will always be limited in that way. She is not a dreamer, her head isn't in the clouds. She is deeply rooted in the earth, wanting to learn everything she can about what is real before she dares to travel into the cosmos.

Her father, having been fond of the woman who gave birth to one of his children, allowed the mage to be a part of Mariette's early life. This -alongside her family's affection towards their mages- taught Mariette not to treat mages as less-than. Instead, she treated them as a gift. Something to be valued and cared for, but also utilized and played with. When they passed on or broke they could be replaced, but not without feeling a great loss.
It wasn't long until her mother passed, and the time for playing with mortals was over. After all, a member of the noble family had to be trained in order to be great. So, classes began. Mariette's favorite lessons were about history and politics. She craved information on the history of her kind and the magic that was stagnant in some mortals but flowing powerfully in others. Her second favorite class was combat training. She was taught how to defend herself against a bigger foe, with her hands and with daggers. Then of course, there were etiquette courses. These taught her to rein in her natural curiosity. Namely when she was confronted by superiors. What Mariette cherished most were the meetings with her father behind closed doors. That was where she learned the most important lessons. Stay curious, he reminded her. That was the example the true Head of the house had tried to teach them. Stay neutral, he chided whenever she spoke up without knowing both sides of the situation. That was their family's way, after all.
There were other, more important things he told her. Things that had to stay hidden until the time was right. However, an important part of this plan was getting into the Academy. Plenty of Eve members had been chosen, but she hadn't been one of them. So, she took it up with Ike, a member of a different branch of the Eve family. With a few persuasive words and the promise of change she was able to convince him to leave the Academy, despite his love of the place. Soon after, her letter came in the mail and she was on her way to the Academy.

- She is full of energy, bouncing her leg when she's seated or tapping her side when she's standing. She tries to avoid doing this in front of other Nobles.
