The Marvel films aren't that great once you watch them a second time, but that's just me.

Yeah, because they're better.

I doubt many of the movies are better the second time around. But I watched The Avengers more than once and I liked it the same amount both times. I'm sure some of the better ones hold up. (I.E Infinity War) I think if I watch something like Thor Ragnarok or Black Panther again I'd have a significantly lesser opinion of it. Now that I've listened to others analysis and opinions of it. But I was already pretty cold on those.

The movies are, for the most part, better with foresight. The bad ones you can't do anything about but even the ones that were considered less good on release, like Age of Ultron, has the benefit of paying off in future installments.

Depends on the marvel movie.

Iron Man is good on a rewatch.

Black Panther isnt.

Well yes, the bad movies don't magically become good on rewatch.

I always rewatch the movies I enjoy, it allows me to pick up on details I didn't before due to a lack of knowledge. Foreshadowing is a fun writing tool when done subtly.

Want to say that everyone who watches movies should have or should see Searching. Seriously.

Watched Venom and it was okay. The first half was hilarious and fun. The second half happened.
The relationship between the Symbiote and Eddie was one thing I thoroughly enjoyed.

Watched a Simple Favor and maybe it's because I'm a simple person but I found the events leading up to the conclusion a bit confusing. Doesn't detract from my enjoyment of it however. Is also a more... lighthearted version of Gone Girl which was an amazingly disturbing film.

Watched Kin. Sloppy setup to a sequel that I could have been excited for but... the setup was... I have never been threatened with falling asleep in the middle of a screening until I watched that film.

...Am I allowed to talk about series on here? Started Maniac on Netflix and that shit is interesting. Making me want to watch and finish Legion which I have not.

Happy to elaborate on any of these.

You're joking right?

Can't wait! If this is anywhere near as good as the other live action remakes it should be a lot of fun.

Yeah...

The only remake I was forced to sit through was "Pete's Dragon", back when I visited my sisters in California. Everyone else was bored out of their goddamn minds and I was losing it. Because the movie, when nothing wasn't happening in the briefest of moments, it insulted my intelligence on a dozen or more occasions and was mind-numbing in how terrible it all was. And that's coming from someone who wasn't even fond/watched the original more than once.

I really don't want them to ruin Aladdin...

Even though it's just a teaser, I think it's fair to say it'll be, at the very least, decent. From director to writers to the main cast, it has the potential to be great. Though what we saw was just a small taste of what was to come, it, at least to me, had the right feel of a live-action adaptation of Aladdin. A little darker in tone, but the shots of the desert and the Palace off in the distance and the Cave of Wonders really does seem like they're going to do the original film justice. Only time will tell, of course, I've got a good feeling about this one.

@Hey Im Jordan Yeah, I can't wait for the obviously painful autotune singing. <.<'

*I've heard basically nothing good about most of these movies and clips I've seen would be enough for me to never want to watch them, but hey like what you like.*

Does a family movie really insult your intelligence? Like do you only watch Fellini and Bergman films?

@Fabricant451 When it's as badly written as the remake of Pete's Dragon is. There's a high possibility.

@Fabricant451 It's honestly been forever since I've seen that movie. Nor would I be inclined to watch it all again. But the entire bridge scene/3rd act of the movie was basically the only thing I even remember about it, and it was because it was so bad/made no actual sense. I can't remember specifics. But I'm pretty sure it was a climax that comes out of nowhere, wasn't in the original in the first place, the characters act inconsistently/make wholly illogical decisions, I believe shots of the movie were inconsistent/the cgi was generally bad. And I believe it also resulted in an anti-climax. It was like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.

*I'm also being slightly hyperbolic, I don't expect much from most movies, let alone Disney remakes*

I think I found the problem. Movies are dope. Expect things from them!
