Also I was thinking about it-- I don't mind if we stray away from monotype patterns in the Elite Four, but it'd be pretty nice if you could have a theme around your team. That, or something that you might be known as-- like a title!

So I was on the fence about whether to apply at first-- but then I got hit with an idea for a big angry bean who likes cute smol beans. Guy looks like he can suplex two dudes at once but his first Pokémon ever was an Azurill and if you got a problem with that he'll schedule your teeth a quick date with his fist.

I was honestly tempted to do that at first, but I feel like the dynamic wouldn't be as fun to write out. That, and we'd have to rely on monotype parties :(

Fairy/cute theme for mine. Those not in the know probably expect him to use dragons or dark types or pseudos or something based on the way he looks/acts, and then get completely caught off guard when a Belly Drummin' Azumarill wrecks their life.

As for the rest of the team, he's at least got a Dedenne that basically lives atop his head and a spoiled-rotten Alolan Ninetales. Not sure about the rest.

For the amount of people, could also have Champion, Elite Four and one or two Gym Leaders only (the highest ranking ones), maybe? Perhaps they're good enough to be on the running for Elite Four in the future, and that's why they know the rest. Mm, though it makes for a less cohesive group than just having the 4 + Champ. I'm fine with whatever, but all 8 Gym Leaders might be a bit too many people.

I'm gonna have it that the Elite Four turned into a slightly bigger group of people called the Elite during the past five years. :)
