Ezra: fair enough. One second.

*kneels down, and says a minor prayer. Shortly after, holy sigils appear in the snow around us*

Anything under the demon's influence can no longer reach is, inside of this circle.

*I nod, noticing the strange difference in the feel of the divine power currently surrounding us*

Hmm, this is quite different from Father's power. I suppose that only makes sense given my current circumstances, however.

*I turn towards you*

Ah, good. Wouldn't do for that coward to gain victory over us when we are most vulnerable. *I pause* Or when you are, rather.

The serums. By what mechanism do they boost a body's healing rate?

The most efficient and self-regulating way. Accelerating cell growth and promoting growth in areas the body otherwise can’t really do on its own.

Definitely not magically. I’m not well versed enough to work with it. It’s chemical.

Not at all, actually. It was an issue a long time ago, but I improved upon it starting from a foundation that was already near perfect.

I see, how interesting. Is it generic for various species?

I only have perfected it for humans and those similar.

I'm surprised that there's a chemical solution that works on that level. What about stamina? Does it consume a lot of their energy reserves?

It’s designed to help, but admittedly does rely on some energy from the user though. It’s typically not an issue I run into when using it since I typically use quick-and-easy solutions like that on Tier Fours which tend to have some semblance of power surplus.

Old fart called Dr. Briz. Took my fundamental—to-intermediate knowledge of science and mechanics and just made me exponentially better when I was a child.

Not mad. Actually one of the sanest people I’ve ever known, I think. A lot of others might have called him mad, though.
