@Crimson Flame Honestly, in an RP like this, civilian powers aren't necessary. I'd recommend only taking powers if you feel that it will expand the narrative possibilities of your character. Like, the Triforian character I'm thinking of wouldn't have civilian powers because Triforians don't have them and he wouldn't need them to expand his narrative, but if I went with the Angel guy I would probably give him powers. The older warrior type would probably see powers as a crutch for his warrior prowess, but the Mentor type would probably need them for mentor stuff, much like most of the series mentors having weird powers.

Remember that free form RP's exist with the rule of narrative. This means that fights are decided by the needs of the story, rather than the power of the characters.

Example: in the Turbo movie, the gang of 5 in full morph has trouble taking on Piranhatrons. Meanwhile later in the series itself, an unmorphed Justin is able to solo 10 Piranhatrons without problems

This is true, and I am having it where powers being optional and not required. Just if you want and we can work from there. My char will not have a power and just do not stress about finding a power or not. If you cannot think of one that you want for your char then perhaps not have one if it takes too long to figure out.

I have yet to read the OOC, but I am interested in the concept, especially the idea of aliens instead of humans, it gives me ideas, is it like custom races ( as long as they not over the top i assume.) or something more akin to what is already establish in the ranger verse?

Still looking for a new red ranger, and I should clarify that I am just looking for two arms, two legs, and being bipedal is mainly what I am looking for in an alien player character.
