Name: Dustin Syoka Age: 17 Important items: A pair of wireless earbuds and his phone, which he uses to listen to music pretty much constantly. Personality: Dustin often outwardly appears reserved and aloof. While he is rather guarded with his feelings, it's less indifference and more that he's not very good at expressing himself. Although he may fail to find the words, he isn't one to run from his problems, and is rather decisive when the situation calls for it. His demeanor is rather deadpan and may come off as serious, but he is pretty casual and easygoing once you get to know him. He is brutally honest and cares little for the opinions of others, but conversely can be very self-critical and perfectionist. At the same time, he doesn't believe in things like personal limits or inherent talent, and has both thick skin and low self-esteem as a result. He consistently fails to notice when he does something impressive, but then, it's not like he's ever trying to impress anyone.
Short Bio: Dustin was cursed with the title of "gifted" child, and while he's always excelled in academics, his parents had a habit of downplaying his successes and magnifying his mistakes. Nothing he did ever felt like it was good enough, and when it was perfect, it never seemed to matter to them. As a result, when he inevitably slipped and they blew up on him over it, he gave up on being perfect. He gave up on engaging with his parents when they gave one-sided, out-of-touch lectures about the importance of this or that without actually saying anything of substance. He gave up on arguing with teachers when their shitty print-outs from the 90s contained grammatical errors that arguably changed the context of the question and therefore the answer. Perhaps most importantly, he gave up on being in three different extracurricular clubs at the same time that would allegedly look good when applying to colleges. While Dustin still does his due diligence, he's no longer one to shoot for the moon, to hold himself to an impossibly high standard. He doesn't need such things to make him happy, or so he tells himself. He still cares about his parents, but not so much that he wants them to be a part of his eventual adult life, and not so much that he's willing to let them control his life any longer.
With actual time to himself, he was able to enjoy having hobbies again. Music and video games, of course, though he also picked up a game called Card Wars that was popular at his school at the time. He played with people casually as he came to understand the meta and library of cards the game had. When someone mentioned to him that there was a big regional tournament going on relatively close by, he decided to sign up for fun. While he didn't expect much, he also decided to plan out and put together an anti-meta deck that his friends would go on to call disgusting. As the day of the tournament arrived and he won game after game, he soon found himself to be the winner of the entire thing. This qualified him to attend a bigger international tournament, which was going to be held in Hawaii. They would even send him plane tickets when the details of the tournament was finalized. This was why, when the invitation came, Dustin assumed it was related to the card game tournament, and told his parents as such. Although he couldn't find an announcement about the tournament online, he didn't particularly care. Even if the trip wasn't related to the tournament, it's not like he would mind multiple free vacations to Hawaii.
Skills:
Multitasking (to a comically unnecessary yet surprisingly effective degree)
Computer Literacy, Rudimentary Coding; taught himself how to make a few mods and romhacks for games.
Can play the Piano; pretty good at sight-reading sheet music
Dustin's Digimon Partner:
Name: Cardmon Age: 1 Type: Data Personality: Cardmon is not a complicated digimon. He is young and naive, wanting nothing more than the strength to defend himself and his trees, and to make Dustin happy. Instinctual enemies with Hangyomon, who are known card collectors.
Short Bio: Cardmon has only ever lived a simple life, floating atop trees, minding his own business. One day, in a fit of pique, a purple Digimon kicked its tree, causing Cardmon to fall off even though it can fly. Cardmon is clumsy like that. Naturally, he attacked and cursed the interloper, because really? Kicking his tree? Nonetheless, Cardmon was soundly defeated. As Cardmon laid there, saddened by his own powerlessness, the purple Digimon stepped forward and extended an offer to Cardmon, recruiting it for something or other. According to the purple Digimon, if Cardmon agreed, it would allow him to grow much stronger, digivolving to higher stages with the help of a human partner. Thinking it would be able to stand up for itself, to stop other Digimon from pushing it around, Cardmon agreed. Powers:
Card Curse - Cardmon's one and only combat skill. Cardmon batters a foe with its card, or throws out its card before recalling it. Targets hit by Cardmon's card become cursed, lowering their offenses, speed, or defenses at random. The curse is persistent, and more or less incurable except over time. The curse lasts most of a day, about 8 hours, give or take, and can affect even the mightiest of foes. That being said, the curse's effect is based on Cardmon's strength, not the target's, so significantly stronger enemies may not even notice the curse at all.
Drop Booster - With significant energy investment, Cardmon is capable of producing booster packs, each containing 6 cards. Most cards have digimon on them, though a few are "option cards" meant to supplement play of a simplified Digimon card game. (Does not mirror real-life digimon cards) With training and new evolution stages, Cardmon can learn to produce new card packs with stronger cards in them. These cards... are just cards.
While on par or even slightly above other digimon of a similar level in terms of raw stats, All forms of Cardmon (including Champion, Perfect and Mega Cardmon forms) are incapable of developing additional combat skills, severely limiting their fighting potential. Their Card Curse becomes a bit stronger with each evolution but the relative effect of the curse does not keep up with the increase in strength most Digimon achieve at higher evolutions. Future Evolutions: Mimicmon → Jokermon → Noble Pumpmon ↕ Cardmon C1 → Cardmon U1 → Cardmon R1 → Cardmon S1 ↕ ↕ ↕ ↕ Cardmon C2 → Cardmon U2 → Cardmon R2 → Cardmon S2
Cardmon is a named used by 8 varieties of regular digimon. They can be distinguished by a suffix: C1, C2, U1, U2, R1, R2, S1, and S2. Cardmon -1 are arboreal, while Cardmon -2 are aquatic, using their card(s) like fins. Cardmon C are Rookie level, with U, R and S corresponding to Champion, Perfect and Mega levels. The letters themselves stand for Common, Uncommon, Rare and Special or Super-rare.
Name: Joel Holloway Age: 17 Physical Description: Important items:
His sketchbook
A mechanical pencil he’s had since middle school
Personality:
Joel is quiet, gentle, and deeply empathetic. He feels things strongly and often picks up on emotions others miss, but struggles to express his own. He prefers to show how he’s feeling through drawing or writing. He values deep, honest connection but worries he’s too much or not enough for people to truly stay.
Despite his soft nature, Joel is resilient. He’s been through loss and rejection, but still shows up for others with care and patience. He tends to put others’ needs before his own and overthinks everything, often at the cost of his confidence.
Short Bio: Joel Holloway grew up in the shadow of his older brother Adrian, a perfect student athlete who tragically passed away. His grieving parents placed impossible expectations on Joel to follow in his brother’s footsteps, but it quickly became clear that Joel wasn’t like his brother at all.
He became quiet and withdrawn. Only expressing himself through art that he didn’t share with anyone. He fell in love with a boy in his class. For a moment, it felt like life might have meaning again. Until he worked up the nerve to tell the boy how he felt. And the boy told everyone else.
The fallout was humiliating. There was laughter, gossip, name calling. His parents weren’t homophobic, but they weren’t supportive either. Telling him “maybe don’t tell people everything, sweetheart.”
The invitation to the Hawaiian resort seemed like a miracle. A chance to get away from his problems for a while. He accepted without hesitation, hoping to breathe again.
Skills:
Artistic expression (drawing, writing)
Deep emotional intelligence and empathy
Good listener and natural at comforting others
Surprising composure under stress
Creative, outside-the-box problem solving

Name: Nate Ashbee Age: 14 Physical Description: Important items: His jacket, the first thing he bought with the money he got from his part time job Short Bio: Even when he was a small child Nate's parents both had jobs to support the family but they did their best give him the attention he needed. Wanting to help out at least a little Nate got a part time job as soon as it was legal for him to do, working as a stockboy. The job wasn't great and his schoolwork suffered a little as a result but the pay was decent.
Knowing his parents could never afford to let him go to Hawaii otherwise Nate convinced them to let him go to the resort, even though all three of were distrustful of the offer. However he had to promise them to at least send a video message or facetime them once a day. Of course Nate had a great time at the resort, the pool being a big personal favorite of his.
Nate was talking to his parents on his tablet when the blackout and storm hit meaning they saw him disappear, not knowing he was sent to the Digital World. As a result Nate is desperate to get in contact and let them know he is still alive. Personality: Nate has always preferred being outside and active over just sitting around. In fact he easily gets impatient and bored when he has nothing to do. However he does enjoy a good story from time to time, especially ones about adventure. He can be quite stubborn once he has made his mind up, and has done some stupid things in the past as result. He does learn from his mistakes though.
Skills:
Swimming
Tree climbing
Starting campfires
Digimon Character Sheet
Name:Gotsumon Age: 6 Physical Description: Type: Data Short Bio: Gotsumon's life was pretty simple. He had carved a small bit of territory for himself and his gang of Tokomon and MetalKoromon, collecting the best rocks they could find for his body. Not wanting his followers to become strong enough to overthrow him Gotsumon took care of any intruders by either fighting or pretending to be a pile of rocks until they left.
His plan worked for a few months, mostly because his territory didn't really have anything except for rocks. That didn't keep him from playing up the difficulties he faced keeping his followers safe wanting them to look up to him.
One day he challenged a purple dragon Digimon and after being defeated was recruited for what was apparently a mission from Yggdragassil. Gotsumon isn't too sure he believes it but since the alternative is being deleted he is willing to play along. Powers:
Angry Rock: shoots extremely hard ore from its head.
Wild Strike: Swings its arms wildly while moving towards the enemy.
Hardest Punch: Throws a very powerful punch.
Earth Shaker: A pillar made of rock emerges from the ground.
- A Platinum Debit Card that links to an exclusive bank account. - A smartphone. - Cool, fashionable, 'hip' clothes. - Pepper Spray, to fend of stalkers. - A Wallet with a Passport and Documentation, plus spare cash.
Short Bio: Andrew Starling was a musical talent, discovered young and raised in glitz and glamour, although his parents kept enough of a clear head to keep him sweet and kind, and also kept him studying. He can get anything he wanted, he could pay for anything he liked (within reason), but he never really discovered something to spend too much of his spare cash on.
Videogames? Only a few of them were good. Anime? Only some didn't sour on him. Dancing? He was paid to dance as well as sing. Then he hit puberty and discovered 1.) Girls, and 2.) Other Boys. That's when his life took a downturn; as both wanted him for his money, and thought nothing of using their charms, excuses, and a little sob story now and again to trick him into spending his cash on them until his parents and his manager put their foot down.
Only a few of his 'crushes' stayed after that, and Andrew realized that had he been just one bit more naive and overconfident, he could have been tricked into spending his fortune away, ending up like many other washed-out celebrities. But from those who stayed, accepting friendship rather than anything more committed, Andrew learned the value of loyalty, of not letting childish and petty betrayal ruin his view on people forever. He was going to shine, to be the Light that brings beauty and wonder to the darkness.
Or maybe, because he refused to despair, he is Hope instead? Either way, when he got booked a ticket to Hawaii by a 'mysterious friend' of his manager, Andrew decided it would be a change of pace; maybe he'd finally meet 'The One' should he go there, not exactly incognito, but not making a spectacle of himself, either.
What he could not see was that something he was not ready for was coming.
Personality: Andrew knows he cannot be perfect, but has been woken up to seeing that as an opportunity. To him, the quest is eternal, its own reward, and he strives to be better despite his flaws, neither excusing or denying them. As someone who who realizes this truth, he strives to serve as an example to others, the light that shows people they can fail and rise up again. He has learned from loss, however minor, and he will show the world that he can rise up...
Skills: Andrew Starling loves music and dancing, plain and simple. He has been trying to focus on academics after his latest rounds of disappointment, but has not found his footing yet. He knows some trivia, though, as well as the basics of streaming and even Vtubing.
Digimon Character Sheet
Name: Elecmon Age: Unknown. Physical Description:
Type: Data
Short Bio: Elecmon remembers 'The Old Days', when the Demon Lords were but a distant threat, and the Royal Knights kept order. The guardian of the Village of Birth, where all Digimon who die without being irredeemably corrupted are reborn, Elecmon was visited by Dorumon, his old friend and ally, with a plan to overthrow the Demon Lords and restore order to the Digital World and better lives for his 'charges'.
Dorumon reminded Elecmon that the Seven Demon Lords would not respect the Village of Birth's neutrality forever, and something will have to be done to stop them. He also mixed this implication with a suggestion that maybe Yggdrassil will be more 'sane' after his resurrection and more willing to listen to his loyal servants. Whether he believed him or not, Elecmon had no other choice but to join up with him, but under the understanding that Dorumon would 'take responsibility' for the village and baby Digimon's security...
Personality: Wary, cautious, yet nurturing, Elecmon is a protective presence who values the lives of baby Digimon, yet is willing to murder adults because they'd just return to Digi-eggs afterwards. The oldest among the Digimon of the team, he is wary of throwing them into fights, yet sees himself as their natural 'guardian'. What does he want? To get the horrors of war over with so that the Digital World, Digimon, and Humans can live new and improved lives - and if that means speedrunning through those horrors, so be it!
Powers:
Super Thunder Strike (Sparkling Thunder): Shoots electric bolts from its tails. Body Attack (たいあたり Tai Atari?, lit. "Body Blow") Nine Tails: Smacks foe with its electrically-charged tails. Lightning Knife (Thunder Knife): Stealthily releases three knives of electricity.
Name: Klara Langston Age: 17 Physical Description: Klara stands roughly at 5'6, with a thin frame. Her long blond hair is kept short if a bit messy in the front, and usually tied into along ponytail in the back. Often, she takes a her looks a bit too seriously perhaps, often going for a 'mysterious' and 'cool' look, and is often dressed in black hooded jacket, short pants and boots.
Important items: -Old laptop she constantly has with her. Its branding and other features have long since been scrubbed away, but its at least from the mid 2000's. Not that it matters. Its been modified and updated heavily so really, just the thick and heavy case is the same. Its decorated with several old and faded stickers from the era. Often kept in a shoulder bag with a few other bits of computer gear. -High tech smart phone with a number of more illicit programs designed for digital intrusion. Kept protected in a neat little phone case. -Picture of her family, kept between her phone and its case. Short Bio: Growing up in Germany to a father who worked for the government in a high tech and super secret IT department, and a mom who spent her days making art for various people and taking commissions on the internet, Klara had an...interesting, if cushy life growing up. Money was never really an issue, and her parents both loved her as far as she can remember, for the first ten years of her life. She loved her parents, too, and her little brother even if he was kind of a dumbass and a bit of a crybaby. Really, one could say she was quite privileged for the first decade or so of her life.
And then one day, her father never came home from work.
Nobody could give them straight answers as to what happened. As far as everyone knows, he just went to work, did his job, left...but never came home. Her mother was sent into a deep depression and spiraled, especially since it would take a few years for him to be officially declared dead so they could collect life insurance or benefits from the government for her fathers work. All he left behind, was an old and weathered laptop that had definitely seen better days.
Klara herself, having been entirely a daddies girl became both withdrawn...and entirely picked up on her dads hobbies and interests. All things computer related, technology, coding, and...some less than legal attempts at finding vulnerabilities in systems, jailbreaking computers and phones, making custom programs for such things...she threw herself into it, in perhaps some silly idea that if she did maybe she'd find what happened to him.
And then, came the invitation. With home life having been stifling lately with her mothers depression and her little brothers increasingly growing rebellious streak, well...getting away from it all was something that could allow her to breathe a bit easily.
Personality: Klara has always been someone who was the definition of curiosity killed the cat. Going to places, doing things, trying new things and doing things in a unconventional manner just to answer the question 'what if' or 'why'. Even before her fathers disappearance she got into trouble for doing things she probably shouldn't. Nothing harmful or dangerous, merely things that little kids probably shouldn't be attempting to do. After her father went missing, this would shift into a mentality of entirely doing things her own way, regardless of others around her and whether they approved or not.
Needless to say, because of this she can be quite the lonely individual sometimes, but that's alright. She's mostly fine on her own. Shes self aware she's selfish, troublesome, and overall not super easy to get along with, but thats just the way she is and she's fine with that. Might as well have some fun with it, too.
Skills: -Coding and computers. She's spent a lot of her spare and free time practicing and otherwise getting to know very intimately digital hardware and software. -Cooking. As her mothers depression grew more severe after her fathers disappearance she took it upon herself to handle such things. Mostly for herself, mind you, but she always made enough.
Digimon Character Sheet
Name: Tsukaimon Age: 6 Physical Description: Tsukaimon, this one looks like fairly typical one of its species. A little purple and white winged imp with a devious little smile and a fat stubby tail. Type: Virus Short Bio: Tsukaimon's life was fairly simple. Eat, sleep, play pranks on other digimon, steal a few things every now and then. Long story short, it has always been a fairly mischievous little rascal though never once actually ever harmed anyone. It was during one of these little misadventures where it decided to try and prank a certain similarly colored digimon where it was harmlessly batted away.
The digimon made an offer for Tsukaimon to try and better their life, but the Tsukaimon refused, initially...only reluctantly agreeing once it got the idea of having a partner in mischief may not be a bad idea after all.
Personality: Tsukaimon is a mischievous little thing. Constantly getting into trouble or otherwise playing mostly harmless pranks on others. Maybe stealing a bit here and there, if the opportunity presents itself but otherwise it likes merely lazing around, sleeping, messing with other digimon a bit. Demon lords? humans? It truthfully doesn't care any about that. All it does care about, is whether or not what its doing is fun and enjoyable in the moment.
Powers: Evil Spell: A verbal attack that just insults the opponent with bad energy. Purple Fog: Surrounds the opponent with a dark miasma. Fluffy Attack: Tackles the opponent. Friendly Fire: Launches a fireball at foes. Purple Haze: Breathes poisonous smoke at opponents. Dark Twister: Attacks with a small typhoon of dark energy. Future Evolutions:
Name: Dante K. Perrault Age: 16 Important items: -A small silver cross that he carries as a necklace, the words ‘Kyrie Eleison’ are engraved on it. Although it looks a bit worn down, it seems like there was much care put into it. -A pair of gold and silver rings that have the names of ‘Durante’ and ‘Emilia’ inscribed upon them. The golden ‘Durante’ ring has engravings of thorns around it, while the silver ‘Emilia’ ring has those of roses. -A black zippo lighter that has golden outlines and the engravings of a clock and gears on it. May not look like it, but it is in pristine condition from the care given to it.
Short Bio: Born from the union of ‘light’ and ‘darkness’, Dante’s mother was a renowned celebrity who was admired for her mastery of multiple disciplines and arts, combining dancing, singing, and various other instruments to become a one woman spectacle on her own. His father, meanwhile, belonged to the Kyrielight Famiglia, as a direct descendant of the founder and the youngest brother of the current Capo, who also functions as the family head.
The Famiglia itself was founded back in the 19th Century alongside the other mafias, its creator a former clergyman who became disheartened both with himself - for being born ‘sinful’ - as well as with the world, for not offering proper protection for his people. Taking in the ‘Kyrie’ from the Kyrie Eleison, as well as adding the ‘Light’, the Kyrielight name became understood as the ‘Lord’s Light’.
Centuries down the line, the ‘sin’ was passed down the founder’s family, recognized not as a frightening affinity towards violence, but rather, as a horrifying lack of aversion towards it. Originally embraced, recent generations have made an effort to break away from said sin, with Dante’s grandfather being the prime example by offering his children a better education as well as the option to back out of the family business.
It was only until Dante’s father, Durante, who made the choice to raise his child as someone who doesn’t reject said sin, but rather, embraces it and acknowledges it as a part of himself, but with the wisdom to know how, why, when and for whom to use it for, which is those he cares about.
His parent’s story of a love that bloomed between a radiant light unknowingly sponsored by darkness, and the shadow that was sent to protect her is one he has heard multiple times, but that he still loves up to this day. Regardless, one day his parents suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the cross that his mother used to wear, the lighter his father always carried, as well as their wedding rings, a letter directed to him, and a one-way ticket to an exclusive resort in Hawaii, which is where his journey begins…
As for how he met Beatrice? It all began with a fateful meeting during childhood, which eventually culminated into a tragedy years later, and which turned his once hollow heart into a hot, beating one.
Personality: Dante comes off as a rather aloof and indifferent person, but is actually quite warm and airheaded. Born as a ‘sinner’, which somewhat disconnects him from other people, he still makes the effort to connect with others wholeheartedly and can get rather excited over the prospect of having new friends.
Ultimately, however, he is a ‘sinner’. Like his ancestor, the Founder, Dante lacks an aversion to violence itself, and holds a distorted sense of values. This manifests as a fundamentally different sense of fulfillment, the Founder wished his people’s situation to improve, and could only find himself genuinely fulfilled by doing so, even if what he did was cruel. Dante, meanwhile, finds himself unable to truly hate or dislike someone no matter what they do, or if he can, he hasn’t found someone who can bring out that specific emotion out of himself. He can get angry, but only for the sake of others, not truly for himself.
Still, he follows his own ‘justice’, ingrained upon him by those he holds dear to his heart, his parents. “In order to become someone who can get mad in place of those who can’t, and to fight in the place of those who shouldn’t.”
Skills: -Survival. Dante’s father, while not wanting to get him involved in the family business, still gave him some of his knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness, such as how to light fires, create shelters, purify water and such. -Cooking. He always loved watching his parents cook, and eventually asked permission to be taught the art of cooking, as well as some of their recipes. This, combined with his survival knowledge, lets him cook impromptu meals out of whatever he has at hand. -Adaptability. Since he was a child, he has demonstrated a rather unusual aptitude towards adapting to his surroundings, be it physically or mentally. -Hiding. His somewhat astonishing innate lack of presence, as well as the training he received have made Dante an expert at hiding from people, whether it be in a crowded area or an empty place.
Name: Loogamon Age: Zero. Type: Virus
Short Bio: Born from ‘nothing’, Loogamon was a prototype digimon whose purpose was lost. Created by Yggdrasill before being discarded as its objective changed, it was recently brought back by Dorumon and assigned the mission to fulfill the key directive as of now, to take back the Digital World from the clutches of the Demon Lords, and only after doing so would its purpose be revealed.
Personality: Loogamon is a rather childish Digimon, although it would be more correct to call him a baby. As he didn’t go through the proper procedure that most Digimon do, which is to grow up in the Village of the Beginning and get taught by the elders, Loogamon remains rather innocent and curious, holding the peculiar habit of nibbling things that he doesn’t know or understand to a rather impulsive degree.
Powers:
Howling Fire: Shoots flames imbued with magical power from its mouth Spiral Bite: Bites with its sharp fangs as it spins
Name: Beatrice R. Grimm Age: 16 Important items: -A small golden pendant, which contains a locket with the photo of two people inside, one of them is a clearly younger Beatrice, and the other person has been too stained to be recognizable. -A pair of silver and gold rings that have the names of ‘Hilda’ and ‘Noah’ inscribed upon them. The silver ‘Hilda’ ring has engravings of feathers around it, while the golden ‘Noah’ ring has those of waves. -A white compass that has silver outlines and the engravings of a clock and gears on it. May look like it is in pristine condition, but one can tell it from disuse.
Short Bio: Born from the union of 'order' and 'chaos', Beatrice's father was a renowned artist who was known for his mastery of multiple painting styles, creating not only his own pieces but also reimagined versions of other famous artworks as well. Her mother, meanwhile, belonged to the Rosenkreuz Clan, as the eldest daughter of the current family head, who was herself the daughter of a relatively famous policeman.
The Rosenkreuz started when Wilhelm Rosenkreuz, who was a famous police officer in his town, had his youngest daughter Mathilde take up his mantle by aiming towards being an officer, as well as passing the exams with flying colors. After this, she went above and beyond, solving numerous crimes and eventually heading towards the international scene.
She sired numerous children and raised her fame into being recognized as one of the most famous women of her time, as well as being an icon of feminism for her fight against the sexist preconceptions of the world, hoping that her daughters and the numerous young women out there, both now and to come, would be able to have the chance to choose their own future and not deal with the burdens and discrimination of being a female officer during a time where it was a profession mostly for men.
Her children grew up admiring her and applying her philosophy in various fields, with her eldest, Hilde, becoming an officer and the rest becoming attorneys, juries, politicians or even logistics officers in the force.
Her parents met when her mother took the job to investigate a kidnapping and rescue the victim, her father. Both took some interest in each other, and began courting for some years while they each built their careers up, before eventually sealing the deal by getting married and then having their first daughter, Beatrice.
As for how she met Dante? It all began with a fateful meeting during childhood, which eventually culminated into a tragedy years later, and which turned her once pure heart into a cold, frozen darkness.
Personality: Beatrice is a rather calm and cool headed girl, but one that seems to hide something behind her eyes, a darkness lurking within. Born as a ‘saint’, which connects her rather profoundly with other people, given her enhanced sense of empathy. However, a certain incident that happened years ago has made her close off her heart and no longer use her empathy as it should, which is to help people.
Instead, using her strong empathy together with her unusual intuition to slowly analyze people and pick up their own faults and flaws, followed by prodding at said person through those points, making them confront them whether they like it or not. As her nature is that of a ‘saint’, normally this act would be to make people confront their own faults with her help and grow as people, but her current personality makes it an exceedingly cruel trial that she uses to instill despair and negative emotions on her victims.
Her enhanced empathy was something she considered a gift from God to help others and was grateful for, but after that fateful incident, she grew to resent it and slowly shifted her previous gentle personality into a cruel one that is harsh towards everyone else as a defense mechanism.
Skills: -Survival. Beatrice’s mother, knowing full well how it went for people in her line of work and those associated with her, decided to teach her daughter basic survival skills, such as how to light fires, create shelters, purify water and such. -Cooking. Her father was a stay-at-home husband, and her own desire to surprise her mom and help her in some way made her pick up cooking as a hobby, although her favorite part eventually turned into making desserts and pastries. Previous survival knowledge makes her an excellent survivalist. -Acting. Since she was a child, she has lived her life moving from place to place, meeting new people and saying goodbye to them, eventually, she learned to her own advantage, making her an excellent actress who adapts to the situation at hand. -Searching. Perhaps because of her upbringing, but ever since she was a child, her unusual intuition combined with her training gave her the ability to find things or people with an annoying ease.
Name: Black Guilmon Age: Zero. Type: Virus
Short Bio: A being that was born as a demonstration of how far the Digimon World has fallen. Normally unthinkable, but even the sacred line that would eventually give birth to a royal knight has fallen to its most primal instincts and turned into a ferocious beast. Lucemon thought that this particular Digimon was a fitting match for that girl and thus made them partners, perhaps reflecting a broken past?
Personality: Black Guilmon is a rather young Digimon, although it would be more correct to call him a baby. His own nature has made him more akin to a wild beast than anything else, and he’s more prone to attack and growl at things rather than have an intelligent dialogue.
Powers:
Fire Grenade: Spits out a bouncing black flame bullet which detonates when it hits a target. Virus Breath: Spews out black smoke full of computer viruses. Rock Crusher: Leaps into the air and slams its claws down.
Future Evolutions: Black Guilmon-> Black Growlmon -> Black Megalo Growmon -> Chaos Dukemon -> ???
A pair of dog tags, scratched beyond recognition with only a single letter, “A”, visible.
A pair of white headphones, perfectly normal.
Navy-blue sleep mask.
Military-grade radio he “acquired” some time ago, modified to the point of being nearly unrecognisable.
Multi-tool, heavily modified to improve upon its general purpose.
Wallet with multiple questionable I.D.s and cards.
Short Bio: Chaotic. Infuriating. Manic. Terrorist.
As much of a menace as Kai was growing up, one could be forgiven for believing he had zero parental influence over his life, even if that wasn’t quite the case. Born on an island base in the middle of who knows where, to a mother whose face he could no longer remember, his life was bound to be a mess from the beginning. From the very start, everyone knew him as a problematic child, constantly making off with and taking apart anything he could get his hands on. Some might say it was a privilege that he was allowed to be there despite his disastrous attitude, but he didn’t see it that way.
When he was six years old, he watched his mother leave for the umpteenth time, but unlike before, she never came back. All she had left behind were her dog tags, scratched beyond recognition. He was young then, young enough that it didn’t hit him as hard as it should have, young enough that he didn’t start questioning it. Instead, he waited. And waited. Two years went by without so much as a whisper of her whereabouts, and despite his young age, Kai knew well that he wouldn’t get an answer from anyone even if he tried. That is, if he simply asked outright.
So, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Quite literally.
Breaking things came easily to him, and one would think the opposite would hold as well. They would be dead wrong. In Kai’s eyes, everything had a purpose beyond the obvious. He had the skills, but they were raw, unpolished, entirely instinctive. Refining them took time and materials that he didn’t have, so he learnt other things as well. He made himself useful, so much so that no one questioned him anymore. So much so that nobody saw him.
Then, when the moment showed itself, he took it and, for the first time in his life, he set foot on the mainland. They would start looking for him eventually, but he intended to accomplish his goal long before then.
When the invitation came, it was nothing but an idle curiosity that drove him to attend. Little did he know, it would change his life forever.
Personality: Outwardly cheery, alarmingly capable, perpetually frenzied, yet chronically lethargic, Kai is anarchy personified, with a slight sprinkling of terrorism. A wild and carefree soul who considers rules as little more than inconvenient suggestions to be ignored, he goes where he wants and does as he wishes without a care in the world. What that entails for those unfortunate enough to cross paths with him is a migraine that never quite goes away, distance notwithstanding. A loner by circumstances, if not exactly by nature, he is utterly incapable of making things easier for others and thus generally prefers not to bother.
Beyond all that, he is undeterred in the face of adversity, pushing toward his objectives with an ever-present devil may care attitude. Loyal almost to a fault, but ever the fickle one, he shows his care through action alone, however troublesome they may seem. Kai is trouble no matter where he goes, but (mostly) restrained chaos is better than uncontrolled mayhem.
Skills:
Larceny. A thief by any other name, Kai learnt early on how to take from others without being caught. He's only gotten better at it over time.
Engineering/Overhauling. The first thing he ever did as a fully conscious child was break something. Then he fixed it, sort of. Anything and everything can be taken apart, and he knows better than most how to do so and how to put them back together better than before.
Multilingual. Kai is fluent in several languages, and he has his own way of interpreting the ones he can't speak.
Sharpshooting. Kai is an excellent shot, whether with guns or other projectile implements (i.e. anything he can throw).
Digimon Character Sheet
Name: Agumon
Age: ???
Attribute: Vaccine, Virus
Short Bio: Agumon doesn’t remember much about what happened before he ended up here. One of his earliest memories was of meeting a purple-furred digimon who made him an offer he couldn’t refuse to save their world from destruction. He was mostly clueless about things, but partnering with a human was bound to be an interesting experience.
Personality: A rather stark contrast to his partner, Agumon is a milder, yet no less vivacious presence. An amnesiac Digimon with a purpose that he can’t yet begin to understand, he takes whatever situation he finds himself in with stride, never allowing melancholy to cloud his mind. While he cannot help but desire answers to his being, he nonetheless chooses to live in the moment, making new memories instead of dwelling on what might have been.
Powers: Pepper Breath: Spits flames at its foes. Sharp Claws: Attacks with claws. Spitfire: Shoots a small blast of fire from its mouth. Claw Uppercut: Uppercuts the enemy with its claws. Claw Attack: Rapidly jabs or slashes the opponent with the claws of both hands. Fire Breath: Spews a very hot breath of flames at the enemy. Baby Burner: Accumulates "Pepper Breath" in its mouth and then spits it out all at once as a much more powerful blast. Wildfire Uppercut: A flaming uppercut with its claws.
Important items: A much loved, old hat. An Album of faded photographs. A camera covered in old stickers. A bag of forgotten tools.
Short Bio: That which has broken cannot be so easily repaired. No matter how much you try, a vase once shattered cannot be restored no matter how much gold you fill the cracks with. A shining star who lit up the lives of those around her, until that evening star set for the first and final time.
A girl who once stood to bear a bright future, a child who lived for the sake of the love she felt, an open heart who's only desire was to save those around her, most especially her beloved younger sister. Was it any wonder that a child like that would decide to become a doctor? To spend her life saving those around her and bring but a little more light to the darkest times of people's lives.
But everything fell apart. Her beloved sister, the centre of her world suddenly fell sick, the girl who inspired her to save others, became the one life she could never save. No matter how many books she read, no matter how many exams she aced, she could not cure the incurable, and her world broke like a vase pushed from a shelf.
Her loving heart shattered, her family incapable of picking up the pieces left behind, and her dreams became nothing other than a waking nightmare. What use is there in saving others... When you cannot save those who truly matter? All she had left was an old hat her sister once loved, and a collection of pictures, her heart inscribed for her to gaze upon, yet unable to truly repair.
Isolated and trapped within her own broken self, living only for the shining light of a screen and the flickering of those pictures held gently in her fingers, her bright future became an overcast shadow, until a ray of light came through. A message which promised her a new purpose, and perhaps an opportunity to save herself, if not anyone else.
Personality: A loving heart clouded by melancholy. An outstretched hand cracked and mended. A sad smile as she aims to support those around her, yet even then momentary rays of her original self shine through. She might never be the shining star she once was, but her light can chart a path for others to find their own dreams.
Skills: A deep knowledge of medicine and pharmaceuticals, a girl who once dreamt of being a great doctor, yet whose fingers slipped before she could truly grasp that star. Photography, to retain a dream and etch it for all to see. An empathetic heart to reach out to others, even as she conceals her own self. A NEET's encyclopaedia, a wide range of random facts and knowledge from time spent isolating herself.

Even in this state, that love and passion occasionally shine through, lightning breaking the everdeepening clouds, yet for most of the time, she is but a hollow puppet. Jen had a brilliant mind from the go, always a keen eye for minute details, Although there was another side to her as well. In school, she was sometimes sitting alone by herself, sometimes talking with her fellow classmates, but they always described her as being ‘Normal but not enough.’ Said that she would switch from being all smiles to no emotions in the blink of an eye.
Jen was almost arrested in an accident that nearly blew up one of the labs she was working in school. A lot of people believed she was responsible, but through clever wordplay and just enough convincing, she managed to shift the blame to her lab partner instead. From this point on, she would be involved in various ‘events’ that she miraculously got out of.
This erratic behaviour would follow her into college as she would continue to be witness to various criminal events, like her professor being kicked out because of ‘Inappropriate relations with a student’ (she was suspected but never confirmed to be one of them). But even with all the events she was (suspected) to be part of, Jen’s popularity never plummeted. She got her degree in Physics but she needed a ‘break’ so she took a year off for a break, eventually stumbling into a certain invitation to a resort that she thought would be great for some time off.

Although Digimon don’t have a family in a natural sense, Renamon sees the other Viximon/Renamon that she grew up with as family and the Sakuyamon and Kuzuhamon as their mothers and protectors epically the Kuzuhamon that taught her everything she knew, though she did learn that it was a Sakuyamon that had once been a partner of a human that had learned about family and why she set that precedence in the village which had carried for years. Short Bio: Born in a digimon village not far from a shrine town, once she became a Viximon, she was adopted alongside other Viximons to come to the shrine town to be trained by the Sakuyamon and Kuzuhanmon for their future roles as shrine maidens and shrine defenders. Name: Daniel "Danny" Pender. Age: 17. Physical Description:
Height 5'6. Important items:
The doll is 13 inches tall from top of crown to bottom of shoes, and she used to belong to his mom when she was a kid, so is definitely not in perfect condition. The doll's name is Abby. Other items include his smartphone, a hand sewing kit, and many training weapons (couple examples, a bokken (wooden sword typically shaped like a katana, but could also be in the form of a shorter Japanese sword), and purposely dull versions of bladed weapons) that he uses to practice weapon based martial arts, though usually doesn't go out in public with them unless he is going to a dojo. Short Bio: Danny has been training in weapon based martial arts since he was little, following his mom's own martial arts career. He is at the national level, but doesn't have many people who know of him. Danny's mom got in a car wreck when he was very little, and has been in a coma since then. He tries to do things to feel closer to her, since she wasn't able to be there for him, which is actually what led him to his martial arts career.
When Danny found out about his mom being in a coma, he claimed his mom's doll that was very precious to her and started taking good care of Abby, just so he could feel like he was helping since there really wasn't anything he could do to help at such a young age. His dad was wary at first, but eventually stopped worrying when it became apparent that Danny was actually taking care of Abby.
Nowadays, Danny doesn't have many friends, as he spends most of his free time either training or volunteering. He only came to Hawaii due to his dad's insistence that he take a break and relax for once. He still brought all of his gear though, and of course brought Abby with him. Personality: Danny is very protective of Abby, not letting anyone else touch her. He likes to help people whenever possible, often going out of his way to do so. Despite the cheerful personality he shows, he suffers from depression, often feeling like he doesn't do enough. Skills: He is a weapons martial arts expert. Knows how to sew. Knows how to repair fabric dolls.
Digimon Character Sheet
Name: Tinkermon. Nickname: Tatl Tael (pronounced Tattletale). Danny will shorten it to just Tatl. Age: 27. Physical Description:
Has a scar on her stomach that persists in every form. Height 1'6. Type: Data. Short Bio: Tinkermon was once a duo with Petermon. Day in, day out, kidnapping young Digimon to take to Never-Ever Land. Tinkermon earned the nickname Tatl Tael for usually being the first to tattletale to Petermon when a Digimon broke the rules of Never-Ever Land. Tinkermon was happy with this life. Sure she and Petermon often fought, but they were in love.
One day however, she caught Petermon flirting with a Digimon called "Humon" who apparently was of a "Wendy" variety. Tinkermon had had enough. Heartbroken, Tinkermon broke up with Petermon on the spot.
Petermon, however, did not like this, and swiftly cut Tinkermon in the stomach, nicking her Digicore, thus leaving a persisting scar on her data. She managed to get away, and went through a painful recovery period. She shifted from a Virus type to a Data type in the process, and decided to help others from then on.
Some time later, looking for anyone in need of help, she came across a purple Digimon. He took one look at her, and looked ready for a fight.
Tinkermon would normally not be one to back down, but a nagging gut feeling told her she shouldn't fight, so she held her arms out in surrender.
Tinkermon started by apologizing. She said she wasn't sure if she wronged him before, or if her reputation preceded her, but swore she had changed. She wanted to help Digimon now.
The Digimon looked Tinkermon over, and something seemed to click for him. He asked her if she wanted to help save the entire digital world from the Seven Demon Lords, by forging a bond with a "Humon".
She wasn't sure about this, after her last encounter with one, but supposedly they weren't actually Digimon, and each one was unique in who they were, so she decided to agree to help. Personality: Tinkermon is very possessive of those she cares about. She has moments where she'll be harsh or brash, but is genuinely trying to be a better Digimon. You don't perfectly change overnight, no matter how much you may want to, okay? She tries to help others, but is afraid to open up to others because of her past. She worries she'll be rejected for what she used to do, and is still mentally recovering from the trauma of her bad breakup.
An unusual quirk of her wings' light is that the radiance of the light changes with her mood. If she is experiencing positive emotions, it will brighten, and if she is experiencing negative emotions, it will dim. This isn't enough to meaningfully change the light level, unless she is in otherwise complete darkness, but even then it is a minor change. Powers: Her Special Moves are:
Dragging the opponent into a nightmare with the fast-acting "Speed Nightmare" hallucinogen from her poisoned spear. This hallucinogen isn't effective enough that it constitutes a knockout by itself, doesn't last long enough that the free attacks Tinkermon would get off of a successful Speed Nightmare would invariably result in her victory against other rookie-level Digimon, and isn't reliable against Digimon of a higher level than Tinkermon.
"Nightmare Pandemic" uses the poisonous nails from her gloved hands to paralyze the foe. The more fingers used, the worse the effect. She is able to control the paralyzing effect from just a section to the whole body by increasing the number of nails she stings with. The poison's paralyzing effect is able to render the body (or body part if less is used) numb and clumsy, but not able to completely immobilize, and is unreliable against Digimon of a higher level than Tinkermon.
Also, the "Fairy Powder" scattered from her wings has the ability to temporarily change those it covers into babies, though it doesn't always succeed even against Digimon of the same level, its success rate declines against stronger Digimon or Digimon that have been affected by it recently, and only lasts a few seconds. Future Evolutions: Just going to list the whole line here for convenience: Fresh: Yuramon, In-Training: Budmon, Rookie: Tinkermon, Champion: Hudiemon, Perfect: Lilimon, Mega: Bancho Lilimon, If Abby Doll is given to Bancho Lilimon, she can reach the following form with it. (Yes I stole this idea from Digimon Tamers Impmon to Beelzebumon: Blast Mode): Rosemon: Burst Mode, As a Fusion or maybe something like Omegamon giving his body to Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode to make Paladin Mode: Rafflesimon
Important items: A penknife, too small and too blunt to be used as a weapon by anyone except the truly desperate. Works just fine on letters, however.
Short Bio: Mikaela wasn't dealt the best of hands growing up. Parents who spent much of her childhood working overseas, returning home for brief periods trying to buy her love with gifts, only to leave her again. Mikaela was raised by various relatives, all whom never really connected to the gloomy girl. This coupled with the bullying she faced at school led her to a perpetual life online. Online, she wasn't shunned for what her bullies called a privileged childhood, where she could express herself freely without being told to "speak up". So when an offer to enter the Digital World is presented to her, it comes off as a dream come true, an escapist's paradise. Time will tell has she made the right choice.
Personality: A sheltered child now a distant teen, Mikaela puts on a face of indifference to hide whatever she feels or thinks. This has others think of her as air-headed, aloof or just plain shy. Her mask is her armor designed to disarm the barbs of her bullies' insults. After all, if she gives off no reaction to whatever insults they throw at her, they'll grow bored of her. This tactic has served her well in life in school and without it.
But Mikaela is more than just the shell she expresses outwards. In the safe confines of her room and the online world linked to it, she can be witty (through text!), passionate about her various creative hobbies, competitive, and sometimes she might even crack a joke.
An armor of forced calm wrapped around precarious, fragile happiness borne in isolation.
Skills: Nothing of note.
Name: Ghostmon
Age: Unknown
Physical Description:
Type: Data
Personality: Ghostmon is a mischievous but energetic little soul, a trickster finding amusement by pulling pranks on the unsuspecting Digimon around her. She finds enjoyment laughing at those fallen for her pranks, though she got in trouble for them more times than she cares to count, the attention garnered was always worth it. As a trickster of sorts, she tends to come off as mean or insulting towards others, finding amusement in their misery as a result of her pranks.
Deep down, however, she is simply a lonely soul. With no past to look back on, and no one to normally notice her or be with her, she had only felt the pains of isolation for so long. The only thing alleviating this pain was her own self-amusement at the expense of others. What she wants above all else is someone to finally notice her and befriend her, to finally be free of her loneliness and feel true sincere happiness.
Short Bio: She had no memory of what she was like when she died. No memory of what her form was like, if she was a rookie, a champion, or maybe even an ultimate, or why she remains as a ghost. Normally, when a Digimon dies, their data reformats into a digi-egg, a sort of reincarnation for those who are decent Digimon to begin with, or they are cast into the Dark area for their sins. Yet she had neither fate befall her and instead became a wandering ghost-type. With nothing left to do and no real links to whatever past she may have had, she spent her time haunting the forests and pulling pranks on other Digimon, a coping mechanism to fight back how lonely she felt deep down. One day, however, she was found by an angel holding a strange necklace, the light reflecting off its surface phasing right through her ghostly self. The angel, Lucemon, claimed that she was looking for her, and offered a giving her a friend in exchange for her service. Curious as to why Lucemon would be looking for her in particular - a link to her past perhaps - and tempted by a desire to have a friend at last, she accepted his offer, leading her to a human woman who Lucemon deemed her partner and friend, Mikaela Angelo.
Powers:
Little Plasma: Fires weak energy shots from its palms.
Jack Raid: Turns transparent moments before charging and crashing into the enemy, striking them from behind while they are confused. (The cooldown for this attack is immediate.)
Important items Family Pendent He has a gold-coated circular pendent necklace with a small falcon etched on it. It can open up to reveal a small picture of his fives siblings and his father cobbled together in a messy, seemingly ruined attempt to do a family portrait.
Travel Bag Hardly ever a day where you see him without hiking bag over his shoulder, within which contains typical necessities, first-aid equipment, and snacks.
Personality Simply put: Vergil is a jerk. He's rough-edged, blunt as a rock, and makes it perfectly clear that he's not looking to interact with others. From the beginning, Vergil has been a boy craving to be strong, to be seen by his elder brothers as their equal, rather than living in their shadow. His life beyond his family in the urban jungle of New York made him jaded and cynical, the only thing keeping him off the deep-end sooner being a kind mother who passed on long before he was ready to accept it, and lashed out towards those who messed with him violently as a result.
Vergil had no real talent, envious of the family around him that were gifted in their own unique ways. Tried as he might to have his older brothers teach him to be strong, they never truly had the chance, so he had to learn to fend for himself. As such, feelings like honor and chivalry in a fight were meaningless words to him, merely the self-restraint of cowards. Pragmatic to a fault in any situation, he's not afraid to play or fight dirty to get what he wants. When his youngest brother was shown to be as seemingly talentless as himself, he couldn't help but project himself hard onto him, verbally beating him down to try and drive him to be stronger as he himself is.
if there was one thing he cared about and had any loyalty for, it was his family. It was driven into his head that his family is something he had to be there for, and for whom would be there for him. Defensive of them to a fault, and willing to go through beatdown after beatdown, outright risking his own life if it means making them happy. He has no self-worth, and so he sees no future for himself compared to them, and so he feels a sense of purpose to help two of his younger siblings to make a decent future for themselves with their talents. He was contempt with the idea of living off the street for them, not caring about the expectations of anyone else.
Even with the youngest, he at least genuinely believes he's trying to drive him to be able to face what he could not at his age. His envy for the attention his little brother had drove him to thoughts of wanting him gone, and when he was, he tried to push forward and move on while hiding the guilt of being responsible for it, responsible for his family's misery, but after finding a potential lead, he made his decision to follow it, regardless of what kind of trouble it would put him in, to find the little brat and if he is alive, drag him back home. Therein lies his more favorable traits: No real interest in other people or even his own standing in society, but once he is focused on something, fueled by familial responsibility, he will not rest until he gets what he wants. No matter who or what stands in his way, no matter how out of his league he may be, for them, he would walk into hell without question or hesitation.
Short Bio Born the third in a dysfunctional family of 6 children and a single father, living in the big city of New York, Vergil had a rough life from the get go. He still remembers parts of his childhood, admiring the eldest brother who he felt as if he could do no wrong and the next eldest who had strength he could only dream of, the kindness of his mother, a school teacher before her untimely death, and the expectations of an even stronger father for each child to find their talents and find peace through them.
However, the boy Vergil found he had no real talent to speak of. He was far from smart in spite of his attempts to learn, he was far from strong in spite of his attempts to fight. He admired his eldest brother Jordan, who cheered him on to be the best at what he could be... But he never could. Nothing he did was good enough in comparison to everyone else, always living in the shadow of his different flavors of betters. Even outside - especially outside - he found no rest, bullied and beaten by those who saw him as easy prey.
To make matters worse, the mother that was there to help comfort him was no longer with him, due to complications of the birth of the 6th and final child. Her loss impacted the family a great deal. The father tried his best for them, with his two elder brothers now too focused on helping out, but still they struggled to keep whatever they had left. Meanwhile, Vergil was struggling through high school and two of his little siblings are too young to do much to help in spite of their own talents. He started getting into fights with his bullies, and any other thugs who happen to be in sight, using them as nothing more than training dummies, then robbing them blind as his own little way of helping out the rest of the family. Desperate times call desperate measures after all.
As the youngest brother slowly grew up and went to school, he realized that, just like him, the boy had little to no real talent. He had a "unique" perception on things, but it didn't seem to help him much with school, leading to bullying on his part as well. Vergil saw himself in the boy - his weak and helpless past was reflected in this little boy's eyes - and his lackadaisical attitude of accepting his lot in life felt like a spit in the face for everything he worked hard to overcome. Perhaps it's because of that that Vergil was especially cruel and aggressive to the boy, bullying him and reminding him of his insignificance compared to the rest of his family. Yet, one day Jordan decided to take it upon himself to train the boy up, something he never bothered with for Vergil himself for reasons unknown to him.
Seething over the jealousy of the one brother he looked up to passing him over for a lazy talentless runt like the boy, he could do nothing but wish that the boy would just disappear from his life.
One day, as if fate listened to him, he got exactly what he wanted. Without a trace of how it happened, the runt disappeared from their life. He was in his room one day and the next he just...wasn't. A Missing Person report was filed and the police were involved, but in the end, nothing could be found to hint to where he went off to or how he vanished. It seemed like he was just doomed to share the fate of other such cases, never to be seen alive again.
There were many emotions Vergil was experiencing at the time: Shock, Sorrow, Regret, Guilt, but most appallingly, relief. Knowing that this was what he wanted was something that even struck himself as unnerving, and as if to force down those thoughts, he came to the conclusion that the kid was dead and wanted to move on with his life. That was what he wanted, but staring at the depressed faces of his family, the sadness so clear in all of them, he couldn't bring himself to just leave it be no matter how much he wanted to...
Especially when, very soon after the disappearance, two letters were found for himself and the little brother they lost, inviting them to Hawaii for whatever reason. It didn't take long for him to connect the dots and assume that this was connected somehow to the disappearance. There was little chance that the brat was still alive, telling himself he has no interest in looking into it. But he was the one who wished for this happen, and he was effectively the one who may have brought this misery down on the people he cares about; it was his responsibility to try and set things right. With that in mind, he took the invitations and traveled across the country to Hawaii.
If the boy was dead, at least there'd be closure - and perhaps even revenge - but if he's still alive, he will find him, and he will drag him back home kicking and screaming. Either way, he will get his answers!
Skills High Endurance/Willpower Vergil has been training his body through exercise and suffering. He has lost as many battles as he won - more than some may argue - and his response every time was to heal up, train harder, and try again until he wins. Every loss he had was another reason to train, and this especially went for his two older brothers who he has never manage to win against. As a result, he has become rather durable in addition to being physically strong. He can take some decent blows and get back up for more. Of course, he's only human and does have his limits, especially in regards to Digimon, but even so, he'll try his damnedest to get back up.
Experienced Street Fighter Unlike the other Falcons, Vergil is undisciplined and self-taught on how to fight, getting into fights often during his time at school and outright picking fights with his older brothers. His way of fighting is simple and likely predictable, but effective for someone with his kind of build, and his experience has led him to improvise well enough in a fight to hold his own in spite of this.
Name Pulsemon
Age 3
Physical Description
Type Beastkin/Vaccine
Personality Pulsemon is about as energetic as his appearance suggests, a lively sort who prefers spending his time training himself up in mind, body, and spirit. The mon has a dream, and he's damn sure he can reach it. That's not to say he isn't an introvert in his exercises nor self-focused solely on it. He often helps out other Digimon around him with whatever they need to the best of his abilities, particularly beating back any bullies messing with the weaker ones, encouraging other Digimon to get strong themselves.
Because of how his life has been before the tale of Jesmon rung in his ears the first time, there's nothing that annoys him more than the disinterested and bullies, often fighting against the latter and trying to perk Digimon up to avoid the former. What he desires above all else is the power to be strong, to do whatever it takes to reach the top by his own hand and his own will, and then use that power to help out those who cannot help themselves, to encourage them to his level. To him, power should be treated with respect by those who've earned it by having fun with those who are their equal, and helping out those beneath them.
That said, He's a bit of an arrogant sort for a rookie, often cocky because of how much he trained and experienced, chalking up any curb-stomping by higher levels as "warming up". In the regards of digivolution, he acts like a lone wolf. The thought of digivolving simply by having a human with a digivice on hand at all times - not to mention it being a temporary digivolution at that - is a disappointment for him, comparing it to athletic doping. One could argue that he's in denial about the fact that digivolving any other way is not entirely possible, but he would tell you where to stick that remark.
Short Bio The earliest thing of interest that Pulsemon could remember was a story told when he was about a year old. Until then, he was simply another Digimon lackadaisically living his life, bullied by some and disregarded by others before meeting a story-telling Jijimon one day.
The idea of digivolution and becoming stronger as a result was a far-off dream for most Digimon, but Jijimon told the story of how the Royal Knight known as Gankoomon trained a young Digimon named Hackmon to do just that. The legend goes that the Wandering Royal Knight Gankoomon found a rookie-level Digimon known as Hackmon, and decided to take him as his apprentice and successor to the title of Royal Knight, something that felt inconceivable for the world back then. The training was harsh, brutal, and some may say even cruel, but with an unfailing drive, Hackmon succeeded and became the Royal Knight "Jesmon".
For Jijimon, this was simply a fun story for the young Digimon with a good moral to it. For Pulsemon, it was just the drive he needed to give his life meaning, the motivation and goal he can work his life towards. He wanted to be strong, he wanted power, and most of all, he wanted to Digivolve!
Ever since, he trained and trained himself, fighting back against rookie level bullies that treated him as a weakling, encouraging others to train up whenever he can, and never losing that passion, even in the face of failure after failure.
One day, however, he was encountered by a purple Dragon, Dorumon, who claimed to know of the legend of Jesmon...No, rather, he claimed to know Jesmon himself, as well as Gankoomon, confirming the legends to be true. He then gave the little guy to join him to help save the world from its tyrants, and in exchange, Pulsemon will be taught how to digivolve as he wanted.
For Pulsemon, the decision was a no-brainer.

Important items: - Smartphone (Galaxy S24 with an open-source OS she found online. Always in a ziploc inside another ziploc unless in her own bedroom at her home. Has a wireless charging pack on it inside the baggies.) - Wireless Charger Dock (While able to fast charge her phone via the charging pack attached to it, the two or so layers of plastic around the phone make the charging take over five times as long as it would otherwise.) - Hand-crank Charger (And three cables to attach it to the wireless charging dock or other USB-C devices.) - Favorite Hoodie (Yellow and faded. She is never seen outside with the hood down. Threadbare in some places. Smells of chemicals.) - Two Courier Bags (Each has a single strap, and there are various faded and sometime outright ruined anime and manga character patches, pins, and key-chains attached to it. They also each have a water bottle in a dedicated pocket for them on the outside of the bag. The bags both smell of chemicals.) -- The first bag is filled with multiple large ziplocs full of medical gloves, as well as three bottles of rubbing alcohol, (also in large ziplocs) multiple boxes worth of ziplocs of various sizes inside a 2.5 gallon ziploc, and various bottles of disinfectant wipes that have themselves been wiped down and soaked in alcohol at her home. Kept in a small plastic box which is itself inside two layers of ziplocs.)
Short Bio: Kari began life as a normal child, if a bit more curious than most. Since her parents were allergic to nearly every animal that could be kept in a home, they quickly introduced her virtual pet toys. She loved them from as far back as her first memory, and does to this day.
Miss Black grew up beside two friends she made in Kindergarten. To the other students she wasn't quite a bully, but the distinction was most like that between an MMO's Player-Killer and a PKK. While she only remembers one instance, her parents assure her that by Second Grade she had been sent home three times for choking a peer.
It was around Third Grade when things began to change for her. She quickly developed an aversion to physical contact with other people, animals, and certain materials. This was accompanied by a desperate need to wash her hands, more often and thoroughly than was healthy. While it started with just her hands needing to be "clean," as the years went on it quickly spread to the rest of her. By Fifth Grade her hands, wrists, and lower forearms were raw and red constantly as a result of relentless washing. This was also the year that her two friends and herself severed their friendship. Kari believes herself to have little blame for this, but the truth is the opposite; it was almost entirely because of Kari's own actions.
She spent the rest of her time before High-school without a single friend among her peers, and while her childhood reputation protected her from being outright bullied it did not stop the other children from avoiding her as much as they could. Since there was no reason to spend time with others her age, she spiraled deeper into her own world, inhabited only by herself and her virtual pets. This love of them directly led to her learning basic programing, solely to create more with her own hands.
In Middle-school she was finally taken by her parents to a psychiatrist who diagnosed her with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. At Kari's insistence, she was not given medication. Trying to find a way to get over her anxiety without chemically changing who she was, she began teaching herself mixed martial arts from various online sources. This had no positive effect on her disorder but did result in a hyper-fixation for two years, during which she became skilled enough to likely defeat most laymen or poorly trained opponents, should she need to defend herself.
When she finally reached Freshman Year of High-school, her OCD's effects and her general hatred of the schooling system made her unable to pass the classes needed to become a Sophomore. The only two classes she did pass were Biology (Her grade was a B+, solely due to passing tests) and an elective where she learned just enough electrical engineering to be able to put together a rudimentary vpet of her own. (Her grade was a D, barely passing the class despite understanding the material) The next year went similarly until a certain incident. Kari began staying home, not going to school at all. It was also at this time that she accepted her psychiatrist's recommendation to begin taking medication to help with her disorder.
Now put in a "at your own pace" class at a supplementary school, all she had to do was prove understanding of the material. A handful of book reports and countless quizzes for the Literary classes, and just as many tests and essays for the other pillar classes such as Math and Science. No extra credits, homework, or labs were required, which made her able to excel almost immediately. She graduated from her new school on the final day of the school year that she would have normally graduated anyway, had she stayed at the "normal" one and not been held back to begin with.
As a reward for completing what they believed to be an amazing achievement, her parents bought three tickets to Hawaii and booked their daughter her own room in a separate but nearby hotel. When they made her aware of this, Kari strongly protested, having finished her schooling for the sake of hopefully never having to leave her home again. Her parents reasoned that since they had already spent the money, they had to go. But they couldn't leave their seventeen year old daughter alone at home while they went across an ocean to another state. In fact, the only reason they wanted to go themselves was to be in the same relative area if she needed them, or else they would have only booked Kari's flight and hotel in the first place.
Eventually they managed to almost literally drag her onto the plane, and nine hours later they arrived on the island. After helping Kari get settled at her hotel room, her parents left to their own hotel, telling her that since she's almost an adult now and had done so well at her coursework, she should take the opportunity to be left mostly alone and "spread your wings a bit on your own."
After the initial waves of anxiety from the flight and relocation died down and she began to adapt somewhat to her new environment, Kari has mostly returned to her normal state, just with a higher base level of anxiety than usual. Besides, she figures that if worse comes to worst, she can always participate in the age old tradition of hurling herself into a volcano.
Personality: To an outside observer, Kari Black is nothing more than a "weirdo," or at the very least quite strange.
When one first sees her, they would be hard-pressed not to notice the fact that no matter what the temperature may be, she wears a hoodie with its hood up, even in the scorching haze of summer. The more observant may notice that the hoodie in question is faded in multiple spots and smells strongly of bleach and laundry detergent. Those with even more of a keen eye might see a hint of black or sometimes blue just barely jutting out from her hoodie's pockets, the place her hands are almost always resting. Of course, if you put her in a situation where she must remove her hands from her pockets, things become clear; Kari wears medical gloves 23.8 hours out of every day, only taking them off to put a fresh pair on or wash her hands, which while being better than a few years prior, are perpetually dry in places with small pieces of skin ready to fall off in other spot from their years of extreme mistreatment.
Since she never takes off her hoodie unless in the comfort of her own home, (or to either shower or put on a new one) observers would be forgiven for not realizing that what lies beneath them is rather damaged in its own way as well, bearing marks that tell a sad story of self-hatred and hunger. While her physical strength, stamina, and flexibility are each quite high, one would never know it from how she acts, nor from her almost visible rib-cage if they had the opportunity to see under the hoodie.
In fact, one would never know almost anything about her if they based their knowledge on her actions, other than that she is an extreme germaphobe and almost perpetually anxiety-ridden. The clinical diagnosis is severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Luckily, having a diagnosis means she is able to get medication to help, and although it's enough to allow her to actually leave her bedroom and home, there doesn't seem to be a drug cocktail that can quite hold it off enough for her to be willing to try various therapy techniques. And so she stumbles her way through life as best she can, having given up on her dreams and nearly thrown away her ideals after the life she has lived stomped them into the dirt where she could never reach or touch them again.
The end result of Kari's life is a girl who cannot stand to be in physical contact with another animal if she can avoid it, who feels that she must endure the heat and cold of the seasons in a singular type of outfit and ruin her own body lest she be contaminated, and who jumps and runs away every time someone near her so much as clears their throat. Despite this, however, Kari will still pick verbal fights with anyone and everyone who angers her, which is to say most people.
Whether in spite of or because of her tendency to insult those she dislikes, those who she is able to interact with online, where her disorder is negligible to the point of near nonexistence, believe her to be a least somewhat wise. The truth is that this perceived wisdom comes from two main sources: manga and the lyrics of songs she likes. With a wide array of interests within these two sources it occasionally might seem like she has an answer to any situation. This illusion also benefits from a former extreme interest in philosophy, which has mostly died down since Middle-school.
Ultimately, Kari is a person who gets angry quickly, depressed easily, and bears a strong resentment towards the world around her. However, she has little ill will towards the average person since they can only add their own small efforts to the world they live in, unless they anger her personally. As a whole though, this deep-seated anger is directed solely at the sum of its parts. After all, if you add up countless little irritations, what else would the result be but hatred?
Skills: - Unarmed Combat. (Self-taught) - Some Programming. (Two languages) - Some Electric Engineering (High-school class equivalent) - General Athletics (In great condition with great stamina, strength, and flexibility)
Digimon Character Sheet
Name: Hyokomon
Nickname: Sora
Age: Half a Year (6.25 months)
Physical Description:
Type: Vaccine
Short Bio: From the first day she spent as a Child stage digimon, the digimon that would one day be named Sora has felt the insurmountable need to complete a musha shugyō, her personal quest as a samurai, deeply in her very code. She spent the past five months since then training herself to the limit of her endurance for most of each day, spending the remainder resting and enjoying life as much as she could. Whether healthy, sick, or injured, whether through sun, rain, or wind, Sora trained herself in the usage of her sword.
As a vagrant she traveled as far as she could, though this was not as far as she'd like, seeking to spar against the strongest digimon to learn from them. Unfortunately, she has not met any digimon beyond the Adult stage other than one, which refused to spar with her even when she attacked it with her full force. She did not manage to do any damage whatsoever and became depressed for a time. The only good thing to come of the interaction, as far as Hyokomon was concerned, was that the Perfect stage digimon bestowed a new goal on the Child staged bird: "Go beyond the highest mountains of skill, to reach the very sky above your limits. Outshine the sun."
It was during this depressive episode, as she was mulling over the Perfect's words, that she had her first interaction with a human. Seeing that human fight, Sora requested a sparring match in return for saving them from the foe that it was struggling to truly defeat. The resulting match showed her that even though she was armed against an unarmed opponent, she could still be defeated if she wavered. It also was the match that reignited the spark of passion in her heart, and so she dedicated herself to that human as samurai to a shogun.
Now that her shogun has learned of the various threats to not only her own world, but also Sora's and countless others, Sora has begun a new musha shugyō: to save the various worlds alongside the Tamer that granted Hyokomon her new name.
Personality: Much as expected for one of its species, Sora wishes for nothing more than to be a master of the sword; a true samurai. As such she views her Tamer as her Shogun, and tries her best to obey the orders she is given, even if she is misguided sometimes in how she executes them.
While not in combat Sora is a bit of an airhead unless her Shogun tells her to do something and specifies it as an order. In combat, however, Sora is intensely focused and enjoys the thrill of battle even when she believes her life is in danger. But threaten her Shogun and she will lose all mirth, ruthlessly destroying any who do so, choosing to crush the enemy completely and mercilessly.
Powers: - Cleaving Cut; brings down the blade it carries with incredible force upon the opponent. - Halving Cleave; a version of Cleaving Cut that is dead center down the middle of an opponent, causing vertical bisection. - Sword Secret: Chirping Slice; an irreplicable technique in which Hyokomon slices twice in such quick succession that they seem to be as one movement. While still in its infancy as a technique, Chirping Slice approaches the level of its true form: Tsubame Gaeshi. (Swallow Reversal)
Pururumon: -Techniques: -- Bubble Blow; shoots bubble-like substances from its mouth.
Chicchimon: - Info: -- Its future evolutions (barring one) cannot use its attacks, only Chicchimon itself can use either of them. - Techniques: -- Frothy Spit; shoots slightly acidic bubbles from its mouth. -- Petit Holy Flare; gathers light energy to a point within its sight, which then explodes.
Hyokomon: - Info: -- While two of its attacks are taken from Wikimon, Halving Cleave is its signature technique in Digmon Story: Lost Evolution, and Chirping Slice's description is custom but based on Buraimon's signature attack. -- Hyokomon's future forms can use all three of its attacks as well, should they want to.
Buraimon: - Info: -- While technically only having one canon attack, I added some custom ones and to the description of the canon signature attack. - Techniques: -- Swallow Duet Reverse; the true form of Chirping Slice, expanded three-fold. This attack strikes three times simultaneously, once with each of its two blades. The timing of the two twin techniques is variable, making it extremely dangerous. -- Horizon of the Blade; a Halving Cleave with each sword, one vertically and one horizontally, resulting in an opponent being cut into four perfectly equal quadrants. -- Angular Horizon of the Blade; a reverse of the Horizon of the Blade technique, this version starts the same as its sibling but results in a different attack. Halfway through the swing with each sword, the blades are brought into curving trajectories, one towards Buraimon and one away, meeting in the center of the target and creating a burst of wind, cutting down the foe on a hit and blowing them backwards on a miss.
Butenmon: - Info: -- Buraimon's techniques can, against all logic, be used by its Perfect stage form, in spite of requiring two swords to use them and it having only one. Thus is the result of true mastery of the blade. -- Similarly to Buraimon, Butenmon has custom attacks added to its two canon ones, which were both expanded on somewhat. -Techniques -- Dance of the Sun; rotates its massive sword as if drawing a circle, slashing a singular point repeatedly as it spins towards it. -- Dawn Light Flash; with its shining sword clad in holy energy, it cleaves the opponent in two. Unlike Halving Cleave, this attack can come from any direction and does not necessarily leave equal-sized pieces of the target. -- Morning Glory; infuses its armor with the same holy energy as Dawn Light Flash, greatly increasing its stopping power, integrity, and Butenmon's speed.
Chronomon Holy Mode: - Info: -- While holding the title of Super Ultimate in canon, this particular one does not, due to the various universes involved being different. -- Despite not holding the Super Ultimate title, this stage has extreme requirements from its Tamer to be able to be reached at all, and worse still to maintain it for even a moment. Its true weakness is its Tamer's heart and willpower. -- Even though it does not have a blade, it is able to use its previous forms' attacks. This includes Chicchimon's. -- Despite what may be assumed, Sora has the potential to not only use either form interchangeably, but also to Slide Evolve between them, should its Tamer be capable enough. -- No custom techniques were added for this stage itself. - Techniques: -- Holy Flare; uses holy purification to summon light and flames that eliminate everything. -- Chronos Crop; swings its holy wings like a brush, sweeping away evil.
Chronomon Destroy Mode: - Info: -- While holding the title of Super Ultimate in canon, this particular one does not, due to the various universes involved being different. -- Similarly to Holy Mode, reaching this form and maintaining it have an immense strain on its Tamer. Unlike Holy Mode this form actively harms the human, both mentally and physically, and could result in extreme damage to the Tamer if Chronomon stays in Destroy Mode for long. -- Destroy Mode is capable of using all of its former forms' attacks, except for Chicchimon's. -- Despite what may be assumed, Sora has the potential to not only use either form interchangeably, but also to Slide Evolve between them, should its Tamer be capable and foolhardy enough. -Techniques: -- (Enough to require an image) --
