My turn for an apology. When I said I hoped to finish my post last weekend, that was predicated on the idea that I'd have free time. As it turned out, there was a SNAFU which required me to work from home Saturday and Sunday. Today's my first full day off in a week and a half, so this weekend should go much smoother.

I'm glad to hear that you want to continue. Things are much slower here than I would prefer, truth be told, but consistency and the desire to keep going is key.

That's what I said the other day. For me, I couldn't gain access to the website since Saturday, so I was worried it was another Guildfall.

Any post where Hobie interacts with his siblings is great! Makes me wish I had more than 1 sibling. Are his siblings just as lively in the comics or did you inject them with their personalities yourself? Also, good post, Half Pint, the fight scene was just the hit of action I needed! There's very little about the Brown family in comics.

It IS a stated link that Hobie and Abraham Brown, the Black Tiger from old Shang-Chi: Deadly Hands of Kung Fu comics are brothers (and have 7 unnamed siblings), everything else has just been development out of my head. The Wu-Tang Clan connection was basically just New York based, plus there being so many of them, and throw in that their oldest brother has the kung fu connection.

So... I've used what little there is there about their family, and expanded and filled in a lot of blanks. There's no portrayal of any of the other siblings in comics at all, other than they exist. Even their names. Those have been my own creation, and I basically just have my own head canon that all of the brothers are named after various historical figures of importance to the black community (and that Hobie and Abraham are the only two named after white people - Abraham Lincoln and Judge Harlan Hobart Grooms - 'Tiger' Brown was damned if he'd give his son a name like 'Harlan'...)

If we're sticking strictly to the MCU, I'd say probably Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the first two seasons of Daredevil.

My favorite Marvel stuff, though, is outside the MCU. Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers EMH, the Raimi movies (1 and 2 anyway), and plenty of various runs from the comics, particularly the late 70s through early 90s.

I've not really seen many since endgame I really felt the MCU was running out of steam around then. I think I'd definitely have to say the Guardians trilogy is the best thing within the MCU though, and Guardians 3 is probably the best out of the lot even with the poisoned chalice James Gunn was given after endgame.

Got something in the works. Hoping to have it ready some time this week.

Okay. Let's talk.

First thing's first, we on the GM team owe everyone a major apology. We have not been very active in the last couple of months, and speaking for myself I have made promises for posts that never came to fruition. I'm not going to waste your time by offering the various justifications for this because we all know real life can hit us like a truck sometimes. Still, it was our responsibility to try to stay on top of things here, and we failed in that regard. That's on us, and we fully accept that.

That being said, seasons are changing and life is (knock on wood) getting somewhat back on track for the moment. I know for myself specifically, with the school year ending and my teaching responsibilities being nonexistent until summer school begins, I'll have much more time to refocus on this game. And all of us on the GM team are still interested in this concept, and have talked about trying to breathe some life back into it.

However, that's up to all of you. I'm going to be honest; it's been some time, things were slow to progress, and I understand there's a shiny new option on the Guild at the moment. So we all understand if those of you who had stuck around are experiencing waning interest. If that's the case with the majority of you, we'll accept it and hopefully revisit things in the future. But if most of you are still keen, and you're down for some renewed activity, then the GM team will immediately take some steps to liven things up. Including a potential recruitment drive and a new event.

So, we ask that all of you chime in and give your thoughts. Hit us with those yays and nays. Let us know if you honestly want to, and can invest the time/energy into, continuing.

I'll be honest, I've kind of lost interest with how slow things have been moving. With the new One Universe game up I think I'll be putting my energy into that instead. Sorry guys.

Oh thank goodness, all those nights plotting in the shower aren’t going to waste! I’m still 110% interested. Life happens and I’m glad things are clearing up some for you guys.
