Ring Name: Super Matsuda (FSPW President) Nickname(s): Limit Breaker Billed From: Tokyo, Japan Height: 6'2" Weight: 240 lbs. Age: 50 Appearance/Pic Base: Mitsuharu Misawa Text Color: 00a651
CHARACTER
Alignment: Babyface
Gimmick: The personification of fighting spirit. Strong-willed and resilient. In his prime, Matsuda led a faction known as Bushido, meaning "way of the warrior", and eventually opened a wrestling school called the Bushido Dojo. Retired from full-time competition a few years ago, and went on to become the founder and president of Fighting Spirit Pro-Wrestling, an organization based around the same Bushido code of honor. Mainly works in the front office, but will step back into the ring for special occasions. Has the same mentality as an executive that he did as a wrestler - tough, but fair.
Wrestling Style: Classic strong style. Devastating strikes and submissions. Dangerous suplexes and throws. Typically targets the neck and shoulder of his opponent throughout the match.
Ring Name: Sexton Love Nickname(s): The Sexcellence of Sexecution, Big Daddy Love, The Notorious B.O.D, Tyrannosaurus Sex, The Man of A Thousand Hoes Originally From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Billed From: Intercourse, Pennsylvania Height: 6'4" Weight: 269 lbs. Age: 30 Appearance/Pic Base: "Ravishing" Rick Rude Text Color: ed145b
CHARACTER
Alignment: Heel
Gimmick: The Sexiest There Is, Sexiest There Was, and Sexiest There Ever Will Be. A throwback to the golden age of wrestling, fueled by an unhealthy mix of testosterone and cocaine, and inspired by the likes of "Superstar" Billy Graham, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude. With a chiseled physique and a seemingly endless stream of terrible catchphrases, Sexton Love doesn't just want to be the face of Fighting Spirit... he wants to be the body, the arms, the legs, AND EVERY OTHER DAMN APPENDAGE. But the Lovely One knows how it works in this business... get the title on your waist to get the camera on your face... so he wants that GOLD, babbeh.
Entrance Description: Smoke fills the entryway, and hypnotic sounds fill the arena. As the beat drops, Sexton Love emerges from the haze... and seemingly out of a time machine from 1985. With animal print tights, an aggressively oiled chest, and a moustache that would make Tom Selleck jealous, The Sexcellence of Sexecution is prepared for battle. He takes a moment at the top of the ramp to survey the crowd (and grind his pelvis), before proceeding to WALK THAT AISLE as only few can. Boos rain down from all angles, but The Lovely One appears oblivious to that fact, basking in the vitriol as if it were pure adulation. About halfway down the ramp he comes to an abrupt stop, flexing his right bicep... then his left, giving the nearby fans an up close look at what some (few) might call the largest arms in the world. He enters the ring, shooting a wink at a woman in the front row, then strikes a series of dramatic, muscular poses. Game time, babbeh.
MOVESET
Wrestling Style: The self-proclaimed "60-Minute Man." A ring general that wears down his opponent by using a combination of raw strength, trash talk, technical wrestling prowess, and the occasional kick to the nuts. Targets the neck and upper back over the course of a match to set up for his (ELECTRIFYING) finishing moves - the Love Lock and the Sexecution. As dirty in the ring as he is outside of it, there isn't a cheap shot or short cut that Sexton Love won't take. Despite his flamboyant, over-the-top exterior he's a true student of the game, bringing an old-school wrestling style to the modern day.
Ring Name: El Sicario Nickname(s): El Mago/The Mexican Murderer Billed From: Ciudad Juarez Height: 6'0 Weight: 215 Age: 30 Appearance: Bandido Text Color: #51684c
CHARACTER
Alignment: Heel
Gimmick: FSPW's resident hitman and mercenary, El Sicaro is the hired hand other heels call in when they need someone beaten, humiliated, and taken out. He has no masters other than money, he worships nothing but the almighty dollar.
In my youth Juarez was the most violent city on the face of the earth. Men were gunned down in the street, women kidnapped from their homes, children left orphaned by a cruel and unkind world. I was one of those children, and by the grace of Santa Muerte I survived. I have fought, I have bled, and I have made others bleed. I climbed the cartel ladder, rung by bloody rung, until I made it to the top. From the streets of Juarez to the halls of power in Mexico City, everyone knew the name Sicario. And they feared it.
Now I set my sights on Japan. I am told there are those who are to be feared. But so far I have found them wanting. This message serves as a warning to the entire FSPW locker room: I have arrived, and my path to the top starts today. Anyone who stands in my way will be cast by the wayside. In a Juaraez orphange twenty years ago, I remember a fat nun reading a group of us boys the Bible, specifically the book of Revelation. The passage I remember most: "Miré, y he aquí un caballo amarillo, y el que lo montaba tenía por nombre Muerte, y el Hades le seguía;"
"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him."
Ring Name: Gerald Shaw Nickname(s): Tōgyū (闘牛) or Bull Sumo in English, he doesn't like being called Togyu but probably would if he knew what it means Billed From: Texas Height: 6'6 (actually 6'3) Weight: 340 pounds (actually 260) Age: 45 Appearance/Pic Base: A lot of Stan Hansen, a little Steve Williams Text Color: Mid Orange f7941d
CHARACTER Alignment:
Heel but views himself as a Face because he's showing Japan what true power looks like and representing the United States just super well. Arrogant, a little botch prone.
Gimmick:
In short, a capable but prideful American Hoss with a temper that screws him over.
Promoted, at least initially, as a big acquisition from AmeriPro. Was actually a High MidCard to Low Main Event star in AmeriPro. Strong fundamentals but not a lot of moveset diversity beyond some brawling and power moves. Couldn't really set himself apart from his big man contemporaries in AmeriPro. In Fighting Spirit Pro, easy to hate, easy to want to see beaten by Japanese fan favorites. Viewed as a threat but not yet really Main Event. Popular foil for rising stars and always hoping to get the push to the Main Event.
Shaw prides himself on being a warrior and taking and delivering stiff shots. He views it as part of the Old School and himself as an Old School stalwart. Fully expects himself to rise to the top. Resents the need for a translator and views himself as above the smaller wrestlers. Clearly the Heavyweight Division is the main attraction in Shaw's mind. Tends to get gassed as a match wears on, leading him to want to end it quickly and resort to cheap shots and heel tactics as the match wears on and he starts to lose steam. That's where he got the nickname, stomping around like a bull during difficult matches.
Just started using a Moonsault as a Finisher, used to a Big Boot (Greetings from West Texas). Manager/Interpreter "Mr. Watanabe" has to remind him sometimes that the Big Boot is no longer a Finisher so he has a fairly common spot of a Big Boot into the Moonsault, sometimes missing it due to the time delay.
The actual wrestler is a competent professional and a safe worker, but he plays the character up to make up for his limited moveset and advancing age. He does absolutely legitimately want to become Champion.
Gerald Shaw is seen standing back stage flexing and adjusting the many tassels on his vest, worked up and very clearly waiting for his Interview to begin.
The Interviewer (in Japanese) introduces him to the crowd and congratulates him for a significant performance before asking him about his latest match, a defeat, and how he intends to overcome that competitor in their rematch.
His Translator translates it perfectly into English.
Gerald Shaw has until now been standing relatively calmly waiting for the translation.
Gerald Shaw responds to his interpreter, yelling at him in an overblown 80s Promo sort of way, directly in his face.
I'll tell you what Brother! Fighting Spirit Pro-Wrestling is about to have a new Champion. Gerald Shaw. Me. And You, You tell them Mr. Watanabe, you tell them, you tell Super Matsuda once I get my hands on that FSP Heavyweight Championship belt it's gonna stay here. RIGHT HERE.
slaps his sides to indicate where the belt will go and turns his attention to the camera, yelling at it now
Texas Baby. Longhorns. OORAH. I'M COMING FOR IT.
stomps around, grabbing the interviewer by his shirt until his translator politely brushes his hands away and straightens out the interviewer's collar, apologizing for him. Both shake their heads as Gerald Shaw is still yelling at the camera
And who's gonna stop me? Send em! Who is big enough to hold me back? Who? Bring em out. Send em. SEND EM GODDAMIT. MURICA!
Crowd Boos
ENTRANCE: Entrance Theme: soundcloud.com/texas-condor-kick/gene… I imagine he walks out at about :06 when the guitar starts up Entrance Description: Gerald Shaw comes out at a brisk walk, pointing and yelling in English. Self aggrandizement. Challenges to his current competitor. Receives mostly mild boos. His interpreter comes out shortly afterward and there are cheers. This is the crowd recognizing the masked "Mr. Watanabe" as Haruto Watanabe and cheering him. Jack Hansen takes this to be the Americans in the crowd cheering over the people booing him and gets very pumped up.

Ring Name: Emiko Kozutsami Nickname(s): The Rebel Princess Billed From: Saitama, Japan Height: 5'6" (168 cm) Weight: 128 lbs (58 kg) Age: 24 Appearance/Pic Base: Saya Kamitani Text Color: A8EDEA
CHARACTER
Alignment: Babyface.
Gimmick: Daughter of the legendary (and now retired) heel Maro Kozutsami, The Crimson King, Emiko blazes her own path and won't be defined by blood or expectations. She refuses any and all handouts or shortcuts offered to her because of her name, earning her achievements the hard way. Emiko aggressively pursues the toughest challenges, any setbacks or defeats she suffers only fueling her drive. She debuted on the independent circuit at nineteen, winning multiple championships over the next five years, and now looks to make her mark on FSPW. She'll meet and exceed her father's achievements, and she'll do it her own way.
Entrance Description: Blue flames light up the screens, and Emiko appears amidst white sparks at the top of the ramp when the beat drops, wearing a long cloak of white feathers with her ring attire. She surveys the crowd, then descends with the verse, laser-focused on the ring. She takes her time, walking a lap around the ring and eyeing up the competition if they entered first. Once she's up onto the apron, she vaults over the top rope in time with the drop of the chorus, heading to the corner and only then playing to the crowd, swaying with her arms extended and a confident smile. The music fades out before the second verse begins, and by then Emiko has removed her cloak and is ready for battle.
MOVESET
Wrestling Style: High energy, making heavy use of punishing kicks and aggressive takedowns. Impressively strong for her size and highly resilient, she looks to end matches with either a suplex showcasing her power, or a fearless aerial assault from the corner, with little regard for her own safety and no hesitation to fight ringside. She honors the Spirit of Competition whenever she can, but when the rules are relaxed or she's up against a hated rival, her natural aggression can win out.
Ring Name: Tiger Ramone Nickname(s): The Tokyo Dardevil, The Last Shogun Billed From: Tokyo , Japan Height: 5'9 Weight: 180 lbs Age: 40 Appearance/Pic Base: Jun Kasai Text Color: FF8C00
CHARACTER
Alignment: Babyface
Gimmick: For the last twenty years, Tiger Ramone has been the premier hardcore wrestler in the Japanese scene. With a punk rock ethos and a disregard for his own personal safety, there is no crazy feat he is unwilling to take, no high spot he won't do. He has competed in everything from ladder matches, to steel cages with weapons and barbwire. He has put his blood, sweat, and tears into the pro wrestling business the last two decades and his daring and anti-establishment attitude ahs made him one of Japan's most over babyfaces.
Sample Promo (Optional):
I am called the Last Shogun, in honor of those old samurai warlords who ruled our nation with iron fists. The reason I am the last? It's because they are no more, they are lost to time and the pages of history. In this world of ours, we focus on wins and losses. Yet, there is only one opponent who is undefeated, and his name is Father Time. And he's coming for me.
I am entering my third decade as a professional wrestler. For the last twenty years you have seen me go out night after night and put it all on the line for you. I have broken over fifty bones, had almost one thousand stitches, and put an entire generation of doctor's childrens through college with my medical bills alone. Every day it gets a little harder and harder to wake up and get out of bed. Every step there is a little more pain, a little more ache, and a little less joy. And there will come a day when I cannot go on, a day in which I will throw in the towel and be pinned for the last time. It comes for us all and I will be no different. But that day has yet to come, and that day will not come until the prize that has alluded me my entire career is mine: The FSPW World Championship!
So this is a warning to the rest of the FSPW roster: Do your worst. I like the pain.
Ring Name: Justin Young Nickname(s): Dynamite, The Prodigy, People's Champ Billed From: Saint Louis, Missouri Height: 6'2" Weight: 235 lbs Age: 26 Appearance/Pic Base: Swerve Strickland Text Color:007236

Friendly to those that are nice to him, he becomes a living nightmare to those that cross him. Down to Earth, he embodies the style of his people, showing it off every time he walks to the ring. His gimmick truly shines during his run for the championship, a notable run in his prior promotion Powerhouse Wrestling.
Wrestling Style: Young is first and foremost a striker, utilizing quick flurries of punches, elbows, and kicks to wear down his opponents. As the match drags on, he employs high flying moves and complex maneuvers. Each move meant to tire his opponent and rile up the crowd into a fervor. Acrobatics are a standout, weaving it in realistically to match the pace of the match and his opponent.

CHARACTER
Alignment: Heel
Gimmick: Himiko is a Goddess and does not take that title lately. She is effervescent in the way she carries herself, not caring for those beneath her, that being every woman wrestler in the company. Over confidence plagues every bit of her being, willing to humiliate anyone who attempts to challenge her. She believes everyone exists to worship her. There is none above her and the rest below will forever be peasants.
Wrestling Style: Like her nickname, Himiko is a technician on the mat, knowing more submissions than most people have forgotten. Every strike, suplex, and slam is a prerequisite to a submission of some kind. She does not pin peasants, instead she wants them to give up of their own volition, a sign that they are beneath her.
Personality/Background: The (English) voice of Fighting Spirit. Worked as an announcer in minor league baseball before getting an opportunity in the wrestling business, of which he's been a lifelong fan. Calls the action fairly and lends credibility to every broadcast. A knowledgeable wrestling historian with a deep respect for the competitors in the ring. He's not the star of the show, they are.
