1. Where: I was intending to have the drinking take place on a contested border between the Machina and the Angels, in the middle of an ongoing battle.

Wait, why would they be partying in the middle of a battle?

Yeah, I'm all up for an inter faction drinking party, but there's a time and place for that sort of thing. More likely that'll happen in neutral/equally hostile zones then literally between battles.

Unless you mean a place people can go drink off elsewhere while a battle rages on somewhere else in the Nexus IC or something.

What part of no Neutral Zones is that hard to understand? I literally just explained this on my previous post.

To clarify, Neutral Zones are worse than War Zones for the fact that they house monsters worse than the actual combatants. If you're talking about a peace zone where this party can happen, you need to make an effort to create one IC.

I believe what @The 42nd Gecko is a spot similar to the 'quiet sectors' in the Western Front in WW1. A place where enemies faced off across the trenches, but generally fighting was low intensity and fairly sporadic. This was generally allowed for multiple reasons, on both sides of the border. It was a place where new units could get a taste of combat before being sent to somewhere more active, it allowed units that had been through recent battles a chance to rest and recover before being deployed again, and it allowed for the guys in charge to better concentrate all their resources to the fights that they believed mattered.

This is in comparison to, say, Ypres, where every day was hellish combat. In such a 'quiet sector', you'd be more likely to have a relationship with the enemy beyond 'shoot on sight', even if it's just leaving cigarettes for the enemy patrol when they come around (Just watch out for the snipers). And since war profiteeering Neutrals aren't a thing, it's the most likely place where regular faction members could interact outside of irregular challenges like the current fight.

I don't mean neutral as in "No fighting allowed" but more like "No one is going to bother trying to fight for this area" sort of neutral. Like Hoho's realm here. I doubt any of the factions want to bother tangling with her or trying to compete with the other factions for that chance. And assuming Hoho doesn't care or would capitalize on these different faction members being around her territory, perhaps they could meet up here.

In fact, if Syphax still wants a peaceful place to drink and meet other faction members, maybe he could use his wish to do so. Just a place where it's no so much outside the Nexus, but outside the control of the main three factions but someone just as strong I.e. Hoho. That way if any of the more zealot members of the factions try to stir up trouble, then Hoho just gets to use that as an excuse to take them away. Others who don't cause trouble/make themselves useful to her can relax in relative peace.

If one could wish for such a thing of course.

@Lucius Cypher That wish could certainly be made, but to do it, Syphax passes on his only opportunity to save his race short of betraying the Angels.

@The 42nd Gecko For now, an interfaction bar scene would break the canon pretty hard. The only reason it worked that one time was a blank spot the Demons briefly annexed and the gullibility of almost four people that wanted some booze. And Sliske saying "I am not putting up with this shit, this prison is mine now."

@TheWindel, @Flamelord and @Lucius Cypher have my gist. It's going to be a contested border where the fighting is there but weak simply because there's nothing worth fighting over there. It's just blasted dirt, with all artifacts of power taken looong ago by the victors. The real armies are reserved for important targets, like the previous battles.

@Mega Birb I'm not sure how hard it would break the canon seeing that it's already been established that Miyu can shop and send packages across all factional borders. She bought the Imperator a human foot massager. She sent Eos a homemade angel sweater. Apparently the one thing Miyu is good at is dancing back and forth across factional lines. She somehow sent stuff to the demons who all want her dead for her betrayal!

I feel like this is a very subjective case. IIRC, Miyu used some kind of messenger to send those gifts as opposed to sending them herself. There's a difference between sending someone to the three Factions and crossing Factions herself.

@TheWindel But who would she send if everyone's at war, and there are no neutral parties except people who are even worse than the factions? That would just establish someone else having the capacity. Someone had to go to each factions respective messenger groups, arrange things, and then transport goods across borders.

I'd also like to mention that Miyu visiting the Machina controlled lands is literally in her bio.

Actually, I have a great idea for the someone. If only there was someone Miyu knew, who's already established as part of canon, who could fit in literally anywhere. Who'd even make a great bartender due to their ability to summon whatever you want. Yay for ideas!

There is someone. Assuming @Inner Demon gets back to our collab.

I'm just gonna stop pushing for the drinking crew outright. It's causing a lot of conflict that isn't needed. We will probably find a way down the line but right now there's no way to find a way unless we;

1- Wanna try and drink in a neutral zone, which is not a good idea.

2- Want to try to establish a non-hostile zone, which means we need to take over a sliver of a neutral zone, which is not a good idea.

3- Want to try and drink in the middle of an ongoing battle, which is not a good idea.

Also, do we get prizes from Hohenheim? I thought it was just the victor that got the prize.

@Banana

Everyone who makes it to Hohenheim (which is anyone who wants to, now that we are offering to auto resolve the rest of the trial so that we can move on from this one more pain of a conclusion) can make a simple request/wish. As long as it's nothing too outrageous, Hohenheim can grant it. However, she's a very sadistic person, you people don't watch their words, they may end up boning themselves.

The first one to arrive, determines which faction (the Angels on this case) would get a benefit from Hohenheim, for being able to complete her trials.

Anyway, I just want to get over this other frustration. The next battle is already planned and waiting for the right time to launch. Hopefully it won't devolve into more pointless arguments, because of the very nature of how it'll be handled. That's becoming an annoying factor on this RP, since it happened every single time up to now, despite all our efforts to avoid it.

PS:

I appreciate the understanding, by the way. It's good that we have more people that aren't determined to fight the GMs' words.

So @Banana, does Bonesword plan to do anything with Tatiana, or is he just gonna make his escape? Cause if the latter then I'll just take the timeskip to the end in order to deflect any anger as a result of boredom that might be directed at me by the GMs

He's probably just going to go seek out Hohenheim and ask for something smaller, that he could receive. Probably a sword.

@KoL
So... basically I have to be super specific about it?
Like how specific do we have to make this?
"Hohenheim. Great Alchemist. I would like to ask of you the gift of a sword, breakable by nothing, and to be wielded by those who truly are attempting to repay for their sins."
Would that work when asking for a badass sword that can't really be broken? (If BS had made it to the top first he'd probably ask for his loved one back, or for something that'd help him finish the demon race for good.)

This request seems ok. Hohenheim can pull a few strings and get him a Celestial sword like that.

@KoL
Now the only question is, would Hoho be a dick with giving the sword, or would she give him the sword like casually.

I can imagine her throwing it at him and it just stabs him in the mushroom dome, all while she's cackling away.

Hohenheim wouldn't be so chaotic. The most she will do for sure is more verbal abuse /bullying. She doesn't really have much interest in killing people when making them mad is much more fun.

Of you want to, I can come up with a line of dialogue for her, later. At the moment I'm a bit burned with excessive RPing work, though. You can remember me close to the weekend, if you want it, or skip it, of you want to move to the intermissions, already.

I can move into the intermissions already. Could I possibly ask that Hohenheim give the sword at a later point, which would make sense if she has to pull a few strings to get it?

If not, I'm perfectly ok with that and I'll be willing to move on without it.

You can have the sword at the same time as you complete the challenge. Hoho can produce nearly any kind of object with a mere thought, getting an unbreakable sword blessed by the heavens is not a hard task at all for her.
