I second this, if Ameda had a counterbalance to Sinfjotlis chronic dickery it could be very interesting.

I wonder if Walgrave realizes how horrendously, horribly bad his current plan can backfire so easily.

@VitaVitaAR I think you may be presuming that he intends to use Assassin, instead of say, just attempting to secure assassin on his side in the case of treachery.

So after backlogging a bit it seems that the way that Jack was being written previously is... Kind of sort of radically different from how I usually write her so um.

So when I get around to posting for her it might be a bit jarring since she'll be written kind of differently but just roll with it, okay? ^^; I already checked with @Raineh Daze and the GMs and they all seem fine with it but... Yeah, just noting this here so people aren't taken too aback by it I guess.

@Rin Btw Rin, I meant to talk to you.

So, old timey bigwigs have theorized that the Volsung Saga and Arthurian myth are very closely related, with details being borrowed and swapping back and forth. What with the Sword in the Tree vs the Sword in the stone, Sigmund becoming a legendary King and unifier like Arthur and a dozen other little details.

Anyway the parallels between Sinfjotli and Mordred are numerous. Both of them are bastards born of incest because their fathers witch sister changed her shape to sleep with him. Both of them killed their own brother/brothers, both had violent clashes with their father and both share their general status as the dark shadow to the main protag. It's fairly likely that Mordred and Sinfjotli are distant relations in terms of their legends roots, especially since the stories are supposed to take place very close to each other in time. They could be considered brothers from another saga if you will.

Anyway I was wondering if you were interested in trying to do anything with this, maybe have them find each other vaguely familiar in some way? Even if nothing else happens between the two I thought it would be cool to have this noted in some way, sort of like how Gilgamesh notes how Merodach and Caliburn are related, being from completely difrent legends, but also very similar in spirit.

@VitaVitaAR Ah. He is vaguely aware of the possibility of backfire, as Magi tend to be since they are a schemy bunch, but yeah, Walgrave is serious underestimating Servants and the bad things that tend to come from fucking with them. He is used to be most dangerous things in the world being Dead Apostles and various minor Spirits. Hes also kinda racist.

@Nanashi Ninanai: Okay, summed up:
Cojemo and chukklehed are dropping.

Diarmuid is now sidelined.
Scathach has been picked up by GreenGoat.
Rin is back, posting, and has obtained control of Jack.
EMIYA is now Amadea's Servant, too.

@Beloss

If you dig deep enough, all myths end up getting related. That's the whole basis for Typemoon's rendition of Gil, after all. For example how Atilla's sword actually was inspired on Charlemagne's Joyeuse (never mind that FGO turned it into a circus aberration, though).

@KoL True, many myths are related to each other on some level, but the Volsung Saga and the Arthurian myths especially so. If most myths are say, distant cousins then Volsung and Arthur would be brothers. Professors of the subject have compiled quite a body of work comparing the two.
