Would anyone be interested in doing a roleplay as several Imperial Knights from Warhammer 40k? I have a general idea I am fleshing out and would love to have a co-gm to discuss it with. Bare bones the idea is several Knights from different houses are converging on a recently re-discovered forge world that a Rogue trader stumbled upon. It is tainted by chaos and must be cleansed.

Maybe it's just the power that comes with fighting from inside a mini-Titan, but this is very interesting for me. I'm in, if anyone else is.

@Jinxlynx Not sure about co-GMing, but since you're asking for help about how the game ought to go, here's a few questions: is there any restriction on what House a given character can come from, such as Imperial or AdMech allegiance, or whether they come from a Great House? Must all Houses be canonical, or can players come up with one of their own?
Likewise, is there any restriction on Knight patterns? Are Cerastus Knights allowed? Questoris Knights? Are we allowed to come up with our own unique Knight patterns? Or do we have to stick with just the main notable Knight patterns?
What sort of rank should each PC have within their respective House? Are standard Knights and Knight Apparents the given, or can some people take up arms as Seneschals or even Barons?

These are the questions that must be asked. I'm sure there's more, I'm just not sure what they are.

Oh, I am very interested in this... While they do hold tremendous power, just like in the book Titanicus(Which has full on Titans) they can be brought down and it doesn't always take a never ending army to do it.

Just wanted to re-quote this, all the questions are pertinent.

Im already cooking up Character ideas, and im pretty sure you (because i wouldnt) wont allow a Knight Porphyrion. Im thinking an arrogant heavy support crusader knight.. Or a blood thirsty half mad Paladin/Errant.

@Sophrus Sounds good to me. My plan is to fill in a melee role as a Knight of House Griffith, in either a Knight Errant, a Knight Gallant, or a Cerastus Knight-Lancer if Jinxlynx will allow Cerastus Knights. I imagine the character will be similar either way - aggressive, a bit prone to laughing at slaughter, and somewhat keen on proving he's the most worthy of honour upon Dragon's End.

@BCTheEntity lol, well if i stick with the Crusader i will certainly think you are a barbaric fool. if i go with the half mad berzerker i expect we will have a rather friendly rivalry.

@Sophrus "Ha! Tell that to the enemies I destroy in ruthless, yet honourable close-range combat! As opposed to your knave-like manner of shooting them from two kilometers away."

I'm thinking of a "grappler" type of Knight with two Thunderstrike Gauntlets, two meltas (the Knight doesn't have a shield thing on the shoulder) and maybe a rocket pod. The idea is that he'd punch shit good but the role he excels at is attacking other Knights/walkers by literally ripping them apart with the gauntlets and then blasting away at the open circuits and machinery with the dual metals. Basically what happens if you combine a Knight Gallant and a Dwarf Slayer from Warhammer Fantasy with some good old fashioned Pacific Rim chucked in too.

@BCTheEntity "Ruthless? certainly. Honorable? that is what everyone says. However from two kilometers i am safe from retaliation and am free to rain the Emperor's judgment down upon the enemy cleansing the field with bolter and melta-fire, and save your sorry ass from that Superheavy tank that was behind you."

probably gonna be a close(ish) fire support with a thermal cannon and avenger gatling cannon. EG: pest control
