I'm not sure in what direction I plan to take Maisy. I know she'll be rocking the trooper lifestyle for awhile, but in the end, Maisy is somewhat curious about resettling her childhood home.

Women of Lasthope know that they need to think of motherhood, it's only practical in the long run. Kids were the Old Worlds Pension plan long before Social Security. I know it's strange to think of having kids to later take advantage of them in your old age but don't kids take advantage of their parents in the beginning?

In the old world, money existed and it was all you needed to take care of yourself in your old age. Money is good for paper or if its the pure coins useful in recycling. Jewelry is so common it isn't funny. How many cars fled with the family jewels, how much jewelry do you think is in an average house or if you aren't squeamish on the Risen.

Then what better way to do so by rising through the ranks and settling new land, which also furthers Lasthope's reach in the new world of walkers and other various threats.

Still, I don't see Maisy settling down any time soon. In the future? Sure. Now? Iffy. She might go as far as hooking up with someone, but not as far as putting a bun in the oven.

Just to put in my two cents on that subject. Trevor doesn't plan that far ahead Sure he Daydreams sometimes. but he's fairly certain that he's going to die before then. Mostly because he does feel like at some point he's going to like a lot of you and he tends to have a bit of Reckless abandon when it comes to protecting his friends. He does have some honor if you can look past all the crazy.

Also: In 1800, Somers fought three duels on the same day with multiple opponents because they accused him of cowardice for failing to challenge Decatur over a joking insult they overheard. Somers was wounded in the first two duels and had to be supported during the third (by Decatur, who was acting as his second).[1]

Yeah, they were both officers on the same ship. Still, it's somewhat confusing. People were angry at someone not being angry at someone only to end up dueling the person who they were angry about not being challenged in a duel. Just a whole lotta angry sailors.
