Katherin smiled at the boy. She could tell he was struggling. She didn't know if her disability made him nervous, it seemed to make a lot of people nervous although she could never figure out why. Or if it wa's something else. She hoped that she wasn't the source of his nervousness. "I would appreciate that. It is hard to memorize a place this big." She told him as she stopped next to him. "Can you tell me where the stairs start and where the end?" She ask. People didn't give much thought to stairs. She need all the details she could get.

Urs wandered through the corridors, having lost Jasper at some point. She knew that it was time for class, but she was having difficulty finding it. She always had difficulty finding anything inside. Well, that was until she found Alex and some new girl. Walking up to them, she began to speak.

"Hey Alex, where is the class room again?"

Small tendrils of vines crept up her neck, lifting her hair from her neck and letting her cool down a bit. Then, as she got closer to Alex, the squirmed. Her vines never liked being around the boy. You know, fire.

Mrs. Claus put all the dishes in the dishwasher before heading up to the rooms. She always checked the rooms before starting the day just in case. She couldn't allow anyone to miss class. If they were going to live her they had to attend classes. She oped each bedroom door and looked inside. She saw a boy trying to pick one of the locks. "You know if you were where you were suppose to be there would be no need to break into a room I was going to give you anyway. You need to go down to the basement with the others.

Ginty jobs and thros the Bobby pin across the hall. "But why? I've been here for over 9 years and have already mastered my ability to Levitate. There is no one point on going to Power Development Training," He says pouting really not wanting to be bored for the next hours, "And I thought you already have given this room to me." He crosses his arms as his sits on the floor, his long black sleeves of his sweater hanging.

Alex was about to start explaining the steps before Urs walked up to him. "I will show you again. Don't worry Urs, I know what mornings are like." He said laughing as he noticed her vines retreat from him. Figures... he thought to himself as he went back to the stairs. "So they are 50 steps, about 1 foot tall steps. Is that what your looking for?" He asked wanting to make sure she was good to try and go down them.

"Well, come inside then, you can leave your bags there." As he pointed to a corner in the entrance hall. "Class is about to start and we can comeback and grab them after it. Follow me. I know it seems a bit rushy just arriving and having to go to classes, but rules are rules. And after all it's a fun class

"Alright" Shadow said sliding his bag into the corner. "I would rather go to class then sit around anyway" Shadow said as his nerves began to calm and slowly his hair shrunk down to its normal size and his inky black claw like hands melted away to normal hands. Knowing his powers stopped he took off the cloak and revealed the suit and tie underneath. After tossing his cloak on his bag Shadow said "shall we?"

"Yes you have been here most of your life. And you have mastered levitating. But I can't allow you to skip class. I need to be able to keep an eye on everyone. Plus this orphanage is only for children that can not fit into normal society. Are you saying I should start looking for a foster home for you?" Mrs. Clause asked. She didn't blame him for not wanting to go but being alone wasn't good for anyone.

When the older lady mention 'foster home he quickly fell silent and emotionless trying to think of a good response. Ginty never thought about going into a foster home before he was alway content with hiding and wandering around the Orphanage, it would be a huge change but if it implies having to deal with normal people it would a even bigger change. "I don't know. I guess you could try," He mumbles staring at his lap with his hands now by his sides.

Katherin was surprised by the number. She had never had to count that far. She supposed that having the training room that far underground kept the powers from hurting neighbors from being affected by there abilities. "I wasn't really looking for a number although that is helpful. Can you tell me about how deep they are? Maybe guide my cane to the next step so I know how far to step down."She asked as she moved forward. She used the cane to fine the edge of the stairs. The other hand felt along the wall for a railing.

He laughed. "Sorry about that. Here I can show you." He said as he softly guided her cane down the top of the next step. "Was that helpful." He asked wanting to be sure she could find her way. He could tell she was pretty independent but he could not help but wonder how she was going to handle this.

Jazzy smiled as she walked down the stairs as quickly as she could to get to her favorite class and she made it to the classroom to see no one was in the room yet. Perfect... She thought to herself as she ran right to her favorite spot in the front row and left a space for her new friend to sit with her. She liked the front because the other children were much taller then she was and would have a hard time participating if she could not see what was going on.

"The training is in the underground, that way we avoid that noisy powers disturb the neighborhood" explained Jasper and they walked down the stairs. Most of the people were already there, so Jasper invited Shadow to sit and did how Mrs. Claus asked.

"Hum... He.. Hey everyone. For those who don't know I'm Jasper. Mrs. Claus, the housekeeper asked me to do the introductions so... We are going to have a power development class, what we do in class varies every class... And I think that's it... Any questions? " Jasper didn't like being in this position, he was really embarrassed and kinda annoyed with Mrs. Claus for making him do this.

"Ah, I see," Myra replied, after Jazzy had explained the class to her.

She smiled at the little girl's enthusiasm and continued on after her as she bounced over to where they were supposed to go. All around them were the other teenagers and children making their way down. Some were eager, some not so much. A few others were helping the new arrivals with directions and details, like how Jazzy was helping her out. Myra soon realized that keeping up with the fox-girl had resulted in them being the first ones to arrive.

She slid into the seat next to Jazzy as the others continued to pour in. The same tattooed teenager from earlier then addressed everyone in the room, sounding a little hesitant while doing so. He introduced himself as 'Jasper', and offered to answer any questions. He did mention that every session was different, so Myra figured that there would be no point in asking what was going to happen.

Katherin nodded. That helped a lot. Now she had an idea of how far to step down. She slowly made her way down the stairs. It was a slow process. She hoped that she wasn't in anyone's way. People tended to get frustrated when the had to deal with her disability. While she couldn't change that she tried to be as little of an inconvenience as she could manage.

She heard the others talking about their powers as she reached the bottom. She was looking forward to getting to know the others. Hopefully the benefactor was being truthful when he said that the others had powers like hers. If he was telling the truth maybe she would finally have a place she could belong to. A boy named Jasper had finished introducing himself when she reached the bottom of the stairs. It wasn't much of an introduction though.

"And What is your power Jasper?" the housekeeper asked as she appeared behind him.

Urs was the last one to reach the bottom, having walked down the stairs behind Kathleen. Damnit, why did the class have to be underground? SHe hated being underground, there was no light, no sun light.

However, she knew that it was power dev time, as such, one of her vines dropped from her sleeve. Burrowing into the ground, it travelled, hidden. Worming its way underneath everyone else, the solitary vine sat, waiting.

Urs listened as Jasper introduced himself to everyone else. Smiling, she listened as he explained his own powers. His voice carried over to her, making her slightly drowsy. Sitting against the wall, Urs' hair was all sorts of messed up.

Spiridon had been quite the whole way to the basement, he hasnt said a word since he got there.That was very hard to not say anything, he thinks he NEEDS to talk.

Violetta, once she's done cleaning up her mess, follows everyone else down the stairs to the basement. Most of the orphans are already there, sitting in a loose circle as Jasper explains for the newcomers. That's right, they have several... And there's another coming, sounds like. She should probably help them get acquainted, but she doesn't want to be rude...

Sitting down next to Urs, she smiles softly at the girl. Urs is a kind girl, though Violetta knows she doesn't like being down in a place without any sun or fresh air. Her vines are a power to behold, however.

"Hello, Urs. How have you been?" she asks, watching a red-haired girl come down the stairs, guided by Alex. How nice of him. Everything seems to be falling in place for their little family--at least for power development. Violetta's power isn't very flexible in terms of power, but she tries her best to match the progress of everyone else. It's difficult, but the reward is worth the trouble.

Jasper thought that should be enough for what the housekeeper asked so he left the middle area and went towards the rest of the kids. He stood by Urs side whispering something to her. "So, what do you think will happen this time?"

Spirdon has never heard of that, but he thinks that his own power isnt as nice as theirs. He decided to not be board so he took a deep breath and closed his eyes.When he opened them, he was on the other side of the basement, he looked at his own body amazed! This is the first time he did this! He was floating with a slight golden shimmer around his body, he saw his real body, his real body's head was dropped down, no one seemed to notice.

"Thank you Jasper. I would like to welcome those of you who are new. We get new arrivals all the time. The gene that gives you powers seems to be happening more often. But there are still very few of us. You will need each other. We are outnumbered. While some would welcome us. Most would prefer to kill or study us. We can not allow that. I am called Mrs. Clause. Places like this didn't exist when I was young. You are lucky that the benefactor built this haven. You are welcome to leave at anytime and welcome to return as long as you leave her on good terms. I will show you my ability last. Who would like to introduce themselves next?" The housekeeper asked scanning the kids.
