I'm a little torn because We're going to be getting heavy on law-enforcement types. I made Paige to sort of give some of our unscrupulous characters some real problems and then we just got a police officer as well. Would you be opposed to making him a bail bondsman (aka a bounty hunter) or maybe a private investigator? If you really are pushing for it then I'll allow it and We'll figure it out from there. I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity.

well my two cents... if you wanted to keep Veteran angle and concept maybe working in Private security?
it seems a career that a ranger just out of army would fall into, and they would be able to relocate pretty easily with a decent skill set, and experience?

I normally do not weigh in on matters such as this, but in my personal opinion I see nothing intrinsically wrong with a US Marshal or any other law enforcement agent as a character...they are ultimately people too. Though in Slice of Life Rp’s it is pertinent to note that ninety-nine percent of the time a character will not be doing law enforcement duties they’d instead be interacting with the player base as a large. Even Superman is Clark Kent once in a while and so on.

I think there would be a way to build a non-intrusive arc for the law enforcement characters without derailing the game for everyone else. The one percent of time these characters would be doing their respective jobs (perhaps durning free time or whatever) perhaps (presuming that the characters are not on the task force to begin with) perhaps they’d find that their initially separate investigations are connected and join forces to uncover the puppeteer behind the various crimes or what not. A slow-burning mystery could be rewarding. But I am just throwing stuff at the proverbial wall. And I'll happily accept whatever decision is ultimately made.

I mean, ideally Jamal will be undercover for most of the time right now. So he'll be playing the more thuggish, unscrupulous cjhracter of the group. He won't be breaking cover just for simple social outings (he's paranoid like that) and may sink into his "simple grunt" mode when talking to people. The man himself hates talking.

He won't break cover any time in the forseeable future and would only do so if the situation needs him to break it or if somehow someone got close enough to him to learn that about him. So you can scratch him out for now (but accidents do happen)

Edit: If you'd like, I could create a seperate personality paragraph for the cover he's using? Since that's the interaction characters will be having with him for now?

Well, I don't want to intrude upon the law enforcement side of things, but I just watched the nice guys recently, and was considering getting Joseph caught up in that stuff with searching for Bob as one of his accidental adventures.

More like he'll bumble his way into it, ending with a hilarious, as well as stupidly dangerous adventure. Although him getting the bounty could also be helpful for him.

No problemo, I chose Jamal's undercover cop thing so I could play someone who was constantly acting, an experiment of sorts. Not essentially for the crime drama
