Following a brutal 20 year long war, ending the use of a now identifiably volatile and unsafe energy nicknamed "Dogma", the world has entered a scientific age of industry, the Industrial Age as scholars have noted it for now. With the emergence of airships as a common form of transport, the invention of the cartridge for firearms already well-known at the time, and the birth of Magitek, has caused society to make leaps and bounds that even it's population fears being left behind. Many however recognize these rapidly changing times as the time to get busy, or truly be left behind.

Your story begins at the cusp of a new age following this era that is about to end. The individuals that will forge the era to come, as heroes, or villains, out of interest, duty, or the thrill of adventure and battle. From the bottom up you will elevate to the levels of legendary heroes and gods, the final frontier of fantasy. Become revered, for your power, for your deeds, or become feared beyond compare.

STRUCTURE

The RP will be structured in parts, separated by the different nations. For example the first part will all take place in Raelin, and then Escain, and then so on. Each part ends when the major story segment ends, and everyone's characters must be moved to the next nation for the start of the next part. After the major story arc for each nation ends, there will be a grace period for everyone to wrap up business or start business that links them to the next nation. Near the end of the each story arc I will inform everyone what the next nation will be.

Though I should not yet worry about that, each story arc is while short in structure, will be expected to last a decent amount of time.
I want to stress the fact that each new nation we go to will be a great chance for people to join, or for you to create a new character.

Slot does not equal character limit though, but until I give the okay for people to make more characters, it will be 1 per person

Personality: "Speak softly and carry a big stick." If there were any phrase that could describe Hade, it would be this. He doesn't seek conflict by any means, but when it finds him he blows it up. Hade is ever curious about the ways of Black Magic and seeks to improve himself by journeying throughout the land of Galdria.

Biography: It all started with an explosion. He opened his eyes and was surrounded by fire. Dead soldiers lay around him, the whole forest was on fire, everything was on fire. He climbed to his knees slowly, his hand instinctively sought out his staff to help him get up. He stumbled out of the forest, how he made it out not even he knows. Why was he surrounded by dead bodies? How did he get into that mess in the first place? Who was he? All the answers to those questions burned away along with the rest of the forest. All he had was the clothes on his back, his staff, and a name. Hade.

Over the next few weeks he learned a bit about himself as things began to come back to him. He knew much about the art of Black Magic, he had attended some sort of college for Black Mages at some point, but most importantly he could make money off of his skills. He spent a few months slaying random monsters for towns and fighting off bandits for Gil, saving up enough to pay for food and inns for the foreseeable future. But there was something missing in his life. Purpose. Hade decided that he wanted to refine his art further, and become the best Black Mage on Galdria.

His travels have led him to Valennia, where he hopes to find even greater Black Magic.

Spellbook -
Fire III[M7]- A pillar of fire blasts forth that explodes upon impact with any surface. Does fire damage and can leave burns that cause damage over time.
Blizzard III[M7]- Releases a giant spike of ice that chills enemies to the bone. Does ice damage and slows enemies. Enough bursts of ice can freeze enemies in place.
Thunder II[M7]- Massive amounts of lightning arc towards the enemy. Does lightning damage and stuns enemies. Enough thunderbolts can paralyze enemies.
Water II[M7]- Releases an cannonball sized orb of water that impacts enemies with the force of a charging rhino. Does water damage and soaks enemies. Lightning damage deals extra damage while enemy is soaked.
Shatter III[M7]- Releases a giant spike of ice with electricity arcing off of it, shattering upon impact while dealing lightning and ice damage. Has the possible side effect of freezing the enemy in place and then dealing lightning damage over time while the enemy is frozen.
Plasma III[M7]- Releases a large ball of plasma that splatters all over the enemy, dealing fire and lightning damage. Has the possible side effect of paralyzing the enemy and inflicting burns.

Limit Break -
Sharpcast[M10]- Ensures next 4 spells will proc their maximum side effect.
Elemental Chaos[M10]- A orb of random elemental spells, dealing random status effects along with major lighting, fire, and ice damage.
Flare[M15]- An explosion of pure magic, targeting anything in a given area with no questions asked.

Opportunity -
Way of the Black- At critical health the value of Soul is added to Mind.
Voracious Learner- If pitted against another mage, his mind will match theirs if they are stronger. This occurs when enough time has elapsed.
Hades’s Judgement- Upon witnessing an act that angers Hade enough, all opponents will be less inclined to fight him, and may be more liable to flee.

@rivaan Interesting concept, but you may want to rethink your build a little.

More stats does not equal more damage, all the damage mainly comes in from skills. Sure it means you can do more feats relating to the stat, but what stats do is they're your maximum limit for skills. Although it'd be different if you did this knowing that already, since it'd properly reflect your character being a very frail girl with high magical prowess.

I'd just like to inquire on Broken Body, could you give me an example of how it'd work? Considering the explanation is a little unclear.

Calamity's Sneer should be more something along the lines of... "Upon dealing sufficient devastation in a surprise attack, her image becomes that of destructive terror and inspires fear in witnesses. Some may flee, and others may simply lose morale". Since you can do sufficient destruction without high level spells.

"Strike even the Gods", hmmmmmmm. I think you have the opportunity to do something cooler with this. Say in this dire circumstance, she gains access to a new set of spells to represent her Calamity Witch class? Since as is, it's kind of plain.

And Mental Purge will only activate once a battle, generally.

@Sho Minazuki yeah well the idea is that her body's beyond repair at this point so her physical stats cannot advance much. The idea is since she knows she cannot get physically stronger, shes gona pour all her effort in her mental strength. And because physical is blocked at 5 there wwill be way too much wasted points left. so once everything possible is maxed, it gives a use for those points that cannot be used.

And yeah teh idea is that she's a really frail girl that just fires off many different magics. She's artillery more or less raining devastation~ because to hell with the unfair world and it's gods! or at least that's how she thinks.

edit: just noticed the comment on strike the gods. Hmm I need to think of the new set of spells.

I like the addition of 25 spells only for these situations, normally only LB3s can be 25 in power and requirement, but this works fine. It only is unlocked in dire circumstances, which makes up for it being Limit Break in power, but doesn't cost Limit Points.

Entropy inflicts Doom on anyone within the radius but no damage, however they are cured of Doom as soon as they leave the zone. When cast you can cast other spells while it's active.

Everything else is just about okay. Might want something else for Banish Lance. Effectiveness against Divine means effectiveness against Dogmatic origin foes, and there is a very specific power you need to possess for that. The Iconoclasts all possess it, and it's not gained through training or anything. If you want Banish Lance to have that quality, then you can try earning it in-game.

Otherwise, they all look fine.

Would like to note that the number also denotes the size of the attacks too as well as damage, so unlike other RPs that require it to be stated, the size is assumed by the number assigned to the skill.

@Sho Minazuki Thanks guess I will drop the banish lance for now ^^ I was just basing it off the banish from ff6 but that was more or less instant death effect so I tweaked it to go with her hatred of divine. K will work for that later in game! ^^ On a side note... Opening a volcano in let's say a city I suppose indeed counts as calamity xD

Since it's just magic, it'd be to summon a rain of volcanic debris following a volcano about the size of a medium house. Let's not get too unreasonable.
