Personality

Bo sits somewhere between lovable idiot and total jackass. For a fisherman who spends so much time braving the seas, he cannot take anything seriously for the life of him. Considering his demeanor, it's pretty difficult to find Bo with anything other than a stupid smile smeared across his dumb face. But don't let that fool you, this guy's main prerogative in life is to be in control of everything. That's just the way he likes it. Fortunately for him most things end up going his way. For a loudmouthed ass hat, he's pretty good at baiting others into his pace, whether it's through conversation or some exotic spear-play.

Though Bo doesn't seem to care about anyone other than himself, he's quite kind to people who don't give him any reason not to be. It's a special type of kindness though, wherein he treats everyone like a child and maintains a very subtle aura of command. If somebody has to look out for the 'little people' it's definitely going to be the infamous fish-boy with a heart of copper and a tongue sharp enough to cut through paper. He's always looking out for others before looking out for himself.

What bothers Bo more than anything else is when people act like they're on top of the world. He's terrible at following orders, especially when those orders are stupid. This is pretty hypocritical of him and he knows it, but it doesn't stop the guy from dousing arrogant twats in a swathe of sarcasm and belittlement, all while wearing a smug little grin. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he is terrible at taking compliments, however rarely they might come his way. Rather than pump up his ego even more, getting complimented actually makes him doubt himself and stumble over his own words like there's a wad of cotton lodged in his mouth. The more sincere and personal the compliment, the worse it is. Bo is especially bad at dealing with women who don't hate him. He's no stranger to rejection or negativity - It's almost like he sustains himself on it - but when it comes to flirting, he might as well be an Oyster. Even if that's the case, he's always fantasized about being somebody's prince charming. Of course, he'd never admit it.

Strengths

Bo has exceptional balance and excels at activities like acrobatics, climbing, handling large weapons, and swimming. With his lithe body frame and ability to handle pressure without much trouble, this fisherman keeps himself in one piece by shifting the tides of life in his favor. While he can't create water on his own, Bo can freely control liquids around himself as long as their volume is roughly 90% H2O or more. This doesn't work on water in the human body, or that of any living thing. Of course, his real claim to fame is his proficiency with Pole-arms, spears, harpoons, and other elongated weapons. Even when he's not on duty, he carries a long harpoon-like spear on his back at a 45 degree angle. He's awfully apt with the thing, even if it does trip people walking past him occasionally. Combining his attributes together, Bo's a tricky son of a bitch on his own, even more so if he's anywhere near a lake.

Weaknesses

Despite his inherent agility and quick wit, Bo is built like a toothpick and has almost no pain tolerance. He cannot take a hit to save his life and lacks the fortitude to keep moving efficiently if any part of his body is in pain. Although he puts on a brave face, this makes him terrified of little knives and projectiles, considering how quickly they move. The last thing he wants to put up with is a hole in his stomach. If that wasn't terrible enough, Bo does not like blood in the slightest. Even though it's mostly a liquid substance, he can't use his magic to drain corpses like a psychotic vampire, and if he ends up covered in too much of the stuff, he'll start to panic like crazy. He's also too carefree for his own good, but it usually doesn't matter too much.

What were you doing when the princess was kidnapped?

As a fishermen who practically supports his entire family by capturing uh, fish, Bo was present near Gardenia's annual festival with his cart full of various sea creatures. The people of this royal city couldn't get enough of his pristine product, especially since he brought them into the city live and fresh. Do you know how much a sea-food connoisseur will pay for a mussel if you polish the shell a little and say it's magical? Enough. With his occupation keeping him close to the castle at the time of the princess' unfortunate kidnapping, Bo was one of the first people to respond! He just wasn't... All that effective at doing anything productive to save her.

The Hunter, Sparrow the Mighty

Appearance

Sparrow is 4'11", so yes tiny. She is quite skilled at hunting and leather work and commonly will make clothes out of her quarry. She carries a bow, quiver, a short sword (More like a huge knife) and her buckler on her person at all times including a number of straps and pouches for her gear.

Personality

Sparrow is brash, stubborn, and completely and obviously desperate for attention, notoriety, and acknowledgement.
She is fully capable and is witty, skilled, and fearsome, but her clumsiness, her boasting, her temper, her bird, and her size kind of ruin any bit of impressiveness that she might have earned herself. This leaves her in a constant state of frustration. She does mean well and is deeply committed to what she intends to try. When facing a challenge she will keep bashing her head against the wall until the wall breaks. Having faced failure, time and time again, she's better at it then simply giving up. She's not stupid and can be surprisingly devious when it comes to getting what she wants. Her upbringing in a ruthless tribe of hunters that follow a Stamen culture, that acknowledge strength and glory means she is not great when it comes to tact or sensitivity. Her blunt honesty however can be surprisingly refreshing and potentially even more effective than any honey'd words.

Strengths

Having been raced with a ruthless tribe of mountain barbarians near Stamen, Sparrow is a hunter without peer. She claims to be able to shoot the wings off a fly at 100 paces, to be able to track a shark through water, or tame mythic beasts! She also claims to have trophies of those legendary deeds, but no witness has ever supported these claims. With her bow, short blade, leather bound buckler, and arsenal of trappers tools, she can hunt any quarry, turning their skin and organs into enchanted arms and armors that are not only powerful but fashionable. Shes also a regular outdoorswoman, able to thrive in the wild. She hasn't died yet anyway. So that has to count for something.
Among her legendary talents, she rides into battle with her closest companion, a Griffin named Cinnamon. She act's as Sparrow's loyal steed, fearsome monster, and closest friend.

Weaknesses

Aside from the social stigma of being short, loud, and young, Sparrow has a bit of a Napoleon complex, believing she knows and is capable of more than she's actually capable of, and throwing a big tantrum when people either belittle her or don't listen to her. This will make Sparrow attempt to take on challenges that are grossly out of her league. Every time Sparrow tries to look cool, something always ruins it, or she screws up, souring her mood for days on end. Her temper gets the better of her and she will probably screw up more because of it, which makes her more and more frustrated, which makes her worse etc. Additionally her griffin Cinnamon is a literal bird brain. Won't follow basic instructions and gets Sparrow into trouble about as many times as she gets Sparrow out of it.
Cinnamon has a really bad habit of pecking people she likes, or doesn't like. Well anything really.

What were you doing when the princess was kidnapped?

"What do you mean the princess was kidnapped? Do I know anything? Pssshhh no. What are you talking about? I was hunting in the Western Woods for the dreaded Ursa Major! Unsurprisingly, not only did I get the legendary beast, got his paw right here, I was on my way back to town for the festival dragging his carcass for all to see. Just a minor feat for the Greatest Hunter in the Realm! So obviously I would have been on the other side of the city. I mean, if those kidnappers came out through the Western Gate they would have ran right into me and that would have been the end of it lickety split. I mean who could possible escape the greatest pair of eagle eyed- Wha? They were seen going out the Western Gate? Oh. Well, lucky for them, we must have just missed eachother. Obviously. What are doing with those manacles? I told you I didn't see them!"

@Sola - If she could just have some kind of weapon (I did recall a mention of a frying pan which would qualify) then everything else is fine. It'd just be a lil worrying to go on an adventure empty handed!

I tried to balance Cyndyr having extraordinary magic by giving her no formal weapon training, so she won't be pulling off any high guard/longpoint stances or murderstrikes via halfswording any time soon, which is why I left out that she had any sort of weapon. I imagine basic things like a frying pan or a steak knife (or even a butter knife) could be added to Cyndyr's sheet compared to a sword or some sort of polearm (which she would have no idea how to use), since neither of those would require fancy footwork or complex maneuvers and the fact that such objects would be readily available due to her being a maid. Probably a frying pan, most likely, if we want the comedic effect inspired by old cartoons where people would whack each other with frying pans and other objects all the time.
