Callie Johnson

Location: Washington DC, On the Road Again
Skills: N/A

"I think i'd rock the bald look, or the pixie cut pretty well actually." Callie said jokingly towards Veil as she drove them through the tunnel, luckily no one would be able to see them anymore now. Callie leaned forward slightly as she started to feel a bit dizzy, and her stomach started to go into knots again like she wanted to vomit again. Callie coughed slightly as she looked at herself in the rearview mirror her eyes were bloodshot again and veins were visible again. She was going to drive as best as she could without trying to pass out which would be a really horrible thing to happen as well to.

"So once Luna does her vulcan mind meld thing on Jack what then?" Callie asked looking over at Veil for a moment, would they end up going after Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club again she wasnt sure. She also wanted to go back home and go back to sleep as well to she wasnt feeling to well at all right now either, as the thought of taking a little nap sounded like a good idea right now.

Kristina looked down at Echo and then over towards the others, she had no idea what to do when it came to actually helping him as Kris thought about going into the dining room seeing if there was anything that she could do in there. "I'll be inside, if you need me to get you guys anything inside just call out to me alright?" Kris said as she started to make her way towards the inside of the Mutant Underground, though she stopped looking at Zarina talking to herself in some language to Mr. Eyeball as well. She couldnt understand it at all as Kris went inside.

Kristina paused for a moment looking over towards Casper the really weird one and Andy as the two of them talked, she looked at the mess all over the kitchen now. "So is there anything I can do?" Kristina asked looking at the two of them, she had a feeling that asking Casper was probably a really bad idea or something. "I was just going to try and clean up this mess."

"You'd rock a pixie cut. Maybe you could even dye a strand of it, like, bright blue or something to match your powers," Waverley chimed in from the back, though most of her attention was still on watching Jack. Her agonizing headache might've been gone, but her suspicions hung potent in her mind. She figured that engaging in the conversation would be the best way to avoid any suspicion herself, not to mention she actually did think Callie would look good with a pixie cut. She absent-mindedly combed her fingers through her own purple locks, though she didn't tear her eyes away from the front. "I can't imagine cutting mine. Without my hair, what would I talk about at parties?...Well, I guess the fact that I have superpowers, but that might get me hatecrimed..." she pondered, too consumed with her task of watching Jack to contribute to the conversation in any worthwhile way. But when Spark Plug asked about their plans, she got Waverley's full attention for a moment.

"Well, we've gotta find out why Frost wants Sunshine, and if she still wants her, and if she does, we need to - Oh, wait, that was probably more a question for Veil, wasn't it?" Waverley slumped sheepishly back into her seat, shooting a glance to Veil to see what her answer to the question would be. The glance only lasted for a second, though, with her instead shifting to look back at Jack.

Leave it to Sunshine to take an olive branch and light it ablaze. She never cared to see anyones point of view. Staying blissfully ignorant in her own world that she created of black and white where the shade of gray could never exist. Jack was good and could never do wrong, Max was evil and the worlds problems were his fault. It was tiring, even more so when coupled with M-pox. Every time she opened her mouth he strayed further and further away from wanting to try and bargain with the creature that took Illyanas soul. There was however a glimmer of truth to what she said. If the Mutant Underground truly wouldn't help fight for the mutsnt cause then perhaps one day he would try and seek out the X-men. Try and join their ranks, learn how to control his powers better, and help all of mutant kind, regardless of what the Hellfire Club said.

As Max watched Sunshines tantrum grow, he hardly had time to protest as she threw a baseball bat square in his no no square causing him to lurch forward and wince in pain. His knees bent slightly as he looked up and watched karma instantly take over. Sunshine had fallen prey to a trap set either by Pietro or his father in the event of intruders, but ofcourse the walking plague blamed him. "This is your own fault and quite honestly i don't even know if i should help you, or even why. All you do is bitch, and berate at me about how I'm the source of all your problems when you are the one that ended up having me chased by cops! I was fine before you came into my life and if it wasn't for me you'd probably be dead if Jack had anything to say about it! But nooooo you just want to throw all your problems at me and I'm sick of it. So until you can admit you did this to yourself and fell for a lame trap I'm not letting you down! Oh and good luck if you try to kill me because then you'll just die of starvation up in those wires."

Zarina was just looking at the red thing that Magneto had handed to her, and was now wondering how the hell she was even supposed to get to Genosha. She didn't pay much attention to where the place was in her world, and she was not sure if the island would be in the same spot there as it was in this reality anyway. It was so hard to tell how things were for reality differences. Of course her home didn't exactly exist in this place, she didn't think anyway, at least from the limited knowledge that she had of the place. It was so hard to tell what actually was around in this reality after all.

She glanced over to see what was going on with the others, and shrugged her shoulders slightly as she headed back inside, figuring that knowing everything odds were the fact that she'd just get in the way of whatever the hell the others were doing to try and help Echo. Walking inside, she glanced at the others who were in the room, and wondered what it was that they had been doing, "So... What have you all been doing here while there was chaos or whatever outside?" she asked them, the robotic eyeball was just floating along after her.

Sapphire let out a bit of a sigh when Glimpse asked her one question about it. Of course there was a risk. There was always a risk, no matter how careful you were, people made mistakes, that's what made someone human, and all you could do was learn from them. Like for instance, her mind kept flashing to the image of Cayden's death, and how she had royally screwed up helping him, only causing him problems that definitely didn't help and likely helped to cause his death (at least that's how she saw it). Yup, now she was busy trying to save Echo's life without screwing up like that again. Hooray...

"Nothing is ever exact. There is always a risk, no matter what you do. Human error is a thing and it can happen, more often then not it seems like sometimes. I'm not going to lie to you, especially in a situation like this. Anything revolving around surgery or medical is very risky, when there is surgery or something like that... No matter how careful, the risk is big, hence why some people never make it off the surgery table... You need to just be insanely careful when you do it, and we'll be right here to hopefully stop the bleeding before he bleeds out..." she said truthfully to Glimpse, before turning her attention to Echo again. "I'm going to warn you Echo, this probably is going to hurt a bit..."

Jack looked back at those in the backseat, since Veil was clearly trying to crack a joke with Callie about shaving her head, it was enough to make him chuckle slightly at their back and forth. Though he did hear the few other things that Veil was saying, and his mind couldn't help but start thinking about the what if scenario if Max and Sunshine weren't back at the Underground yet, since that was a possibility that was lying in the back of his head. If they weren't there, he wasn't even sure what exactly he would do, but one thing was for sure, it likely wasn't going to end well.

Veil would be the one to blame if that was the case, since everyone seemed so certain that he had been going to hurt Sunshine. That was anything but the truth, but they hadn't seemed to want to listen to him, even though that was the one bit of truth he had been more or less saying. Everything else had been more or less lies of one form or another, even if mixed in with hints of truth to say the least. Yeah no, things were not going to be a pretty picture if Veil had Max teleport Sunshine away, and they weren't back at the Underground.

Echo

Echo took James's hand in his, glad that whatever dick spirit had possessed him had left. An awkward chuckle leaving him as his 'comforting' words offered the potential threat of getting more injured in this process. But Harry wasn't stupid, he knew the risks and knew that there would never be a guarantee that it would go 100% smoothly. Glimpse was his best shot with Sapphire and James at the ready. There was a bit of silence before he finally spoke up. "You know...back at Xaviers I heard tale of another mutant with duplication powers. Man cough the amount of ways this mutation can go is actually quite vast. I heard one of them could absorb his clones and cause cellular regeneration, healing himself by using the clones as patches. Who knows? Maybe I can keep these guys out long enough to learn a trick or two and slowly piece back my nervous system..." Harry let go of his hand, letting it slide off and back down to the dirt beneath him.

His clones were all nearby, close enough if needed but not crowding about. After all it didn't help anyone to have a crowd of nervous Nancy's hovering over them. None had dared to go back, be absorbed, for fear that it could only make things worse. So they waited, and were all silently waiting to help a paralyzed Harry back down if they needed. Harry took a deep breath, exhaling before clapping his hands together and rubbing them. "Alright enough moping about, I won't have any tears shed today. Luna, I have the upmost faith in you that you can do this, James you have an incredible talent and I know you'll do what you can to heal me up, and Sapphire...well you're one of the brightest minds I've had the pleasure of knowing, and I'm sure you'll only grow brighter. I'm in very capable hands here. So Luna, if you would be so kind as to phase out this metal we could all go back to a lovely breakfast I made."

Outside the Mutant Underground HQ -

Everyone will hear the garage door open and close, but no one will have seen a car pull up - this in itself isn't unusual though, given that Veil was with the away team.

Casper Theriot

Location: Mutant Underground: Dining Room
Skills: Mediumship
"Ben's my friend - and a pain in the ass, he seems to think that I lack basic responsibility and hygiene," Casper explained to Andy, rolling his eyes at the ghost in question. He loved having Ben around, but sometimes he was a complete and total nag. Ben never appreciated the lifestyle Casper led, claiming that he was "wasting" his time on Earth. It was like being the kid of someone who almost won the local beauty pageant and now expected you to win the title for them.

"You do lack basic responsibility and hygiene. If it weren't for Jack, James and me, you'd be dead," Ben pointed out frankly.

"Wait, so why did you not call yourself Sparky Sparky Boom Man, er, Woman?" Casper asked Andy, his eyes wide. "Have you never seen Avatar the Last Airbender? Do you know about our lord and savior, Prince Zuko? Have you never sung Secret Tunnel as loud as you can while high off your ass with mint oreos taped to your nipples?" he asked her seriously. By the way he was reacting, it was like Andy told him she had never heard of Star Wars or something like that.

Kristina then came in, asking if there was anything she could do. "Yes, you can explain to her the joys of Avatar the Last Airbender, pronto! This is priority number one!" The other new kid, the one with the green hair, then came in. "Have you seen Avatar?"

Veil

Location: Mutant Underground Garage
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation
Veil groaned, reading the text that came in from James. She banged her head softly up against the seat in front of her, wishing that she could take an icepick and give herself a lobotomy. She had a working theory in mind as to what all had happened. Emma Frost messed with Jack to distract them, leaving the Mutant Underground vulnerable so Magneto could go in and grab Polaris. She prayed that everyone back there was fine. James' text hadn't indicated any serious injuries, but with Magneto involved... it would have been surprising if everyone came out unscathed. "Magneto attacked while we were out. They were after Polaris. This whole thing was probably a set up by Frost to keep us away from the base," she explained to everyone.

The car then pulled up to the Mutant Underground and Spark Plug would be able to park in the garage with ease. "Everyone with me," she ordered. She wasn't going to let Jack out of her sight until Glimpse verified that he was no longer a threat. She stopped cloaking the car, since there was no way they could have been followed by this point, and the machine (and its passengers) became fully visible again. "They're all outside. We might need to assist with any injured," she then added. She got out of the car, and waited for the others to head on out. If it hadn't been for the Jack issue, she would have just gone on ahead.

Sunshine

Location: Island M, the Bermuda Triangle
Skills: Survival, Greek
Sunshine was dangling in the rope trap about a foot or so below the ceiling - she was nine feet off the ground. There wasn't anything within her reach that she could use to cut herself free. She felt her pockets, hoping that she had something useful, but they were entirely empty. She realized that Jack must have taken her things, but she didn't want to give Max the satisfaction of being right. Maybe the Marshmallow had been up to no good. Unfortunately though, Sunshine would rather die in a rope cage than admit to Max of all people she had been wrong.

"Why would I kill you? You're the murderer, not me!" Sunshine snapped at Max. She turned her attention upwards, figuring that maybe she could ruin the knot that was keeping her suspended on the ceiling. She didn't think Max would do anything to get her out of there - well, it was more that she didn't want his help. Every time she looked at him, all of her anger for Erg's death came rushing back to her. She forced herself into a semi-crouched position, pushing her head out through one of the gaps in the rope cage, and she tried to bite the rope keeping her suspended, figuring that she could chew her way out. The rope cage was twisting and turning slightly with each movement she made, with there being a nonzero probability that she would end up killing herself with this stunt.

"Ηλίθιος γαμημένος καθαρός, ηλίθιος γαμημένος Max," she cursed in Greek, spitting slightly. Her mouth tasted like rope.

Andy had never seen Avatar. She was very lost with what the guy in the mini-skirt was talking about this time. She turned her attention to Kristin and Zarina. "Well I punched the guy causing the Earthquakes till he stopped causing the Earthquakes. Got hit with some shrapnel bits, but nothing too bad. Then I came inside to find my jacket, which had been picked up by the magnetism I guess. It's like my own personal warning system. I'm going to make a point of not zipping it in the future so if any more magnetic people show up they can't pick me up as that lady did with the car yesterday. I didn't stick around after that cause I wasn't going to fight the guy with fire or any of those flying." Andy said.

"What about you Zarina, what did you do?" Andy hadn't really seen what Zarina did, since it seemed she was inside when Zarina was outside and vice-versa. "Kristin I felt bad you were caught up in that firestorm. But I hate fire so I was not getting anywhere near that. I'll help you clean." Andy started help move debris from the table and around. She didn't know enough about building engineering to know if they would still be safe here or if they would have to worry about the building collapsing. Who knew how much damage Avalanche had done before she had been able to knock him out. Though it felt good, she thought, to have been able to go toe-to-toe with the guy. Especially after yesterday and the one guy had been so hard to take down.

"Dyeing my hair isnt really my thing though honestly." Callie said towards Waverly as she continued to drive the car until they were a lot closer towards the Underground. She didnt like the idea that Magneto ended up coming to the Underground it was suppose to be their hideout and no one was suppose to find out about their recent move. "How did Magneto find out about our new home anyway?" Callie asked, looking over at Jack for a moment wondering if he involuntarily gave away that information or not. Just as they started to get into the garage of the Underground's garage however Callie started to feel really dizzy.

As soon as she got out Callie stumbled slightly looking over at Veil for a moment, her M-Pox symptoms started to get a lot worse now as she vomited some more blood. "I puked out some more ketchup." Callie said giggling slightly as she lost her balance and leaned herself against the side of the car and started to giggle some more.

Kristina went to sit down for a moment and winced slightly touching some of the burns on her chest while looking down at her burnt clothes, she turned to look up at Casper for a moment. "I never really did get into Avatar the Last Airbender really to be honest. Though my sister Maria grew up watching that show and really liked it quiet a bit though." Kristina said as she turned to look at Andy as she apologized for not helping out with her fight against Pyro, and shrugged slightly. "It's alright I hurt him pretty badly so i'm sure he learned his lesson to not mess with me."

She then turned to Zarina as she came into the room. "I took out the pyromaniac actually." Kris said smiling slightly as she looked down and started to help out with cleaning the mess on the ground. Kris turned to look up at Casper for a moment, the guy did seem pretty weird actually. "So, are you always high or on something right now?" Kris finally asked wondering if there was actually something going on there.

James Kingston

Skills: Healing Factor (Transmittable)

James could barely stand the anticipation as Luna started to phase the metal out of Echo. He’d never seen someone phase something before but it was interesting, horrible circumstances be damned. Watching her slide the metal out like James wasn’t even there was a weird experience but before he knew it, it was his turn. All he could do was hope Echo’s confidence in him wasn’t entirely misplaced. Hopefully, he could live up to his promise.

James placed his hands on Echo and breathed in and out, letting himself fall into the familiar feeling of syncing up. He was almost surprised by how much fight there was left in Echo. His heart still beat strong, lungs worked properly, and he could feel everything in himself so poignantly, no encroaching numbness that scared him. Except there was an unfamiliar sensation in his back and then nothing past that. It was another type of unsettling, one that felt just as permanent as the chilling void of death, but at least it wasn’t death. He felt bone and muscle and flesh stitch slowly back together, struggling to fit back exactly like it was. James found himself trying to hold his breath as he waited and focused on everything settling right. It was far more exhausting than anything else he’d healed before. Even Luna had been arguaby easier, the actually wounds little more than ruptured flesh, not a fucking spine.

By the time everything seemingly clicked back into place and James was released, he felt himself trembling and he let himself collapse onto the ground next to Echo. He sat there, catching his breath and wiping away the sweat on his forehead. “Next time, can you just ask the villain to please stab you in the side or something? So much easier to heal.” James joked weakly as he slowly caught his breath. “Actually, just tell them to stab me. I’m fucking bullet proof now apparently. Bet a magnetic shiv won’t do much either.”

"Yeah, I get that. It's not for everybody," Waverley commented, continuing to comb her fingers through her her purple hair. Making casual conversation helped make it feel less like she was suspiciously watching her teammate, and more like she was simply engaging with her friends. And it seemed to work externally as well, as no one appeared to notice her staring. The conversation got less casual, though, when Veil dropped the bomb on what had happened while they were gone. Waverley wasn't sure she'd heard her right at first. She took her eyes off of Jack for a second, looking over to Veil with her eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Magneto?! The Magneto?! Oh man, holy shit, this is fucked! This is super fucked!" Waverley mumbled out, slumping back in her seat. They'd had run-ins with some baddies, but Magneto? Magneto was a certified super villain. If she'd told her seventeen-year-old self that she'd be part of a team going toe to toe with Magneto, she would have laughed...and then had a panic attack. Even as it was, she could feel one coming on, but before it good dig its claws into her, she began taking deep breaths to sooth herself as they pulled into the Underground base.

It made sense why they staged a kidnapping. But why Sunshine? There were easier targets they could've taken.mThe new kids, Casper, Waverley herself, all of them would be easier to kidnap than Sunshine "Ready-To-Stab-A-Bitch-At-Any-Given-Moment" James. Not to mention the fact that they had her father do it. If it hadn't had been for Waverley waking up while Jack was doing the deed, they might've assumed the pair just went out for ice cream, and might've just waited for them to come back. Something...something didn't fit. But as she watched Veil step out of the van, followed by Callie, it snapped into place. She quickly followed the two out, gluing her eyes back on Jack through the car window as she did.

"Guys, guys, I got it," she spoke quickly, wanting to get her theory out before Jack got out of the car. If he was still tethered to Frost, she didn't want him to hear her crack the case. She huddled up close to Veil and Callie, before promptly backing up a few feet when Callie hurled blood onto the cement floor. "...We probably shouldn't've let you drive like that. But that doesn't matter. What does matter is this: I think they took Sunshine because they're afraid of her. I mean, think about it: she wouldn't be the easiest to kidnap, and using Jack to kidnap her wasn't a great idea in terms of raising suspicion either. The only reason to do it would be to...to make sure Sunshine didn't try to escape! To make her feel safe, so she wouldn't run back to the Underground and disrupt their plan! There must be some aspect of her power they're afraid of...but what could it be?"

Zari had no idea what sort of cringe fest and chaos she had just walked into, since it sounded way whacked out to her, and it seemed to center around the one guy who tended to talk to himself, and also was just weird and crazy in general in her opinion. He was going on about something, some show or whatever it was that he just was not shutting up about. She had a confused look on her face when Casper mentioned a tv show, having no idea what that show even was. "I have no idea what show you are talking about, I don't typically mess with that sort of thing anyway unless I'm trying to repair it out of boredom, so no, I've never seen this "Avatar" show that you are talking about..."

Her attention turned towards Andy, and she shrugged slightly, "The chaos had more or less died down, I just asked them who they were, since I had no idea, and the guy in the red helmet or whatever gave me this," she said, holding up the red thing in her hands still. She didn't mention Genosha though, since that was something very few of the group would probably truly understand, aside from maybe Veil. She'd see about talking to her later about it or something, maybe anyway, she wasn't too sure if she wanted to really talk with anyone about it.

Sapphire wasn't too sure about this, or the compliments or whatever that Echo was just handing out. She wasn't sure this was actually going to work, and part of her had thought about maybe waiting until Veil got there. He was her brother after all, and she would have felt horrible if Echo ended up dying completely from his injury or something and Veil hadn't been there to at least say something to him. That would have been a horrible feeling and she would have felt like she was responsible if Echo had ended up dead, or even just paralyzed from the waist down.

She was glad though when everything seemingly went as good as it possibly could have, and Echo seemed like he was going to be alright. "Seems like you are going to be just fine, don't worry about it, you should take it easy for a little while, just to be entirely sure, and James you look like you need to go crash for a few hours, or probably longer, since I doubt you'll be on your feet or whatever based on how you look... So you both go take it easy, and see about taking a nap or something, I'll see about going to talk to Veil about what just happened here, they should be back now or so..." she said, as she stood up now, giving Echo a slight smile, something she usually didn't do, and walked back inside to try and see if Veil and them were back.

Jack wasn't too sure what to think when Veil mentioned the whole Brotherhood having showed up at the Underground. Of course, that did give him a bit of an out with having to try and come up with some explanation for what Emma Frost would make him kidnap Sunshine, since everyone else seemed bent on thinking that it was so that Magneto could get his daughter with other people being distracted by his nonsense or whatever it was that the others considered it. That was good, lying only got you so far if you couldn't come up with a convincing story to back it up.

"That might be it, I don't know what the reasonings or whatever could be, but that sounds like the most likely scenario..." he admitted with a slight shrug as he got out of the car after it pulled up at the Underground. He wasn't entirely all that surprised when Veil flat out said that everyone was to stick with her, given their current situation. Of course Jack would have preferred to get away from Veil or whatever, but he figured he wasn't going to be able to at this point, he glanced towards the door of the garage as Sapphire walked into the room and looked at Veil.

"I don't know what it is that James messaged you or how much of the situation he explained, but just so you know at this point that there was only one serious injury that occurred. Don't worry though we got it sorted out. Your brother is going to live and will retain the use of his legs," she said rather bluntly, figuring it was a decent idea to just flat out say it.

Max rolled his eyes at Sunshine as se dangled in the air calling him a murderer. "At most it was manslaughter. You try going on a mission with no plan and see how well it goes! Things are bound to do wrong and people are bound to mess up. But we live and we learn and we try to move on! But all you seem to be able to do is cling to the past and get weighed down by it. Memento Mori and all that shit." Max began to roam about the room, looking at all the odds and ends that Pietro had collected, walking softly in a small circle. He didn't dare touch anything after what happened to Sunshine. After a few moments he began to hear an odd sound, looking up to see Sunshine gnawing at the rope like a plague infested rat trying to break through. He stood back and watched for a moment before realizing that they were wasting time and she would never apologize for who she is.

He let out a large sigh and followed the rope. Checking to see how Pietro would disarm it and realized that with all things in life it involved speed. Great. Max tried to find another way, seeing the soft mattress and deciding that would be the best bet for her escape. He grabbed the corners and dragged the moldy thing under her, dropping it with a thud as some dust kicked up from thr disgusting thing. "I can't believe I'm doing this" Max grumbled under his breath as he conjured up a sharp dagger to help cut her free. The M-Pox had really done a number on his mind, fogging it just enough to make him forget he could've simply conjured it in her hand. He had also forgotten his levitation that he had only moments before done instinctualy. So instead he opted to throw the sharp dagger at Sunshine, it going up and barely reaching the halfway point before falling down and imbedding into the mattress. "damn it...hold on"

The sensation was weird. Like a high powered vibrator placed on his spine that sent pulses along his back. He still couldn't feel his legs but there was a presence there, a tingling sensation of pins and needles as Glimpse reached down inside him. "Normally I'd ask for dinner first" He joked as his voice vibrated as if speaking through a fan. Even after she had pulled out the piece the feeling lingered, his body tingling as he felt a soothing wave now hit him. It felt so...personal. The connection he had with James as he felt his body repair itself. Feeling flowed back into his lower half, his legs tensing then relaxing, calves pulsing back to life and finally his big toe wiggling. "Thank you Uma Therman." The words left silently as the dirt blew away from his mouth. There was pause as James and Sapphire said their pieces, the latter leaving them.

Echo exhaled a long draft of air before pushing himself off the ground and attempting to stand up. His legs caved a bit from the numbness and his clones immediately rushed to his aid, holding him up and helping him get the feeling back. "Seriously, thank you guys so much. You have no idea how much this means to me. Now if you'll excuse me I have a sister to dote on and some food to eat. Boys?" The clones acted like crutches, helping him take his steps one at a time as the shock of pins rushed through him with each step. By the time he made it to the garage and saw his sister, most of the feeling was back now and the blood flow going. He ran towards her collapsing in her as he hugged her tight and began to cry. "I just wanted to say that I love you and am so glad you're ok." He gave her a tight squeeze before standing up and clearing the tears. "I'm gonna go check on the food and kids."

Let's get this wrapped up folks. Once we resolve the Jack situation, we'll be moving onto the next episode - I'm itching to move on and get to the good stuff!

Casper Theriot

Location: Mutant Underground: Dining Room
Skills: Mediumship
"Why does everyone always think that I'm high?" Casper whined. "I'm sober. Look, I can prove it even, ask me a math problem! Anything that a third grader could do. Nothing more advanced than that, I'm not Einstein, and believe me the public schools in New Orleans were not that great... Wait, Ben, did I even go to public school? Or did I just block it all out?" he asked his ghostly companion.

"You skipped most days," Ben reminded him. "And you were expelled for putting laxatives in the food for the junior prom."

Casper snickered, remembering how much fun that had been. He wasn't usually a prankster sort, but one of his friends had talked him into it. They had done some edibles, showed up to prom, and decided to make an epic event out of it. So many people had been wearing white dresses or tuxedos going in - so many were in a lovely shade of brown as they left. He stumbled slightly backwards and took a seat at the table, brushing some debris off of the table and letting it hit the ground. His head was pounding like nobody's business and each laugh hurt, but he couldn't help himself. It was too good a memory to look back on.

"Wait, who gave you that? I wasn't paying attention," he asked Zarina, coming back to reality.

"Magneto!" Ben shouted in Casper's ear. Casper jumped and fell out of the chair, hitting the ground hard and bruising up his elbow.

"Damn it Ben, rude!" Casper complained.

Veil

Location: Mutant Underground Garage
Skills: Quebecois
Veil snapped to attention as Callie produced some homemade ketchup and fell into a giggling fit. She didn't understand M-Pox at all. One moment, people seemed fine and normal - the next, they were ready to be sent into the loony bin, as if they were at the mercy of some plague god who was rolling the dice just to see what would happen. "Deep breaths, okay?" she urged her friend. Her eyes were on Spark Plug as Feedback talked, yet Veil listened intently to her theory. Sunshine's primary ability was to spread disease. With the M-Pox crisis raging on, she could understand why some people would be afraid of the teenager. "You might be onto something, Feedback. I imagine Glimpse might be able to find the answer in Jack's mind..."

She trailed off at Sapphire's jarring news. What had gone on exactly with Echo since they left? "What... His legs...," she began to ask. Only seconds later, her twin brother showed up, rushed her, and began squeezing her tightly. She studied his face, seeing the wetness of his eyes, and Veil hugged him back. "Je t'aime aussi1" Veil mumbled to her twin. She was a private person with emotions, and at least not everyone around spoke French. "Après ça, nous allons parler, d'accord2?" she then added. It wasn't a request.

"Where's Glimpse? Sapphire, can you grab her and get her in here ASAP?" Veil then asked. "And James too, someone needs to get Spark Plug sorted. Then I want everyone together to debrief what happened."

Sunshine

Location: Island M, the Bermuda Triangle
Skills: Survival
"Was it an accident when you joined the people who killed Erg?!" Sunshine shouted down at Max. Bits of twine and whatnot were stuck in her teeth from her attempts to gnaw herself free from the rope cage. And as much as she wanted out, she wasn't going to let Max have the final word in the argument. If joining the people who murdered Erg was how Max moved on from the past, then Sunshine was perfectly happy to cling to it. Her eyes widened slightly as he summoned a knife and threw it at her... and missed pathetically. "Seriously?! You throw like a Barbie!" Sunshine shouted.

"Are you trying to make a fool of yourself? Because with the fancy clothes and the stupid hair and the drooling over people and setting everything on fire, it really seems like it. It's not that hard to throw things and hit your target! If you're throwing the knife at me, you have to mean it, damn it Max! Look at my forehead, visualize the knife hitting it, and then fucking throw it and kill me. And if you can't do that, then you're more of a loser than I thought." Sunshine then went back to gnawing on the rope, confident that Max would miss again.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Outside -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy

There was nothing in this world that wasn’t done without the element of risk and with Sapphire’s words, Luna was just going to have to bite the bullet and do it. She was still feeling okay so with the encouragement from Echo who barely knew her, Luna knelt and set her hand over the entry point and shut her eyes. It was a bit of a weird sensation, having to locate the piece of metal like she herself was Magneto or James being able to sense the body and how it worked but miracle upon miracle, she was able to do it. The metal came out of Echo and plopped into Luna’s hand. She examined it closely before she gave it to Echo, a memento of sorts if he wanted to keep it.
Luna looked at Sapphire when she mentioned going to look for Veil. Veil had messaged James telling him that she needed Luna when they returned and so she figured she would go with Sapphire to find Veil as well.
”I’ll come with you,” she said to Sapphire and stood. She made ready to follow but paused a moment and looked back at James and Echo. Echo started to get up a bit shakily but his clones helped him and then he was gone, leaving her and James. Luna went over and sat on the ground a moment and hugged James. It was a bit awkward with him laying on the ground but she didn’t much care.
”Time to take care of yourself. Don’t make me play nurse. I don’t think I have the same delicate touch as you,” she joked with her friend before she stood and left.
Luna walked slowly, seeming to think she was going to get weaker at any moment. The virus had really messed with her psyche and Luna didn’t know how long her upswing was going to last. She eventually entered the Underground and found Veil with the away team and Sapphire and Echo.
”Right here, what is it you need, boss?” Luna asked and looked over the others.

"I need you to do a psi-scan of Jack. Look for any evidence of mind control, telepaths, whatever. Emma Frost may have been controlling him."

Luna looked over at Jack curiously, wondering what he had gotten himself into. It probably had something to do with Waverley freaking out earlier, saying that Jack had kidnapped his daughter. Which, Sunshine wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Max either. Luna had more questions now than answers but she knew if Veil was asking something of her it was to be done now, not after a Q and A.
Luna turned and faced Jack. ”It will be more comfortable if you stay relaxed,” she told him. He looked normal so hopefully he wasn’t under any mind control currently and could make her way within his head. She shut her eyes, concentrating on Jack and lifted her hand once she was centered and ready. She still had a dull headache from the M-Pox but it was easier to ignore compared to bleeding from the ears and not being able to focus on anything.
She was able to connect with Jack easily enough and found evidence of mind tempering but not from who Veil thought. Luna broke the connection smoothly, dropping her hand and looked at Jack curiously, remembering their time back at the Cherry Bomb where they first discovered Mister Sinister and Jack’s past.
”Well, his mind has been tampered with but not by Frost. It was by Mister Sinister back in September,” Luna revealed.

Callie Johnson

Location: Mutant Underground - Garage
Skills: N/A

"Dont tell me what to do you arent my mom!" Callie said pouting slightly at Veil telling her to take deep breathes as she then decided to lean against Waverly. She started to really kind of tune out everything going on around her instead she decided to turn her attention towards Waverly focusing on her hair. "When did you have purple spaghetti for hair?" Callie asked as she started to try and take a bite out of Waverly's hair just as the others started to come in.

"Hiiii guys we had a lot of fun." Callie said drunkenly waving at Echo, Sapphire and Luna as she turned to Veil and shook her head slightly. "I dont like doctors they are reallllly annoying." Callie said, before vomiting onto the ground again letting out a slight groan not really caring if she ended up getting some of her bloody vomit onto her shoes or pants.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mutant Underground - Dining Room
Skills: N/A

Kristina looked at Casper for a moment and gave him a slight shrug, she still thought that he was actually on something still, but that wasnt really her call to make at all either. She turned to look at Zari for a moment she pulled out her phone she did occasionally watch some shows on Netflix in between classes. "I have Netflix on my phone, I could let you watch something on there if you want." Kristina offered towards Zari and smiled towards her as she continued to clean somewhat as well.

Kristina looked at the red token thing that Magneto had given her, she did remember him mentioning something about Genosha. "I think he mentioned something about finding a place called Genosha for mutants or something like that." Kris said looking over at Casper answering his question. "I wonder if the others are back yet." Kris said mainly to herself it had been awhile since the team had left to try and find Sunshine and Jack.

Andy looked at the token that Zarina was showing her. It looked like it was a piece of red shaped metal. It didn't mean anything to her. "Weird. The old guy was Magneto. He basically is the leader of all the mutants that cause the most trouble. They hate normal people. I've never heard of Genosha." She shrugged. She never interacted with anyone who followed Magneto before, let alone the man himself, well before today. She thought about it, before yesterday. Since some of the people, today had been people from yesterday.

She set back to helping clean up. "I do not know what to make of that guy." She shook her head and spoke under her breath to Zarina and Kristina. He had been startled by something, supposedly the Ben person, and fallen out of his chair. Her past experiences told her to avoid people who talked to themselves like this guy did. But it wasn't her group running the joint. She was just passing through to somewhere warmer.

Waverley gave a small nod when Veil voiced the soundness of her theory, her lips twitching up into a smile. As much as she tried to hide it, she could feel the joy such validation caused bubbling up inside her, causing her to lightly bounce on her heels. The excitement simmered down, though, when others of the mutant Underground begun to file in. She stood awkwardly to the side as Echo embraced Veil, sharing quiet words, only some of which Waverley could understand. For once, she was glad that she hadn't paid much attention in her high school French class. She already felt intrusive, and she didn't even understand what they were saying. Thankfully, and also disgustingly, Callie served as a distraction, beginning to nibble on Waverley's locks.

"Um, Callie, bud, let's maybe try practicing a little personal space, yeah?" Waverley suggested, leaning away from Spark Plug as she chewed on her hair. As soon as the blonde pulled her mouth away from her hair to vomit, she took a large step back. "Especially when you're vomiting your guts up." Her attention then turned to Sapphire, perking up as Veil asked the woman to go fetch James and Luna, seconds prior to Luna coming into the picture.

"Oh, and could you please get Sunshine too while you're at it?" She didn't have anything she actually needed from Sunshine, other than to make sure she was okay. But she figured that was enough. She then looked over to Luna, watching her mentally assess Jack, before pulling away with an answer. One that made her jaw drop. "Wait...September? He's had a mental worm in his brain for..." she had to pause a few seconds, quietly mumbling numbers as she did the math. "...for five months? That's...fucking not good at all. Can we fix it?...And what would Mister Sinister want with Sunshine? Is he trying to clone her?"

"James I think needs a bit of rest since he's looking worse then your brother is right now, at least since I last saw him a few minutes ago," Sapphire said to her with a shrug. She personally didn't think that James was going to be much help for anyone, since yeah, he could heal people, but how useful was that when he was out of breath and looked like crap? She didn't like James at all, she didn't hide that fact, but she found it hard not to admit the fact that he was useful to have around. And made her job a hell of a lot easier.

"I mean just letting you know I don't really care much for telepaths or anyone messing with my head, but eh, not like I have a choice in the matter, so go for it," he said to Luna with a bit of a smile, clearly seeming to relax like she had told him to. This was all just a bit of a game to him, that was the truth, since he currently was bored, and some people were just being annoying in his brain currently. Waverly was being a weirdo, and clearly getting way too suspicious of him or whatever, but at this point he didn't really care too much about it.

Sapphire raised an eyebrow a bit when Glimpse revealed what was going on with Jack's head. That certainly wasn't good, and her attention quickly shifted to Waverly asking about Sunshine. "Uh... Weren't you supposed to be bringing her back? I mean you brought back half of the two people you were going after, that being Jack... And wasn't the walking disaster with you? Sunshine isn't here, and neither is he, so mind telling me what the hell happened? And why did you think that she was here? Since I am insanely confused as to what you are going on about."

Jack thought that Waverly was being beyond stupid in her thoughts, and he was a bit annoyed that Glimpse clearly revealed what actually was potentially going on or something. But in truth he really didn't believe what she was saying for some reason. He didn't think his father had done anything. In response, he started trying to mess with Glimpse's mind, but her mental defenses were too high for him to get through. Oh well. There was always the direct approach...

So he punched her in the face and broke her nose, knocking her backwards.

He didn't hesitate though to turn his attention elsewhere, towards the annoying brat who was really dumb with regards to everything, "Did you know you are an idiot?" he asked Waverly simply, before his arm went flying out, stretching and slamming squarely into her forehead. There was a crack as he did so, and the force knocked her to the floor. That wasn't the only thing though, as the crack it turns out was from him cracking her head open and she was bleeding a lot from it. His arm jolted back and he backed away slightly.

Sapphire had to stop herself from essentially having her jaw drop, "Jack what the hell?????" she personally didn't like Glimpse or Waverly, but she didn't think either one deserved that.

"They were bugging me," he responded simply as he dusted off his jacket slightly and was glaring right at Veil, "Now, mind telling me where Sunshine is?"

"...What's Netflix?" she instantly asked a bit curiously, looking at Kristina. Zari had no idea what that even was, considering where she grew up for the most part. Mentally, she added that to her list of things she needed to learn about this reality, since she had no idea what that was, also on that list was what the hell cops were and other things she's encountered so far in this world. Of course, that list was starting to grow immensely, so she might need some help from others to fully understand it. "And what does it have to do with phones? Is it something you get online or something like that?"

Zari was keeping the token close to her, since she didn't really want to lose it or give it up to anyone. This was her ticket to the place that she needed to go, to Genosha, and she really wanted to keep it nearby. If she lost that, there was a chance she'd never be able to easily get there, and where would that leave her? It didn't matter though, one thing was for sure, she was going to keep her mouth shut for the moment about what exactly Genosha means to her. When Andy whispered to her and Kristina, Zari just shrugged slightly, "I mean, I don't know what would be normal, but he's kind of funny to me," she whispered back with a slight giggle.

James Kingston

Location: Outside -> Garage
Skills: N/A

James gave a half hearted salute to everyone as they left and he took the time to relax outside on the ground. What the hell had his life become? He did not sign up to face down powerful and dangerous people who kept insisting on crippling and killing the members of the Underground. How did they even get to this point? Their whole job was to help mutants escape persecution. Yet somehow, it felt like they were quickly turning into a small militia. They’d faced down Sinister, the others dealt with Polaris and Pyro trying to find a scientist, James and his team had to beat up a bunch of Purifiers while almost all of them were infected, and now Magneto had come calling. Great look for a relief group.

James sighed at the thought and focused on the sun on his face and the ground beneath him. He really ought to do this more often. It felt nice not to be thinking about the next thing, the next project, the next whatever nonsense they were going to be inevitably pulled into. Speaking on nonsense… James pulled himself up from the ground with a groan, feeling himself ache in places he didn’t realize could, and shook the dirt off his back. The team was back with Jack and Glimpse had probably poked through his head already so he should probably go check up on Sunshine. His legs protested but he made his way inside eventually. He felt like he could nap for the next nine hundred years. Yeah, he was definitely putting a nap on the to do list.

What he found in the garage was… honestly another day at the Underground. Waverly was bleeding, Spark Plug else had vomited if the smell was any indication, and things seemed a little tense. “So, uh, what’s up?” James asked, not really sure where to start with whatever shitstorm he just walked into.

Maximillian Gray

Location: Island M the Bermuda triangle.
Skills: Levitation ConjurationNew Outfit

More and more Sunshine began to prove his point about her. Max wondered if it would literally kill her to lay someone a compliment, or to at the very least be nice. He took a step forward to go pick up the knife, the world began spinning around him. Every step difficult, every one done in a drunken lazy manner. As one foot crossed over the other he eventually made it to the knife, grabbing it firmly in his hand before standing absolutely still. As he tried to focus on the task at hand his ear began to bleed ones more. The thick red icor slowly driving down the sides and down his neck. Max stood still, the only movement was his swaying as he worked to push down the upcoming bile and blood in his throat.

When he finally won the battle and swallowed it down, Max began to focus on a new task. Getting up to Sunshine. Muttering a few words, he began to levitate upwards gaining height until he met with the top of the net where it met into a singular spot. Max gripped the knife tightly as he gave confident strokes, each one tearing into the trap more than the last. The rope fraying and splitting until finally she fell down with a loud thud. He unceremoniously allowed himself to drop, lowering further and further down until his feet hit the floor beneath him and he landed just before Sunshine. "You may need this." he slurred as he dropped the knife before her. The M-pox mustve really gotten to him if he thought giving her a knife when they were alone was a good idea.

Echo

Location: Mutant Underground
Skills: Self Multiplication

Echo gave his sister a nod as she asked to speak to him later. "bien sûr." He turned to walk away, the slowness from having to regain his blood and feeling in his limbs keeping him there just in time to see Jack to absolutely mental. Breaking Glimpses nose, knocking Waverly so hard she fell back on her head. His eyes went wide in shock as he looked upon in horror. They had just escaped one blood bath, he was not about to enter another. "Terry go get James, Waverly needs immediate attention!" Terry began to run away towards James as Echo growled his next words. "You. You won't harm another member of this underground!" Harrys blood boiled in anger as a laser began to manifest and then suddenly a thud. Terry had been been knocked out mid run. Larry watched half amused half in rage as he simply mentioned he'd get James and ran off and immediately saw the man standing there confused.

"Waverly needs immediate attention, Jack hit her hard and she went straight to the ground." Echo belted out in frustration, clinging to the waves produced and condensing them into a single beam that skimmed Jacks head, buzzing his hair off. He wasn't exactly sure what to do. Jack could be under Sinisters control, or this could just be a bad bloodline, either 3ay he needed to be stopped not killed. "pouvez-vous le piéger dans une bulle?" Harry stood on by as he thought of how to handle this situation, ready to fight Jack if needed. "Boys, lets harmonize."
