”To this worlds inhabitants, who fear the prevalence of evildoers, there is a purpose to us being here!!!
The "Justice" known as Morality shall not be destroyed!!!”

INTRODUCTION

Jollies and Justice is a One Piece RP where you, the players, will take the role of new marine recruits. In this world, unlawfulness fills the seas, and your goal will be to gradually grow in strength and help the Marines enforce justie and creep back into the Grand Line, then later on to the New World. It'll mostly be PVE with the participants' actions helping to flesh the story out. This will be a Mission-Based RP that will follow a general overlying plot. However, given the choices you make and the results of these missions, the story might change. So yeah, in a way, its somewhat Player-Driven as well. You'll be given lists of missions and tasks to choose from that will vary in terms of objectives; some will be simple and easy, but others would require planning and roster management.

PREMISE

This story takes place after the Silver Age of Monkey D. Luffy as Pirate King and “The Hero” Coby as Fleet Admiral. Following an age of romanticism, adventure and relative peace, this age is a fairly dark one. This new age of piracy came along with it new waves of pirates, criminals, and outlaws, ravaging the seas like never before. The Tenryuubito, frightened with the changes in time and the world below them, sought security and protection. With a mutual agreement with the Gorousei, they ordered the World Government to announce that the last stronghold of justice, the Marines, were to flee and begin to rebuild themselves within the confines of the Red Line; thus leaving the Four Seas lawless and unprotected, their only option being to fend for themselves as best they can. Separating themselves from the rest of the world, the ties of the World Government and Tenryuubito with individual kingdoms slowly disappeared.

If one would think that without an organization to protect and govern over the seas, crimes and other unlawful acts would send the world into a complete state of pandemonium ruled by pirates, they would be right. Yet silently in the shadows, was the reformation of the Marines under the leadership of two uncanny individuals; “Black Leg” Vinsmoke Sanji and “Pirate Hunter” Roronoa Zoro. Despite their age and unique rivalry, their names and reputation provided enough influence, rallying many to their cause.

Marineford now stands in the East Blue as the world’s last bastion of Justice.

Given their lack of sufficient manpower and resources, they have opened their doors to not only former marine officers, but other individuals from all walks of life, be it ex-pirates, reformed criminals, or bounty hunters. Banding together to achieve one common goal, all hope to prevent the world from plunging into complete chaos. Your role in this story is to play a freshly enlisted recruit who will eventually rise through the ranks of the organization. To cater the unique relationship of their current leaders and in hopes of maximizing their abilities, the marines have been divided into two divisions. The naval military led by Sanji, and the mercenaries led by Zoro. The former is considered the strategic development force of the Marines and are more structured when it comes to missions and tasks given to them. Those under the latter are loosely independent in how they act, usually focusing on assignments related to pirate capture and suppression.

Hopefully, you would be able to contribute to the restoration of peace throughout the seas and maybe make a name for yourself in the process.

ABILITY SYSTEM

We'll have SKILLS, TECHNIQUES, STATS and PERKS.

SKILLS refer to the things your character can do. Examples would include devil fruits, fighting styles (Black Leg Style, Santoryu, Rokushiki), professions (doctor, carpenter, cartographer, and marksman), physical features either from a strange event (cyborg body, living skeleton, transplants/implants) or from being from a different race (Mink, Fishman, Giant, Three-Eye), or a named weapon/gear (Raid Suit, Climatact, Kuro Kabuto, Napoleon). This should also include any permanent advantages/disadvantages. For example, Brook being lighter than normal but not able to swim or Franky having a steel front body only. These would provide us with a general idea on your character's field of expertise and of what there are capable of doing.

Now for TECHNIQUES. I’ll be giving out points that you can use to learn specific moves based on the skills that you have. If we take Zoro as an example, his skill would be Santoryu and a technique under this would be Oni Giri. Like your skills, techniques would also scale with your stats. The only techniques you would spend points on are combat-based ones. The only exception to this is when I require you to. Using Chopper as an example, his skill would be Medicine. To administer first aid and have knowledge on human anatomy wouldn’t require points. Just take your stats into consideration, look at your character and what tier they're at, and ask yourself “Would this be viable?” I’ll hoping that I can trust your judgment, so don’t abuse it. If its creating some super-powered medicine, like the Rumble Balls, then that would definitely require a point; maybe several points but we’ll talk about that when we get there.

STATS are pretty simple, so I’ll just list them down along with a brief description of each and a tier list. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

PERKS are the bonuses every character gets when they become proficient at something or have the background to support it, and are based on their abilities in general. Aside from being bonuses, think of them as rewards for achieving certain milestones in the story, be it an epic victory or stacking up a lot of stat points.

CHARACTER CREATION

You'll be given the choice to either join the Naval Military under Sanji or the Mercenary Corps under Zoro. Feel free to edit and spice up the sheet as much as you want. This is just the standard I'm going for; if you wanna make it fancier and better, by all means go ahead.

@Geyter I don't know if it matters but with 50 points spread out over 4 stats the average is 12,5 so do we round down the points for will?

You have a typo in the Will explanation, unless it's the art of blocking metal attacks :D That being said I'll probably submit a CS before the weekend rolls around as well^^.

@KrischKrisch Have you ever tried taking a metal attack? Takes a shit load of will to not cry or scream. Nevertheless, good eye.

Going to wait a bit before making a CS to see what others have planned; I've got two ideas to follow: a knightly fellow that'll be focused on medium-close melee skirmishes or an insightful person who's more keen on naval combat, tactics/strategy and ordering people around.

Added a brief introduction to the ranks within the marines.

@Rai Unless I'm mistaken, I'm assuming you're kinda finished?

For your Rank, choose from either the Naval Military or the Mercenary Corps. Ensign is the starting rank for the former and Rookie for the latter.

First section labeled Stats is actually Skills.
General idea on the Skills and Techniques are okay, but how you phrased them kind of contradict the actual value of your character's actual stats. Maybe check the Tier List and just do a bit of rephrasing.

As for your Stats, you only used up 43 out of the 50 points you can start with.

@GreenGoat Not sure if this answers your question, I mentioned it briefly under TECHNIQUES, that Chopper as an example, would have a Doctor/Medical-based Skill. To administer first aid and have knowledge on human anatomy wouldn’t require points to be invested as techniques, but creating some super-powered medicine, like the Rumble Balls, would. For Cooking, in general no techniques would be needed if its non-combat, but creating those Okama Dishes, would. Hope that helps.

@Geyter Question. Though the RP hasn't started. I do assume there will be a system in place for characters to grow? Something other than a training time skip or what not.

@Rai Yeah? I mean I'll be basing character growth on how they act in and out of missions, then I'll be giving points as rewards from time to time.

@GreenGoat Hmmm. Okay. Everything was fine, up until the Skills. I mean, its definitely doable, just needs some tinkering.

First comment, use a different color for one of your Skills; it'll help once you stack techniques together. I mean, you could get a technique to analyze machines while in combat, then stack some quick dismantling or repairing techniques to it later on.

Second, the Prototype Robot itself would be the Skill, so describe how it works, it's general appearance, and any unique component such as the Helios Engine.

Then I'd suggest to keep Helios Engine - Start as the base technique where your other techniques branch off from

Given the nature of the robot and how it follows your character around and obeys her orders, it functions as a second character, which I don't want to completely allow just yet. So once you give the description of the prototype, I'll be assigning Stats to it. I'll mix some parts into the rewards I give out to your character later on.
