As requested by Stitches and Bazmund, I have opened a section in the OOC with a map of the local region we will be operating in for now. It isn't very detailed I am afraid BUT I will have the means to make a more detailed map next week. I also have a 3D version of the map if everyone wishes to see it
Glad you ended up making a map. Thanks for your efforts and hell yeah id like to see the 3D version!
Arcane Adept - Adam has spent much of his life training in the ways of magic, and claims aptitude in several schools of spellcraft. His premier is healing, and the subtle art of repairing the body and soul.
Desert Chemist - More than once has Adam recognised a mere weed as the last ingredient in a medicine that has saved a life. His former profession has taught him better than to rely on the logistics corps to create a working supply line, and to find faith instead in what you can get for yourself.
Surgeon-Soldier - It would be awfully daring to claim that his swordsmanship is anywhere near as good as his skill at doctoring, and at surgery, but it's not like he's never used one or never gotten training with it. The rest of his education wasn't bad either.
Linguist - There are some souls who die out there, in the freezing cold of the night, some of them dying alone; but not Adam. 'He who seeketh mine aid need not speak the language of my ears, only the words of my heart.' Half out of paranoia and half for the purposes of his job, Adam has taken to learning languages. He now speaks several of the more common ones fluently enough and has at least a familiarity with most of what you might find out there.

A set of herb and plant extracts in glass phials, labelled cryptically
A pouch of small pills, made of a substance not unlike salt and clay, dried out – the pouch is labelled ‘for fevers’
Three unlabelled jars, one clearly containing charcoal, the others containing creams or ointments of odd texture, cryptic purpose, and no smell.
A set of primitive ceramic syringes with alloy needle tips
A surgical and suture kit

a p p e a r a n c e Adam Rahim stands at 5”11 and 60kg. He’s a reasonably skinny guy, toned enough to show his fitness but quite plainly below the average in terms of strength. His hair is dark, just showing the beginnings of silver touchings above his ears and through the peak of his beard; his skin is a dark tan, by birth and by the grace of the desert sun. He has a pleasant face with a nice, easy, resting smile, and warm eyes. On his face there is only one scar – a thin, largely faded blade mark, on the left side of his chin. It is normally hidden by his facial hair. Underneath his clothes, there are a number of other scars on his torso from stab wounds, a couple of what look like they might have been very serious abrasions or erosions, and one quite obvious burn on his right pectoral. These scars have not, however, marred the fine and intricate tattoo work on his shoulders and above his heart – fine black lines of script, arranged in beautiful and painstaking patterns - around a symbol of a staff and a single snake, coiling stylistically around the body of the staff. The staff itself is encircled by a black ring of the aforementioned script, and it is present on his chest (slightly to the left of the sternum, tilted to the right), and on both arms in smaller variants. Though it is hardly common knowledge, these tattoos are the signifiers of rank and station within the Asperan military. His in particular show that he is a member of the medical corps, and that his position is as a battlefield surgeon and healer. There are subtle hints as well that he is a practitioner of magic, but these are concealed amongst the vows, oaths, and poetry of the rest of the text, easily visible only to those who know to look.
p e r s o n a l i t y Adam Rahim gained the nickname ‘Birdsong’ because there is no direct translation from the Asperan language’s word he was originally called by – the closest meaning in our language would be ‘a man whose heart belongs to birds’, or ‘someone very easily distracted by daydreams of places where birdsong echoes’. Needless to say it’s a lot more eloquent in that language – but it is very telling about the man himself; he in indeed a daydreamer, and a starry eyed idealist, who grew up on beautiful stories about another place where forests grow and birds sing in the mists of morning. He is kind, thoughtful, and insightful, his life coloured by the paint of optimism and faith in human goodwill. Perhaps most marked, however, is his curiosity, and his love of adventure. He originally joined the army to ‘… go and see the world.’ It was wanderlust and the desire to go and see beautiful sights that first brought him to the Sunrunners Guild – he has yet to regret it.
l i k e s Adam is a man of relatively simple pleasures. He likes to see new things, he likes to revisit old things he's seen before, he likes to help people out, he likes a little wine...

Swordplay - Iyana has honed her sword skill for most of her life so far. While good compared to most fae, she could be considered a master amongst the shorter-lived races. She can fight with either arm, but favors her right.
Shock Magic - The Tas family style of shock magic has been passed down to Iyana. It imbues her sword strikes with electric charge. Even a small cut from the sword will jerk the muscles of the victim involuntarily, disrupting their form and creating openings. Iyana is limited to small zaps only. She cannot perform feats of electrocution like the family masters.
Acrobatics - Iyana is proficient in remaining balanced in almost any condition. She's also well-versed in climbing, sneaking about, and other feats of dexterity.

a p p e a r a n c e Iyana is a fae teen who is about to mature into adulthood. She's not quite at the full height of an adult fae, nor the proper weight for a toned swordswoman. Her skin is tanned from long hours of training in the sun. To protect herself from the sun, she wears multiple layers of airy robes over tight underclothes. The layers also double as helpful protection from the bone-chilling desert cold at night. Instead of proper armor, she relies on hidden metal bracers to deflect strikes if she cannot simply dodge or parry the attack. Some may find her gaze uncanny, as she never seems to blink while one looks at her.
p e r s o n a l i t y Iyana is unfamiliar with almost every situation. She has only ever known her training. As a result, when it comes to non-combat skills or social interactions, she is unsure of her actions and constantly being surprised. She loves to learn new things, but is deathly afraid of failure. This, combined with her upbringing, has led to a crippling polarization in her skillset and personality. She will be confident and assertive during a fight, only to immediately shirk away and clam up when asked about it afterwards.

Alright guys and gals! I'm thinking of getting the RP started here in the next few days. There's only two people were really waiting on for profiles so that shouldn't be difficult to work them in if we get started, everyone cool with that?
Chivalric Training - Knights Of Hamfast are trained in something called, “The Chivalry Of Man,” which emphasizes the abilities that Humans possess that Fae and Dwarves lack. It is martial, teaching the greatbow, the use of plate armor, and the use of the longsword, shortsword, and shield, and skills based teaching horsemanship, animal husbandry, and basic survival skills.
Longsword Favor - Most Knights Of Hamfast take the longsword as their favored weapon. Their style is fluid, and makes careful use of every part of a blade explicitly to maximize the death one can deal with it. He is a particularly excellent duelist.
Might Of Man - Those from the lands under the control of the Hamfast family make great displays of strength their goal, as it shows the strength of humanity. One such feat of strength is called the Trial Of Man. In two stages, one must first defeat two unarmed Dwarves at once while similarly unarmed, then pry open their chest cavity and consume their liver and heart. This is done again with a pair of Fae. Walter Matthews succeeded.
’Neath A Dog’s Sigil - The Knight Order Of Hamfast trains with hounds, for the explicit purpose of hunting Fae and Dwarves. The animals they train follow orders well, and swiftly. Many Fae and Dwarves familiar with the various Human lineages may know well the sigil of the three gold stacked harriers on a field of green.
Bone Breaker - Out of leisure, rather than out of any particular chivalric duty, Walter Matthews learned unarmed melee fighting. His preference has developed into a skill, and he is now a troubling foe. His grapples, locks, and even punches are all built to allow him to transition into bone breakages upon successful strikes.
Hated Race: Fae - Throughout his life, Walter Matthews has developed a deep hatred of the Fae, and has made a point of killing many and collecting their scalps as a threat against the folk. He has even made a study of their anatomy for the explicit purposes of gutting them when he encounters them. He has had to suppress his urges since his exile from home...

A steel hounskull helmet. The forger’s initials, LG, are printed on the inside. The phrase, “My work is done only when your skull is in pieces, good Hound Of Hamfast,” is printed against the lower back edge of the piece. An aventail is attached. He wears a coif beneath the piece.
A brown combat jupon that stops at the upper middle arm. It has several replacement patches where heraldry would have gone. It has taken some damage but has been repaired professionally lately.
A black brigandine. It appears to have seen some use, but is otherwise in a state of good function. It fits well, and is comfortable to wear independent of additional support.
A beige gambeson. It is well maintained, and has patches and various points of repair along it. The original craftsman’s tag has been removed. It still has the Hamfast heraldry patched over the breast.
He wears a rich-looking tunic, that looks to be woven of a very fine, flaxen material. Not many pieces like it exist. It is, in fact, woven from the hair of many Fae. It glistens in the light, is soft, and has many shades of white and gold.
He carries a leather satchel, which is padded and hangs over his left shoulder and falls to rest above his belt. The leather is tanned Dwarf hide, and is very thick and reliable. The name, “Nori,” stamped into it. A cruel indicator of the skin’s previous owner?
Steel pauldrons and vambraces.
He wears simple brown hose, and dog leather boots.
Chain chausses covering the whole legs.
Greeves, cuisse, and a poleyn, all of steel.

@LordOfTheNight Uuhhhhhhg. This is like. Iteration 6. I've wrote and rewrote this guy so many times. I'm working on the details of personality and dislikes and such and making them a legible form but I've got something I'm mildly content with here. Lemme know your thoughts.
@LordOfTheNight As you'd allow it, a character conflict causing main character. He embarrassed his father at court and was sent to aid the Sunrunners as punishment, is my preference. He'll be forced to act differently and uncomfortably and will be a piece of grinding stone for other characters to develop off of as he himself is polished into a potentially better person.
One NPC character in the works! Should be done soon!

Impressive Strength - Like all Crokodans, Kronus' muscular form allows him to utilize an incredible amount of strength when needed. He can push large boulders, carry carts that are at maximum capacity, and easily overpower most men with his bulk alone, amongst other impressive feats.
Tough Hide: - Crokodan hides are as strong and durable to that of a regular crocodile's, meaning they are hard to slice or pierce through. Their backs are the most armored, allow them to tank a blow or two that would cripple most men, however their underbellies are more vulnerable. Thus they still wear forged armor when going into battle.
Powerful Jaws: - As the saying goes, "A Crokodan's bite is worse than it's bark". They can slam their jaws shut into the flesh of their enemies and potentially rip off limbs in several violent yanks. They usually use their jaws as a last resort, when talking or brute strength doesn't cut it.
Adapt Swimmer - Crokodan's are excellent swimmers, as they use their powerful tail to propel them through the water.

Iron Axe: An average iron axe, a staple of Crokodan arsenal.
Toothy Dagger: Made from one of his own severed teeth, all Crokodan warriors carry such a dagger as a means to honor their warrior god and as a test to become a true warrior.
