A p p e a r a n c e D e t a i l s The first thing one usually notices about the teenager, when he's not looking at the ground, are his striking azure eyes. It takes a moment but as their gaze falls they are able to take in the boyish, almost cherubic facial structure that has started strengthening and hardening as the machinations of puberty work to phase the boy into a man. Other than the bones shifting, the boy seemed to have won the genetic lottery as his straight nose, ears, and mouth all seemed perfectly proportioned to his facial structure. Soft ash-brown hair, lighter in some places but darker in others could be seen occasionally dipping into his eyes, but was normally well-styled and parted to the left. The Sophmore stood at six foot even, having grown quite a bit in the recent summer, and on his last doctor's visit weighed in at 163 pounds. He lacked the broad shoulders and bulk of other boys but was well-toned and wiry showing that he was quite active, and while it was barely evident there was a contrast to the width of his shoulders and that of his waist such as a competitive swimmer tended to have. Having just spent a summer outside, his usual creamy skin was bronzed over and gave the boy a healthy honey tone. And while all of this would pass through an observer rather quickly, they would also notice that the boy seemed to not even notice that he had such looks. His head was always down, looking away and rarely smiled, only giving sideways or half smirks, and only then when he decided it was required. This was usually joined in with his eyes darting to a random location as if he had trouble keeping eye contact with anyone. This has changed in recent times, those half-smirks no longer existing and instead, a perpetual frown seemed plastered to Aymeric's face. He had a simple style when it came to clothing, opting for a layered system where he would wear a single-colored t-shirt underneath a contrasting single-colored collared shirt. Most of the time the color scheme alternated blues and browns but every color of the rainbow could be swapped in whenever Myles wanted. Overtop of this simple outfit would be a New England Patriots hoodie and finishing the picture nine times out of ten were blue jeans of varying styles. Headphones and a walkman were also constantly around his neck as the music was a true sanctuary for the high-schooler. While not even able to grow more than wisps upon his lip, Aymeric also keeps his arms and legs shaved as many other swimmers do. This has led to some bullying but most people tend to ignore him, and just whisper. All in all, Aymeric was a physically healthy teenage boy, still going through change and attempting to stave off zits.

_{P e r s o n a l i t y}

Hard to wrap your head around really. Usually, that's the explanation one might say to a newcomer trying to describe Aymeric in one sentence. He keeps to himself, for the most part, hiding behind a coarse and cold exterior. He avoids eye contact, doesn't draw attention to himself, and speaks quietly during school hours, but can then shift and become a solid athlete and team player yelling around the field right after. An adaptable enigma, Aymeric has to be peeled back layer by layer and if you can get past his defenses you'd find that he's actually a rather nice kid who likes to look out for people, and does his best to be kind.

He could fit in with anyone, as he liked just about everything. Sports, band, choir, all music, arcade games, books, skating, bowling, the list went on and on and Aymeric could adapt into any crowd and make a 'home' for himself within any clique. He may not be the most talkative but he somehow just finds a way to slip in and belong. He's a silent observant hero, taking care of things or doing something he knows someone else would prefer not to do. He covers their weaknesses as best as possible unconsciously and doesn't make a big deal out of it. He's also usually the first person to come and sit quietly beside you when you might be feeling down and is a good listener.

Things have changed a bit though, with the recent loss of his sister. He's suffered and instead of fitting in, Aymeric has stuck to secluding himself to the best of his ability. It was a defense mechanism in his mind, the thought that if he didn't get attached to anyone else then he would be safe. Right? But beyond that, it was a way to get away from the sudden shock of the spotlight on him, the brother to a dead girl. He hated it, it made him uncomfortable like he was exposed.

_{C h a r a c t e r S y n o p s i s}

Aymeric is the youngest Devreux child, which meant that he was the baby of the family. He got everything you could possibly imagine with a simple pout face. He was a cherubic child, fun-loving and happy-go-lucky for the most part. Things were simple, things were nice. Even as a youngster there was something off about him. His mother, being aware of her own gifts, but lacking any training had noticed her son's nature and mentally wrestled with the possibility of the boy being special himself. The clues were hard to pin down, but Emeline just had those gut feelings when she spent time with her son, like electricity in the air it just felt charged. She never said a word, and with sweet ignorance, Aymeric had a relatively normal upbringing.

As he grew older the charge increased but was tempered by the time he started school. He had turned into a very inquisitive child, obsessed with learning as much about well... Everything and he even managed to test the saint of a kindergarten teacher's patience with his incessant questions. The 'why's' and the 'hows' and of course the 'what nows'. He was bright, and while he kept to himself for the most part he also kept a healthy dose of friendly interactions and human contact to keep him out of the anti-social spectrum or the obsessed with themselves crowd. In fact, he never drew any attention to himself and could easily be passed over by the teachers in favor of the more rambunctious crowd.

That was different when at home though. As the baby of the family, Aymeric was spoiled rotten by his parents and older siblings. Vanessa and Amanda were his heroes and they never shied away from taking him along with them on journeys around the block, or into the big kids play area. He adored them, and as he grew formed a deep bond with his siblings that could never be broken.

Unfortunately, the universe liked breaking those bonds. All through middle school, Aymeric had made a name for himself as the 'nice' kid. The one that simply did things without asking and always tried to looks out for his classmates. He was well-liked and played baseball and football while also participating in the band. But at the same time during this period, he also skated under the radar, just existing and letting others have the spotlight. He was never the first person you thought about, just that after-thought when you noticed your favorite juice-box sitting on your desk or your folder that you forgot organized and waiting on the teacher's desk.

When Vanessa was found dead, Aymeric was no longer allowed to be in the background. He was suddenly and viciously thrown into the spotlight for everyone. During his time settling into high-school, his personality shifted along with the rampaging changes to his body. But beyond that the magnetic field around him had seemed to shift as well, his mother noticing a change on the day of his sister's funeral. After sitting through the entire ordeal Aymeric spent days just staring out of his bedroom window. He was changing but he had bigger problems than what he put down to puberty. His entire life was changed and he had a burning rage inside him, a desire to find whatever or whoever hurt his family and to end them. The quiet boy was shifting, who knows what he would adapt into now.

_//Abilities:

Hyper-Human Ability | Emotional and Sense Manipulation
The hype-gene for Aymeric was once on track to develop into Psychometry, the ability to gain the history of an object or person by touching them. But that has changed with recent events, though to anyone that knew anything about hype-genes the knowledge of powers changing and shifting during the teenage years wouldn't be news at all. With the death of his sister and the emotional turmoil of the funeral, something clicked for Aymeric and his gene shifted as well sending him spiraling into another direction. Although he currently does not have this power, it is as certain as the sunrise as his path through the gene-pool has ended.

Aymeric will gain the ability to manipulate emotions and senses. The hype-gene seeming to affix to his empathetic personality and boost that through an electro-magnetic relationship with those around him. This could be as simple as changing somebody's mood, or as advanced as taking away someone's ability to see, smell, or hear. In addition, this means that Aymeric can also sense someone's current mood and emotion but does it in a 'snapshot' sort of way. Since emotions are discrete and constantly shifting based on internal or external events Aymeric will get a snap of what a person is currently feeling and the direction they are moving to.

When affecting someone or a group that snap amplifies and instead becomes much easier to spot and the more under control an individual becomes the easier it is to map their emotional state and keep them focused on what Aymeric wants them to be focused on... Or not focused on.

Weakness(es) | The largest weakness to Aymerics power is that in order to manipulate or control someone else's emotions he has to keep his own clear. This means that if he is perpetually angry he will never be able to induce happiness or safety. Instead, it will only serve to make everyone else around him angry and the more he loses control, the more dangerous he is to himself as he could inadvertently change his very person. In addition, emotional feedback can occur such as being exposed to overwhelming sadness, pain, or suffering. If not careful Aymeric will live the moment with them. In some cases to manipulate some emotion requires Aymeric to absorb it which has a similar event of losing his own self. His power at the moment of manifesting is limited to up to three people in a fifteen-foot radius OR a single person in the visual distance. In addition, only one emotion or sense can be manipulated at one time at any time.

Whether this will increase in time is unknown. The sky is the limit and powers constantly evolve. What could be a month from now could be completely different than now. Such is the hype-gene.

_//Skills:

Athletic | Aymeric has been an athlete since elementary school where he played on pop warner football teams or baseball teams depending on the season. He can run quickly and for an extended period of time. (Within reason of course.)

Intelligent | Aymeric's brain works and processes information very quickly. He's a straight-A student that barely seems to have to try in order to understand things. He is able to adapt to situations fast and routinely.

Reading people | Most of the kids at Mather Memorial and even some teachers Aymeric has watched and observed. He's good at getting a read on someone and with his powers, it's easier to understand where someone is coming from and to 'walk a mile in their shoes'. He's extremely empathetic.

A p p e a r a n c e D e t a i l s "Dress like you're going to get laid, even if you're not." Dexter takes pride in his presentable appearance and overall it's no wonder he is leading the race for "Best take home to parents" senior superlative. Dex always dresses with a 'smart-casual' look to him. He tends to gravitate towards henley shirts, flannels, jeans or khakis, and closed toed shoes. During the colder days, he tends to like to dress with tasteful use of leather. He's renowned for oftentimes shopping with his mother (sometimes earning him a title of a 'mama's boy'), but it has paid off with well fitting clothing and a top notch sense of what looks good and what doesn't. To top it all off, the guy even manages to smell good regularly. Fancy that? Dexter stands at around 5'10, putting him comfortably in the upper-average range for a male in the USA. While he might not stand out as the most straight up attractive man in town, he is certainly doing well for himself and often makes a large effort to look as presentable as possible by wearing formal clothing. Dress shirts, dress pants, dress shoes, blazer, and a tie are common attire. He's not jock-muscular, but he's got a masculine and youthful physique, which certainly earns him some bonus points. Catching Dexter looking mussed up is like spotting a unicorn, and oftentimes if he is off his game, everyone else is too.

_{P e r s o n a l i t y}

Dex has always been a 'golden boy'. He doesn't jump out as particularly good as much as he listens more than he speaks. He treats everyone around him well, asks people how their shifts and days have been, buys people lunch. Stuff like that. Some would say that he was the Jay Leno of FAMA because he doesn't bother anyone, and that's usually a spot on argument. Dexter just doesn't have any reason to piss people off. He's somehow managed to have pretty good or neutral relations with just about everyone and avoids the inevitable drama of working with people in close proximity.

Dexter is a people person, and the reason why is that almost every part of him is generally genuine. He tends to have a trustworthy and confidence vibe because of his wonderful bedside manner and as far as most are aware he's never gone behind someone's back. Dexter's persona in conversation is humble and quietly intelligent, preferring to act ignorant and allow the other person to speak rather than show his knowledge unless asked for his opinion. He's not the smartest person around but if his ability to dress is anything to go by he's certainly a candidate for one of the hardest working.

Overall Dexter would be defined as 'good man', almost suspiciously so. He pays his rent, does his taxes, and doesnt owe a cent to anyone- preferring to pay off any debt as soon as possible. His home has full filing cabinets of bank, payment, and tax histories for both himself and his mother- and he's a straight shooter when it comes to getting things done. His home is tidy and there isn't a speck of dust to be found. Dexter is also the one who is most "on top of things," and who does the most to, "keep things in line," compared with the others on the team. He is often the most stubborn and disciplined, and is the one who often displays the most strict self-controlled behavior- oftentimes unwilling to change it or himself.

However despite Dexter's overall strict demeanor compared with the others, there are times when he lets loose. He is more authoritative than authoritarian, and is more than willing to bend the rules if it becomes necessary. In addition he has no difficulty with expressing attraction, earning jests from his peers for being a horn-dog. In reality though, Dexter is exceedingly polite and takes rejection with grace. In the event that it is reciprocated though, his normal disciplined personality becomes evident and he reverts back to it, which often results in endings of his dating experiences.

_{C h a r a c t e r S y n o p s i s}

Dexter was raised under a set of ideals: A warrior's spirit; a servant's heart; a fun-loving attitude.

Dexter was born into a middle class home in Crestwood Hollow to a fairly youthful marriage. A year after Dexter was born, his little sister came into the world. Unfortunately, due to the unfortunate circumstances, his sister was born with a plethora of crippling health problems. As Dexter grew up, he was taught many lifelong lessons by his family and sister. Namely, patience and empathy, as she was confined to a wheel chair. His sister's various disabilities and sickly predisposition made it impossible for him and his family to live a conventionally normal life for a long time. Just when things were starting to even out at the start of middle school, Dexter's father passed away while commuting home from work- killed in a car crash. Worse yet, his sister's breathing apparatus suffered a malfunction only a few months later. With her brain starved of oxygen, Dexter's sister had been left brain dead. The already broken family was forced to make another heart wrenching choice, and then the family of four had been down to two.

The family was never the same after that. Him and his mother bonded over such a time of trial, and he deeply cares for his mother as a result. He picked up his dad's dusty old guitar and began reading like his sister. It didn't fill the void they left behind, but it was a coping mechanism that worked and helped. Neither Dexter nor his mother let their loved ones' passing slow them down forever, choosing instead to live on happily in their names. Dexter and his mother still live relatively happy and somewhat normal lives all things considered. Due to health and life insurances his family had put in place before any of the incidents, what was left of his family was left very financially stable. They still remain in the same house, but as a result Dexter has been given the opportunity to get his Private Pilot's license through high school and plans to attend a renowned flight school for college. Due to the necessary evil of commuting (since Crestwood Hollow does not have any flight schools in the town), he and his mother purchased a car for his own personal use.

So, yeah. Shit happens, and sometimes he wished it had happened to someone else. Life dealt him some shitty cards and he focused more on mastering his hand than complaining about a cruddy deck. He was pretty happy through high school- made easy friends with most people, got a car, worked hard, got good grades, found a passion for music and work, and noticed that 'hey that some girls are actually really cute.'

Life has a way of raising you up just to drop you back down again. The loss of one of his closest friends only a short time after coming to terms with his family's loss has not been good to him. Time will tell moving forwards.

_//Abilities:

Hyper-Human Ability | Super-Hot
Dexter's hyperhuman ability can be summarized in two words: "Go fast."

Simply put, Dexter has a plethora of secondary abilities that function as one that allow him to move faster than the human eye can track for short bursts and run at speeds capable of easily outpacing even the most high end automobiles for a longer distance. In order to keep up with his body, Dexter's mind is able to read, interpret and process at a incredible speed allowing him to perceive and react to the world far more quickly than any human. His reflexes react much faster than a normal, having barely any lag or dead time before he reacts to the world around him. He perceives the world in a form of 'bullet time', and a great example of this would be that he perceives a bullet being shot at him in the same way that a normal person sees a 95mph fastball being thrown at them. This means that generally speaking his awareness of a potential problem is the most limiting factor when it comes to reacting to said problem. His metabolism likewise is also much faster, dissolving absolutely heroic amounts of food in short time frames leaving Dexter in nearly a perpetual state of hunger. Due to this accelerated state of being, wounds close and heal much faster.

Furthermore, moving at incredible speeds puts an enormous toll on the body and in a normal one would tear Dexter apart. However this is not that case as Dexter is proportionally much, much stronger and more durable than the average human. This enables Dexter to exert himself in the ways that he does, and allows for the absolutely monumental forces placed on his body to be dealt with in a relatively safe manner.

Weakness(es) | Dexter's most damning, and most dangerous Achilles heel is what is known as a 'runners high'. Simply put, the longer Dexter goes, the worse it will be when he stops. Prolonged encounters requiring constant and regular use of his super speed in more than a simply reactionary manner will make him crash, and crash hard. Even stopping for a moment could put him out of a skirmish, and to compound this further the more he uses his ability the more the taxes his body's resources. He can quite literally run himself into the ground, and when the body is so dehydrated and starved the stress of doing so could very well not be someone one can recover from.

In terms of limitations, no matter how fast or strong he is, Dexter still has to deal with the physical forces of nature. Meaning that while he can accelerate extremely quickly, running at three hundred and change miles an hour comes with a few drawbacks. Dexter cant brake one a dime, nor can he change direction on one. Moving extremely fast means wide turns and a pretty good distance required to stop. Dexter can survive high speed collisions, but doing so could cripple him for life.

_//Skills:

Cooking | Dexter's mom went through her fair share of recovery after their loss, and still does from time to time. As a result, there has been a number of times where he was left to fend for himself. He's found a pretty good amount of joy in cooking, and while he's no master chef, he'd be lying if he said he hadn't watched a fair number of cooking programs.

Aviation | His family is very well off, and Dexter has started his journey into aviation. He is certified and trained to fly aircraft. His training has made him adept at multitasking, and exceptional in a crisis.

Outdoor's Man | Years of curiosity has landed him in the wild and in some fairly compromising positions. He's fairly adept as an outdoor's man. He is very familiar with most species of animals and plants in all areas of this area of the USA and knows all of the constellations and other celestial objects in the sky. In addition to this, he is also extremely proficient with a rifle.
