@Dark Cloud@FilthyWeeb@ERode@Kenshi@ForsakenBySleep I think that's more than enough interest. Sheet's up, and its relatively simple. As for skills, I'm kind of fond of keeping them a bit random, but I know how boring it can get when you pull poorly in the ability gacha. I'll given you a short list to choose from depending on your character's sheet and whatnot.
@brwntwn Working on my CS, and I have a question. My character isn't a humanoid like a goblin or Newt. Assuming my character wanted to carry/keep something, what could they do? Perhaps an ability that allows them to store items, like a pouch akin to a marsupial, or an extra stomach that allows them to store things? Or maybe they have a bag from an encounter with, say, a friendly human?
Name: Gearchor (though he'll probably accept most variations of "crunch") Race: Lesser Totenkopf Lindwyrm Gender: Male Physical Description: A small reptile (roughly 6 feet/2 meters from snout to tail) distantly related to dragons, the Lesser Totenkopf Lindwyrm is a carnivore known for its large appetite. Gearchor himself is slightly smaller than the norm, with a distinctive set of scars on his right forelimb. Personality: While Lesser Totenkopf Lindwyrms are by no means stupid monsters, Gearchor shows an intelligence and curiosity not normally seen in his species, particularly humans and other races. He'll often follow them at a distance and listen in on them, and may even sneak into their camps to examine their belongings. History: In his past life, Geachor came from a broken family. His mother left when he was young, and his father fell into a depression fueled by alcohol. So he did his best to raise himself and his little sister. However, during one of his father's benders, he became violent and started beating his children. While Geachor protected his sister while the police were on their way, he later died of his injuries.
Prehensile tail and tongue
Secondary stomach for storage (can swallow and store items around the size of a baseball)
Right, probably important question: I recall that you were looking for something within the range of 4 people when this Interest Check first popped up. With interest exceeding 4 now, what's your limit going to be? Also, are we straight up gonna be starting out as monster babies, or more like monster toddlers with a year or two under our belts?
I wanted to go as far as possible with the reincarnated as a monster thing as possible, which is to say as human as I can go. I was thinking of maybe going with something like a slime, amorphous and lacking most senses in favour of interpreting sounds and it’s environment through touch and vibrations. I also had an idea for its mind controlling the body via commanding it to do things rather than it operating in the usual direct manner, but that was more a neat idea I figured would be interesting to work through the pros and cons of.
As far as things go how much of that is fine. Totally happy to rework or come up with an entirely new idea.
Biometrics: 1'2 and 25 lbs. A rotund goblet with scruffy hair and large, magenta eyes. Their nails have not yet hardened into the black nails of a grown goblin, and only two teeth have popped out so far.
Personality: Rihi is...kind within her limits. She'll hold the door for you, but will not open the door for you. She will share her food with you, but will not buy food for you. She will walk home with you late at night, but only for as long as you're heading into the same direction as her. Small kindnesses, built upon convenience. She smiles easily, maintaining an appropriate distance. She keeps her stresses restrained and releases them when alone. She walks as if in a dream, and whatever hurts she endures slides off her mind like droplets of rain. Rihi is okay.
History: At 19, the woman now known as Rihi dropped out of her business degree for medical purposes. A year later, she entered the workforce as a telemarketer for a company specializing in kitchen appliances. Her manager had no qualms with her work ethic, and of the new recruits from that woman's year, she was part of the 10% that stuck around. Three years later, she was pushed onto the tracks and subsequently died. The debts she accrued to purchase a small house will be inherited by her grandmother.
Picture/Description: Lira is shaped like a flat saucer with a diameter of 61cm and a thickness of 8.5cm at her center, which tapers off to 2,5cm at her edges. Her body is hollow with a small circular hole at the center of her topside. She has a pair of 15cm long eyestalks on either side of the central hole as well as numerous tentacles and small spikes that growing from her underside. Lira is a warm yellow colour with tentacles that ends in blue. Like other flumphs, she also glows faintly depending on her mood. Pink=Amusement Blue=Sadness Green=Curiosity and Red=Anger
Personality: Lira has always been a quiet and friendly person, someone who would happily help out her friends if asked – mostly because she sometimes struggles with saying no, something she’s trying to work on after her death. She prefers avoiding direct conflict as much as possible – partly because she doesn’t like it, mostly because she wants to live – but if the situation calls for it, she’ll do her best to both participate and prepare for it, setting traps and thoroughly scouting the surroundings beforehand if possible. She loves cute and fluffy animals, wanting nothing more than to bury herself in their fur, especially cats – in her past life, several hours were spent doing nothing but petting the family cat while reading a good book. Not being able to read books and immerse herself in stories had been quite the blow for Lira, as such whenever the itch for a good story gets too much and if there’s adventurers nearby, she’ll carefully hide nearby and eavesdrop on their conversations while pretending she’s listening to an audio-book.
History: The oldest of five to two loving parents, the only complaint she had regarding family life was the occasional sometimes inconvenient need for her to act as a part time babysitter at the drop of the hat and even that wasn’t all bad. In highschool she had a part time job at the local library and would spend any free moment she had there, reading whatever book caught her eye, from fantasy to history to random facts about sea creatures. When the time came for college, she didn’t have any hesitation choosing to major in Journalism – her dream being to become a publisher who’ll help writers share their works with the world – with minors in Marketing and Acting – purely because the latter looked like fun. The day before she would have started her first day at her new job, she was riding the elevator up to her apartment when it broke and went crashing down several floors and resulting in her death.
