How did you discover your powers: Sabine discovered her powers very young when she got in trouble with her father. He was yelling at her for her poor schoolwork when she kept thinking, hoping he would forget about it. Sure enough, he stopped yelling and asked what she wanted from him. She showed him her grades again and he got upset, saying the same thing. She practiced again, willing him to forget, and he did. With practice, she was able to determine she could manipulate people's memories as well as see memories from objects or other people simply by touching them.

General History: Born in Lyon, France, the Bassards were a wealthy, influential family with fingers in many pies that ranged from politics to the arts. Sabine was born as the only child and sole heir to their name until tragedy struck and Sabine lost her mother, Giselle, in an accident. Distraught and broken, Sabine's father, Remmy, threw himself into his work, where he met Cosette. The two fell in love and got married rather quickly. Cosette had two children of her own from a previous marriage. Sabine hated them all.

Remmy made the decision to move to the United States when Sabine was 12 years old. The transition was relatively easy as Sabine had learned English in school. She also made a name for herself being an attractive blonde girl. Sabine's family were often too busy to interact with her and left the children to be looked after by staff. This allowed Sabine the freedom to do what she wanted, often getting into trouble and needing her family's wealth to bail her out. It was during this free time that she discovered her powers of manipulating memories and seeing memories of the past.

Sabine used this power sparingly at first until she was attacked by a boy at school. She saved herself by causing the boy to forget who he was, which caused a panic attack leading to the boy being hospitalized. Rumors spread that she caused the attack. Unsatisfied that her reputation took such a hit, she researched other schools and found the Avengers Academy. She decided that she wanted to learn to control her powers to prevent dangers in the future. She auditioned for the school and got accepted. She took the opportunity to rebrand herself, never allowing others to know more about her than she intended.

Proposed Arc:

• Shattered Memories: Multiple people wake up and don't remember a significant chunk of a certain timeframe. Something happened and someone or something caused the memory lapse. Perfect time for Amnesia to be blamed or save the day.
• The Ties That Bind: Sabine's biological mother is alive! And she has the same powers as her daughter. Why did she force her daughter to forget? What is she running from?

Victoria is a highly motivated hero in the making. She believes in doing the greater good, even if not by entirely lawful means. She joined the academy out of the desire to help people, and be the best at it as she can be. A purpose she will pursuit with unrelenting zeal, and she will think a little bit less of those around her that joined for any other purpose. If she determines you are a threat, she will not show mercy. To her, second chances are asking for trouble.

Her true nature allows her to be highly adaptable to any given situation in the pursuit of that purpose. She can run a thousand simulation of possible actions while a regular human will think of one, and optimize her approach to a task. And unlike many others, she will consider and where appropriate use underhanded tactics, lie, backstab and even kill, if it results in a better outcome for more people than acting honorable, morally and within the law. Letting the thousand die so that the million lives is the correct decision in her book - provided those are the only two options available.

Being a machine, even disguising herself as a human she is highly intelligent, however her interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence scrape the bottom of the barrel, making her sound blunt, oftentimes sarcastic or cold and on occasion downright cruel.

Construction and powers:
Officially, Victoria possesses none of these and is limited to human ability levels. There is a strict set of rules when she is allowed to break the Veil protocol:

• 1 - The continued existence of the homo sapiens species is threatened by a non-human threat.
• 2 - The life of a member of the homo sapiens species is threatened by a non-human, unnatural threat, except where in conflict with 1.
• 3 - The Veil protocol is lifted by Hope van Dyne, James Rhodes or the Director of SHIELD, except where in conflict with 1 or 2. Further people may be added to the list only by majority of the current list. There must always be an odd number of persons on the list.
• 4 - The Veil protocol is lifted by an active Avenger, if all of the persons in 3 are dead, incapacitated or otherwise unavailable within time until decision is needed.
• 5 - If all persons within the operational area demonstrated knowledge of the unit's true nature.
• 6 - The Veil protocol is rendered unnecessary by the unit's true nature becoming common knowledge.

ASTRA’s body is shaped around an endoskeleton fashioned out of secondary adamantium. Mobility is achieved through series of electric servos for precise motorics and hydraulic actuators for heavy lifting. Most of its core hardware is stored in the chest and abdomen, with only its sensor suite located in the head. The skin is made out of nanites.

Despite being a walking supercomputer and thus having a shorter learning curve, it still takes time for ASTRA to master certain things that require doing before understanding, such as martial arts. Furthermore Victoria doesn’t bother learning much of what she doesn’t need, as her long-term holographic memory may be impressive in size, but it is far from encompassing all of knowledge, and writing in it is very power consuming, and most of the time she can google things.

Minor shapeshifting - ASTRA’s nanoskin can change its shape, color and to some degree mechanical properties. The shape is limited by the endoskeleton, always restricting it to a humanoid build.

Energy absorption - ASTRA is powered through its shell, which can transfer various energy sources into its powerplant - the unit is mostly powered by solar energy. The capability is limited though - for example it can still be damaged by fire given enough exposure or high enough temperature.

Increased strength - Unarmored, ASTRA can lift up to 1 ton with each arm or 3 tons with both, providing it can distribute the weight properly. It can also move about 3 times faster than a human and has wider range of motion on its joints.

Supercomputer - The robot has large memory and the computational power of the best technology. It also possesses significantly shortened reaction time and is capable of affecting electronics through physical or wireless contact. ASTRA senses are greater than that of a human, but not as good but nowhere near supersenses.

Armor:
Officially, this is the extent of Victoria's superhuman abilities.

As the base robot is made to be able to mimic a human, something more is needed for those tough fights when the nanite shell just wouldn’t last long enough. As such, as an 'I could do that' slight to Stark, a suit of powered armor was developed along with the ASTRA robot proper. Unlike the Ironman suit, it is not capable of functioning without being fully assembled or to be controlled remotely, lacking dedicated electronics and power source, relying on the ASTRA wearing it for those.

Composite armor - With bulkiness not being the issue for ASTRA's intended role as a frontline unit, the armor was made out of a composite material, making it more durable than a comparable tech level Ironman armor. It is worth noting that it was designed to take the brunt of damage from the front, and there the armor is heaviest, while from the rear it is no better than the Ironman armor. With the need to accept a pilot, the armor also has weak spots in the seams and actuation points.

Multi-field emitters - ASTRA armor is equipped with multi-
-field emitters, which can fire directed graviton and repulsor beams, as well as produce electric arcs and magnetic fields. The suit has a set of 5 - Two in the palms for fight or flight, two on the back as main flight engines, and a larger central piece on the chest for heavy hitting. This set is not enough units to produce controlled vectored fields, limiting them to deformed spherical shapes.

Increased strength - The armor has its own mobility suite, allowing an armored ASTRA to lift up to 10 tons. However, the armor’s mobility suite is far clunkier, and limits ASTRA to human speed and reaction time.

Coverup: Genius runs in her family, and when Hope discovered Victoria's aptitude for anything mechanical and electrical, as well as her fangirling over a certain airforce colonel, Hope pulled some strings and let Victoria design and build her armor and work towards her dream, under the colonel's mentorship.

True story: As a robot, Antonia was always aware of her functions. Getting creative with them and translating those functions into new abilities is what is important to her development.

2022 - Born to the european branch of the van Dyne family, split from the american branch prior to their emigration.
2034, age 12: Parents and grandparents lost in a car accident, sole survivor. Contacted Hope van Dyne and taken in for shelter. Shown genius level aptitude for technical sciences.
2035, age 13: Meets colonel Rhodes in a PR event. After doing research on him, chooses him as her role model.
2036, age 14: Builds a suit of improvised armor out of parts salvaged from scrapyards and expresses the desire to be like the colonel. Hope contacts him and pulls strings to gather some resources to build a proper armor suit. Rhodes agrees to mentor Victoria and recommends her for the academy.
2037, age 17: Spent her tenure on the academy relatively lonely, catching up on skills she needed to operate her armor properly. At the end of the second year, Rhodes encouraged her to develop her social skills more.
2038, age 16: Present day.

Reality:
2022 - The ASTRA units proposed by Hope van Dyne in an effort to create a better artificial protector for Earth than Ultron and Vision. The idea main design differences were:
- Inclusion of emotion processing, so the units can form a bond to humans.
- The system would consist of multiple, highly adaptable, individually intelligent units, each overall superior to a human, but not exceeding most of the superhumans in their specific abilities. This choice intended to make them effective by overwhelming a threat with numbers and broad portfolio of abilities, but to be easier to dispose of if some of the units went rogue.
2027: First intelligence that would become Victoria activated, being raised and taught by Hope as a human child would, albeit at vastly accelerated rate.
2030: Mobile hardware developed and Victoria takes her first steps. Colonel Rhodes recruited to help train her in her future role.
2035: Victoria makes connections with her 'family' and Warmachine and is generally functional as a member of society, marking the first sucessful milestone of the ASTRA program.
2036: Victoria is recommended to the academy, both to continue sharpening her abilities, and also to start gathering intelligence on potential future threats.
2037: Spent her tenure on the academy relatively lonely, catching up on skills she needed to operate her armor properly. At the end of the second year, Rhodes encouraged her to develop her social skills more.
2038: Present day.

Proposed Arcs:

• Broken veil 1 - Using fear 2. The secret of Antonia's nature is revealed, and much like with the mutants, powers want to be rid of her or get her under shackles. There is also the issue of the reaction of her immediate surroundings.
• Broken veil 2 - Would have to happen organically in the game. A single or limited number of people discover the truth (Potentially a love interest?) Emotional rollercoaster, potential growth as a person or the start of a villain arc.
• Between a rock and a hard place - An important person is put in peril, potentially leading to fear 1 where it is a choice between the important person or the 'greater good'. May result in a broken veil scenario.
• Psycho in my head - Significantly superior hacker attempts to plant a virus/take over the ASTRA. Conflict between the malicious code and the unaffected personality matrix. Potential growth as a person or the start of a villain arc.
• Knockoff - Somebody is stealing Pym tech with the intention of making a Shieldmaiden or ASTRA copy. Implies Broken Veil. May result in an upgrade using recovered tech.
• Infinite: General infinity stones arc, with ASTRA being able to integrate the stones into its system. Potentially ending in an upgrade (power, actual soul, ...) Or self sacrifice.
• Divine: General asgard related arc. Potentially ending with ASTRA being upgraded with asgardian armor, which would imprison her if she became unworthy of wearing it.

• I think the thing where you hover over and see the truth is cool, but I almost wonder if it would be easier on you to do just Fake Info (Real Info) - i.e., Shieldmaiden (ASTRA). Just since it's no doubt a lot of coding lol. And I have no idea how it might look on a phone.
• What's in her personal workshop?
• The survival rations in the backpack does make me wonder - does she eat? If she eats, does she get energy from food? Or is it all for show? (no need for an edit here, I'm just curious lol)
• lmaooo on the comic Visions bit... I'm guessing you read King's Vision series, with the family? Such a good comic. And outside of that one comic, I never really care - except Viv is cool. Think she's showing up in next issue of Scarlet Witch actually! Anyways, the note I have here is that Vision and Wanda's kids, Billy and Tommy, will be NPCs in the RP as well. Tho I've simplified the lore, so they were never made into demon hand puppets and adsorbed, no retro-reincarnation, they're just their kids.

Overall, I really like her! I think her and Cassie would be super close, and Cassie would see her as her sister as well. I believe I've seen the visions's story in the Champions actually, when Viv had her thing with the high evolutionary. But yeah, Mom Vision especially gives me the chills.

The workshop is where Victoria would store and maintain her gear. There'd be tools to fabricate parts and electronics, probably via 3D printing because 2038.

The medkit and rations she carries around are her thinking of the others, should there be a need. ASTRA has no need for food and can't get energy or material from it, although she can fake eating if needed.

Personal Style: Appropriately tomboyish with the prevalence of t-shirts, shorts, and even jeans. But when wearing formal attire or even a dress, Ardere is completely unrecognizable. Strangely enough, she has a complete aversion to long sleeves and long pants, even in the coldest weather. Not unless she was directly told to wear them, Adere will not wear them by choice. The only exception to wearing thicker clothing was to put on the appearance of conformality and heed her parents' words. Color-wise, she gravitates towards neutral or dark tones in monotone patterns. Very rarely she would wear something more exciting than a polo shirt with a breast pocket.

She enjoys covering her face with a mask she made at home for a Halloween costume. While rumors would suggest she loathes her own image, Adere likes to wear it to scare people. She enjoys October 31st because of it.

She doesn't spend the effort to pretend to be nice, she often ignores and keeps silent about the people around her but inside her mind, her thoughts are rampant and diverse with a thousand opinions forming from her observations. Instead of parties and fashion, Ardere sticks to her books while secretly loathing her absence to exciting social gatherings of her peers. Seeking knowledge as a way to compensate for the lack of personal connection. A complete reverse of her usual behavior from 6 years ago.

No longer accustomed to how to vent her anger in healthy manners, Adere stores her rage, her disappointment, and her envy inside of her, building up as time went on. The effects of a breakdown are quite explosive as such a flood of emotional discourse would cause her powers to activate in spontaneous combustion. Amazingly enough, that quick release of fire and flame reset her attitude back to a milquetoast of contentedness.

How did you discover your powers: Her powers were discovered when her house burned down unexpectedly. Right after her father sends Ardere to her room after ruining her older brother's theatre project, the smell of smoke starts waffling heavily throughout the house. Panicking, Epherem evacuated the house with his family only to realize Ardere was still inside. Before he could go back inside to drag her out of her room, the house was consumed in flames only for Ardere to run out unscathed and without any burn marks on her body or pajamas.

General History: If there was one theme that could describe her life and her family, it was paradoxically unremarkable and fascinating. While having no heritage of mutant or alien heritage that could be considered her ancestors, Ardere's mother is an entrepreneurial career businesswoman with 30 years of experience under her belt while her father is a former Disney artist; though found a new career in Rick and Morty. Boring as it was compared to the superheroes, Ardere nonetheless found the exploits of her parents infinitely more fascinating than the Avengers in their missions.

Never would she consider being one herself at age 14 given her interests in the mundane competitive world of artistry. Her biggest worries lay in the tests she didn't study for, not saving the world from one armageddon after another. Yet, Fate would suggest otherwise as Ardere would discover her powers in the least convenient manner: at home indoors, within her room, surrounded by flammable material, as her power was unleashed in a fit of unrelenting rage and exponential wrath. Being sent to her room was humiliating enough but seeing the furious disappointment in her father's eyes after scoring poorly in math class in the final year of middle school one too many times had led to a fierce shouting match, making her more bitter than she ever felt before.

The collection of manga she has been collecting for the past four years going up in smoke was the first indication of her powers of heat generation being unleashed. Followed by her bed and wooden desk turning black as a small fire erupted and quickly grew to engulf her room as the temperature reached scorching levels. After making her family homeless indefinitely, it was decided for Ardere to attend Avengers Academy. Not an easy decision as she would be well and far away from her home state but since her newfound powers are here to stay, it was seen as necessary in order to learn the skills to keep her heat generation from spiraling out of control.
While the house would be rebuilt, Ardere will live like a college student, going by the comments of her father and brother.

Proposed Arc:

• Living in the shadows of her family's legacy and achievements, both good and bad, Ardere is at the point to starts thinking about what she wants and who she should become.
• Find friends, make friends, break out of her shell and socialize.
• Experience something new. Her world is not in books or in maps, it's found out there waiting to be encountered.

How did you discover your powers: Most Dire Wraiths are born with the ability to shape-shift, but Rory’s abilities were locked by magic. However, after the incident in Washington D.C. this lock was partially released. By a year after the incident, Rory was in an orphanage when their eyes changed color. This event was shrugged off, until Rory changed their skin color to blue.

After that Rory would be sent to an orphanage for powered children where their powers would continue manifest, his height, weight, and overall appearance changing randomly. It wouldn’t be until after they were adopted that Rory would begin to control their powers.

General History: Millions of years ago a group of Skrulls were experimented on by Celestials, transforming them into Eternals and Deviants. A group of these Deviant Skrulls, ones who use magic, were chased off the Skrull home world, fleeing to a forbidden part of space called the Dark Nebula. Taking the name Dire Wraiths, they would settle on a planet they would call Wraithworld.

After a failed war of expansion against the nearby system of Galador, the Dire Wraiths would begin a different means of expansion. They began using newborn Dire Wraiths to replace children of prominent people on various other planets. One of these planets was Earth, where an unnamed Dire Wraith child would be sent to replace the son of American Senator named Brent Riggs.

The child, now named Richard Riggs, was enchanted with magic that would keep them in a human form until he came of age, as well as having his mission imprinted on his mind with magic as well. So Richard would be raised in Washington D.C. never wanting for anything. However, at the age of three, an otherworldly monster would attack the capital, the current Sorcerer Supreme coming to fight it. The battle would end in a massive blast of magic that heavily damaged the capital.

Both of Richard’s parents would be killed in the blast, but the toddler would somehow survive. However, the massive discharge of magic would damage the enchantment on Richard, weakening their lock on shape-shifting and removing the programming from their mind. With no extended family to speak of, Richard would be placed in an orphanage.

Within a year, Richard’s powers began to manifest. They were quickly placed in a special orphanage for children with superpowers. Initially there would be no interest in adopting Richard, as most parents didn’t want to deal with a kid with powers. But then the recently married couple of Hugo Serrano, a tech specialist who helps the Avengers, and Liam Moore, a scientist who studies superpowers, came to the orphanage. Looking to help children with powers, they would immediately adopt Richard.

Now with the last name Serrano-Moore, Richard would be raised in a loving home. Under the tutelage of both fathers, Richard would come to understand their powers better, Liam believing them to be a mutant. By the age of seven, Richard’s parents would adopt another powered child, his sister Claire. The young girl had the ability to see in every possible spectrum. Richard would use what they learned to help his struggling sister.

Richard and Claire would be close, almost being inseparable. As Richard got older, they would begin to dabble in video game development, finding themselves to be a great artist. Along with some of his friends at school, Richard would work on a basic game, eventually releasing it on the app store. This would prompt Richard to want to pursue graphic design at school.

It was also during this period that Richard found that they didn’t feel much like a boy, but conversely wasn’t a girl. Meetings with a counselor would help Richard figure that they were non-binary. After coming out to their family, Richard would legally change their name to Rory. At this point Liam and Hugo adopted another mutant child, a boy named Victor who could spit balls of energy.

Rory would then discover that their power was simply changing their features, but they could also morph their body parts into weapons. Rory would then begin Tae Kwon Do lessons in an attempt to master their body. But that wouldn’t be enough, as Rory would want to explore their powers more. They floated the idea of attending a superhero school. It took some convincing, but eventually his parents agreed. Using his previous connection with the Avengers, Hugo would help get their child into the Margaret Carter Institute. Rory would then be placed as a member of Excelsior.

Proposed Arc:

• Rory discovers that they are not a mutant, in fact they are an alien. Wanting to learn more about their people, Rory would seek them out, only to learn that there are other Dire Wraiths on Earth, ones still with their programming in tact.
• In a year’s time, Rory’s sister Claire will be old enough to attend the Academy. Of course she decides to follow after her older sibling, getting in as well. Now Rory has to deal with their younger sister being around, as they are super protective of her.
• Rory gets stuck in a transformed state, having to deal with that being their appearance for the time being.
