We've already discussed this, it's not Heresy Era, I've said this a number of Times. Also, as you said before, size, in the Warhammer Universe is debatable, as things are constantly being changed. Lexicanum (My go to source for Warhammer knowledge) said that (the same cannons mounted on a ) If so, then a Thunderhawk would have to be pretty fucking huge to carry a generator capable of powering it up a weapon of that magnitude, without losing it's flight capability. And as for the ship... Well, after looking into it, apparently things have got pretty fucked up as far as size goes, apparently, now, the smallest Capital ship that the Imperium fields is the Cobra-class Escort Frigate at 1.5KM. unfortunately, that thing has little to no space for an assault force, built like Defiant from DS9. Plus, of course, dat look... Vengeance is an awesome shape for a ship.Fuck it, Let's say that the Vengeance is 2.5KM and have done with it, Who's gonna complain? Matt Ward? He can blow me.

I'm just going to leave this here. Would it not be better to take a ship from a franchise with more reliable and consistent sources?

I mean surely there is another franchise out there you like as much, even if you were to go ST like Assallya IIRC she is planning to come from a ST galaxy where the Kin or Kiith w/e are in charge. You could come from one without them.

Halo(this one gives you good ground troops and there is more information on the Franchise)
Freespace
Stargate
startrek
BSG
eVe
Firefly
Maccross
Star Defender
Wing Commnader
Babylon 5
X(1-2 or 3)
Evochron
Star Craft
Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy
Farscape
Deadspace
Aliens.

Plenty of them there.

I do listen. Whoever said this was Colimbia's Twelve Colonies?

"This was the third time they'd taken Coruscant...." clearly indicates that this is the third recursion of the Star Wars galaxy.

For some amount of spoilers, they took a single recursion of the 12 Colonies but decided against any others, their resources were far too limited to merit repeated invasions. This Columbia's recursion is untouched, their Columbia having been destroyed. The galaxies of the 12 Colonies are barren for some reason and devoid of life. They make for poor slave stock. It might, should the grest Endevour permit make for some fascinating study. Why is it that this Galaxy alone is so barren? Where were the ancient races that seeded the galaxiesof other recursions?

Mind you, now all that is totally ruined.

I don't see the point in playing multiverse when I'm playing as a Battlestar when the enemy have seen Battlestars before. It removes all the uniqueness. The whole point as far as I saw it of doing a mutliverse was that we were the oddities, ships that the enemy had never seen before. We turn up and the enemy are like "Woah, who are these guys? What are these guys?"

Multiple Universes in a Multiverse roleplay is just asking for some serious wank, complicated stuff and just asking to piss some people off as far as I see it.

Also it isn't ruined. If it was going to ruin anything you didn't have to post it in the OOC you could have PM'd me as I will probably have some influence when it comes to the BSG side of things as I've spent a lot of time on the re-imagined series the spin offs, movies and the Wikia and I think most sci-fi folk have noticed that it is pretty barren of life and resources compared to most other sci fis.

Can I just point out however that before Raidne edited it in the first post Colonial ships were launching from the Tower, if it was so devoid of life so not worth multiple takings why would they have bothered going to the part where they have colonial ships. Why would they even waste the time with Colonial ships when they can just throw Star Trek ships at people? Why do they even use ships form home galaxies? Why not just make their own using the best of every technology. Adapt to their situations. Though I hear why they are using home galaxy ships is something to do with plot and I have guessed what part of it is. So I'll leave that one be.

Also you don't need to have them invaded the BSG universe before to know it is barren, they could always invade it later and then give up. Gives a reason to spend only a short time in a certain Galaxy doesn't it?

However if there was some grand amazing plot idea for Battlestar Galactica then you could have originally just told me as such.

I always just saw the point in me playing BSG in Multiverse was to give it something a bit unique, a bit different. Something that other people see and go "What the hell is that?"

Oh, you never mentioned that, only that you didn't want your particular recursion conquered.

We can go that route but it severely limits your ability to function. You'd have no ability to enter any conquered territory. You'd be marginalized, forced to stay on the outer rim forever. The key to being a successful rebel is to hide in plain sight, using guile to get close to your enemies so you can deal them hurt where they are most vulnerable. You are, after all, outnumbered several thousand to one.

So long as there is a minimal number of ships belonging to some variant of your own dimension there is room to finagle IFF, spoof sensors or just bluff your way aroundF

So that is what the point in that was. I still don't like that it removes uniqueness.

Also Sure, I'll be marginalized. It doesn't matter so much when I have the best FTL drives available, get a new power system and upgrade navigational computers and I can hit and raid wherever I want without having to worry about pesky gravity wells or anything like that.

Person

I knew it when watching Razor again. The Guardian was talking and I was like "I know that voice".

He is the voice of the Bentusi.

Ironic considering the fact that in BSG:Razor technically he is unbound.

|Ship Name: CAS-class assault carrier Shade of Tyranny
|Universe of Origin: Halo Universe
|Method of Transfer (inc. damage sustained during transfer/current supplies): Slipspace accident. Those stories about the ships which vanish in slipspace, never to be seen again? The Shadow of Tyranny just discovered what happens to them, they get tossed through the fabric of space and time, breaching the walls of the universe. Luckily, the Shade of Tyranny has arrived in a universe where the rules of physics are still the same and thus their ship hasn't been randomly destroyed, their bodies haven't melted nor have they met any other nasty end.
As with all slip space accidents, the damage is extensive. The Energy Projectors are heavily damaged, only one is still able to be fired and only on it's medium and low settings, not the high setting used for glassing planets. It's reactors are functioning at 78.6% and one of it's store rooms has literally disappeared, taking with it the majority of their anti-matter charges. Some of the armour plating on it's port side has been torn off, and two of it's port hanger bays have recieved heavy damage. There have been significant losses in life (Much to Luka's dismay, there are still living Brutes on board). It has also lost the majority of it's escape pods as many jetisoned for unknown reasons during the transfer, leaving just enough escape pods to carry about 310 individuals if they attempt to maximise the usage of space, which is nothing compared the crews number. This has left his fleet to fall to the control of another Sanghelli, and Luka is hellbent on finding a way back into the war zone

|Ship Specifications:
Length: 5,346 metres (17,540 ft)
Width: 2,118 metres (6,950 ft)
Height/depth: 700 metres (2,300 ft)

Combat systems: Pulse laser turrets
Plasma Torpedo's
Plasma Turrets
Energy projector Times 2 (Damaged)
Antimatter charge (Main supply lost, limited available)
Defensive systems: Shielding
Thick Covenant Alloy Armour
Other systems: Repulsor Engines
Comms system
Detection systems
Life Support Systems

|Crew: 5,000 + 20,000 (Fully staffed) 5,000+15,402 (Current Staff) 20,402 (Current total)
Crew composition: 3141 Elites, 3051 Brutes, 3352 Jackals, 2339 Drones, 7482 Grunts, 508 Engineers, 529 Hunters
Additionally, there is a small 400 meter Covenant Agricultural Support Ship (The "Spirits Sustenance") docked, as it's slipspace drive was damaged in combat with a human fleet, and a Stealth Corvette (The Stealth Corvette is in the second port dock, which is depressuried and thus requires EVA units in order to reach it for the moment. It has also lost it's shield generator but it's stealth systems remain operational) There are also Two Light Cruisers (300 Meters long and 145 meters long each, The "Silent Prayer" and The "Pilgrims Solace") inside it's bays
It contains three Scarabs (The Fourth, fifth and sixth were lost in slipspace and the third scarab is damaged and requires repairs), 50 Spirits, 50 Phantoms, 121 Seraphs. 30 Choppers (Again, much to Luka's dismay at the savage vehicles) 20 Prowlers, 80 Ghosts, 40 Spectres, 41 Revenants, 32 Wraiths, 57 Banshee's, 100 Banshee Intercepters (IE: Space Banshee's) Total: 624
Other: 100 Orbital Insertion Pods, 40 Heavy Orbital Insertion pods, 10 Covenant Boarding Craft, 9 escape pods

Major Characters (More may be added in time, and minor characters will come and go without being added here. I am not going to add Flipyap the Grunt who appeared for two posts and then became another faceless mook xD)

+Name: Luka Loramai
+Job: Zealot (Supreme Commander)
+Description: Muscular and standing at roughly 7'7 tall, his mandables have many feral looking teeth, and he is missing a tooth on his lower right mandable that was knocked out during sparring, along with a scar on his chest he recieved from the same fight. Despite being an enemy of humanity, Luka has shown a willingness to cooperate with them when there is a mutual goal or objective, and holds a grudging respect for the humans. He has also shown a willingness to permit those serving under him to use human weaponry when there is no other weaponry available, an act that would usually warrant a charge of heresy. Some have called his faith into question as a result of this, but his actions in the Human-Covenant war have been louder than these voices thus far, and those under his command vouch for his zeal. Being a swordsman, he took the "ai" suffix to his name instead of the standard "ee" when he entered military service with the covenant.

+Name: Fal Refumai
+Job: Zealot (Field Marshal)
+Description: Slightly taller than Luka, with a more muscled body and standing at roughly 7'9 tall, his mandables are unscythed and contain many sharp, pointed teeth. The definition of a zealot, Refumee holds an excessive zeal that makes his own lance nearly unbreakable in morale. Despite Refumee's excessive zeal, he has formed a close bond with Loramai to the point Refumee is willing to risk his own zeal being questioned by vouching for Loramai. He serves as Luka's second in command and fills the important role of Field Marshal. Fal Refumee is also eager to return to the war, though mostly because he knows his role has now fallen to a Brute Chieften and would rather his beating heart torn from his chest than to know that savage was in charge of his men

+Name: Ripa Lodamee
+Job: General
+Description: Slightly smaller than the other two high ranked officers at 7'5, but with a much larger ego, Ripa Lodamee is a skilled tactician and warrior... and unfortunately, he knows it. Even for a Sangheili his ego is crushing, he loves to tell proud boasts about his own exploits, while claiming responsibility for others successes and down playing any achievements he can't claim credit for. While the other two see only the need to return, Ripa Lodamee sees a new oppurtunity in this galaxy. A galaxy that they could dominate. He disagree's with the other two that they should return to their own universe in order to continue the Human-Covenant war, thinking that it is all well in hand, and instead believes they should find away to bring more forces here and conquer this universe instead.

+Name: Zuka Zoramee
+Job: Shipmaster of the Pilgrims Solace
+Description: Standing at 7'6, Zuka Zoramee is a competent Shipmaster known for inspiring loyalty and courage in his soldiers through excellent leadership. Though he is more lenient, make no mistake, he does not tolerate insubordination or cowards. If you violate the Sangheili code of honour, you will find no friend in Zuka regardless of his lenience compared to other shipmasters

+Name: Lyacktanus
+Job: Shipmaster of the Silent Prayer
+Description: Standing at 8'8, Lyacktanus is the polar opposite of Zuka Zoramee, instead inspiring loyalty and courage through fear and an iron fist over his underlings. Brutal in his execution, Lyacktanus allows no room for failure and does not believe in second chances, failures never become successes. If you fail under Voro, you can expect to find yourself dead, stuck in your current rank for a very long time, or if you are lucky booted over to another ship.

+Name: Dayap
+Job: Acting as Ship master of the Spirits Sustenance, officially a grunt Ultra
+Description: Dayap is essentially the acting shipmaster of the Spirits Sustenance, which is potentially the most important ship that the Shade of Tyranny has been fortunate enough to bring. It has several levels and provides enough to see at least part of the crew through, the rest can be traded with. Although it's hardly going to supply them with enough food to camp out, it's still vitally important. Dayap is like most grunts in the respect that he can be cowards, but at the same time, at the rank of Ultra, he has seen a lot of combat and can be extremely tenacious.

I totally get where you are coming from, but... Honestly, I am really excited to play these characters, have their philosophy be tested against others, see how theirs interacts with others, draw Parallels between The Warp and The Force, the Necrons and the Cylons. And of course, there will be no better feeling than that moment when, right near Endgame, the Obelisk is being attacked and those faithful words are spoken. "Enemies of the Imperium here me, by challenging this vessel, you have challenged the will of the Gods themselves, of the Omnisiah, and of the Immortal God Emperor that serves as his Avatar in this world... This challenge will be met by the embodiment of death and destruction, entrusted to us from the bosom of Deus Mechanicus, his greatest and holiest weapon... When the Dark Gods consume your souls, let them know and fear the name... Krakatoa..." *SOUNDS OF THE TITAN COMING TO LIFE*

So, instead, let's just say that they come from a universe where the Vengeance is 2.5KM and make this a whole lot easier.

Now you're just being silly and looking to create excuses where there are none.

Unless you're trying to sneak through the middle of a fleet you don't even need to repaint or modify the ship. At several thousand kilometers someone's going to need a very good telescope to see the name. Secondly, if the Galactica can build itself a new fighter the Columbia can likely do something far simpler and repaint the hull and modify the blazon. More importantly, if the Columbia with the help of its allies in the fleet can't even modify the ship enough to pass muster you might as well give up before you start because that's embarrassing :)

Also, greeting to our new person! We've got quite a bit of ground forces now. That's rather unexpected.

They built a fighter from scratch and it took them weeks, I doubt they could replicate a Viper.

Besides, either way. I doubt we could hide within them. I'm sure they'd notice an Extra Battlestar they've never heard off, an extra carrier. With COs they have never heard off.

Also if they are god like and able to cross between dimensions surely they'd be able to spot us in a crowd?

Besides you can't drag us to go play inside the enemy pretending to be them. My guy wouldn't be for that, why would he? When I can hit and run wherever I want.

First off:

Nice to see ya again Raidne!

Second off: I've got a couple of questions.

Regarding ships that we're allowed to bring...Should they be OC, based on specifications of others ships from the chosen universe, with its own original crew to compliment it? Or could one use a canonical ship with canon characters? (I ask, because I was looking at using a ship from Transformers. But upon further study, there's little to no specifications on ship classes or types. The only ships with any detail to them are the Nemesis and the Ark, as far as I can tell.)

Another question. If the universe we choose has multiple continuities, are we allowed to pick one we desire, or should we only use the main canon?

I am pretty sure they can be canon, as long as you feel you can play the character :P

Well, in this roleplay from what I've seen there are multiple continuities all over the place so I'm pretty sure you can feel free to go through it.

From the discussion in the IRC the problem is that you're so powerful. Covenant have kick ass shields that prevent most things from going through them with the exception of CONCENTRATED Mac fire or the Infinity just ramming through them. I don't think any of the other ships can ram you down without a bit of self sacrifice. The only real threat to your ship out of the players is me with all my nukes (Including loading Raptors and Vipers with the damned things) or Echo building more Ion Frigates than he can manage.

A UNSC carrier off the same size would be less powerful simply due to its nature, in the last Multiverse RP(That gave us all the idea for this one even though the plot is quite different) we had a little Paris flying around and that thing was quite useful. I also quite like the idea of W40k Space Marines and Spartans meeting one another. Might be interesting. If you are determined on Covenant I'd say the smaller ships would definitely be better and even then they are still quite powerful :P
