_Are you shitting me?_ Melina almost yelped when Mithera's voice suddenly cut into her head. _There's a mage at the train station that makes shape shifting look easy!_ Melina sighed, standing up and heading towards the train station, wanting to at least see this transforming mage. What she found was even worse; Phoenix Wing sitting there at the train station. _You put it lightly Mithera. Don't come down unless I tell you too._ Melina started to move closer, wanting to watch Phoenix Wing from a distance. Of all the places to be, why were they here now? _Damn shape shifter got it easy..._ Melina rolled her eyes. She sat down on a bench, leaning back and looking like she was people watching, despite not being dressed remotely close to inconspicuously. --- Mayt moved a little off to the side, close enough that he could still hear Master Jamie giving orders, but far enough away that his group could gather around him. "Damian, would you rather someone who throws fire around in the library? Trust me, a few swords won't do nearly as much damage as a fire. Besides, we need at least two people combing the library if the librarian decides to not be helpful. So You, Maddox, who I'm sure'll turn up, and I will do fine. But I'll agree to four people guarding us is a tad excessive. Seeing as we're two S classes and Maddox can get the hell out of there whenever he wants."

"God has a sick sense of humor, and apparently, he sent me to annoy you some more" Penny said in amusement to the boy she assumed she would be watching the prankster mage as well as anyone else who seemed intent on tagging along with the guild. Why, she didn't know, but she trusted Master Jamie. She looked over as someone said her name, recongnising the girl, she nodded. Resigned to playing baby sitter. As the young boy approached and offered his hand, Penny shook it. "Well. Aren't you a cutie? I want you guys to stay close to me, and do what I saw. What are your magics? I need to know, so they can be useful to me" ----- Jamie chuckled, and said "Oh, I hope it makes them angry. Puts them off their stride, and makes them wonder what else I'm hiding. And therefore takes the attention of the others, letting them secure the book" ------ Sasha was glad she didn't have to be part of thee team searching for the book. She knew she would just be holding them back if she helped with the book. She looked to Lazarus, knowing he had concerns about what could happen today, she took his hand, and gave it a squeeze, "it's going to be okay" She said, once more.

[Damian] Deciding not to argue the point, he turns to Mayt. "Not to mention conspicuous, though they could say they're waiting on us to come back from doing some research for a large job we're going to be doing." Damian pauses mid speech and shrugged, heading for the library. "Suppose we can figure that out when we get there. Let's go, ladies and gents." [James] Spotting Damian and Mayt heading for the library already, James beckons to the others to get going and starts moving himself. he kept a hand placed casually on his hilt, a habit he'd picked up when in the Magic Council's home town. "So, what all magic do you guys use? As a paladin, I can kick serious butt, but I'm also a powerful support source. Picking the support spells for you will be easier if I know your magic."

Phones turned on his side. He listened through his headphones and heard a female's voice. He peered over his shoulder to see a red-haired woman speaking to him. She appeared to be less strict than the form Jamie took. Nicolas merely shrugged in agreement; maybe the universe is punishing him by holding him hostage. "Sound," Nicolas yawned.

"I can control most any energy at a short range." Mayt stated simply, drawing his sword and pointing it outwards, the edge of the blade glowing orange for a second, from the bottom to the tip, before curling a twisting about the blade. The last part was purely for show as he put the blade away. "Not perfectly though, I do best with heat, followed by movement."

Karn's face brightened like that of a child getting such awe-inspiring praise as he was called a cutie as he happily shook her hand. At the question, he hummed before his body changed into that of a exact copy of the red haired woman. Placing the left palm against the soft skin of the left cheek, his voice changed as well along with his appearance. **"Transformation Magic. I can be from your twin,"** he said before he changed into his cat form. **"To a kitty cat."** he said then transformed back to his human self, each form transition taking no more then a split second. **"Or to anything other living thing I've seen before. Though his playfulness paused as he looked around. It was similar to that feeling like he was getting watched like on the train, but different. Not seeing anything, he shrugged it off as a weird animal thing before smiling brightly again, though curiously looked at the Sound Mage. Cheerfully smiling to him. **"Nice to meet you again Soundwave."** he greeted cheerfully.

Sasha smiled at James. She hadn't had much, or rather, any chance to talk with James. "Molding mage, Ice" She said, "I create animals that work as objects or other things. Like my hawk arrow. Or Snake stair case" She said, trying to describe her magic. "it's better seen in action" She said, following after them ---- Penny sighed. this was going to be harder then she thought. At Phones yawn, she poked him. "Pay attention. If someone gets hurt or is killed because of your lack of attention or just total disregard for everything, you won't ever get mercy again" She said wearily, but she smiled at Karn. "I think one of me is enough"

"Huh?" Nicolas grunted. He sat up from the floor once he heard a child-like voice _"Soundwave?"_ Phones suspected that this was came from the transforming mage near him. Nicolas scratched his head and jiggled his head from side to side. "Soundwave....soundwave. Soundwave!" Nicolas practiced hearing the name out loud. His head then nodded and he gave a thumbs up. "I'm fine with it." His head then tilted to the side. "Again?" His eyes squinted as he tried picturing the person's face. He couldn't really tell at the moment if the shape-shifter was a male or female. The best option would be to wait until a pronoun is used to describe the transformation mage. "Oh, wait. You're the cat on the train. Oh, yeah." Nicolas' eyes shifted from left to right. "Hello to you too...Tom...cat. Tomcat." Nicolas turned to his side. "Hmm, Tomcat? Tomcat...Tomcat." He whispered under his breath. He then could feel the red-haired women poke him. Giving her a confused look, he stood up. "All I need to know is what I am doing and I'll be ready to go." He said with confidence.

Melina had been doing her best to keep Mithera from flipping out over the shape shifter, but was still relieved that the fire mage from the other day hadn't noticed her, too preoccupied with another in the group. Melina relaxed, watching them until they turned a corner before getting up and following from a safe distance. Ignoring Mithera's mental grumbles about it being unfair. --- "Be civil, all of you." Mayt looked directly at Penny as he said this, walking just behind the rest of the group. "If someone gets hurt because of one person's negligence alone then we already did something wrong." He rolled his shoulders. "Let's just get that book and leave. I don't think they'll attack people just looking for a book 'to help with one of their jobs."

Trinity was happy when Karn came to find her. She gave him a soft smile before her attention was turned to Penny. "Ah, my magic? Requip and Archery magic. Oh, and Bard Magic, but that's... not really for combat." Trinity called her bow harp into her hand, striking a few poses with it before simply playing it, lightly. She turned to Mayt as he addressed them. "Ah, but I'm always civil. Mischievous, perhaps, but civil." She let out a little giggle.

Maddox sat down at the table the waiter assigned him. The restaurant had hardly any customers, given the time of day. "What would you like to drink?" the suit-wearing waiter asked the red-haired mage. "I'll just have some water," Maddox told him, picking up the menu as the waiter marched back to the kitchen. _This place will do nicely,_ Maddox thought to himself as he pretended to read over the different food items. _By the time I've had a small meal the rest of the guild should be dispersed adequately._ _There is no way anyone would recognize me as part of Phoenix Wing now._ His expression didn't change at all, giving no hints to his thoughts. _It's too sketchy. While I'm hanging back I'll also do some scouting. I can feel that Phoenix Wing and the Magic Council won't be the only two parties involved._ By now the waiter returned with a pitcher of iced water and a glass, filling it up at the table and leaving the pitcher. "Have you decided on your meal yet, sir?" His red eyes glanced up to the waiter as he folded the menu. "Yes. I'll have the grilled salmon. I know that's a dinner meal but I feel like salmon right now." A friendly smile formed on the mage's face as the waiter wrote the order down. "We'll have that for you in no time sir." The waiter took the menu and left to attend other customers, leaving Maddox alone at the table. _Hopefully I'll be able to identify the true threat before it shows itself,_ Maddox thought as he took a sip of his water. _I knew the Magic Council would provide no difficulties, but I'm sure if anything does arise it won't be from them._

Karn chuckled at Penny's reaction then brightened as the Sound Mage seemed to be alright with the nickname the blonde had chose. His name had escaped the Transformation Mage, and Soundwave just seemed suitable, considering that little display of magic that was shown on the train. A big booming wave a sound, it was pretty cool, if one didn't look at the property damage that made many angry yells. **"Yup!"** He confirmed the Sound mages guess before grinning at the returned nickname, giving his own thumbs up. He didn't mind it , and it was pretty fitting since he liked being a cat a lot of the time. Mayt then looked at them, basically telling them to behave, in which Karn gave him a slight pout before smiling. **"Sorry Ser Samurai. I'll be extra careful!"** he reassured, smiling to Trinity as she said her own magic before staring intently at Penny, almost like he was about to pounce. Awaiting for some command, or movement he should follow. Listening intently. He didn't want to mess up and be hated, many of these people seemed nice, and he wanted to befriend every single one of them the best to his abilities. So if he had to be extra obedient and pay as close of a attention he did with Master Rian, then he would.

Penny sighed and said to Mayt, **"I could have slapped him, but I poked him instead. He appears to get distracted a lot. Should I redden and bruise his face to get his attention, or just poke him?"** She said looking back to her group, wondering how she had gotten here.** "Basically, there, Soundwave"** The chosen nick name seemed easier then trying to find out what the mage's name was, **"You just stand looking as if you belong, and then follow my orders if something goes wrong. We are to back up Master Jamie, if she needs it. Or the library group, but that's only as a last resort. They have their own back up. Master Jarvis has already given me a Lacrima, as a way of communication. The other groups have one as well" ** Authority had entered her voice, and it was clear that Penny would stop at nothing to make sure the other guild members were say. If they were, then Sasha was.** "I will have no one messing up. For one, we cannot disgrace Phoenix Wing, and for another, we do not need loss of life. Karn, is it possible for you to remain in one shape for a long time? If so, you could easily watch how everything is going in the Magic Council by being a bird. You can watch and make sure the Master, Jarvis and Sayuri are okay. Soundwave, how does your magic work? Are you able to amplify sounds? Could you do so with voices, so we can hear what's going on in the magical Council? And Trinity, if you play some sort of music, we could simply pose as if we are waiting for the rest of the guild to come back. Be casual"** Was that it? She thought so. She couldn't shake the feeling that something just wasn't right about this. But she couldn't put her finger on it. She glanced around, but saw nothing odd, save for the black cat that seemed to be following them. ----- Master Jamie rubbed her eyes, and said to Jarvis, **"Stay with Sayuri for a moment. I have to go check something"** Without waiting for an answer, or reply, Jamie darted off. It didn't take her long to find Melina following them. **"Why is it that whenever something big seems to happen, you are there, Melina? Did you really think I wouldn't recognise Mithera? I know her shapes, and the way her magic is. After all, I rarely let her out my sight when she was under my care. What are you doing here? While I would rather save my energy, if you are going to mess with my operation, I will have to stop you"** ------ As the rest of the magic council Gathered, Angelica was in her element. Kali was still trailing after Phoenix Wing, and Angelica was in control. Right where she liked it. She rose, and waited until everyone was liking at her. _Angelica_ was a tall, black haired Wizard, and one of only two females on the council. She loved attention, and loved manipulating everyone. **"A guild has come here, for reasons we do not know. Phoenix Wing arrived at the station a little while ago, and appear to be coming towards here"** **"it c-c-could b-be just s-s-something simple, l-like them s-stopping the n-night"** _Carrie_, the only other female on the council, a brown haired, somewhat mousey woman, she was clearly uneasy around Angelica, and speaking up against her was a challenge. ** "Since when has Jamie every just stopped here?" **Angelica shot back, causing Carrie to cringe back, shifting towards a big, dark skinned man who looking intimidating. His name was _Spencer_, and while he rarely spoke, he did now. **"Perhaps Angelica, its simply an innocent visit" ** Angelica scoffed, and waved a hand, causing two men, both as identical as the other to mimic her, but stopped when she turned their way. **"What do you two think?"** _Theodore_ shrugged, and said, "Nope. Jamie does what jamie does. No one can know what's in his head" _Timothy_ nodded in agreement, and Angelica sighed, looking to Masahiko. "And you?"

_"Blah blah blah,"_ Nicolas trailed off after she spoke. He stepped forward and tapped his chin; he started to zone her out once she start mentioning things that did not concern him. Biting his thumb, he thought about what she asked. Nicolas honestly was not a full sound mage. He controlled vibrations. Vibrations were the entree and sound happened to be the sides. He never really threw voices around or sounds. Phones has been focusing on other moves and trying to perfect them first! Nicolas tilted his head; he turned over to the red-haired woman. "Got it," Phones was going to take a shot at this. If there was ever first time, this would be it. The importance of this mission did not seem that high anyways considering this is his first mission for the guild. Phones doubted they would ensure succession from a person they picked up from a train. He placed his headphones over his ears. "Sounds don't really work that way. Amplifying them will only make them louder and increase in volume. We will hear them, but they would find it weird why everyone is yelling." He breathed calmly. "I'm going to create a baby monitor effect. We hear them, they don't hear us. I've done this all the time," Nicolas lied. "Oh, and by the way," he stared intently at the red-haired woman. "Slap me and I will not hesitate..." Nicolas ended off there with mystery and began concentrating. He listened to some music to enter his own sanctuary. Seeing how this was going to be a new trick, he needed some peace and quiet. Nicolas felt it in his hands; he was not sure what to make of it. _"Well, I have no idea what you do little guy,"_ Phones inspected it in his hands. **"Nope Jamie does what Jamie does.** Nicolas smiled, he was starting to hear multiple voices from the ball. _"I'm such a badass,"_ Phones knew at his point that anything was possible for him. _"I think I'm going to call you...'Sound Ball. That's a great name. Not sure what good you'll do in combat."_ Nicolas thought. He tossed the sound ball at the red-haired woman. Probably not the best idea at the moment as he did not know of the consequences if it had shattered. "Catch," he warned. Nicolas proceeded to listen to his headphones after his task was finished. Mentally, he prepared himself and proceeded to stretch his legs and arms. Nicolas was not too sure of his magic capabilities and if he was 100% successful. There was no telling if he accidentally messed up his spell. Instead of a baby monitor, he could have made a telephone. We hear them...they hear us. He suspected if that happened there probably would be conflict. _"Be ready for anything, Nick."_ He was not too worried. With how much Phoenix Wing boasted about themselves, they probably could beat a "Magic Counsel." _"What the hell is a magic counsel anyways?"_

Melina didn't try to hide once she noticed the Guild Master coming towards her, just standing there and waiting. "Funny, I could say the same thing. I'm not here to do anything this time. I was just, how should I put it, perusing the outside of the council building for a future visit? I had no idea you and your guild would be here until you arrived, and I have no intention of making myself a target of an entire guild, even if Mithera is at my back." She crossed her arms, smiling a little. "Though by the sounds of it, you have a group heading into the library, so at worst I'll piggy back off your operation." _Goddammit Mithera, get over the shape shifter already, he's not worth your time to fret over._ Melina cleared her throat. "As for always being around when something important is happening, I'm just lucky. Or unlucky. Depends." She crossed her arms, trying to look annoyed but not dangerous. --- Mayt sighed. "No, I'd rather you to not talk to him if you don't have anything nice to say. Your tone of voice is also a thing you need to keep in check too." He crossed his arms and continued walking. "At the very least don't get him mad at you Penny. And Karn? Just call me Mayt please, as that's my name.

Karn watched as Mayt and Penny discuss things before curiously watching the Sound Mage work his magic into doing what was requested. Creating some sort of ball that emitted some sounds. Smiling in awe he gave a soft cheer. **"Wow that's amazing Soundwave! So cool!"** He exclaimed happily as he looked at the ball in Penny's hands, almost tempted to paw at it out of instinct but refrained. As Penny asked about his timer and his possible job, he nodded happily. **"If it's small, then I can stay that form for a long time. So I'll make super sure everything's okay!"** he said changing into the a tiny blue songbird and fluttered onto Penny's shoulder. **"Okay Mayty!"** Karn chirped cheerfully to the katana wielding man.

Lazarus nodded to the master and looked down as Sasha squeezed his hand. "Yeah. It will be." He let go and cracked his knuckles. He started to walk in the direction of the others. He responded to James, "angelic magic. Speed and power. Along with defensive capabilities." That was all he said. He gave Sasha a look if she were about to correct him, as if to tell her to remain silent on the matter. "What if we encounter multiple opponents fighting for the council? Do we break off in pairs?" He grunted.

[Damian] "If we do encounter rune knights or Council wizards, do your best to stick together. And if you get separated, meet back at the train station." Spotting the black cat, Damian narrows his eyes before counting to three. When it hadn't even changed directions by the count of three, the little feline found itself in a sharp edged cage. Walking over, he inspects the cat. "Well now, why would a cat be so intent on following a bunch of strangers it knows has no food? Jarvis, think this thing is watching us?"

"If you want it to look like we're waiting, then we could probably just... wait?" Trinity shrugged her shoulders and found somewhere nearby to sit, whether a bench or a low rising wall. She swaps her bow harp for a standing harp and begins to play, operating the harp's lever with her foot. She giggled softly at Mayt and Karn, taking a moment to wave. "Later, *Mayty*~" She giggled again and went back to playing. It was something like one might expect to hear in chamber music. She turned her attention to Soundwave as she played, though kept herself from staring. She's gotta watch her hands, anyway. Her bow harp and small lever harp were the only two she could really play without looking. They decided to bring this punk with them? Or, perhaps more accurately, their master decided. Not how she would have handled it, it didn't even seem like he really wanted to be here with them. Well, it wasn't her problem, so she'd just watch to see how it would resolve.
