Exactly what you just imagined! The world being different so that the field lines are different. You know in an intuitive manner why the field flows as it does. That intuition can be made as strong as any memory of sight or sound or smell or touch. You imagined, a little bit ago, how the "why" of the field could be different so that the field would flow differently. That's what you imagine, and that's what you overlay on reality.

Of course, given the nature of such storms, I would be willing to bet they can move instantaneously, much like we do with portals or teleportation. Combined with the fact that pure Outside would have absolutely shredded everything left, I’d say the storm still harbors what we may be looking for. Which means, hopefully, it continues to harbor the who as well.

The best way I can describe it is if a hurricane was a storm of reality manipulation. Within it, there is such a high level if chaos going on that it’s hard to ever guess what’s happening inside. All I can say is that the storm is, or was, massively amplifying the signal and just distributing it everywhere it could. But, this guess is only the best I can do.

Yes! Do you think we should invite anyone else? Hmm, but if it doesn't like magic, how can I survive?
-Spirit- I survived by an indirect application of my magic to reality—an infinite wavelength photon, wrapped around my body to shield me from the Outside. I shielded my thoughts by multiple failsafes, redundancies, and links to Existence. Although your magic to protect yourself is very good, it may be too philotically complex to withstand the influence of the Outside, anyway. You require another method.
