Powerful how?

<Snipped quote by Audacious>

Sure. Jealousy’s a real thing.

So you can imagine how it was perceived, ages and ages ago, when we hit that point that any society does when it’s advanced enough. Going to space, colonizing worlds, eventually even going interdimensional, admittedly something easier for us than most. How others looked in on us from outside.

*groans in thought*
What are the possibilities of me infecting it? Like, what could happen?

I imagine it could crash? Are you able to infect it?

Well, it can fight off other beings control when people try to invade it as a pathogen, and it is utilized in a large number of rituals and events.

Wait a second, back up. It’s used for what now?

I didn’t realize there was a community or something who would get upset by that.

I can, but it takes more out of me than if it was my sister.
*my tail swings side to side*
It could be better than my sister since my data is clean.

I mean, it’s nothing that us Dragons do if that’s what you are wondering. Looking at history and reading though my mother’s books, I’ve noticed that human blood has been used for a variety of stuff like that. Even to heal other humans.

It’s a common occurrence. Look at it like two neighboring nations, for example. One of them has technologies and resources the other does not. The sort that improves quality of life in ways infeasible to the other. In a normal diplomatic relationship, the country with the technology would, perhaps, share the secrets and knowledge of such things out of a sense of kindness or humanitarianism. That sort of thing. Builds a working relationship that then spawns alliances and all that follows.

It almost sounds like your people had overwhelming strength, so they wouldn’t need it.

That’s just recorded events that I have read about. A common use for humans is transfusions, creating vaccines, or studying.

That is true, the first part. This is all history, of course, so I wasn’t there for it or anything. But what we were taught is that we were a peaceful people at that point and didn’t have experience in conflict, even amongst ourselves. War wasn’t something that had ever even been recorded in our history before then.

Yeah, we use it for that sort of stuff too. Nothing ritualistic though.

But still, being able to do that is impressive. But yeah there are many cultures, comparatively to the multiverse, that utilize human blood in weird way.

It stems from several things, and it’s historically disputed since there’s no officially agreed-upon reason. It’s most likely either due to old teachings that stem from the mystical side of the Elements, or understanding of their destructive power and what it would do in the event of any civil war.

That’s less impressive and more uncomfortable.

To be as to the point as possible? Violent conflict. When people didn’t believe our reasoning for not sharing and just thought we were being greedy and hostile.
