@PlatinumSkink I know I have no authority here, but I would probably say that the suggestions and so on are not going to be allowed. This is a showcase of each individual's creativity and that would be terribly undermined by allowing group brainstorming. It's a great idea, and it would be really fun, but... I don't think this contest is the place for it.

I agree, I recall a writing improvement thread existing a while back though. It'd be nice to have one.

Yeah, stay away from that for now. It has a chance to undermine the vote, and the vote is sacred.

Honestly, this is the first time we're trying it, and I don't know what'll break the contest. I figure let's be safe and just avoid any story content in here. Meta stuff ('how long are you guys writing yours?') is probably okay, just, you know..... Use your judgment, I guess, and think really hard about how it might affect the vote. At the end of the day we go with what the community wants, and if the community wants to talk beforehand, who am I to say no? We may revisit that later. For now, safest answer is to avoid talking about the content of your entry.

I've been writing since the day this contest began, and I'll be writing until 11:59 the day it has to be submitted.

When the second labour was announced I started thinking what I wanted to write and I put something on paper as well. It's just...it's boring and I'm going for something else now. I hope to have it finished a couple of days before the deadline, I managed to do that in the first writing contest and the first labour so I should be able to do so again.

We only need to write six times what we've got so far to pass that 150k limit, @RomanAria. Considering we've not really even approached the finale (or figured out for sure what it'll be), that is entirely possible.

Granted, if we should end up going above the limit, we would think taking a screenshot of one page or so of the text would serve to keep the entry below the post character limit.
